"Ethereum is great and very Innovative altcoin in crypto-space today and i'm very positive about the $2500 mark value in the last quarter of 2018 and its almost 5 months left and counting so we better buy and HODL now like I do, Ethereum will dominate the growth in coinmarket capitalization second only to bitcoin.

It is already widely proven, that ethereum is a good coin. especially at this time many who use smart contract services from ethereum. it can make the etherum even better!

Where BTC is expected to breach $35k price, ETH is likely to cross $2500. This growth projection is created due to many factors like last term growth data, institutional money entrance, increase of new investors near thanksgiving etc. Market is due for a bullish cycle and this long term bearish phase has built that inner momentum. If everything goes right without any major negative news, then ETH can successfully reach $2500 by year end.

Though Ethereum is good but $2500 at December 2018 is an impossible point. The highest peak of Ethereum is at range $1380 to $1400, now we see it's hard for ETH to reach this peak again. Until December 2018 i think that Ethereum is about ~$1500.

Completely agree with you ;D. in fact, without Ethereum the whole industry would have stood still for a long time. Ethereum gave a tremendous "impetus" to the whole cryptocurrency industry....

Actually , this is a really big dream. I think , 2500 is not possible for in this year. I dont agree , cause of market prices and news. I hope eth can reach 2500$ but for me really unbelievable.

the only that a coin with no real usage like ethereum to go up nearly 500% in 5 months is to get pumped hard. this is easily possible in altcoins but the problem with coins like ethereum is that they got too big and being big means you can no longer pump them this big.

for example you can easily pump a small coin with $0.0001 up to 1000% in a very short time but you can never pump a coin that is already pumped and is big.

However, at present, the whole market is in a downward trend, and as the ICO market begins to cool down, the demand for ETH is gradually declining.
Therefore, I think the price of ETH is difficult to break the new height, and the current ETH has a throughput problem.

I appreciate your opinion, buy because positive thoughts this does not make sense, stop doing something like this, cryptocurrency is volatile let alone here we will not know for sure how the value of cryptocurrency in the future, if you want to assume then use analysis and looking for information that might influence the demand market later. I've seen a lot of people do this, they think after buying and holding then the coins will go up, but the fact there is also a decrease and sometimes we forget this which resulted in loss of value and time.

the etherium has already shown its worth at the end of 2017. Therefore, it is possible that after a certain stagnation, by the end of 2018 this coin will again grow in value. This is a popular and stable coin with large investments.

I will be happy if your prediction will come before the end of this year since the market are not yet recovering since the begginning of this year, before that happen it need to break its all time high most project are ethereum based so the possibility to hit that amount is high.

Although BTC is king, I agree ETH will not lose its second spot due to the mass adoption of smart contract. We should see more adoption in the coming years which is a good news for ETH.

you should consider yourself lucky if ETH touches $1000 by the end of 2018.   It is really not scaling well for the amount of load it is under.

I thought I going to see some TA to backup the claims of ETH reaching $2500 by the end of the year. Anyways, if ETH goes $2500, then bitcoin will be what? like $30K? it will be really good to see both of them hitting that price but I doubt that is doable. Perhaps another 1-2 year before we see both of them at that levels, investments seems to be drying up and no fresh blood is pumping the market as of this moment. All of them are afraid, so the best thing we can do is to accumulate more and see how it goes in the next couple of years.

ETH wont hit $2k5 by this year. Maximum price by the end of year is 1k, and that depends on the bitcoin trend. At least shall take 10 years for ETH to have 2k5.

There are forecasts that such prices as now, we will never see since September 2018! The market will fly up! With the popularity of Ethereum platform with ICO, I'm sure that the rate of 1ETH will cost very substantial money as early as the end of 2018!

That will be high if Ethereum will reach $2,500 by 4th quarter of the year. Its also an indication that bitcoin has grown up and increase its price too. High predictions now seems not working due to FUDs by bigger names in the economy are giving their negative ideas about cryptocurrencies. At least mid-2019 we can see that the ETH price is 2500$. October or 2018 is completely unlikely. Bear market is still very healthy, and it's not easy for ETH to go up at this time.

"Destined" is such a strong word and I think it's not the case in this matter..  Back to it again, it's all a speculation, meanings it could be true but most of the time it won't. Not saying eth couldn't be $2500, personally I believe eth could be $2500 and even more. However, it's all a speculation, let's not think of this as a sure thing. You speculatives is a bit worthwhile and I expect ethereum to resume it last year trend any moment from this August.  We have had a very bad market since last April and I think this is  due to the over all general economic meltdown.  Stocks and forex are not left out.

It could be really very cool. I wish Ethereum would reach 2,5 thousand by the end of this year. However, now, the altcoin does not show its power. All that we have to do is to wait for the bull run.

