Post by: andryhari on June 26, 2018, 02:05:41 PM
In my heart there are a few questions that until now have not been solved or maybe from other members there are also like me. my question is why the price of some crypto from one exchanger to another is different, for example coin A in binance 2$ and in one of the other exchange coin A is 2.1$, it's a little bit difference, whereas coin is same, it should be coin same price must be the same.
what's your opinion all about sir?

I think it's because of the people (trader) in every exchanger. For example, people from A exchanger loves trade X coin and then people from exchanger B loves trade Y coin. Of course, X coin in A exchanger will higher than B exchanger (usually) it's because X coin has a lot of transaction in A exchanger (supply and demand).

That is because those coins or tokens has no fix price. There are many owners and nobody can control them from setting the price they want in any exchanges they prefer to sell.

Many small and medium-sized investors, even by themselves, are able to force the price of crypto currencies to creep up by increasing demand for it. In the case, when manipulators stimulate the acceleration of price growth, this stirs up a massive stir around the acquisition of this cryptocurrency, and as a result, growth becomes even more rapid. Price jumps due to the arrival of large investors on the market also stimulate the growth of interest in the cryptocurrency and the growth of its price.

There are many pennies in the microelectronics market and their prices are also different. This depends on the value, the number of participants and the profitability it brings. Even the value of each electronic currency in each country is different. Because each country's currency value differs.

It is because all of those cryptocurrency exchanges have their own market, and different exchanges have their own trading volumes and of course they have limited supplies of those cryptocurrencies so if there is high demand on a specific coin on that exchange the value of that coin may be more expensive than the value of that coin on other exchanges. Look at what happened in Zimbabwe, the price of Bitcoin is more expensive than any other exchanges it is because they only have one Bitcoin exchange there which is golix and the demand is very high due to economic crisis that they are experiencing. By the way this question had been answered a lot of times, just explore the forum or simply google it and you will get those answers.

It will depend on the exchanger and the demand for that crypto and that a day traders job to get a good profit on a crypto where they can find an exchanger with different market price having the same crypto. Well in that case it is bad to buy a 2.0 USD crypto then sell it to another exchange with 2.1 USD market price because it will just compensate the cover of transaction fee that will result to the lose of your possible profit or even compromise the money you invested on cryptocurrency.

Well it happens because of the law of demand and supply, the more people buy a particular coin in one particular exchanges, the more the price changes compare to other price, so it is an open market and people choose the price they want to buy or sell.

The reason for the difference in the price of each coin is that the amount of coins stored in each exchange is different, and the number of investors is different for each exchange. Investors are tempted to invest in a short period of time because they are very quick to raise or lower their coin prices, and exchange centers with these groups are expected to be prone to price fluctuations.

Of course, the price of electronic coins is different. In every country in the world, the value of every penny is different. They will convert to the official currency used. For example, in the UK, the dollar is used and the Vietnamese is used. The price of each bitcoin is different.

It is the same market on different exchange, different sellers, different buyers and apparently a little bit of gap in value. The main reason why you see them sometimes close to each other is due to those who are into arbitrage trading (the simultaneous buying and selling of securities, currency, or commodities in different markets or in derivative forms in order to take advantage of differing prices for the same asset; according to Webster); so literally, you cannot obviously expect the price to be exactly the same BY ALL MEANS across exchanges.

Consider this example. Person A buys a sandwich from US at $1 and the same person goes to India and buys the same sandwich for $1.5 because the price in India for that particular sandwich is more. People love the sandwiches there which has caused greater demand for it in India and that's why the vendor has increased its price. Similar thing happens in crypto exchanges . Many exchanges have different prices for the same coin because of greater demand in one exchange than the other. I hope you understand why the prices are different for the same coin now.

Never mind altcoin big coin like bitcoin is also same, volatile depends on demand of each user exchange, but price isn't Far from flat price, my question is only a few coins that are much different with the average exchange rates such as BCD (Bitcoin Diamond), for some reason in Binance can be up to 6 - 8x other market prices.

There are some reasons behind this. The most active reason is demand and supply. Usually, demand and supply fluctuation is responsible for the price up-down. You can also think differently like value of USD and EUR is not same in every market. Though it varies by geo location.

