Title: Panhandling
Post by: Marlsfarp on July 18, 2010, 11:02:07 PM
::dances::

There once was a pitiful stash
Limited by a slow hash.
This isn't a joke,
Please help out this bloke -
Send some electronic cash?

::rattles tip jar::

Hahahaha clever.  I'd donate 1 bitcoin, but that would make my balance an uneven number >_>

Your begging is awfully confusing
To a man that's continually losing
The roof on his head
And the wife in his bed
Coz his electricty bill's overloading

Thank'ye kindly, ladies and gentlemen.

And Inedible, I understand, truly, for...

Generate? Uneconomical!
Hardness is now astronomical!
My laptop runs hot
But coins? I think not!
So I just thought I'd try comical.

No economy has ever flourished without annoying street performers. Think about it.

Laughter and humour contagious,
Nenelod's BitCoin balance outrageous.
If spam were a coin,
Viagra my loins
It helps not with calculation hardness.

these are some truly inspiring limericks!

If payment were made for inspiration
My efforts and all my perspiration
Would still be worth nought
Like a kick in the bot
A BitCoin for all my libation?

If your poetry makes you perspire
Your situation must be quite dire
You should get off your chair
And comb out your hair
Then put yourself up for hire

Sweat and employment aside,
For a while, this thread I have eyed,
For all the good meant,
I still quietly lament
for Limericks so pitiful I cried.

;)

(Also, I know I'm probably not following the "official" limerick metering, but ah well.)

It has been an entertaining run.
As for your meter, it matters none.
Pitiful or clever,
It's a worthwhile endeavor
After all, we're just having fun.

Fun or competition,
dumb or erudition,
the nature of rhyme
while we're passing the time
is a worthwhile admission.

There once was a coder named Satoshi
Whose BitCoining antics abhorred me
But now I've got three
BitCoins that I got free
I'll be down at the mall for a spree!

Violets are blue
Somewhere an english teacher is crying.

If you knew my English teacher you'd think that was a good thing...

:p

Some English teacher be crying,
and our limericks she is decrying,
and while they are sad,
(some even quite bad),
we will never, ever stop trying.

bc's running full tilt for nearly 3 weeks,
not a bitcoin in sight, but plenty of 'eeks'

my processor says 'please give me a rest'
i say 'just shut it you. and just do your best'

cpu says 'no please, can't take much more of this'
says me 'aye right, you're taking the piss!'

cpu 'ok, promise, i'll make you a mint!'
alas so far, like real life, i'm still fecking skint'

:)

Across the Net there's much ado
Over money made of CPU
The Bitcoin method is tried and true
And backed up by peer review

At first I doubted, I must confess
But I see now as things progress
A project like this deserves success
So publicize your Bitcoin address

I realize, of course, this poem is lame
I'm sure you all feel much the same
If your teachers cry, I'll take the blame
Now I'll go and hang my head in shame
