Did you check whether you have typed the address correctly? Also, which version are you using? The newest is 3-2.2, if you using an older version, get the newest one here: https://electrum.org/#download (https://electrum.org/#download) Title: Re: electrum invalid error Post by: HCP on July 15, 2018, 02:01:50 AM when i am send btc so some one i get error What is the complete error message? It should give you details on the invalid line, like this:invalid line found Quote Invalid Lines found: Line #1: sdfsadfsdfsafdsadfsadfasdf As bob123 has indicated, generally, this will be because the address you are trying to send to is incorrect. Those coins aren't "real", they are meant for testing and you can get tons of them for free.
You are trying to send them to a Bitcoin "mainnet" address, which is the network where the coins are worth real money and can be used to purchase goods. It's like trying to use monopoly money to pay your bills. Main net addresses start with 1, 3 or bc1 (like the one you are trying to send: 1GEWcS...) Test net addresses start with n, m, t or 2 (e.g: mipcBb...) Title: Re: electrum invalid error Post by: dolphin0000 on July 16, 2018, 02:58:54 AM i was send real money on that not fake one
Title: Re: electrum invalid error Post by: TryNinja on July 16, 2018, 03:02:26 AM i was send real money on that not fake one Then, why is "Electrum Testnet 3.2.2" written at the top of the wallet, as shown in your screenshot? If you go to the "Receive" tab, which address is shown there? Go to the "Receive" tab and paste your address here. Or at least write the first 3 characters.2. Go to the "History" tab, find your transaction, right-click, select "View on block explorer" and paste the link here. 3. From where did you supposedly sent your BTC? If it was from a website, paste it here. Please do all the things above. This is a testnet wallet.
1. Those are not real Bitcoins. They are "testnet" Bitcoins meant for testing and they are not worth anything. 2. Main-net Bitcoin addresses can't start with n or m, which both of your addresses do. If you were expecting main-net Bitcoins from someone, you probably got scammed. If you got them from a test-net faucet, you probably thought they were real Bitcoins, while they are not. I suggest you to study more and search the difference between testnet and mainnet. From where did you receive those coins? You are probably opening the "Electrum Testnet" software. You need to use just "Electrum". Title: Re: electrum invalid error Post by: tarball on July 16, 2018, 05:54:36 AM Exactly what I said. This is a testnet wallet. 1. Those are not real Bitcoins. They are "testnet" Bitcoins meant for testing and they are not worth anything. Unless people start mining them as a real coin. ??? Title: Re: electrum invalid error Post by: bob123 on July 16, 2018, 06:14:41 AM Exactly what I said. This is a testnet wallet. 1. Those are not real Bitcoins. There are a few people who mine testnet (especially when they are testing, so they have coins to test with and mined blocks which are mostly needed for testing). But this doesn't give those coins a value. Like the name says, it is a testnet, with the pure intention to test stuff on it. @OP Where did you get these coins from? Did you receive them via a free faucet? Or did you buy / exchange them? Title: Re: electrum invalid error Post by: BitMaxz on July 16, 2018, 04:42:41 PM Where is your bitcoins from? Is it from exchange site you must add more info about if where you get the bitcoin because if you request on withdrawal or send your bitcoin from exchange site or faucet to testnet it shouldn't work and it should shows invalid bitcoin address so if you bought your bitcoin to someone like TryNinja said maybe you've scam.

Unless people start mining them as a real coin. ??? they are "real coins" and people are "mining them". they just don't have any value. and if TestNet coins gain any sort of value the whole TestNet will be reset. it actually has happened before in early days, people started trading TestNet coins so it was abondoned and a new TestNet was started instead of it. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Testnet |