This question is somehow very complicated, the market value each individual coin derive is as a result of many factors like the technology behind a coin, the support of developers and the community and sometimes the circulating supply of the coin!

Because for each trading platform, or each country, the trading volume for a currency is different, the buy and sell orders are also different, so it makes a difference, never has complete identity.

It depends on the sell and buy order on each exchange. The price of coin in each exchange is totally independent of each other.
It's about how much the user of that exchange are willing to buy a coin for.
It's the arbitrage traders that play the role to keep the price nearly equal in every exchange.

probably because of the different supply and demand in each exchanger so influential with the price in each exchanger. The popularity of the exchanger also affects the daily transaction volume.

Each exchange has its own traders and each exchange has its own pricing but the demand and supply of that particular coin fixes the price I think. As you said I have seen some difference in price for the same coin on different exchanges and I to wondered how this is possible and why this is happening, but I do not have a clue. May be the posts in this thread can give some reasons for our questions.

Just a note that these price differences can be used for arbitrage. If you buy low on one exchange and transfer to the next to sell higher, you can make a decent profit. However, you must be sure to take into account trading and transferring fees. You have to be sure that this move will be actually beneficial for you, and not just a waste of time.

The price of coins is different in different exchanges because of the buying and selling power of the buyers and sellers, buyers choose the price they want to sell on different exchanges and sellers choose the price they want to sell.

The price is always about the same. It may just be that one stock exchange or exchanger is faster or later updated with a new course that is not stable on the market so there are such small mistakes, but you can always put your price!

Crypto price is determined by buyers and sellers of every exchanges. Although the price might be slightly different, it should be too far apart normally.

There can be several reasons.

Reason 1: Suppose there are two exchanges A and B. On exchange A, volume is high and there are many buy/sell orders. Meanwhile on B, volume is negligible and only 2-3 trades happened ever. Price of coins are usually the last price on which order has been filled. So price on A will be genuine since many buyers and many sellers represents true prices. But on B, price may be high or low due to manipulation on those 2-3 trades or maybe those trades were done 1-2 days before.

Reason 2: Many exchanges don't let you sell beyond few decimals like Binance, HitBTC. Hence, decimals in case of cryptocurrencies may brought difference upto $0.2

Owners of coins when buying or selling their coins set the price they like. This process can not be controlled by anyone and that is why this situation is happening.

The reason is because the demand and supply in the market. When the coin is very popular and functional. the project is good, so the volume of the coin will increase and it can give the impact to the price. For ex why is every currency in the world different..?? It is because the functional of the currency. You can use USD all around the world but you can not use Yuan or Yen in some countries.

Different exchanges have their own policies, fees, volumes, and pricing, different exchanges of different traders putting different prices from their buy and sell orders not mentioning some local exchanges which can make a difference from the price of a certain coin sometimes and some people trade with different exchanges and that is called arbitrage trading, it is so risky and you need to be very careful trading like that.

Cause it only depends on market buyers and sellers in a certain exchange. Mainly it varies of its starting selling and buying price as set by exhanges site, it may change when people will start to trade their coins. If that certain exchange have huge numbers of investors, definitely prices will be having a huge different from other exchanges.

Even in the real market, products vary in price in the different markets.
Also manipulations occur in the market, as investors can pushnup or pull down the price. Investors also vary on the different exchanges.

In my own idea I think it is because it will depends of the trader and aside from that in every coins it has an appropriate value so that it would run in a sequence. In the other hand the coins sequence brings difference when it goes to exchange.

Everything depends on the demand for the coin and speculation around it. The different location of stock exchanges also influences, because different countries put different prices. And the stock exchanges themselves are not sinless sometimes inflating prices and commissions.

Although the coins are same, they are not linked to a common global market. Every exchange in the world has its own market and therefore the prices differ according to the number of people trading on a particular exchange, trading volume, etc.

It depends on the bid value that people place on an exchange and the demand it has on a particular exchanges. More the demand, more are the prices. Trading volume plays an important role in it.

True, crypto currencies are controlled by nobody but yet by everybody that hold the coins. There is no single owner of any crypto currency. Its price is decided by the people all around the world that either hold them or trade them.

