Bitcoin prices are constantly decreasing.Its price has increased slightly a few days ago, but now it has decreased again.So, the bitcoin will be completely destroyed? If the predictions of different researchers will be wrong then..
What is the reason for lowering the price of Bitcoin?

The Bitcoin prices are not going down due to a single event. It is to be understood that there is a series of events which is eventually taking Bitcoin down.

We can see the trend that began with Bitcoin was followed by other altcoins (every cryptocurrency other than bitcoin is an altcoin). On many of the exchanges, bitcoin was the only payment mode through which people can buy certain altcoins. Some of the altcoins that surged in the last one month are Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, IOTA, TRON, Ripple etc. Many of them were bought by paying Bitcoin.

All the Bitcoin exchanges of India were raided by Income Tax Department in India, seeing a steep increase in the number of investors in Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies. As the reports were there that Bitcoin might be heavily taxed in India (20–30%) and as the Bitcoin is yet to get a legal status in India, people started drawing back their money.

There are more sellers at $7,000 but who will buy 1 Bitcoin for $7,000 ??

Some 4,000,000 Bitcoins could be sold which were purchased before 2011 or 2012.

I do not think bitcoin will crumble, the ups and downs of bitcoin prices are common, but I believe the bitcoin will be better and the price will bounce high again.

The heck mate, you are thinking that bitcoin will be blown off just because of the price decrease? if you are totally new to the market this ain't gonna happen and this is not the proper way of understanding market corrections.

There's a big tendency that those predictions are wrong and its up to you if you'll believe them or not but if you are putting your hope in it, don't be disappointed when they don't.

Whether there's a reason or none of the lowering price of bitcoin, it is just simple because of making it healthier. Everything that goes up, must be down and vice versa.

That is true, for passed four months now, the market has been serious depreciate in price and still keep fluctuating down to a lower limit of bitcoin, which affects other alt-coin in the market price, as the king of Crypto currency is down, i still believe soon market we get more stronger than before.

I guess you are define what a newbie is, almost nervous and panic when the price of bitcoin is going down. I advise you to really not be emotional because we have been in this roller coaster ride in this year so don't panic. There are a lot of reasons, but I'm sure that bitcoin will not simply die, this is just another bump that we need to overcome. It is very difficult to predict that bitcoin is destroyed because the proof of bitcoin is still the benchmark of some other coin, so it is very difficult if the bitcoin will actually be destroyed and if that happens what about the other coin that is branched with bitcoin.

I think The price of bitcoin is still falling due to Internal issues within the bitcoin developing community which has previously resulted in hardforks, which is due to lack of governance and also Increasing hacks on bitcoin exchanges which can lead to fear in the community.

just because you sold a while back at the bottom out of panic it doesn't mean bitcoin is going towards the dark. it means you had your head in the sand so you were seeing dark.

Bitcoin price might crash but bitcoin network can't for sure as nobody can switch off the bitcoin network.

This question is repetitive.Seems like you are losing hope.Once again bitcoin is not in good state as of now because of its downtrend but it doesnt mean that it will always at the dip.There are certain reason why it is happening and you know what, one of the main reason why its in dip state its because of people here doing panic selling.They taught that bitcoin will never rise back thats why they do panic selling and it affects the whole market.So if that mindset is not corrected then this downtrend will last more longer.

The constant decrease won't destroy Bitcoin. Prices were lower before and nothing was destroyed except for Bitcoins that were sent to different burning addresses. Too many things have contributed to the downfall of bitcoin prices. You said it will be completely destroyed and i say otherwise. For sure this is still temporary and the price will start to pump by sept. this year.  Once the breaking price is reach it would not be hard.

Actually we cannot  blame most of us especially to those people that we can considered as a small investors because the mostly people that affected to the long trend of downfall is them because they only have small investment to risk. However, the big investors are happily enjoying this bullish season because they considered it as an opportunity to earn much more bigger profit in the future. First and foremost, bitcoin is not going towards the dark. The lowering of the price of bitcoin has as a result of faint-hearted investors selling their bitcoin. This has increased the supply rate of bitcoin with its demand rate lower.

