Title: silence before the storm? Post by: Xer0 on February 18, 2014, 03:59:01 PM whats up with the miner sales?
Bitmain sold out, next shipping 28th, but old price and not opened orders Avalon Clones not beeing sold anymore, except by Scammers only the 5-chip Gridseeds are instock or near delivery now Title: Re: silence before the storm? Post by: dogie on February 18, 2014, 04:06:59 PM whats up with the miner sales? You're mistaken. Antminers are ONLY sold as in hand hardware, and are made in batches. They are the premier hardware at the moment so demand has been astronomical.Bitmain sold out, next shipping 28th, but old price and not opened orders Avalon Clones not beeing sold anymore, except by Scammers only the 5-chip Gridseeds are instock or near delivery now The last batch of Avalon2 chips were sold, so the only clones are the current ones in the pipeline. Plenty of other companies are delivering/about to. Title: Re: silence before the storm? Consider yourself spoilt that you only have to wait <2 weeks for huge amounts of hash rate. Title: Re: silence before the storm? (500+ machines) Title: Re: silence before the storm? Post by: Xer0 on February 18, 2014, 05:14:16 PM Then one on the 16th (Shipping on the 28th) - Sold out in 12 hours. (500+ machines) are these confirmed numbers or an estimate?500+ units sounds like they cleared out old stock + hosted units and plan something new but 200GH at 1,45BTC received in march is a crazy game, cant believe anyone bought this Title: Re: silence before the storm? I agree with your sentiments regarding the 1.45BTC for current stock though. Title: Re: silence before the storm? It makes only a lousy 0,00725BTC / GHs so it's not that expensive. And mining might not be the only purpose to buy these babies. ^^ Cheers. 8) Title: Re: silence before the storm? It makes only a lousy 0,00725BTC because, even at eBay you wont get more than 1200€ for them. NOWand you usualy get >30% profit by selling there otherwise its a bad deal these units make their 1.5 BTC back if started today, but less than 1 delivered if in march Title: Re: silence before the storm? Post by: bclcjunkie on February 19, 2014, 04:58:15 AM simple economics.. price of one antminer dropped to usd 900 due to lower btc prices. add electricity+manpower+raw materials+shipping and you're staring at thin margins. hence imho they're trying to compensate that by mining first and then selling.. when bitmain was selling them agressively about a month ago one antminer was about 1000+ usd so there was still a room for better margin...