Therefore people trading on an exchange decide the price of the coin and then there is of course demand and supply and trading volume that play vital role in deciding price of a coin on a particular exchange.

True. Supply and demand plays important role in this. If the number of buyers on an exchange for a particular coin are more than the number of sellers i.e. demand is more than the supply, than the price of that coin is more and if the demand is less than supply, there is drop in its value. The trading volume of an exchange also plays a vital role in deciding the price of a coin on a trading exchange.

It is always like that there are some exchangers that delay the value or they are not that fast updated. They are alike in the value but not exactly. You can see it in their FAQ sometimes but the best solution to know why is to contact support they will answer you for sure.

Each exchange will have different volumes, will have different number of users and will have capital from different users. There is someone who will spend a lot for trading for example in exchange bittrex this will make the volume of the exchange is larger than other exchange, and vice versa.

It depends on coins turnover for exchange - criptocurrency exchanges with small turnover have prices that significantly differ form exchanges with big coins turnover

This is a very good and well explained suggestion as this is how it really happen and I think this also happens in normal business and not in crypto alone.

the higher the supply the lower the price it will need time to grow the price meanwhile having low supply means higher price of each piece of coin. the coin price needs to grow bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency naturally it will have the most demand thats why the price is the highest of all of them.

I hope you understand why the prices are different for the same coin now.
yes, I understand that, if we buy goods in the UK for $ 1 and for india need more money in Indian currency.

The basic reason for this problem is related to volume on different exchanges, if a particular exchange has less volume means it will have less volatility in its price and vice versa. Volume plays a key role in deciding the price of a coin, you will observe that when a coin enters a exchange volume is initially low and price is high but after some days price starts to fall as people try to sell and more volume increases due to which it becomes less volatile.

It's different because it depends on how many people are trading in those exchanges. Coins that are more expensive on binance are caused by traders which makes the volume higher.
And if you'll see on other exchangers that some of them are quite cheap, you better check on how many buy and sell orders are there. When you figured out on how few traders are there, you've got an hint on why they don't have identical pricing.

Traders, volume make the difference.
But this can be an advantage for traders that do "arbitrage" (they buy low and they sell high on the other exchange). In this way the price will normalize too.

It's clearly because the supply and demand of each coin is different.
And also the utility of the coins and the popularity, all those aspect determine the price of a coin

The price of a certain coin or token is driven by the community. Exchanges are just bridges for the community or people and the coins and tokens. People decides how much they want to pay for a certain coin. This is common in all exchanges that exists. The exchanges have no control over this since they are just the intermediary party. So if a person A wants to sell coin A for $2 then he can sell that coin in any exchange for $2, same way if person B wants to sell his coin A for $2.1 then he can also sell them for $2.1 in any exchange. The problem is not the exchange, it is the people selling.

it depends on the people who holds or trade that certain coin. just think of the demand for that coin. if many people are holding or buying it, the possible reason for its price is to increase, the other coin will be divided the people who buy and who hold it. because not all people are buying all altcoin because it would be so hard.

I think because that coin dont have same volume. On exchange A for example, volume transaction on X coin $1mil and on exchanger B volume transaction only $10.000. Sometimes its because manipulation on price order and sometimes its because on one exchanger not updating order price

It differs because there are different traders in every trading platform. Even Bitcoin have the same scenario in every exchange. Although altcoin is more volatile because it is not as popular as Bitcoin.

This is because each exchange has its own investors and on different stock exchanges, people display a different price for buying and selling. It is because of different people's demand that the price is slightly different.

As most of the coins are on decentralized platform and are highly volatile, it is easy for large investors (whales) to manipulate the price of a particular coin to a certain level. There are groups of people on exchanges that pump and dump particular coins to certain levels to ensure their profit by buying together or selling together in bulk. Even this phenomenon can sometimes lead to difference in prices of a coin on different exchanges.

You should look at the trading volume of the exchange. If the exchange with large trading volumes at the same altcoins is usually not significantly different, the liquidity is very good and it represents the price of the altcoin in the market. Some small trading floors may have higher value but the liquidity is very low. This difference comes mainly from the trader each exchange.