It is not uncommon for bitcoin to drop in value this much.  You can check chart of 2014 where it went from $1200 to $200.  There are many.  You may can see bitcoin to further drop to $5000 ranges, there is a possibility, but in the long run, it will bounce back.  Don't make your expectation that bitcoin will only go up, it can go fearfully down too.  If you are so uncertain and making you very anxious and cannot afford to loose any penny of your investment.  You can convert into fiat or USDT and buy again into around $5000 level if it further went down or just wait for positive signs to show up on market to get into.  Right now, market is bearish.  Hodling in this market condition will surely make you more anxious but it can be greatly rewarded in future.

1) A lot of people have invested at $19000 or above and thus they are waiting to recover. They are not going to buy more as there money is already stuck.

Bitcoin got seriously fucked when SegWit caused prices to go sky high.  Everyone quit most of the use cases.  Only thing remains is the hype use case.  At least Bitcoin Cash still functions normally and works great with 32M blocks.  Super low fees and tons of functionality getting better each day.

The prices decreased lately i agree with you but right now it is on the move again and this time around i am sure it is going to make it above 9k. The problem is that people only look at the price history of Bitcoin for the of period April 2017 to December 2017 and that's the reason why they panic. They only look at that period while don't look at it's history from the beginning. Last year in August, we had Bitcoin Cash hardfork which brought a significant pump in BTC. This time we have possible BTC ETF launch. I think the reason why bitcoin go down is that bitcoin has reached the full potential and all people investing in bitcoin now all they do is just holding and see the bitcoin world fuck up.

Among the negative news like Bitcoin ETF got rejected by SEC just a day back, bitcoin showed again positive trend again on today also. Bitcoin may give bears some rest as of now which may persist until it will reaches $10k or even $12.8k levels.

it seems that the appearance of a new coin has a great impact on bitcoin prices, as some countries try to make the new virtual currency much out of bitcoin like china trying to make a new currency so that big investors move from bitcoin, South Korea is writing the middle to run the trade virtual money in the last week. This keeps the bitcoin price and the number of other virtual currencies plummeting dramatically.

I think bitcoin is still strong it's just the market is not good enough to rise the price. We can still see many transaction that created everyday as this is a good indication that money is still flowing in this technology. You say bitcoin will be nearing destruction, I think it's too fast to draw conclusions. Bitcoin does have an unstable price due to market demand and supply, and if selling too much can make the price of bitcoin lower, but I think the market will return to health and will make the price of bitcoin high again.

On the contrary, I'm seeing the price in recent months to be stable around the $6k-$6.5k which means at least we have all weathered the storm and that the price is no longer reaching bottom. This is a good sign to us as compare to altcoins who have suffered since the beginning of the year and bitcoin won't bleed anymore.

Bitcoin has been above $6k for the past 5 months or so (except short periods of dropping to $5.8k but it didn't stay there for too long) and considering this how could anyone think bitcoin is not doing well ? I think we are doing insanely well and building a great base to bounce from. The fact that bitcoin reached $20k while it started out at $3-$4k prices gives me hope for our future considering we are based on $6k+ right now which means we can reach even further if any bull comes.

Bitcoin and the whole market have a hard time now and probably will for a little more.  Everybody was expecting a similar situation for long term based on history.

We may see little lower prices, but in the end it will rise again as it gain interest like it did in the past.

We are just repeating what happen on 2011 and 2015. It might have some more down to go but the price probably will rise again and make new highs but only in 1 or 2 years.

So i don't think bitcoin will fade that easily into the dark and if you can see, bitcoin's adaption by numerous entities are obviously increasing each year.

I agree with your views and op conclusions is not showing the position of things.  Remember that we have many of this kind of post in this forum. I think there is always allowance for correction when a price of an assets make a bull run and I believe that is what is happening right now.  If you are in this market last two years, you will agree with me that no one believe that bitcoin will get to $5000 in 5 years time and now some of us are saying $6400 is a sign that bitcoin is heading to the dark. Thank you both for these views.  This year has been a bearish year since January till now of both global stock exchange market and commodities market.  Oil has been down too.  I think we should not expect bitcoin are altcoins to behave differently.

Yeah we feel it too even if there are many speculations about bull run to happen but it seems like it is the opposite. The market price for most of the crypto were falling down. It may seem doesn't right but still hopeful that in a little amount of time bitcoin will going to recover and will have a bull run on its market price for 2018.

