I see a person post PRIVATE KEY in Airdrop Telegram channels (Because there are many people who do not know info about phishing methods ) They use different ways to trick people .So if you see

This is a ETH wallet based on SMART CONTRACT "IF YOU SEND TO THIS wallet ETH It’s  Auto transfer ETH balance to other ETH wallte.
Do not even think  transfer  a small amount of ETH  to withdraw coins because you will not be able to withdraw anything and you will lose your money.

This is the current technique of these scammers. The most people that must be aware of it are the airdrop active people.
Airdrops must be free and you don't have to send any amount.

Those who are interested in Airdrop should only participate in free campaigns and never send money

Worth sharing! This should be seen by people who participates in any airdrops especially those project that is asking for you to send some money. There's a new way to scam people everyday, so be careful and don't be greedy on earning some money always think for sure safety and if that airdrop worth the risk.

Only stupid person falls for that trick. When a case involves sending a amount of ethereum to other address, be sure to verify if the address if confirmed and legit. It is obvious that if there are any malicious tricks in it, be sure not to try and test it because every transactions made is irreversible.

I have seen so many times people have created an awareness thread like this one. It looks like someone was putting an additional code to make it will become create a transaction and send it to the scammer's wallet. This is a big question and there's not people can discover it.

That's why beginners should be very careful and attentive and this kind of scams. Better to read first and ask for the legitimacy of that kind of program. Some airdrop program increases its offers to enable participants to trust them and fill up their form without thinking that it would be their loss. For those who want to earn more, participate in projects endorsed by trusted advertisers so that you/we won't be scammed.

its a pity many new member who is dont have experince about airdrop fill the regist form and inpute their private key, participate in airdrop was not wrong, but never fill your PK wallet on there.

I have seen many technique like this by the scammers and we must be careful of this kind of modus, we should not give any kind of payments anonymously and this thread of yours will be  a great help for everybody that they will be more aware on this kind of modus. Thanks for this sir :)

They are honey wallets. They contain some tokens with value that lures anyone to transfer them to their wallet. But these token bearing wallet has zero ETH. Unsuspecting person sends some ETH for fee to these wallets and as soon as the wallet receives it, it is sent automatically to another wallet keeping the wallet still void of ETH.

I would like to add to my post , in fact this method  losing a person some money just because it sends a small amount of ETH to withdraw the TOKENS in the wallet  :-X and maybe repeat the process several times to understand that he can't withdraw anything  8) but the owner wallet now have large amount of these small quantities . Tow wallet recieved  more than 450 ETH until now and beginners still fall into the trap :-\

Well, you tried to steel the wallet owner's tokens but he was smarter than you and stole your ether :)

Now it's a lot of wallet popping up, this should be our control not to be greedy, so we must remain cautious not to give the wallet or private key to any person/email.

The person who sends ETH to this wallet makes two mistakes:
THE First because he wants to take something not for him.
And second because he entered the World of Crypto Currencies without knowledge of security and digital protection.

A large number of newcomers who do not have experience can get caught in this fraudulent trick. I think that many airdrops use it to fool people. We really need to be more careful when dealing with free tokens - sometimes this is a special trap.

Its showing private key to lure some newbie to sent eth for gas in hoping to get the token in that wallet. Its has a contract when you send eth on that wallet its automatically sent eth to other wallet.

Good thing to post some information regarding to that matters so that the newbie people will find out that the one who's been looking for is totally scam and we need to seek always those reliable wallets which had been running for more years or better stick with the hardware wallets to be more safer.

Many ways that 'scammer' use to commit their crimes. We should be careful because some airdrop is used for crime by asking private key etc.

This is a good information, i remember one of my friends he said his eth was gone without doing any transactions maybe he joined in some airdrop using this tricks thats why he lost his eth. For newbies especially those who are joining in airdrop you should be more careful and take some knowledge before entering some airdrops. Especially those airdrop which is they called self airdrop. Scammers now are more knowledgeable to tricks some investors to just earn some money.

Hello my friends I noticed that some people did not read the Post quietly and they confuse two things.
Between this method, which depends on use a privetkey wallet containing a quantity of tokens , and this wallet based on an smart contract.
And between the scam airdrop who ask people to send their privetkey.

Yups thats why its called airdrop because it must be free,and i dont know how this scammers come to have victims when the strategy is totally obvious those victim must be noob or fool ,never send ethereum when your only participating in hunting.thats it

Sharing a private key in public is extreme stupidity. I wonder what is driving these people. And they are sending money to nobody who knows. Whether the desire for a small profit like airdrop can so much blind people to threats.

Once an airdrop requires you to send money (or ETH) to gain money, then it is much better to ignore it. Joining in airdrops usually requires only your account (sign-up method) and others are by KYC (Know-Your-Customer). If an airdrop wants you to send money first before receiving the token, it is a sign that it is a scam.