In my opinion it is all about competition, I mean in your home city/country or wherever you are from, prices are different from your capital city/bigger city/smaller city, town and ect. There is demand and supply on different exchanges, therefore prices make a little difference, as some exchanges have bigger supply/demand and therefore prices also vary, based on volume and ect. Nothing too complicated, you could actually earn on that difference if you are quick enough and of course with a bit of luck.

to me it all depends on the traders over there, if the trade volume is much there you will the market will have higher value but if there no buyer there in that exchange then you will the get's low. so to be at the safer sides wen trading is that you will have to trade were there is much volume.
secondly what matters is that; if the coin is listed on some major exchange, i mean the first place were it's listed you will the going there to sell and buy the other exchange will be added then first one price will higher than rest once listed.
so that is all about the market variations.

The difference in the rate of the same asset (for example, bitcoin) on different exchanges is explained by the fact that in each market there are sellers and buyers who pursue different goals.  Some of the participants want to buy bitcoins in order to make an urgent payment, so he is ready to acquire a crypto currency right now, at any price.  Someone wants to stock up the digital currency for long-term investment - and he expects a profitable course for himself.  And they are all willing to pay different amounts (or require a different fee).  Therefore, it is not uncommon for one of the sellers to offer bitcoin for 6100 US dollars on the exchange, while on the EXMO exchange another participant is ready to pay $ 6,300 for this asset. And the most interesting is that no one on EXMO is in a hurry to satisfy his demand - there sellers want at least $ 6,350 for their "goods".

The answer is simple, the balance is not same anymore. Many crypto transactions in different value create different price between exchange and no one can predict it. As long the gap is not far you don't have to worry. But if far you can use it to make money with swing method. Different is good opportunity create money and when same number ( price ) happen, we should wait more longer and that's boring.

The fundamental purpose behind this issue is identified with volume on various trades, if a specific trade has less volume implies it will have less instability in its cost and the other way around. Volume assumes a key part in choosing the cost of a coin, you will watch that when a coin enters a trade volume is at first low and cost is high yet after some days cost begins to fall as individuals endeavor to offer and more volume increments because of which it turns out to be less unstable.

Typically, the crypto rate at CMC (Coinmarketcap) is the average price of the crypto when traded on different exchange floors. The difference in exchange rates is due to the volume of trading and the exchange rate at each interval between exchange floors, which are negligible, usually under $ 0.5. So you do not have to worry about it, trade cryptos at the highest volume.

Because of the different demand of all cryptocurrencies, once crypto have higher demands surely its value is possible to increase, like what happen to Bitcoin and Ethereum. And also it depends to its supply like Bitcoin, since its supply is limited and the demand is higher, so its become expensive. While to other crypto even they have enough  supply but there are less demand only so their price is cheaper.

Just like we were taught in economics, the value of a product increases depending on how much demand it has in thee market. When the demand of a coin increases, there is a most likely possibility that the price of the coin will increase also.

Because they have too different value and their own characteristics that help cryptocurrencies to survive and to develop in common on the cryptomarket.

The difference in price is very policy. The country and the country have different coins, so the price of the cryptocurrency is different.

The first reason, of course, is territorial. The contingent of the exchange depends on which currency it accepts and how it is possible to withdraw funds. Another good reason is that at each exchange its sellers and buyers.

Yes, speculation in the market as well as the time delay of data exchange between servers.
The volume of trading on platforms also matters

The more demand there is, the higher the value, and the value is determined by the market.

Because there is no fixed price for any coins, so the price for them is different everywhere!

The high and low exchange rates of the currencies depend on several factors:
1 / Purchasing power of money compared to artifacts or services in the country. If the money is stable without inflation, the unit set from the low end of the commodity itself has a high price.
2 / Trade relationship of the country with money : if more than import, money devaluation.
3 / general trust of the user. It is a vote on the macroeconomic state of the issuing country.
4 / Convenience of money, Like US dollars paid everywhere in the world, EURO in many countries ...

Because the market is new and ineffective. In general, price gravitates toward higher volume exchanges. And we can use the disbalance by arbitraging between exchanges. It's really hard to track all the info and there are some services to help us with it: CMC, CrysScan, etc

I find it a good idea ,  the law of demand and supply, the more people buy a particular coin in one particular exchanges, the more the price changes compare to other price, so it is an open market and people choose the price they want to buy or sell

Their values are too different to have similar prices, so their prices depend on their value and volumes which are the main indexes in the coin's development.

