Good afternoon, I'll try to help you.
We start with the project itself, namely its goals and the solution of what problems the project wants to touch. We read the white paper, see how unique it is. The project site, team, work experience, reviews on different resources, what plans for fees and for the near future, activity in social networks, it is difficult to participate.

The project team is very important. Then the project itself, how appropriate the actual life is also very important. The ICO ratings web site can also provide insight. If you pay attention to these, I think you can catch good projects.

One of the steps I collected:
- Rate it in the icobench.com rankings. good ico with 4+ positive ratings
- Wep page evaluation, wep site must have high security
- Evaluate the ICO's development ideas, if bad ideas can not be developed
- Evaluation of team DEV. All information must be clear and not duplicate with another projects
---
Hope these will help you

There are too many ways to minimize all risks. But no one can say whether the ico good or no. You have to check all information about a project and a team. There are too many projects and often these projects very similar.

It is difficult to specify a scam ico project or not. There are many things to do to minimize risk in ico project participation. Among these you can read white paper, a roadmap, and check out the developer team's experience in crypto currency.

Just follow instructions and ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS.

** The Team
Are they real people?

Do they have an experience that is relevant to the project that is verifiable?

** The Technology

Are the project developers open to dialogue? open to the public ??
Are they forthcoming or are they evasive? do they dodge questions from the public ??
Are responses specific or do the parties involved speak in generalities?

** The Token
How will the tokens be used, by whom and are there any indications of support coming from the market?

At what stage the project is currently in can also be very useful ??

Is the project in the idea stage, development stage or perhaps the project has already been launched?

How will the token be used in the network and is it even necessary?

MORE IMPORTANTLY, read their whitepaper. and do extreme research.

Hey.
Previously, for example, last year was a bit easier. Such recommendations as study the project, see the team - were good. Now the projects have become very similar, uninteresting, not bright, too detached from reality. Amounts are required for space, the same and promises are given. Getting into a good ISO is almost luck.
I choose in a direction, on the manager, on structure of participants and on own internal instinct.

First of all I read about company or project which I have chosen. If it is possible I find experts to discuss with them the future of the project and also I read reviews. Also I look at the team of the project I prefer when a team consists of professionals and it is very important if any serious businessman or a company are interested of this project or even invested.

Here are my five steps when choosing ICO

* The whitepaper should reveal the whole essence of the project, from a general idea to technical details.
* A well-chosen team is part of the success, so it is important that the site has information about the team with a detailed description and contact information.
* Detailed Roadmap
* What the token offers and how it will be used in the project ecosystem.
* Realistic and unique goals of the project.

By how promising the project is or rather how useful will the coin be in future then lets talk about the team. The team should be competent enough to handle the vision of the project and finally the marketing, the publicity. Now an ico that has done all that and more is "Spotcoin".

To choose a good bounty campaign one must be very vigilant and be hardworking
The first thing one needs to do is to check the type of project he is joining, then the teams managing it and lastly the bounty manager that is managing the campaign.

When choosing a good ICO, you must see the ratings in some rating websites, and then you must read there whitepaper and see if the roadmap that they had are implemented through the days.

Just several? I think every other topic is about icos and how to choose the best one. To say in the beginning that there is no perfect formula for choosing good ico, its always risk. People can talk about it, they can spend millions on marketing and wp but that can be all in vain, ico can fail in anyway.
In the end or beginning, as you like, we need to choose icos where we know what product is, if we believe that product can be accepted by the people, institutions. If you believe in the future of ico then you find good ico for yourself.

As I know that 95% of ICO projects are scam and I also don't think it can be high like that. But I also agree that it's really hard to find out a good ICO project to invest in at the moment so I think if you can't find out any good project to invest in by yourself so you should stay away from investing in ICO project cause I don't think anyone can be generous like that cause they also need to spend so much time to find out a good project to invest in :).

Remember! This is for forecasts only. Although ICO runs successfully, there is no guarantee when listing the coin price will also be good
1. By looking at its rating from some ICO rating sites.
2. Read the whitepaper. See the roadmap of the company. Understand about the product to be offered to the community, whether it will be useful and interested in many people or not.
3. If you are a bountt hunter, better monitor first the developments of the ICO. If the ICO is selling its coin quickly, then it's good enough to follow.

