There's nothing strange with the price gravitating towards 666 because that number represents the hard rules of this reality that represents the solid matter and life. Wealth comes from possession and one could only possess material values.

All Living organisms Must contain Carbon to exist on Earth as Physical Life.

Carbon: The Bulding Blocks of Life.

Whats going on?

I have seen a 1768 BTC sell order on bitstamp and bring the spot down to $666.6666 (rounded up to $666.67)

Bitcoin is crypto-spawn of Satan!

Fuck your swastika's and pentagram. Here is your occult 666 symbol.

6 Sided Hexagram
6 Triangles
6 Pointed Star

And this symbol is right out of the occult ramblings of the culture/race who are 'calling out' the great beast and his number to begin with.

To be honest, swastika really doesn't belong on that picture. However, not sure why you got so butthurt, are you jew or something?

If you want more satanic symbols, then have some from Saturn:

and                BTC above $666 is a sell.

As above, so below.

I wasn't butt-hurt.

Perhaps I should have said 'forget the swastika's and pentagram'. I actually like the swastika. I used to see it a lot in my minds eye when I would get really fucked on mushrooms.....it is an archetypal power/life symbol that doesn't necessarily have fuck all to do with the Nazi's, apart from the fact they adopted it.

But considering that the whole 666 thing is essentially Jewish prophecy, centred around their culture, religion, and people, it strikes me as rather odd the symbol of Zionism just so happens to clearly conform to the 666 thing more than any other symbol in global religion or politics. Also considering the part of the world where this 666 symbol has come to takes it's 'kingdom' and the absolute shit these fanatical bastards are kicking up there.....

Anyone can pull theories out of their ass, and if one has some scientific achievements backing them up the more arrogant they get. Soon these broken theories get referenced in further scientific work and once everyone forgets that they were initially and still are just plain hypothesis people start to believe in them. Have you ever been inside Saturn? Has John Stuart Reid been there? I don't think so. It seems to assume that Saturn isn't hollow and thus the theory immediately gets rejected by me.

You want a better explanation of why there's hexagon on Saturn's poles? LOOK THIS VID:

Ok, you're a cool dude then.

Title: Re: Is it my imagination or does Bitcoin tend to gravitate towards $666
Post by: thelema93 on February 17, 2014, 02:05:15 PM
666 is a number made up of three 6's.

6 is the number of the Sun in the Hebrew Qabalah. Three 6's is basically a more powerful form of 6.
So 666 is the power of the Sun multiplied 3 times.

The Christians took that number and made it seem scary by putting it in the gospel of St John - a weird story about the Apocalypse.

The Christians have made up many strange myths to make ancient religions look bad or 'evil'. Another good example is Pan - the goat legged man with horns. He was a nature god that represented Nature and the whole universe - hence the word Pandemic or Pantheon - Pan meaning All. The Christians decided to call that image the Devil and say that he represented Evil. They also say that women are evil because they give birth, and that it is evil to have sex etc.

It hasn't helped that there are many silly movies where the number 666 is used to represent evil either. Basically the number has been imprinted on the minds of the masses as meaning evil, whereas it really is just a number of the Sun.

It's basically the Hebrew Qabalah which has hundreds of ancient authors & documents VS one story in the christian bible by 'St John' which has no verifiable accuracy and even if it did - who cares?

My blockchain based estimate of fundamental value was 640 for January.  Maybe today the fundamental value is 666.  It does tend to double roughly every 100 days.  It won't be for long.  In general, I expect price to be loosely attracted to the fundamental value.  During periods of extraordinary sentiment movement, it will be driven away from that.

Could it be, that "The Powers That Be" (TPTB) aka the Fed/US Gov/etc. are sending us Bitcoiners a message?

Could that message possibly be: "You think we can't control this monetary system, TOO??"

(I hope not, but I seriously wouldn't rule it out).

If they banned trading on $666 (which the couldn't), it could obviously not be $666 on Stamp, but it could be on the other exchanges.   Stamp is the only one that seems to sit at $666

Bitcoin certainly has a strange fascination with the number 666, regardless if its a rally or a drop in price. I check my paranoid app every now and then and i can't count the times i've seen the price stuck at $666.

this mainly happens on stamp, but fewer times on BTCE. Not sure how would someone manipulate the market to get that figure ? unless some whale has a bot that accurately does it mathematically taking advantage of low volume and is having some fun.

either way interesting stuff  ;D

Yeah I'm gonna go with just your imagination as I've seen no sign that bitcoin gravitates to any specific price.  I'd say the 600 dollar range has been common these days but not some type divine intervention of sorts.

Well, the Catholic Church once sold some kind of 'heaven receipts' or whatever they are called. And when you sinned you could pay your way out of hell or something like that. So that's the original hell coin sort of.

I think the hellcoin just died unlike some clonecoins and that explains why it didn't get listed
No exchange failed launch and not sure if it even has a client released.
That said it definitely is a saturated market just made by those looking to make a quick buck.

Once it finally passed $666 it will most likely never fall below it again.

at least that's good to know.

I think within a month we can say goodbye to 3 digits forever anyway.

$6666 may be the new $666, although it may be a little soon for that highs (it will probably stop at $5800 or so)

A beautiful thread that will be one of those relics in a couple years, when 3 digits seem cheap :)

I'm disappointed that it didn't reach 666 yet though! Cmon devil!

lol

that's a rather concise summary!

But in the back of my mind I never doubted old 666 would one day return.

WOW. Unbelievably my last post on this thread was JUNE 12, 2014, exactly 2 years ago and now 666 is back.  I am now freaking out.

I was pretty happy already at 420$ but 666$ is definitely better! Lets hope that patience will be rewarded after these two long years.  :D

Hahaha, well, bitcoin holders are always rewarded in the end for their patience in my opinion. And this time it's no different. Don't get too greedy with it though, cash it out when it still is high.

Hopefully the devil doesn't ruin the party....

we will have to wait a lot of time till this possibly happens in the future as the price grows slowly

thats true people usually think its funny to see such price so they try to balance it on the 666 mark

The people that are watching the price all day do get a kick out of making it hang around those numbers, but I don't think it actually gravitates towards it for any other market reason.  When we were sub-500 we ended up hanging around 420 for quite a bit.  Its just because the people that are watching the price enough to notice its close are the same ones that would get a chuckle out of placing an order to make it stay at that.

I haven't noticed but last time I checked, it was $678.  Anyway, what's with the $666 value.  It's just a number and not an omen.   $666 is a lot better than $420.  That's the value when I started