The price is different because initially they were created for different tasks. Each coin has its own unique purpose. And the more people believe in its great future, the more expensive it is. Similarly, with a decrease in price.

This difference depends on the value, volumes and support of the coin. If the cryptocurrency is strong in these aspects, its price will increase so much.

Have wondered about this,
i also wonder why the price isn't very different.

But like people said, depends on the volume buys and sells, used by a lot of people to transfer between exchanges and make a profit, did it a couple of times, but get's complicated with withdrawal fees, switching to a different coin perhaps to make the transfer easier etc.

this happens because the total supply is more and less, besides that currently it also depends on investors in holding the price and altcoin they have!

It all depends on the volume of trading on the stock exchange, plus there are still different commissions for issuing orders from different stock exchanges, here's the difference of course.

The market price of alternative cryptocurrencies as well as bitcoin would be determined by the law of supply and demand so when on Binence, that the man would be greater price will be higher.

which is why there are different demands on a coin in different stock exchanges. this may depend on the country or the stock market culture.

Well the prices of cryptocurrency coins are different because of so many reasons I will mention but a few. The cryptocurrency coins are of different project and are handled by different team so the can fix their prices differently also the exchangers has a role to play

of course everything will be different because indeed the market is managing these prices which are the target of investors, it will be high and those that are not chosen will be dumped. so each product must have a different price depending on how high a person's interest in the product is

This is simply and it is called arbitrage , which means a slight difference in price of a coin in two different exchange , it occur once a while due to the trader on those exchange , for example in exchange A one trader set buy order at $2 and no one in that same exchange is selling in that price but $2.1 and if someone agree with such order and place the buy order at that price then it will hit the price and in exchange B people there might not agree to that price and the price will have to stay until there is a mutual agreement between the buyer and the seller , so in this regard the price look different . But in little time go back to same and if it doesn't then there must be an issue somewhere which lead to lock of deposit and withdraw for time being and till the issue is reset.

The difference in the rate of the same cryptocurrency at various exchanges is explained by the fact that in each market there are sellers and buyers who pursue different goals. Some of the participants want to buy coins for the purpose of making an urgent payment, so he is ready to acquire the cryptocurrency right now, at any price. Someone wants to stock up the digital currency for long-term investment - and he expects a profitable course for himself. And they are all willing to pay different amounts (or require a different fee).

I often find price differences at each exchange. I think this is one of the coin exchange strategies to make a profit too. Where can they benefit if they do not take the difference in coin prices? Because I think, just relying on WD's costs won't make them profitable.

If it's the same, it's not cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrency is not centralized, so I make sure the price will continue to change even though the Exchange is different.

If you want the same then just choose Gold.

It could also be like that because the team from the Bursa side also wants to make a profit.
But maybe it is more appropriate that when cryptocurrency is already on the market it cannot be predicted and the price is always up and down because the difference in the owner of the coin is not centralized.

ofcourse every coins and tokens has their different prices which projects and ico's hold by their project plans. It is just like simmilar to currency around the world, they have a lot of different prices and exchanges are compared to dollars. In cryptocurrency also has different prices and when it is traded to exchange, it is convertable to bitcoin price or ethereum.

The price of the coins is mainly dependent on the supply and demand factor and so you see different prices of coins on exchanges because the trading being done on a coin on different exchanges are always different and the higher the volume being traded then the higher the price of the coin on that exchange. Also some exchanges put higher prices so as to draw more users to them.

because every crypto has developer differences, different uses, differences in total supply and everything is different
for the influence of the exchanger, usually the highest volume exchanger is the actual price, a difference of 5%, it will make many people arbitrage, and I say it's normal

I just want to give a reason why the price of each different token does not follow based on a single price reference. one factor that supports the price difference that occurs in each token is the different total supply for each token. usually the less supply of tokens, the more expensive the token price will be, and vice versa. but I think all the token prices depend on the ability and market interest in the token, if the token is much sought after in the market I think the price will be more expensive.