1 Low hardcap
2 reliable team
3 big support from the community
4 there is a lot of transparency (the code, or any other important thing)

But all of them to be used to identifying which is reliable ico. Honestly, the innovative idea will not need multi million dollars. Take a look on zilliqa and ontology and how they have better perfomances compared with 4 billion broken blockchain like EOS. I guess the big cap of ico will not determine if it is a good ico.

Choosing the best ICO is the simplest way to do this is to look at the ICO review pages, then compare the parameters and the analysis between the pages to find your own ICO. Also, you should equip yourself with the knowledge to view and analyze ICO parameters so that potential ICOs can be found.

The existence of many scam icos has actually made everything more difficult right now. But when looking for a good ico, the idea behind the project counts. Moreover, the kind of blockchain technology that will be used also counts. There are many sites that do ico ratings genuinely without any monetary influence too. Just find one of them and go through it.

The good ICO must have Real Team Members. In order for the ICO to be real the team must be real with good intentions to the people. You must also consider their project if it has a plan for the future.. You can also read what their white paper to know more.about t their project.

I do personally depend on the popularity of a project. There's no assurance on ICO projects whether it would be successful or not. Investors can only make assumptions but would be impossible to guess if a project would be a big one or not. You may consider other aspects but the bottomline is that, there's no assurance.

I already ignore ICO project, since scam and my money get stuck into it. For safe, I only invest into project after their product ( coin ) listing on exchange. If the project have technology concept and have powerful demand, even have expensive price I'll replace my fund into it. Just try to be brave person, take one ICO project and learn from the mistakes, you'll get valuable experience.

Knowing what to look for when evaluating the potential viability of a brand new ICO is key in avoiding scams aimed at investors. Remaining calm in the midst of the ICO storm and doing your own research and be critical and ask yourself a lot of questions. Be critical, use common sense and explore any new venture from different angles . This can help you avoid getting swept up in the moment, making poor decisions and help you determine whether a project is legitimate or not.

- If ICO is just ran by few guys without any proper programming history, probably scam.
- ICO ran by team of experts and have legal adviser too, may be worthy.
- Clear roadmap and a registered company/organization behind the ICO, may be worthy.
- Heavy airdrop and big referral commision, probably scam.
- Not always but if ICO don't have KYC policy probably scam.

Do your own analysis before deciding which ICO can be worthy and go through whitepaper to figure out what they offer unique.

There's an excellent team of more than 12,000 people who only deal with really interesting ICO projects and do not work for money but on conscience! Now, the situation has changed due to the global crypto Dump and many ICO projects are in the freezing stage. Thanks for suggesting those sites. Let me check with them.

I usually do the 3 steps all the time and I have only found couple of coins that ever matched my criteria so maybe I am to conservative and the ones I invested failed miserably so I always failed to find a decent ICO and I am not sure if thats because I am bad at selecting ICO or the market dropped which caused my choices to fail.

I check the team of that ICO and see if there is anyone I ever knew before, if I heard their names thats already great, if not than I check where they worked before, if the team worked on big projects before than I trust them, if they have not worked on any big projects before why would I trust them with my money ?

Hence, in the end that decides on the step 1, than step 2 would be the white paper, see what they are trying to achieve, what problems they are trying to solve, if that problem was already solved by another coin already than I don't invest, if it was not and its actually a good problem they are fixing than I do go to step 3, which is checking the community if the community is crowded and everyone is talking about it and everyone is hyped and crazy about the upcoming release of the full version of the coin than I complete all three steps. However remember, none of the coins I invested has ever made me profit.

It is not easy to determine an ICO scam because some scam ICO is very near to reality. But if you do the following things you can minimize the risk of being scam. First, you need to visit the website of the project you want to join and see if all information are possible and visible. Research and analyze their vision in the whitepaper and roadmaps. Follow all their social media accounts. And lastly research the profile of the bounty manager if it has a high trust ratings in their bounty campaigns. Good bounty campaign managers with high trust ratings always handling a legit projects.

For me I do a few checks like check the team, check if they have a working product, but these best way i check for real projects is on the team members, I check videos and pictures on google to see the events and conference they have attend and speak at the event, at least three event i will count before passing them, In my own opinion, i think that a scam ICO will out go all out for these important events and conference across the globe.

do some research to figure out the scam. This is the most basic way that can be done to prevent the entry in the scam. see team, whitepaper, and wallets available. When it is real then it might be worth to follow. but it's just sometimes not quite as many factors else might be enough to affect the result of the ICO.