The first one is trend. That is what makes the prices lowering these days. The second one is caused by the pattern of up-down in bitcoin since the ups and downs are common in bitcoin. but it doesn't mean the value of bitcoin leading to its end. there's time when to trade, sell or buy bitcoin. Just follow the habit, even though no one knows exactly when the up and down will take their turn, keep patient on it.

We were at the bottom of 6000 USD so many times this year. I've checked the charts and we've never defended a bottom so many times in history. At least I couldn't find another similar event. Maybe this really is the bottom? Bitcoin is so easy to manipulate that I wouldn't be scared if we went to 5000 USD. I think that almost all traders that still have fiat to spend are looking to buy at that level.

I don't think future of Bitcoin is black, specially with Lightning network that has to come sooner or later.

Every business have their own story to tell. It doesn't matter if the prices will decrease or increase because this is the nature of business. No business in the world that haven't encountered this kind of problem especially those who have trading and investing category. This is really very common to all.

I would not actually be so fast in calling a bottom at this moment in time. Sure, we have seen some reaction in the $6k region, but one thing for sure now is that we just have to wait and see how the whole triangle thing is going to play out first. I won't be surprised if we get to see a final shakeout in the market, before we get to see an uptrend suffice, but all the same, there is nothing like bitcoin going towards the dark here, and in the long term we are still experiencing a huge light and one thing for sure is that what some are calling a bottom now is what was an ATH just last year. Imagine how things would be in the long run.

What the entire cryptocurrency users around the globe experience is a big drop in the market value of the portfolio. Very few made use of the price increase in the right manner. In the past the price predictions have taken place to some extent same as that put forth by experts. This year the scenario is different and no one is capable of predicting the true outcome. With patience each and every user is trying to keep hold avoiding unnecessary expenses.

I don't think as you think, bitcoin still has a long life and won't be destroyed so fast. Try to calm down and don't fill your mind with panic, try to think positively then you can see bitcoin still has the potential to rise high.

Yes the last year and the year before than and 2015 were the tear when things went smooth according to the prediction of experts but this year it failed massively and prediction went terribly wrong but it made us stronger as now we do it own research instead of believing all.

I really don't know if these people have fully understand and think of what they do for the community. It obviously they are just ruining the image of crypto instead of helping it to bring back people's trust and confidence. Anyways, it is just simple FUD and it won't affect to us cause we knew already how market behaves since from the start as we recall on its historic growth trend.

Should i believe in this or not but i am really a bit worried with my portfolio. I am still optimistic that bitcoin is going to rise again but i am worried it won't make it until the time i planned to sell my cryptos. If that won't happen during that time, then i am going to hodl it for another set of time.

Investors really do have a lot of part to play in the general growth of the market. The only issue I have though is that newbie investors are just not getting the gist and they are making themselves to miss out on the fact that they need to understand this market pretty well and that is the only way they can at least get the best from it in the long run. Bitcoin is just in a downtrend and that gives an opportunity to buy lower, but since a lot of people are in the aspect of trying to get rich fast, they tend to not get focused on the future and that is where they will always get it all wrong.

Yes, OP is just mentioning about continuously decreasing prices as dark but now a days we are experiencing somewhat stable prices. I do believe the final shakeout had already done and now we are in consolidating phase which is just the beginning point of upward trend.

Bitcoin isn't going to just disappear because it goes down in price, it has been the most stable it has been this year but we are coming to the end of the year and hoping for a similar situation to what we had last year.

Friend, I think you don't have to say bitcoin is going dark just because of the decline in the market. And it would be better if you look at bitcoin in terms of technology, and if you look at market prices then you only think negatively, because basically bitcoin is indeed unstable and very capable of falling low. Well, even though the market is falling low but there will always be hope to be able to rise again, and you will realize it if you have patience, confidence and also understanding of crypto, be optimistic because it can be for your good.

We need more people like this a positive thinker, no doubt on cryptocurrency and the bitcoin as well. I do believe that bitcoin has made more years of existence. Let's wait the moment that we expected bitcoin will raise like what happen last year, and I am ready of that my portfolio is 75% bitcoin stored and the rest token and altcoins. Be patience, as what I have to feel bull run is coming.