The airdrop group is just a way to distribute this key. A person sees a private key and wants to steal tokens. As soon as he sends there the ETH for GAS, it automatically goes to the wallet of scammers. In my opinion, scammers are both.

As of now they have some site have uses as same as Myetherwallet, So we need to be careful about that because if you register in there or you private was put on that site maybe your coins you have at your wallet be all gone.

It seems that there are still many people whose security awareness is very weak. They even hand over their private keys to the phishing website. This is a very dangerous thing. I have heard someone wants to get EOS for airdrop, the wallet private key was imported into the phishing website, and lost tens of thousands of EOS, which is very unfortunate.

Do not get greedy.

Scammers are outsmarting people by placing taunting baits to desperate people. Being desperate in earning or accumulating tokens with high value could blind you. You know that that wallet/private key is not yours and a moral person will never try to steal tokens in that wallet. Due to greediness, the retaliation is instant.

Which is correct, never get to greedy and work for your gain, I know this particular incidents is due too aggressiveness to earned with decent amounts, forgetting the basic rules of taking care of your wallets, instead of gaining for sure with this wiser scammers it will sucks your wallet and lose everything that you have, be careful as always.

This is not the first time I have seen people do this. Best thing to do is to ignore. Unfortunately, some greedy newbies still fall for this kind of tricks/scams.

This is a very useful topinion that helps to the other member here to prevent their money in scammed. But the question is why are you interested to view his/her wallet if you don't have an intentions to his/her money transfer to your wallet. It means you are one of the scammer in this crypto-world. It's better to focus on your own account and keep safe with your private key.

Thanks for the information, i saw activities like this one, and iv checked the IN ETH it was about 100, thats crazy... over 100ETH has been sent to this adress by small amounts like 0.003 ETH

Thanks a log for this information. i have fallen a victim to one of those phishing techniques and i can boldly say that it was not a nice experience.And the funny part of it was that i was just eager to receive some airdrop tokens and ended up landing in such trouble. Lets continue this good work and help each other.

It was the same technique they once used to scam me. The moment they realize that you have applied for a promising airdrop, they just get your email and send you a mail asking you to redeem your tokens. And through a series of tasks, they ask you to enter your private key at the end and that ends it.

Since i joined crypto i never join airdrop activities because of many negative aspects that i have heard of this kind of market like not paying and the given token was usually no price in the market. Then here is a new trick in which they use smart contracts so i hope that those airdrop enthusiast should be more extra careful now that instead of expecting an earnings but youre hard earned coins were already stolen.

This is an interesting form of fraud, people are sending ethereum to such wallets and can not get anything  in order to be able to receive a token that they don't own.

It must be a self-drop rather than an airdrop. Don't fall for this trap. Read many times before you click the button.

I hope developers can fix this problem, because for those who don't know it will be very dangerous. a lot of people don't know technical terminology about cryptocurrency and how to use wallet.

A lot of the AirDrop project is the scam project. They ask us to transfer an amount of ETH to other ETH address or fill out the Privatekey address on the form. So, we will lose my address also all of the tokens in it. So, be careful with any Requirement that airdrop campaign require

Maybe it will going to scam you if you give you key of your wallet. And don't give of them a ETH you must be careful always.

That is a bit strange though. This is one of the reasons why every investor and member of the space should always pay necessary attention to all that is necessary so as not to end up a victim of these scammers. if airdrop want you to send some eth then it is a scam. better stay away from it to avoid trouble. airdrops are free but if you are not careful instead of gaining something you will lose your money. scammers are smart so we must be smarter from them.

It is normal nowadays  that some of the electronic wallet in this field of business are scam because they are a great pretender, just be smart to prevent from them to avoid regrets of losing coins.

Airdrops in my opinion are counter effective for crypto projects, because they get dumped as soon as they are received.
With that said, airdrops often comes in small quantity that it cannot be traded, so people should never send ETH to any address in order to receive airdrops.
Airdrops should be free and anyone asking for ETH is probably a scammer, so you should be very careful.
Also never reveal your private keys to anyone.

I've seen many Airdrops in Twitter same like this and I'm sure it is a scam. Because Airdrops should be free and you will not send any eth to the eth address they provided. This is a warning to all new members and don't fall to this kind of scams.

i have seen this too. but never tried to open the wallet.. people daily try to snatch ether in different ways just don't open any links in the mail

This is not an airdrop guy, the scammer create a smart contract to auto transfer ETH once the address receive ETH. The aim is to scam people who found the private key and fund ETH to this address in order to transfer the token worth over $100k out.

Too many scams in crypto, we should be extremely careful and think twice before falling for “too good to be true” or other scams..

I know a person who loose all his wealth in the same scaming case for the seek of privet hydro airdrop. And i got personal email for the same scam . That was horrible.
