At the time of announcement, you can mine solo until pools become available. Download the CPUMiner binary or source from github with a wallet https://github.com/renesisgroup/cpuminer-release. Place the renesis.conf in your wallet data directory and (re) start wallet. Run start.bat file inside CPUMiner bin folder to mine Renesis. You can edit the start.bat file to edit the number of threads for mining. If you wish to mine on a pool then use the poolmine.bat file.

Note: Please be advised that the cpuminer.exe can show up as a virus on Windows just like almost all mining software. You can be assured it is not and is labelled as coin miner, CpuMiner (PUA) or malware. The purpose of this coin is to have a coin that will be resistant and ready to combat ASIC machines. You guys defeat the purpose of what you're fighting for.

Most of it is allocated and held for development fund for roadmap phases and we have planned to have real world cases. The premine is justifiable in terms of LTME and keeping our ASIC resistant promise. A project like Renesis needs motivation. Motivation not only for the Renesis Core but also for the community developers.

Hi mate. It depends on the pool if they give you the block reward. But in this case, the total reward per block is distributed to miners. There is no separate block finding reward but a total reward. =)

It started off as a CPUMining only because GPUminer was not built. The GPU miner software came after 24 hours or so. Now it is best mined with a GPU. So far only NVIDIA gpu mining exists but work is being done on sgminer to make it minable with AMD cards too.

Yes we have made the allocation of Premine public and currently the block reward is doubled to 800 for miners to grab as much as possible. Starting yesterday, we are letting go of premine on Discord publicly too =) It's true that everyone has the right to mine or move away to next project but we hope that everyone join us and also be part of our project =) . If you read the whitepaper, we have clearly mentioned what will premine be used for and the amount is made public. To pay the developers, to keep the community active and for exchange listings in future , we will sell off the premine at the lowest rate. Also we have community marketing and developer active who will be rewarded by premine. All in all, if you look at the long term goals, it is not much left in 2 years to come. We look forward to having you. We believe it is fair to give away to  miners and community who have been with us since the launch.

I got one 1050ti it makes about 6MH/s and my CPU G4400 @ 1 thread makes about 60kh/s. So CPu mining make so sence with my CPu.

I have made an optimized private miner for the renesis algo. (0.05BTC +2% fee, pm for details)

sp-mod #1 preresults.

The offical miner from a1 does 24.55MHASH on the 1080ti with 100% tdp, and the sp-mod does more than 30 with the same settings and power usage.

gtx:1080ti +22.5% (24.55 --> 30.07)
gtx:1070ti +23.2% (16.95--> 20.88)

I've been testing enemy's Renesis miner, getting close to 30mh/s on my 1080tis at 80% power. It only has a 1% fee and will be released within a day or two according to the discord. I'd wait for that before buying a miner

i have begun mining from the first days of this coins release. i am glad to see the fact that there is already a gpu miner software also for it. i will mine a little longer with some gpu's to get a decent amount of coins up until the difficulty will get at crazy levels.

If I may make a suggestion. You can relase it free and have a dev fee . It will help the community and you at the same time mate . Besides , Enemy is releasing his tuned miner with lower dev fee. = )

this algo is getting more and more attention from the miners. maybe i should put a rig to work into this also. i need to understand the asic resistant idea  ::)

It's not that this algo has anything special to make it ASIC resistant, it's more like the devs have declared they won't accept ASIC and they have algo forks prepared ahead of time, so as to release the forks the "next day" an ASIC appear. It's more like taking away the initiative to make an ASIC.

Thanks for documenting that the "free" 1% miner is slower on the 1080 than the sp-mod #1 running on the  junior 1070ti @ 80% tdp. Asus 1070ti reference cooler +200 core clock +700 memclock.

making a project with a strategic view gives one the bigger picture over time. if a coin is very profitable building an asic is going to be also profitable. and if the coins begins to develop a infrastructure, forking becomes impossible after a while because not everyone being able to upgrade after the fork.

You missed the point mate . The algorithm is meant to be reusable and ASIC resistance is a broad term when you talk about a project . The improvements in algorithm will make other projects adapt it too and that will be a renesis achievement =)

But for Renesys coin itself this is meanless. For such mining/distribution model to make anti-ASIC setting up short POW phase is enough.

Fedora 27 x64 - unless you compile a binary for that OS also. I have already posted and been ignored regarding this miner, because it seems simpler to just compile in earlier versions of Ubuntu and gcc/boost libraries.

Fedora 27 x64 and Fedora 28 x64 are used quite extensively also, and unless source code is available, we (meaning our company and theFARM) cannot use your miner, and any one else in a similar situation to ours.