It's a fact that bitcoin is going to fall down sometimes because of its volatile nature but i don't believe that it's going anywhere else and will just die. It already written in bitcoin's history that it always rise back whenever it falls.

Yes I also think so, they only reason for the rumors is to make the investors confused so that they may not purchase or hold their bitcoin, they want a panic like situation in the market, so that the price of bitcoin fell down and they may get chances of purchasing the price in low level.

Why do you get panic about the price just relax and wait. We all know about bitcoin either it is increase or not just buy bitcoin at low price and hold it for long term. Always at the year end only bitcoin will boom. Last year also the same thing happened, still we have two more months for end of this year. Who knows may be next month itself it will boom. Hold the bitcoin with patience and wait then only you can see the good profit.

The only strange thing with the 6000 bottom is it's been defended but other than 2 times (that I remember) it wasn't tested too heavily, there's mostly just been low volume sells which will easily be fended off. I believe 6k is the bottom and will hold, the fact it's so close to the cost of mining 1 bitcoin is also always a good indicator. As for people having spare fiat to buy at under 6k I don't think there's too many people in that boat, most who think 6k is a bottom will have bought at 6k because long-term it's a sound investment and 5k might not come. 6k is also much safer than 5k, if we go below the 6k bottom who knows when we might stop.

Yes we need to focus on the reason why we are into crypto and why why we adopted bitcoin, it's for longterm gain and there are many dirty tactics which are used to reduce the value of bitcoin on multiple exchanges like bot trading and it's not only limited to bitcoin there are many exchanges using bots to alter the value of any crypto. We need to be cautious and should not make any move in haste.

Bitcoin is declining and you think bitcoin will be destroyed, take a break and don't always look at market prices. Bitcoin is a crypto that is strong and will not be destroyed as you think, and if you always think negatively you will lose your hope.

from the graph we can see the development of bitcoin from 2017 until now 2018, if we see clearly the price of bitcoin has indeed been decreasing recently from rising at 28.68% and now it is at 24.5% the decline is not too significant if we compare from 2017, we can assume this is normal because the price of bitcoin is fluctuating, so this is not the reason bitcoin will be destroyed This is only a matter of time if we consider this a false threat that means we have no confidence.

I don't care about what others think about bitcoin's progress these days. It's just normal to see bitcoin on that situation because since it was launched, there are so many times too that its market cap and price fall down so hard.

You might not care about other people's opinions, but bitcoin really needs trust and encouragement from its investors. some say this is normal and some say this is a very bad thing.

Its pretty obvious people are getting worried of the huge and long crash of crypto, but it is not enough to say that we e're gonna be vanishing. Bitcoin shows a steady price, yet we say that it is stack but for me it is an indication that Bitcoin is getting stronger and stronger.

I see this price decline is a natural thing, at a time when cheap prices are very profitable for investors because they can buy bitcoin at a cheap price. everything is fine, we just need to be a little patient and the price of bitcoin will rise again.

Speculating the market every time is a good thing to consider because we see that speculations can be anything said by others though it helps us but we also know that speculators can be wrong as well. However, we should not take speculations of others well and correct but should think on it that the spoken facts are correct or wrong. Now, we are talking about Bitcoin’s bottom or going in the dark but we should not forget the precious-years-downfalls and lowest prices, if you compare all those with the current price you will say that those were dark and current one is still better.

People have always gotten worried in the past, and there is no doubt that in the long run people will stop getting worried as we are even seeing it now.

This is because they made wrong decisions as a result of greed and instead of getting their heads wrap around the fact that this is a market and they are have simply made some horrible mistake and getting to learn how they can do better in the long run, all they just do basically at the end, is assuming the worst for bitcoin and then bailing out before they even started only to come back in years’ time mopping how they have basically missed the show and had the chance to get in earlier.

I have never seen bitcoin doing this well in my entire cryptocurrency days (I have been around for over 6 years now). The point is not that it has been an amazing 2018 but the point is whenever bitcoin gets lower there is always a a pump in the works. Which means since it has dropped amazingly than there will be a time when it will go up as well. Since it has dropped so far it means the turn is on the going up part right now.

I have always loved undervalued stuff, it could be undervalued stock or real estate or any other investment method out there and I always went in for it. I think bitcoin is insanely undervalued right now and it will recover and get high a lot. For that to happen we need another hype and that is coming around with these new ETF talks as well. As soon as one ETF gets accepted all people will try to buy bitcoin, from smaller investor to big banks everyone will try to get one.

