Title: MtGox hold my 2.47 hostages, any chance for 2BTC loan?
Post by: paltoco on February 11, 2014, 10:04:57 AM
Hello,
Quick and simple question, is there anybody who can lend me 2BTC. I'll repay 2BTC + interest when Mt. Gox enable BTC withdrawals. I know about all speculations around Gox, but i think they'll handle this. I'm just running out of time in my real life. I need these coins generally to pay my lawyer.

Of course im willing to provide my id and any requested "verification".

What if MtGox fail? Ill repay anyway, but we'll need to rebuild terms of course, and it will take 2 months.

Please dont be rude in my thread, im not yet decided, im just looking for options, if i run out of time. For now i still have hope that gox will fix the issue in 1-2 days.

Ahm, as far as I read you can transfer coins between mtgox accs. So you should have no problems to transfer your coins as collateral to another gox acc owener, sadly my funds are all frozen in my mtgox acc myself so I cannot help you.

Instead of a loan I will pay you 2BTC for your 2.47 BTC MtGox balance.  Unless it changed transfers between MtGox accounts are still working.

You transfer 2.47 BTC to my MtGox account, I send 2 BTC to a Bitcoin address you provide.

Honestly maybe it's a good proposition, but anyway to do this we need to wait few days more to let me get verified finally there - i just asked on IRC can I send GoxCoins to other account as an unverified and they said no.

I sent them proper documents week ago and honestly i thought i get verified before somebody act here...

Maybe anybody will take my Gox account access as a collateral?

I'm running out of possibilities, trying to do something to speed up my verification using IRC, but MTGOX CUSTOMER SUPPORT are f*CKING useless!!!

Don't do that. Somebody will just transfer your Gox BTC to their own account, then you're SOL.

I fail to see how that's bad. I fail to see why this is in lending, really should just be in a trade. 2.5 GOX BTC for 2 in-chain BTC.

I was referring to a situation where someone (usually a new user) will take possession of his Gox account, transfer the balance, then disappear.

As you do not need to be verified to transfer BTC from one mt.gox account to another (unless it changed recently), if OP declines this, he's a 100% scammer.

I just checked with bitcoinbuilder.com and i cannot withdraw anything also to other gox addresses. If any reputable lender can buy my gox coins and take my account as collateral for a "loan" before I get verified and will be able to move goxbtc's to other account it would be great. Anybody? Thanks in advance!

I don't get it. Everybody else seems to be doing Gox-to-Gox transfers just fine. How is your account any different?

I was so stupid that I can't believe that till now. I decided to use Gox to withdraw my ALL coins to EUR  so I SENT ALL I HAD TO NEWLY CREATED MT. GOX ACCOUNT, THEN I RED I NEED TO BE VERIFIED FOR ANY TYPE OF WITHDRAWAL. So I sent them proper documents and I'm waiting for their move, that's why I can't send any coins YET.

You have to be verified to do a withraw (including gox to gox transfer).  His account isn't verified yet.

If MtGox goes bankrupt, the 2.47btc as collateral is worth nothing.

That's why I'm looking for somebody who's ready for "taking this risk", but honestly, from my point of view they'll handle this. Statements, so much time on IRC with Mount Gox support team... They won't fall this time.

Sorry but there is no point to push your thread anymore. Your funds are tied up in an "unverified" mtgox acc. Noone can cash out those funds as long as you dont verify your account even if mtgox resumes withdrawles and you can always pull this "my acc was hacked" with mtgox, so you can get your collateral back pretty easy.

There are just too many scam possibilities for any potential lender. (not to forget the unlikly but still possible "mtgox goes bankrupt" thing)

Ive probably gave my id scans for misusage yesterday to user "navenis" which probably scammed me with loan proposition.

My intention isn't to steal,i know its only my word, but I won't loose my 2.47btc with Mt. Gox. I can show pics i sent to mt. Gox for verification, I'm sure everything will be fine. Loan can be sent to the address I used to fund my gox wallet - it can be checked. I need help and help will be appreciated. If anybody can meet me or have any friend in Warsaw (Poland) I can try provide some other, real collateral... There's nothing more I can do but I really need anybody to fulfill my loan request, I'm trying to reach mt. Gox with my ticket regarding my verification.

Do you have any Altcoin worth value for collateral?

Unfortunately not, and even if I could get some for sure they won't be worth 2btc. I can provide my mt. Gox account with option of reconfiguring 2-factor to lender phone number, but i want to do this only with reputable lender because I'm sure Mt. Gox will be fine, i just cant wait more.

My verification request was denied.

Yesterday morning I went to my local government office, i paid and get residency certificate which i scanned and provided in next verification request. Last one was rejected because of incorrect proof of address.

If anybody could help me I need this loan or half of it 1btc in next 24hours...

There is no need to worry about collateral from my side. Ive placed there 2000$, my business is to get verified, and I'll get verified finally, dont worry. Mt. Gox is delaying btc withdrawals, but i think they finally get out of it. For people who would take the risk interest should be worth stress of investor.

Instead of collateral (my mt.gox account) investor will recieve proofs of my identity, which force me at any case to repay the loan. If Mt. Gox will go bankrupt I'll repay this loan in 2-3 months with satisfiying interest.

Anybody can give me trust credit and accept this collateral. Anybody reputable of course. I shared my scans with one scammer here, dont want to loose scans again and mt. Gox account...

Sorry my offer was made when the MtGox situation was slightly less goxxed.  Looks like right now GoxCoin IOUs are going for about 0.35 real BTC.  I can do that if you still need the funds.  Also understand this isn't a loan.  You are simply selling me (and me means me not my company) 2.47 Gox BTC IOUs for x Real BTC sent to an address you provide.
