I think so. During the World Cup, some bookmakers made huge profits. Of course, they will make money seem legal by laundering money. Virtual currency is a good choice. Of course, this practice violates certain laws, but it will not stop their desire for benefits. A large number of BTC and ETH transactions will follow, and prices seem to rise accordingly.
This is my personal thought. This may be naive and perhaps sensitive. Welcome to discuss.

I hope market could recover soon, but I doubt there's any price relation to the World Cup, the practice of using virtual currency to launder money indeed exists but I don't think it's so massively induced by the world cup games

I dont see any linked between crypto and world cup, and in my opinion situation of crypto now still tired and consolidate then will be boom in a few month more. I still positive in crypto, and for sure will be bullish and all the times high again , so just wait patient for that.

I think World Cup doesn't connect with BTC and ETH. But some may promote the use of BTC and ETH for betting. But to make affect the circulation of BTC and ETH because of world cup I think that is impossible. Just a thought.

I don't see how the world cup is correlated to the value of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Sure, yes, a huge volume of fiat has been moving because of the world cup, but to whose hands? As far as i know this is between retailers, sports enthusiasts, or gambling / loan sharks. Will / are these people invested in crypto? I don't see any indication of why they would be.

and it is the dumbest choice not a good one because everything is recorded on the blockchain for the whole world to see and follow! to launder money you either use cash which is 100% anonymous or use an anon coin which is very rare to be used for that. laundering using fiat is much easier and cheaper.

I do not think it has anything to do with the world cup of all this coins, the back week is the title of whether the coin will rise at the opening of the world cup is the result of the coin price is getting worse. So in conclusion the price of coins is not determined by the World Cup.

It might increase a little, or even bigger. Depends on where the bookmarkers live and what kind of people the bookmarkers is. If the bookmarkers really love cryptocurrency and their country crypto was famous, definitely eth and btc will rise. And of course, if only the bookmarkers have many profits and wanted to all in their money to buy crypto.

I do not think there is any relationship between cryptocurrency and the world cup because they are two different thing entirely and have different goals and this cannot affect the price of coin. Yes, if the world cup ends, bookmarkers who have interest in crypto may pump into it thereby increasing the crowd but I beleive the price of bitcoin and ethereum will rise as soon as the bear period is over.

Second and most importantly, even if your first assumption is true, it won't make big move in the market. The Bitcoin and Ethereum market have billions of USD in volume. I'm sure those bookmakers money won't make any big changes in the market.

In my opinion, there will be no impact whatsoever in Crypto during the FIFA World Cup or even it has ended. Maybe their will be some transactions, trading or betting some Crypto that will go on related during World Cup but it won't affect that much. That's what I think.

If the world cup matches what is the benefits for crypto currencies mate. There are many positive news through out the world about the bitcoin but still fake news and regulations only defining the value you cheap. That is really awkward things mate.

We'll never known but in my opinion, if many coins price is rising and a lot of profits was spreading in the time of World Cup until now so i think that is a big loss in crypto market when it ends. So BTC or any coins will never survive.

We have 2 weeks to go before Fifa World cup ends and definitely we don't know what's going on in the market what we know is the whales is manipulated the price of bitcoin that's why all cryptos are affected.

I think that bookmakers don't make enough profit to cardinally change the situation. BTC and ETH might grow by 15-20% due to those transactions, that's what I think. But as market manipulators see that somebody is buying BTC they'll make their move which will end up with either red market or green market and price recovery.

The Russia legalizing Bitcoin can be taken as a good news which might bring a short term pump which is not really expected in this market situation. But I don't think FIFA has anything to do with it. FIFA might increase the revenue of betting sites. There are countries where betting is ban. In such countries, cyptocurrencies might be used for betting and this can have some minimal effect on the volume and hence, the price. But nothing to a level that it can bring a permanent pump.

To  me i do not think  that the world cup has any thing to do with the fall of bitcoin and eth i think it is the nature of the market it falls and raise and i strongly believe that in less than no time the market will boom up to its standard.

Thats a good start though. At least after the biggest dip of all time we can say that this could be the positive news about the crypto currency. Yes, it is naive to think like this but nothing is wrong in that one. World Cup is itself a gambling portal for many people, and I think more than 90% of people does the gambling and put lot of bets on the market. Some of them might be doing it via crypto currencies and some of them might just exchange their winning into the crypto currencies later on. I understand your idea but i think it is conceived out of hope and desperation rather than out of logic. The fact of the matter is that most betting on the world cup will be done through regulated bookmakers who are watched by regulatory bodies extremely tightly to make sure things like this don't happen. Betting is not illegal and bookmakers would not be able to launder money because everything they make is above board and they could lose their license and reputation over it at the very least.

I don't think so to be honest. I believe that Russia is a crypto friendly country and during the World Cup session, a amount of transactions may happen. So it was supposed to rise the price in the time frame. But it is not happening. I think so many negative incidents are responsible behind this. But this is true that market will gradually grow if any market manipulating situation won't happen.

How it can be the start of the rise which is suppose to be the start of World Cup? You knew it that there will be a massive demand for sports book to get more bettors because of it. There's no connection of World Cup and bitcoin rise or eth, it's an independent market where it's fully depending to the demand and supply which you can see on their charts. If ever bitcoin starts to rise after the World Cup, there's no relation to it.

Possible thing but can you consider on how much money would be taken out by those bookie owners? It wont really be that much for us to presume or consider that it would able to affect the overall market.Ive seen similar threads talking about this World cup thing connected or trying to correlate with the current situation of the cryptocurrency market which it turns out not to be really relevant on any angle.

World cup has nothing to do with the crypto prices even theres a usage on some points when it comes to bets but it wont really be too much.

Thats a good question. I am great believer of soccer and i think currently most of the crypto lovers has gotten engaged into the football. This is the reason there is no great movement in the crypto space currently. It could be possibility that whales are also engaged in the soccer betting or some sort of match fixing stuff as they have big fat wallets! (Reality  ::)) And thats why our crypto market has suffered a lot currently. As soon as the World Cup will end, people know where they have to head next and they will start putting back everything and more than the previous one into the crypto currencies. Everything is pretty much tied to the price of Bitcoin at the moment, so whatever is happening with Bitcoin dominates the remainder of the markets. Bitcoin is still trading within a range that has an upper limit of $9,300 and a lower limit of $5,800 so when it breaks above that range you can confirm the end of the Bear market. I don't think that will be happening during July however.

We have seen by now that the world cup had nothing to do with the fall in prices of these coins. I kept saying all that time, when all of this gist was flying all around. I don't see how  it affected it, and why people would think that it die. The world cup had ended long ago, and the prices of these coins are no where near being good, rather, they just keep falling.