I would be happy to help out here, but a response would be nice to see, so that a communication channel could be opened toward this.

Are reading what you are writing? ...

A PoW coin is useless to become pure PoS if it is a short PoW phase. PoW/PoS hybrid is also useless to have a short PoW phase unless the goal IS to become pure PoS.

That is the purpose of changing Algo and becoming as ASIC resistant as possible, so you can STAY in the PoW phase for a massively long time because, you know, there are only millions of miners out there that WANT to mine, and not 'just' stake.

So the only thing meaningless here is the case of pure PoS, unless that IS what the coin is going to be designed for.

Mining is not a self-aim. It is just the most reliable way to secure network. Renesis PoW phase will end in about 2 years. Why?  :)  let anti-ASIC battle lasts forever. If you make PoW/PoS hybrid, just set usual algo with custom parameters and PoW phase duration comparable with ASIC production time - and it is enough to make coin ASIC-resistant. I do not deny "algo change" approach but for Renesis itself this is meanless.

Thanks for your comment and the question. Yes, we want to have Renesis as a crypto currency that is applicable to the most common human necessities like groceries, etc. That is just the start. We as people might buy a phone, a laptop, a watch, a pair of jeans once in a while but we will always buy items that we need to consume daily. There is a problem with few countries where the crypto is considered fake and like air but that is due to no control, lack of understanding or regulatory problems . The most important thing would be understanding that crypto is real and it is here to stay for good and not just a means to earn penny profits. Crypto can't be stopped.

All sounds good but the main question goes unanswered here.  Why should the store want to use Renesis instead of a fiat currency to accept payment?  What benefit does Renesis have compared to the fiat?  Renesis has slow block times and doesn't have anything in advantage over other currencies so far which are much ahead, it only has a commitment to asic proof algorithm changes so far.  Will it be able to execute smart contracts?  Will it be able to execute instant transactions?  Privacy?  Future proofing?  How will store benefit from this over fiat?

The current mining meta involves lots of algo swapping; the 0.05 btc fee is therefore off-putting. You could consider to remove 0.05 btc initial fee and increase the 2% fee so that at least your miners are getting more exposure.

Currently I only see that big farm would consider to pay 0.05 btc.

Hopefully when the exchanges realise how hard it is for startups in this bear market and lower their fees to more fair prices... probably this should start happening as soon as the scam and ponzi ICOs stop.

Definitely you need to refrain from listing on hotbit. the best will be gradual advancement, first cryptobridge, further cryptopia or similar, and then listing on stock exchanges with huge volumes. there is an example of improper distribution of funds, - Stipend coin, after listing on cryptobridge, they collected 10btc for listing on a large exchange, the top 50 in volume. without consulting with the community, they placed a coin on the idax exchange, that was a big mistake, nobody on that exchange did`t buy coin, the holders themselves tried to make the volume of trades, but nothing happened and since then, promising coin with a good team is rolling to the bottom.

1. Masternodes

Everything is right on track for the end of september about the masternodes implementation. I'll have some personnal talk with Havoc and the community devs and gives recurent updates about the work in progress and gives the required notifications that you all want for, on a daily basis. The needed collateral is still 500,000.00 Renesis.

2. Community questions

We are listening.

Maybe if the devs can share a little more information about the merchants who have already agreed to accept RESS for payment, the community can share that info on social media. That might help encourage more people to buy and use RESS while also getting the name and use case out there.

Answer : Nice question hashauger, we talked about it for around 10 minutes because I was myself wondering the same. There are around 13 stores that accept renesis at the moment. We will upgrade the website to show what are the actual stores that accept renesis at the moment, and as well as the ones that has ongoing negociations. It will not only help people to see the Renesis Team transparency, but to gives as well the stores some publicity so that they can sell their products worldwide for Renesis.

Just to elaborate on the idea: a gallery on the website of merchants who accept RESS that provides three simple pieces of info for each one. A description of the business, why they decided  to accept crypto and how RESS fits with their business and customer needs.
The fact that businesses are actually starting to use RESS distinguishes the coin from many others. The challenge is trying to get investors to take notice of that fact.

hey. One idea for you to think about. Ethos wallet - get listed there. Renesis would receive a lot of attention if you would give them some coin for theyr airdrops and come a partner to them. I dont know how much coins do we gave for something like that.