Here are the steps I do to when I look for a good ICO to invest and to do bounty.

1. Look in ICO review sites, the higher the ratings the more interested I am.
2. After I saw one, I will read the white paper.
3. I will also check the advertisement in cmc, more advertisement means the project is serious.
4. Check ANN thread in Bitcointalk
5. Check the linked in profile of the team, if it is a legit one, it is good to go.
6. Most good ICO is active in their social media accounts, fb, twitter, medium, reddit, linkedin, youtube etc.

everyone has their own criteria for choosing an ico. in choosing an ico, it's important to see the whitepaper first because we can know a lot of information about the project inside. besides, a good project will also be handles by a good team. a good team will be a positive value for investors in choosing an ico.
The major criteria for choosing a good ICO is simply to check if there is an available product before even deciding to go further. The products relevance, the importance to the space and users will all determine if there would be real demand for it or not in the long run. A lot of projects and team members are fond of giving promises that are empty and you do not want to end up catching yourself with such projects.

After this, know a lot you need to know about the team as these are the people you are banking your investment on whether you like it or not and you really want to weigh their competence, skills and past experiences when it comes to doing a great job eventually.

To choose a good ICO, you can first find a good ICO through the icobench.com rating website, then you need to carefully read the ICO project white paper, get a deeper understanding of its roadmap, and the ICO project team, etc. In-depth research will make your investment return higher
ICOBench quite alright is a good way to what top investors and analysts are saying about particular coins but should never be the basis of choosing a good ICO, but at least a guide on investments that you feel will be worth doing more research on.

One thing with this space is that you are strictly on your own and you should know quite alright that based on that, to survive, you will have to rely on your own understanding and belief about the project than someone else’s.

Good icos are easy to find for those that are ready to follow the rating by some icos rating sites.  I do invest into icos that are rated positive by both icorating.com and icobench.  These two site has done good rating on some projects and many of them are doing well in the market now.

Investing in ICOs or fully functional fresh currencies can be very profitable due to the fact that one is able to get in asset quick and often ahead of other market participants. However picking bad coin can easily lead to complete loss of investment if something goes wrong on development or coin has no long term use and the market looses faith and trust in currency which leads to collapse of value.
Shocking statistics that majority of new traders or investors do not realize is that majority of coins are the ones crashing not the ones performing with significant value increase over long period (1-3years). This is important fact to consider is

1. Check the crypto currencies forum page on bitcointalk forums.
2. Flashy images and good page setup
3.Transparent team.
4 Long term use of Coin
5.Market capitalization.

white paper is very important to understand and investigate.
also the team members must legit and we should not believe this without confirming the people behind it.
the project product and services is a big thing, we should review it.
their website and ICO going must be investigate also.

Best way is to focus on obvious extremes. Often if investing in ICO one does not know ahead what value will be collected, which means that investor has to asses sitatuation and actions later on once the coins ICO is finished. Often there is still enough time to get out of position without any major loss if its done quickly.

I determine that ICO is good when many good crypto influncers are talking about it and supporting it, then i will know that the ICO is good, then for scam ICO, i determine that an ICO is a scam when their team profile is misleading or they are hiding their team, or their team does not have any public record.

By researching the ICO project. Look at the team if they are genuine, check the roadmap and read their whitepaper. It's not easy to identify but based on what you researched you can judge it if the ICO is not a scam. You can also use the different website that giving a score or reviews about the ICO project.

I'm not sure about the ICO bench, there are many ICOs that have a high ranking there but don't achieve success. even sales tend to be far from expected. I feel that a high ranking can be found on the ICO bench if the project pays high to get a rating.

determine the good or bad of an ico depending on the individual, each person has their own way to choose and determine which ico is good, if I am usually I am not based on the rating that ico has in a place ico because ico seems good not I will definitely be a successful ico, but that does not mean that ico is like that, it's just that I also see a team of developers working on ico, if they already have good experience and knowledge about what they are doing enough to make me interested in that ico.

