Altcoins were going down because bitcoins prices are falling since the start of this year and most of the altcoin price just depends on the bitcoin so we will see the recovery on altcoin when we see the rise in bitcoin price.What we need to do now is just remember the volatility is just a normal in the crypto field so we have to keep patient and keep on holding to make profits from our investment.

Yes, a lot of bad news all over the social media , print and even on broadcast media about the recent incident in South Korea about crypto hacking which involved 31 m capital asset of crypto, this triggered the panic trading into the crypto currency market trading. Not to mention the issue on Banned,Scammer, and  never ending issue put up  by the government financial institution vs. Bitcoin. all of this contribute to the drops of Bitcoin price as posted on the treed. The only thing we can do is be more PATIENT, HOLD ON until the the market recover itself and stabilized to a more favorable status.

I agree with you that it will continue to decrease, when hacked mxgot, that is the reason why Bitcoin discount. But now I do not see a reason for Bitcoin to drop, so I think it will increase in the future. What interests me now is where to buy money when it's low

Recently, we saw many negative news cisculating regarding cryptocurrencies like Indian banks' uncertainty, Bithumb hack, South Korea tax regulations, tether manipulation etc along with the required correction after last year pump. This all brought a huge dump recently. But according to many sources (Thomson Reuters, Coinbase, ETH co-founder), institutional money is waiting on sidelines to enter crytpo. Since, SEC has made the road clear for ETH and price is all time low, we can expect more institutional money to enter the market soon. This is expected to bring a price pump.

So, party isn't over, it has just started. Best time to make some investments.

Yes, I agree with your opinion. The correction resulted in almost all the coins falling, and that's somehow when it will happen. All we have to do is stay calm and do not make a sell decision when panicking. Holding patiently, waiting for the market to recover is a better option.

Basically altcoins price went down because bitcoins price went down too so if it goes up, I think there is a chance for these altcoins to go up as well. Best thing to do now would be to hodl. But if you have weak hands, you sell them and eventually sell for losses. You either choose between the two, but if I were you I would hold them until it recovers back.

If you are holding top altcoins (in the first 50 on coinmarketcap), then just keep holding, they'll recover eventually. If you are losing the money from less popular projects then it is probably better to sell the coins for bitcoin, because it is still the most trusted thing on the market, even though the price is so bad. Your decision should depend on what you expect to happen in the nearest future. If you feel the coins will go down even more - you can simply sell everything for tether just to stabilize the current state of your funds without dealing with fiat money. Good luck!

I think we can do so when the market is too big for us to buy a coin that we know we will buy and hold and as for the losers in their altcoin we can just hold it for no we lose even when it drops just wait for the price to rise and then we sell it when the price is expensive

Almost everyone having the same question the reason is no one want to see red market everyone want green market. Mostly alt coins depend on Bitcoin’s price & bitcoin still traveling to correction.
So in this situation as we are looking market is red, selling of alt coins will not be a good decision, but we have to hold coins & can wait for a major pump.

Thanasis has it right.  This is a continuing pattern.  All coins are currently tethered to Bitcoins price.  If Bitcoin goes up, so do Alts.  If Bitcoin goes down, so does the market.

The bitcoin's price affects this market too much. Since the drop from of BTC from 20k, we are in the downtrend of this market! For me, I usually buy the dip, there will be profit in the future anyway! Hope that the market will recover soon!  8)

The thing to do now is add new altcoins to your portfolio or add more existing altcoins in your wallet that can potentially moon at the 3rd or 4th quarter of this year. The altcoin dip start its journey in the end of january. I hodl till the end of february as i was reading that Chinese New Year is to blame for bearish market and once it pass bullish  would come again. I was hodling.
Than March and April gone and altcoin dip was more dip, whole market was red and i was reading that after rain and storm sun will come, and i was still hodling.
Than May gone and June will pass and more dip became bottomless dip and i am still hodling.

Well altcoins price are going down because of BTC. The price of BTC is controls the price of other coins. BTC rate is very low now but soon it will start to recover and the market will come to a stable situation.

Yup, so far 2018 is not good for crypto currency market, we always saw dips. I think the best thing to do if ever we buy coins and we see its dumping lets cut our losses and buy back when it goes down more and then have patient hold your coin possession until it pumps again. With everything being in the red, now is a good time for me personally to look into buying the dip. I wouldn’t just throw money into any alt coin though without doing tons of research. There are a couple of legit coins I’ve been looking at buying some small bags of for the past couple of months. More than likely I’ll be buying some of these coins in the next two weeks.  I personally believe we will be seeing a bull run within the next couple of months. I’m not saying it will be anything like the run in 2017, but for me it doesn’t matter if the bull run comes now or in 2019. I think that the reason why the value of altcoins is dropping is because of the Bitcoins price trajectory. Once Bitcoin's price goes down, most of the altcoins goes down too. It is because of the transactions between the two. You need to have Bitcoins to buy Altcoins.