Soon is goint to use simplex as stage 1 fiat gateway. And this is just a beginning. All this and many many new things will be awailable through a mobile wallet. Stocks, bonds, commodities etc. Next year its going to be huge for ethos. And if you are listed in there, then it would make a lot of things easyer for many people to buy ress or change or sell. Who am I and what I do ? I'm a long date crypto enthusiast, as the simple regular guy that live well with his girlfriend and dog. I'm living from cryptocurrencies since more than a year, full time. I love what I do, and I know when I sense scam, as I know when I can sense potential. It is a no brainer why I wanted to join the Renesis team since I sense a lot of potentials. I am now their advisor, as the project manager. I'll do most of the talking and keep that everything will remain right on tracks. I will as well take the time to talk with the community, and have fun with you. This is only the beginning.

5. Exchanges and CMC

Ok now the serious talking is starting. Recently I covered the renesis team with the Hotbit story that they wanted to give us a ''special'' price of 1.5 btc for the listing of Renesis. After I found out that most of the people here are either scammed, that their balances are changed after a good trade, or even after just subscribe to their exchange and noticed all of the shadow trades and lack of volumes, the Renesis took the great decision to cancel the RESS listing at hotbit.

I have done the following fork ;

Poloniex ( need more questions to be answered at the community dev channels. )
Liqui - Will only add coins at their own discretion
Idex ( In a case that we will be able to trade Renesis with Eth eventually, I'll have to contact them )

Yep poloniex and hitbtc likes to enable deposit but disable withdrawal or trading. They are indeed not only centralised, but acting for their own benefits. At the present time we would not have to worry since renesis is still young, but still, we all know their shady behaviors and it woulds not be a good idea as a first listing to be listed their. Thats why we have chosen Crypto Bridge.

I'm happy with my Enemy miner though, have anyone tried both miners and has any results? Is there any significant difference between them?

For me with 1080ti cards, it gave a 15-20 % boost of hash power compared to enemy. Sad cause i really liked enemy miner.

To be honest since Renesis is flying under the radar atm with very few miners, if an ASIC was to be implemented then we'd know it by the high flying difficulty!

I wouldn't worry about ASICs until RESS is in an exchange and on the top of the mining profitability charts; especially since the Renesis team has said they an algo fork ready for deployment in case they notice an ASIC intrusion.

 Renesis has now reached block# 75,000.

Double mining reward period is now halfway done. Mining reward will go from 800 ress/block to 150 ress/block at block 150k.

Renesis has now a crypto-bridge private channel, the last before we can get it list here. We will organise a fund raising to support renesis founders , miners and investors so that the coin can be listed  fairly, without having only one entity that buy the ress listing fee to dump his renesis afterwhile.

Renesis is dead, it was either a scam or a failed project.
I don't know about Maplechange but with such growing competition among the exchanges, I didn't expect a small and amateurish exchange like Maple to stay around for long. I hope all you had there were just RESS coins which aren't worth anything anyway.

As I've stated above, if you're looking for alternatives to an anti-ASIC coin then go to Ravencoin or even better to XDNA which is both ASIC and FPGA resistant and it's also focused on supporting scientists, charity and overall improving the world.

Just so you know, Ravencoin can be mined with FPGAs, though it seems it's not a mainstream solution yet.

You can also get acquainted with the statistics of successful swaps and I want to clarify that the RESQ community voted for the RESS swap and it will be produced. Regarding the rest of the nuances, we are now focused on preparing a shift for the POS structure, introducing new interesting features (for example, successful experience with KYD, namely tracking and blocking exploits in the network) and integrating the Exchange and Voting platform. I am no newbie here ...

I read and research quite extensively, and being in the industry for as long as I have (almost the beginning), I know talk is cheap and actions play the only part in what brings a project forward. So when I 'advise', I do so in the most positive way. If you prefer that I just sit and watch like I have been without any constructive criticism, then so be it.

I am interested in what you are proposing because it strikes a chord with what we do also, but again, this is not done nor produced yet, so I guess patience is a virtue on our end ;)

It does seem you are on the right track with this, and would be interesting to see how this comes out though, and if it does all pull through, we would be interested in a number of things to integrate in our platform/ecosystem as well. Will see how that comes about because ours is still 'in the making' as well.

- Register on the Swap platform website (swap.resqchain.org), then go to the control panel (Dashboard) and click on the (+) sign (Add new pair). Next, select RESQ Chain - general information about the current swaps will be available as well as their ratio (Ratio) and Commission (Fee), history and management (Manage) will also be available on the tab. Select open swap "Renesis RESS" by clicking (+ Add).

- Next, a window will open “Add the Swap Pair For Renesis to Resq Chain” request address of your wallet RESQ v3.1.2.1. Enter your RESQ address where you would like to receive the exchanged RESQ. Be sure to enter the wallet address by COPYING, if you enter incorrectly, you will lose all your coins! Confirm the entered RESQ address with the (Add pair) button.