Choosing a goor ICO is really the hardest part. Anyway, I always prefer to spend 4-5 hours before picking an ICO for investing. The very first thing I looked at is the technology behind the project. This one plays a good role. If the idea is innovative one, most probably the project will not scam and of course, it will give you a good return. Later, I have a research on the team member and then I look for discussion on various forum or also on ICO rating sites.

White paper and how the project will be implemented during their ICO. 4. Rating of the projects. 5. Ideas and how well people can get the attentions of the projects.

For now its really hard to know of a good ICOs project most especially that there are also many ICOs that  scammed many people and we cant easily detect them because they have their encouraging project platforms.

To choose good ICO is you have to know first to know what coin that you want to invest so have a starter where to look for ICO and who to search for. You can read white paper or some related article that will help you. Once you find an ICO,  you have to search everything and everyone who manage of the project. Be wise and smart in choosing.

First, if the ICO Project has a Website, you should check and carefully from the website. Then you observe the Project team, how the team works, what the target in the team is, what opportunities in the market, how to market, how much investors and how much money. These are all important things that you must know before investing in an ICO.

Then I go ahead to read the whitepaper, and try to see what the project is all about, and if it is really worth it. If my guts trust it, then I would most likely invest in it.

I determine a good ICO if the team's performance is very responsive to investors and bounty hunters. Don't forget to look at the project trip map and their whitepaper.

I agree with your opinion. Research must indeed be done to determine whether or not a project is good. A good project certainly has a good team. Therefore, an examination of team activities must be carried out. Usually I check the activities of teams from their various social media to prove their sincerity and existence.

Just do a further review of the team and their white paper. If you think of a team and are credible and will be able to provide their roadmap on time, you know for yourself that the project has chamce to succeed. When choosing a good ICO, you should look at the ratings on some rating websites, and then you have to read the whitepaper there and see the team in the ICO.

Nowadays there are so many ICOs SCAM, how do you decide that ICO is a SCAM? and How do you determine that ICO is good?
If you can, let me know step by step how you choose a good ICO. Thanks
There is not one way that fits all but for me there are just a few things I look at;
The team members behind the project are one thing, they tell you what kind of project it is, if they are serious about it
Then the whitepaper is one thing to look at, they are usually very long so you don't have to read the entire thing, just look at the spellings, the professionalism of it, that should tell you a lot
Then the roadmap is what tells you what they plan on working on in the future and how they plan to go about it

The project team is very important. Then the project itself, how appropriate the actual life is also very important. The ICO ratings web site can also provide insight. If you pay attention to these, I think you can catch good projects.
I follow closely SciDex. They are creating a new type of smart contract generator for complex transactions. So that even regular businesses that need legally binding contracts can be on the blockchain.

I think all we need to do is do investigate about the composition of the team, partnership, and don't lazy to read the whitepaper. After you read all of that project i think you can decide this project scam or not, it's just depend on your opinion.

Before participating in any ICO I often deeply research the project. My advice is to pay attention to whether the projects have a ready-made product as it is some kind of guarantee that it is not a scam as well as long termed activity before ICO. It is an indicator that team goes straight to their goal and will not give up.

I only look at the composition of the team and developers, if the team and developers are good at having experience, and also they have succeeded in several previous projects, and KYC from all team members and developers
they are very good to be considered as potentially good projects

I always prefer the team most. Most of the ICO team use fake images and profile if they are willing to scam. So, the very first step in choosing a legit ICO is to ensure whether the team is real or fake. Then, I spend some time behind their goal, technology, their focus. If their idea is innovative and brings something good in blockchain industry, I decide to invest in that particular ICO.

I have never been so picky. I did my follow only the project is indeed obvious. for example with the achievement of a softcap. or maybe it is almost touching the softcap. This will be more secure.

The first thing i do is to check out the team and developers behind the project, then check the problem and the use case they are trying to solved if different from what other project has done before going to ratings site to check their rating.

I don't tend to invest in as many ICOs as I did last year because the market has just collapsed out from under us. This year, I have participated in a few ICOs that I thought were extraordinarily strong, on the basis of the following points:

1. Does the world need the product they are bringing to market? How likely will it achieve significant adoption within the next 1-2 years?
2. Who are the team behind the project? Do they have experience in generating large-scale, successful projects in the blockchain industry?
3. How large is the community behind the project, not including airdrop, bounty and other pseudo-interested members?
4. What is their USP (unique selling proposition), are there any stronger competitors?
5. Does the team have a strategy to ensure favorable tokenomics for investors?

