I've seen my share of issues at this pool. Every single coin. Always something that causes a lot of miners to lose money. Operator always comes back with some story. He is probably stealing the funds every once in a while.

The website looks like a direct rip off of www.fusionhash.com as well.  That's pretty funny.

Happened with both his COINO & MINT pools.

Lots of blocks mined but owner kept the payouts for himself & hid it under a "server upgrade".

Don't know why people still go back & mine at his pool  ???

I definitely learned a lesson.

I had over 2 million in my account, probably closer to 3 last night. I checked the site this morning and had ZERO currency, no failed login attempts, no mismatch on pins, and no record of earnings (fees, debits, credits or otherwise) in the transaction log.

Hallmark of "behind the scenes" activity/error - will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Hello,

We are very aware of this problem.  And I would like to address, this is not a scam pool.  In the official thread we have posted an update, that we are fully aware.   The system has had a technical glitch, just like coins themselves can, welcome to crypto currency.

Rather then shut down the entire system to figure this out, it is taking longer while the pool is operational.

Do not worry this will be resolved, this is not something that is a 5 minute fix and needs a deep dive into code.  Also please be aware the pool is currently working properly, and this issue is isolated to a certain time frame.

If the issue cannot be resolved automatically, at the very least we will have manual payouts for missing coins.  Please follow the main carbon thread, where all updates will be posted.

You will notice a vast majority of pools have issues.   And the reason this is that while the pool software is open source, is excellent, and it is an amazing contribution it is not perfect. Much like many open source projects.  In fact, there is many commits everyday to the system, on github, to fix issues and problems in the software.

The point of this is that pool owners are dealing with a complicated system to setup, and maintain.   If it was easy to do then more would do it.  But it's not, and things break.

Still waiting on my 200k+ carbon coin that was in confirmed status. Sent pool owners an email over 48 hours ago now still now reply by email or real answers on this thread. Only excuses. So I'm going to assume that the pool owners have taken the coins.

I've given them about 2.5 days now to get back to me by email or say something on the board. Another user said this isn't the first time this pool has scammed people out of coins saying it's a problem with their server or whatever.

What I found most disturbing was their association with pump and dump schemes. Not saying they participate, but there is a lot of back and forth with those types of groups.

Yes,

We've been trying to troubleshoot this and it is difficult.   So rather then make people wait, we are creating a spreadsheet and we will be doing manual payouts.

Please check the official carbon thread.

Hasrapid is SCAM pool
I made withdrawal request 1.200.000 Carbon Coin but don't pay to me never.

Give them the benefit of the doubt... It's almost been a week. If this many people were effected, and they have to manually sort it, it may take a while.

Either way, they will either pay out or this message will get louder.

They have cleaned out my million Mintcoins too. 0.4 BTC at current prices.

I left them there while MINT was worthless, didn't want to download wallet and when I saw it's pumped today went over there to pick them up but BAM, balance is 0.

I'm still missing MINT from their server "migration" a few days back due to "a corrupt blkindex file".

I understand these things can be complicated but why not post something somewhere about a timeframe of resolution?

Or maybe a quick reply to my many sent messages instead of silence?

Not surprising that people get tired of being polite and start saying "scam".

Same thing to me. Hashrapid.com own me since 3 days over 500 000 mintcoins.
Not only that. They disabled their messaging system.
I had to send a message from their topcoin website.

SCAM until proven wrong. Avoid them.

A) they change server
B) the coins we're stuck in the old server
C) after trying to withdraw them, the coins disapears.
D) no message or ticket system avaiable.

Hashrapid.com, reply or my message will get louder too.

Costumers satisfaction comes first.

Just say something, anything so that we don't all think you're a scam operation.

What happened to all those MINT?

Title: Re: hashrapid.com pool scam??? [CARBON coin]

This is why you set your auto payout low. Things happen, and the pool is not a bank.

If you read the Terms of Service on hashrapid or most pools you'll see this:
Quote
The Pool is not an e-wallet or a bank for your coins. The Pool and it's operators are not responsible for any loss of coins which are stored on the Pool. It is your responsibility to configure your account so that the coins you mine are regularly transferred to your own secured offline wallet.

I have seen people horde tons and tons of coins on pools, like 5+ BTC value worth of coins. For what reason? Wallets get corrupted, hard drives go bad, etc... and then people freak out. It's not your wallet, get the coins off there as soon as possible. Most reputable pools will reinforce the idea of a low payout, because they know that shit breaks.

Now, I am not saying there is not corrupt pool operators out there but that's a whole other issue.

Great point in citing the terms of service; however, I don't think letting coins idle for a day is a breach or a bridge too far.  As a newbie miner, I obviously took the lesson.

Hashrapid positions itself as as a professional mining service with on-call development operators.  The pool charges a 2% rate and has payout costs - personally, I associate the higher fees and statements of service worth it assuming service is rendered. This assumption and interpretation leads me to conclude the owners and operators wouldn't hide behind terms of service in doing what is right.

Rather than destroying the brand they have at present and starting over under a new pseudonym, I kind of have to think they will do the manual payouts they said they would...Despite the lack of communication.

This "moving to a new server" excuse seems to be a regular thing for hashrapid. They'd already switched servers once on Mint.

I would like a public response from them before ever mining on their pools again.

Good luck getting a response, no-one else ever has. Shady excuses, missing coins and conveniently timed hiccups. It's a scam pool to me until proven otherwise.

Instead of defending themselves and addressing this extremely common issue they remain silent.

Happened with both his COINO & MINT pools.

Lots of blocks mined but owner kept the payouts for himself & hid it under a "server upgrade".

Don't know why people still go back & mine at his pool  ???

You will notice a vast majority of pools have issues.   And the reason this is that while the pool software is open source, is excellent, and it is an amazing contribution it is not perfect. Much like many open source projects.  In fact, there is many commits everyday to the system, on github, to fix issues and problems in the software.

The point of this is that pool owners are dealing with a complicated system to setup, and maintain.   If it was easy to do then more would do it.  But it's not, and things break.

That's BS.  It's only Hashrapids pool having this "problem".  I was mining at your MINT pool the first week up to the point it went down for an upgrade.

Once you have the new pool up, you did give us a link to withdraw our coins from the old server, but it was less than before the server went down.  I was able to withdraw  my coins, but there were a ton of confirmed blocks, with no payout to miners.  We asked you about it on the MINT forums but you never answered them & just disappeared.

Oh & my COINO coins where I sent you my wallet address 3 times, I still have not received them yet.

on February 24th I tried to manually withdraw the confirmed 9.4k mintcoins from their "old" server. right after that the balance went to 0 but NOTHING arrived in my wallet. almost a week later, still nothing.

just saying here and there that "other pools have problems too", simply doesn't cut it.

my amount of over 9400 mint might not be a lot but there are people who are missing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of coins and in peak times of mint that is, sorry, a fuckload of money.

I seriously hope that not even more people get scammed by this pool.

I've had terrible issues with them too.  When I was mining Mint, Hashstrike was down every 5 minutes so I was using Hashrapid.  I noticed big differences.  To test, I ran a machine with a r9 270 on hashrapid for 3 days.  I ran another identical machine with exact same setup on hashstrike for the same 3 days.  40% less on hashrapid, even with all the downtime hashstrike was having.  Don't take my word for it, test it yourself.