I hope your prediction will be correct but the current slugglishness in price is not very encouraging and for eth to reach 2500 it seems like a very long journey from here, im sure if it breaks 1000 mark again the  everyone will become bullish about eth but we will have to wait and see for now.

Without a rise in bitcoin it will be difficult for Ether to rise too and your price prediction don't seems to be something that is going to happen by even the end of the year since Ether is struggling to reach the price of 500 USD.

It's bitcoin's power, if we haven't seen some good price increase for bitcoin it will be difficult for Eth to move that high. I think that $2,500 is too much for this year but if those predictions for bitcoin will perfectly come, somehow $25,000 or $50,000. I have no doubt that ETH will manage $2,500 also bitcoin ETF will play a big part here.

I do not think so eth will reach this ammount in just few months . We hold for 9 months and the eth is only being dumped not PUMPED !!!!!!!

Today I saw news that ETH mining becomes non-profitable. And this fact can lead to hashrate reduction and as a consequence to reduce blockchain aggregate capacity. Maybe price will return to the high level fast. But if it will continue a quite long then I don't be surprised from miners leaving. In this case it will be one more poison drop for ETH

Though ethereum is very potential and it will rise definitely when the market recover from the bear and the bull run start but I do not think it will rise as high as this amount by December because the price is still very low now.

Too much for ETH at the end of the year. We are far from that speculation and few more days left its already October and the first entry of the 4TH and final quarter of the year. I'm bullish at the end of the year but I'm not so sure if this is going to be possible. ETH at $2500 is really high and I cant support that prediction though I want that price.

According to the current crypto market i think ETH can not reach $ 2,500. It is probably around $ 1,000 because the recovery process takes a lot of time for the market. And now ETH is recovering after the last wave.

It can be real to reach $2,500 but its too soon to say that its going to be this December. The movement of ETH is faster also today, if this is going to keep going and there will be only small/minor dips then we may expect that its going to hit $2,500 on this fourth quarter. I can feel the enthusiasm. I have no doubt Eth is a good token but saying it will replace btc on top is not believable. Aiming for $2500 is good of course we all want the growth of tokens in crypto as we are all in this together. But while its happening BTC will also rise, you should focus in accumulating BTC for you might not afford it sooner.

ETH will reach $2500 when bitcoin does to $100k. I don't see ETH going to $2500 in the next few years unless bitcoin goes parabolic. Too many ICOs are selling ETH which will depress its price for some time. ETH is a good token but it needs to consolidate above $1000 before it can go to $2500.

I dont know if you would able to read this thread you had created but i would say such prediction didnt able to hit up on what you have expected for ETH's price to reach into these months. As of this moment
we are already in the month of October and guess what? the price of Eth as of writing is still on $222.95 which means its -80-90% on what you had expected but well thats the reason why we are here on a speculation thread yet anyone can make their own presumptions and views.This really proves out that everything on crypto is way too unpredictable.

Actually i am holding some ethereum until thiss moment,though the value got pumped last January but i manage to keep calm,and didn’t sell mine so i am waiting for that moment when etherem go above $2,500 for the recovery since many have big losses when the value drastically drop to below $200

Indeed Ethereum has significant gain recently, after the dump few weeks ago, it leave most of other cryptos behind, but it $2500 way to much, as we know that Bitcoin price will affect other Crypto, includes Ether. Bitcoin needs to be $20k so that Ether price could reach $2500 and I don't see any signal that lead that way. But, other than that, the recent Bullish on Ether make me think that it can reach at least $800 this year.

I think whales do it on purpose. They deliberately lowered the price to the very bottom, there was a long period of accumulation (a few weeks there were very large volumes). Yes, it's great and has good leadership and real usage however, investors are not willing to risk at all. Besides, XRP is already out performing Ethereum is terms of trading volume and both of them are switching back and forth position regarding the top dog of altcoin market. Good day. Its October now yet nothing happens. Ethereum still very low at $230 compared to $1000 last February. We need more users so the price would spike but due to the market crash, people are in doubt if they'll buy or not. We still have a month more so let's just see what happens then.

The reverse is seeing to be the case here as since you open this thread ethereum has been going down and it is just a little bit above $200. We are at the bottom now and for it to move in such way it has to be through a government adoptions which I see will not happen this year.  $2500 in 2018 may not be possible but if it happens we would thank God.

Ethereum at 2500 USD? just impossible in this year. Even the Ethereum price will not be 2500 In 2019! EOS or Ripple can take Ethereum's place anytime. Bitcoin get down to $2500 by December is what I did not always agree.  I think we should be talking about bullish trend now and not dumping forecasts.  I have been following the events that are happening now in cryptocurrencies world but I expect those news to transmit to bull run in December.

Nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency but I doubt if it can reach the $2500 value this year.  It is not highly probable to happen knowing that market is still down until now. My guess is that by end oif the year, ethereum might be $1500 and not the $2500 mark.

buying ethereum from now on and holding a hold is a good choice, although we cannot predict ethereum prices to reach the highest point and when but we can be optimistic if ethereum prices will be in the second best position after bitcoin.

That's still a big question to ask while seeing how ETH are going right now, the value is too low and more and more traders and holders are losing

It won't be long until someone/some project replace it, a lot of problem happened with that project or their system and even Vitalik himself did not do his best. Yes, chances are always there since crypto market is unpredictable. Ethereum once hit its highest value last year and could be possibly happen again this year that is why I always hold ethereum for I hope that it will pump up gain and give me a maximum profit as I expected for this coin is very promising despite of what happen in the market now.

I dont think that ETH  will go to $100 price as the price is holded strongly nearby $150 so if it is broken then only we can see $100 price till then you can buy below $200 price and in a week you will get chances to sell in above $220 price.

We are on october and still the whole market is struggling including ETH, I always support ETH but I don't think it will reach double from the ATH though if BTC will soar again probably $10k until the end of this year I am more than happy to see ETH to $500-700. It is very hard to predict what will happen with this kind of market behaviour.

Agree, We are in the middle of October right now. and have not identified or anticipated any trends of ETH. On basis, ETH is still a priority for speculation when the market grows. Today it can breathe ~ 20%. However, I still do not think ETh can reach $ 2k5 at the end of this year. is probably very difficult. It needs a stronger catalyst to break the control.

Not even possible with $800 on this year, not a guaranteed thing but basing on the current market condition plus ICO success on ETH-platform I would say it would really be hard.This proves out that speculation would be destined to be broken by this speculative market.Theres no such prediction can point out on what would be the future prices of these coins. We are already on 4th quarter of this year and theres no sign of any bullish movements.

With the things going around, this speculation will remain a dream since ether's value currently is too low. It will remain on the second place in terms of coinmarket cap but still it's value won't grow otherwise they will do something on it's platform and partnership with big companies.

Well, the thing here is that even as optimistic the OP must have been; there is no way anyone can know how things would pan out. I really do not know what would become of the altcoins in the long term or short term, but certainly, the whole market is actually trying to gear up for a bullish momentum at this point as the case may be after the break out experienced from Bitcoin recently.

Its not even a dream ($15,000)...Its a blatant fantasy.  When they reduce block reward even miners will be off of it.  The hashing power will fall like a rock because there will be no profit in it.  Look what happened to ZEC price when Asics took over and profit for GPU mining went down the toilet too.  History.Learn from it or pay the price.

Compared to its current price now jumping in to 2500? I cant wait for it to happen. But quite frankly as i read review and predictions for Ethereum it is expected to hit a little over 900 USD quite short from its all time high. I hope im wrong though.

It is normal if there was altcoins fall and people expect the price will bounce back even so for ETH price that i'm sure most people expect ETH will reach again to all time high even more but i think the current situations were too complicated that from fake news, negative news and ICO regulations makes majority of cryptocurrency down including ETH but regardless the price movement i think ETH still good to consider as the most potential altcoin to hold for long term

Works fine for me, it's just temporary spikes in Bitcoin network. I'm still spending under 250 satoshi fees and getting confirmed in several blocks. With 10k satoshi you should easily be doing 40 sats/byte on 1 input. What kind of wallet are you using that needs 10k satoshi fee???

This is ridiculous prediction, I think the discussion on this forum is really getting dilluted, how in the world will someone make this call based on what, that is something like 12X from the current price because Ethereum just dipped below $200 today. I have nothing about Ethereum and with Devcon I don't see how this would happen without BTC reaching price range of $22k to $25k

I do not even prefer to go with the prediction of dump in prices in the months to come. The market is collectively influenced by the market forces and exogenous factors and we will have the bull upon having a harmony among these factors.

Now the price is declined instead even 10x lower than you predicted. We are already in Q4 but there's no sign of bullish trend yet so the eth price most likely won't reach $2500 in this year. But the fact that Ethereum has a great community and also the most used platform convince me to keep holding it.

ETH fundamentals and utility has not changed and it remains a top coin to hold. Nobody has got the future price forecasts right and any high prices will need the bull trend to resume first.

I have faith with ETH as well and that's why I never sold when it's able to reach $500 before dropping to $165.

I don't regret of not selling though there's a chance. I know that the price would increase soon in the upcoming years to come. And we've got some event to wait until Vitalik is finish with the implementation of Casper which is believed to increase the price soon.