Use these 5 guidelines to find the strongest ICOs, ideally, they would have a strong answer to every question.

I don't think I can determine and decide that an ico is good or will be a scam ico, because ico who has a good rating can become a scam, preferably before participating in an ico, check carefully about the ico that you want to join.

I chose the project with sales of tokens that are already running. And choose the project with sales of tokens already reach soft cap. Indeed if it were looking for a project does not run from the beginning. Certainly the results that will earn very little. But this made me can avoid project scam, or failed because token does not reach the sales target.

The scam ICO cannot develop its sales anymore and still like that, there is no development of the project.
Then the development team also remained silent without words to provide the best solution for the future.

I read their whitepaper and analyze carefully their objectives if realistic. I preder the ICO which is already running and when I saw that it has a great potential in the market. Doing a background check of the campaign managers is another thing that I always consider.

No matter how good you think the ICO is during this Bear market my simple advice to you would be to stay away from investing in it. The odds are currently stacked well against them reaching their Hardcap and you making any profit at launch, in fact you are far more likely to end up with a large loss on your investment. If you really like the project then pick some up after the ICO on a DEX or other exchange you will get a bargain that way.

Most ICO projects are not available when they launch ICOs for investors, their documentation is only information about the direction of the project and the information of the key members. I think ICO investment is quite risky for what I just said, because the real demand from the community is not sure

Yes, I agree with you, to choose the good ICO, I always see and oversee the income of investors, if a project has reached the minimum Softcap, I will read more about the project concept in detail. so I am sure that this project has met the ICO criteria I chose.

Looking for a good ICO I will usually see a little about the ICO project. Projects that can be used by everyone in the future. For example, like Ironx, Karean IronX is an Exchange that can be used by everyone in the future. That is one good ICO in my opinion.

Well, based on my experience I think these are the things we need to know for us to be able to avoid scam ICO.

1. Who are the TEAM members? - It is very important to know if the team composes of real people. Some projects use fake identities as well as fake pictures. Are the qualifications of the team is in line with the project?
2. What is the PROJECT is all about? - Read and understand the Whitepaper, is it relevant to create such a project?
3. Who is the Bounty Manager - Somehow some projects are being handled by reliable BM but not all projects will be successful.
4. What do the reviews say? - Though reviews are not 100% reliable, somehow they've done their own research about the project.

Initially, I look at the project team and how they are represented on social networks and I also consult with people who earn money by investing in projects because they have real results.

Looking for what task.

1. If you are an investor.
It is best to look for a project of high rating, about which a lot of information. Check their documentation. Trying to find team members. Carefully consider what they offer and think whether it is real what they say. After that invest.

2. If you are a hunter.
Practice shows that the most common projects pay. There are few parties in all bounty companies. There is a chance to earn a lot of coins.

I just watch the site, the document and the ratings. On the manager who conducts the company.

Always learn to do long researching before investing. The Concept of the Project it is real user case is the biggest Factor. IF You find the concept is better then search for the Team , Located country and Token metrics. Specially the balance of total market cap with the potential of the Project.

It is very difficult to choose a good ICO. This requires the integration of knowledge. This is similar to angel investors. The risk is very high, but if you choose the right then you will become rich.

For the step that I often use to determine a good ICO is to do research. I search for projects by selling tokens that have achieved Soft Cap. And see team activities through social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, and telegram. Their good team must answer all questions by the participants and always be active in providing the latest information. And we can check this media with a telegram.

Research on each ICO is indeed needed, besides those mentioned, we can research the website and campaign participants can also see the bonus offered. In this way, we will be able to find irregularities and finally, we can decide whether we can join or not.

I am always reading the whitepapers, because everything is stated there. You can detect a scam project just by reading their whitepaper and checking the team members. It is not a sign that an ICO is going to be successful, but at least not a fraud.

As far as i know, to choose a good ICO is to read their project plan and platforms on whitepaper. You can also see their project on ico bench to see if their rating is good. And if the ICO meet their objective plan to reach soft cap, it is a successful ICO project.

some of which I have noticed when choosing good ico:
1. Make sure the project is good or not, don't choose a project that doesn't make sense
2. Make sure Iico has a good partner
3. study the white paper carefully
4. Don't forget information through the telegram group
