Could it be, that "The Powers That Be" (TPTB) aka the Fed/US Gov/etc. are sending us Bitcoiners a message?

Could that message possibly be: "You think we can't control this monetary system, TOO??"

(I hope not, but I seriously wouldn't rule it out).

In China the number is considered to be lucky and is often displayed in shop windows and neon signs, so it could be someone wants the Chinese to feel that BTC is a lucky coin.

I have always thought this...and it is funny that other people have noticed it too.   It really does seem to gravitate towards $666.  No matter if bitcoin is rallying, or dropping...it always seems to come back home to $666.  lol

I wonder what would happen if bitstamp for example banned trading on price 666? Would the price still be 666?

If they banned trading on $666 (which the couldn't), it could obviously not be $666 on Stamp, but it could be on the other exchanges.   Stamp is the only one that seems to sit at $666