In understanding the phases anything takes you can see where the value lies and what the future likely holds. Given the boom-bust cycle it seems bitcoin is well towards the end of the bust stage now and the next up will be the boom as you said. ETF's won't lead people to try buy bitcoin, perhaps though invest in the ETF and that will be backed by real bitcoin's most probably.

You are right, ETF is nothing. It won't really help the people lead and try to buy bitcoin or something convincing to them to buy. Before there is no ETF implementation but still there is Bitcoin existing until now. Well, try to have faith on this and hold your Bitcoin as long as you can, you will never know Bitcoin will raising up someday, believe me.

Bitcoin may look bad when it drastically falls down but i don't think it will stay there forever because even how bad bitcoin may looks like, it will always have a time for it to rise back. All you need is just patience and wait for it.

It seems that after so much time people still do not learn one of the most basic things about how bitcoin price behaves, the price of bitcoin may crash very fast and it will stay at a very low level for a long time but it eventually recovers, and it recovers because the technology of bitcoin is without a doubt the best that we have at the moment and that low price does not reflect its true value.

The crypto market is unstable and will continue to change in value, such as changes in the day when it enters the night and as time goes by it will come morning, be patient even though bitcoin falls but bitcoin will increase again.

Bitcoin needs a lot of new investors. And this is just not going to happen in this present situation.  Personally I think Bitcoin is finished.  But it's only an opinion.  It hasn't been widely adopted and there is evidence of market manipulation. 

I have an opinion that all of those positive predictions we heard in the beginning of the year were made to move us to buy crypto. Everyone who knew about coming bearish market sold their founds at 20000 $ price. Only one thing stays to us - to wait for more crypto users and investors which will move the price to the top, but this waiting can take few years and we should to be ready to wait so long.

We all expect that to happen anytime, and I am always looking forward to that in the future. However it needs more months to see price changes in a faster increasing trends, because some groups of competitors of crypto still sprout more FUD which hampered the Bitcoin's price development. If those dark ideas of bitcoin, I think thus people who quit is subjected for that scenario of going towards the dark.

Honestly bitcoin will still here and this will continue as long as we have supply and demand in the market. Price fluctuations is normal for bitcoin and to think that it reached at $20k last year and fall to $6k with less than a year. This shows that the price of bitcoin can give us much profits if we can manage it properly as those price can change in a short period of time.

I really do not think that we need to use conspiracy theories about what happened at the end of 2017, people were making all kind of incredible predictions about the price that bitcoin could reach because they wanted to make even more money than what they were making, people are very greedy especially in these kind of markets so to me that is a more likely way to explain what we saw at that time.

Bitcoins like any other assets goes down and up and its been going down doesn't means it is going dark. Though the price is not what traders are happy to see at yet each and everyday we have more people coming to it and major projects being built around it.

To me bitcoin is moving towards the light and not darkness.  We are at the time when bitcoin is making corrections.  I just believe that bitcoin is going to move towards $10,000 and very soon we would be able to see another moon again.  I am always thinking positive in bitcoin and blockchain technology and I believe that the future is more brighter than the banking system and other financial institutions.

This is something that many miss, while bitcoin is a technology that is extraordinaire and that it is probably going to change the world, at the same time it still needs to follow the very same principles as any other asset in the world, that means it is impossible for bitcoin to always go up in value there are going to be bad moments and we're experiencing one of them.

We all need to experience dark to appreciate more this once it jump back, its been a rough year for bitcoin even in other old crypto since the market bear season been too long to recover.

I do not think bitcoin is going towards the dark. The ups and down is common mater in the crypto market. Though now bitcoin price is very low, but i believe its price will increase very soon.

I hope that it is only temporary and that bitcoin is not always headed for darkness, I am very sure Bitcoin can be bright again when many platforms use bitcoin.

I think there will be an almighty crash over the Christmas period when people are busy doing other things.  Folk should watch the price.  But it's too late to sell now if you paid a high price.  I wouldn't buy now.  Too risky.  I read somebody is going to crash the price of Bitcoin and buy the Bitcoin cash up.  don't know whether or not that will happen.  But it's quite scarey even so.
