Well, as I could see a lot of work has been done on the project before the announcement of the ICO.

Just have read in the WP that OmniCoin is built on the open-source BitShares 2.0 (BTS) code base which is very perspective IMO as it is proved to handle the largest amount of transactions. Although OmniCoin developers have added many important features and functions to Bitsharesas they upgraded the blockchain security method from Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) to Proof of Participation (PoP).
And the most important is that they added escrow for the market, yet it is only an additional option.

Definitely, will look closer to OmniBazaar and I`m waiting for the dates and numbers of the ICO!

I must say that this is a very ambitious project, which already has strong competitors.

Ebay, Alibaba and other platforms take their fees for the services they provide: the users can open the dispute, they can get their money back if the seller deceives them.
Will you be able to offer such services for the users? Will the users have any guarantee that they can close a deal with minimum risk?

I think it will not be a problem. None of the sellers will want to spoil his reputation with bad reviews and controversial things. Directly to preserve the reputation, of the sellers go to meet buyers in disputes. It also happens in Ebay or Alibaba.

According to the official announcement, the official "production" version of OmniBazaar and OmniCoin will launch at 0:00 (UTC/GMT) on 31 October 2018.
Also in order to make this launch possible, some technical and test work should be done. So, OmniBazaar/OmniCoin network is planned to be offline from approximately 12:00 (UTC/GMT) 28 October to 0:00 (UTC/GMT) 31 October.

Obviously, this project is a good idea. But the team will have to make a lot of effort for marketing, so that this service would become popular. I think that many who use online stores, could use this service.

I believe it would in the future. Among all other similar crypto sturtups and existing marketplaces this is actually the one that i know, that mange to provide the full developed from zero working version of such complicated product as crypto marketplace.

Hello. I would like to ask how long the main sales will continue.
It is pleasant to watch the development of the project, which already has a working platform.

As I knew from the telegram conversation with the OmniBazaar team member they would keep it live till the end of the 2-nd Q 2019!
All are waiting for the growth of the market, and that this would lead in the more investment. Even the project with a fully working E-commerce platform like OmniBazaar is struggling from the lack of interest of investors. That`s what is very strange at all!

Nadia is right about our plans for the token sale. We spent a lot of time and money getting the marketplace working and launched. Now, we are hoping to get some financial support from the community. We are hoping that token purchasers will appreciate that we actually released a working marketplace before asking for money from the community.

It is clear that this is an advantage over projects that are only in development or plans. I think the problem is in a weak market in which investors have low activity. You`re right! We all realize that this marketplace is not perfect at this stage but this one is only one of the few opportunities for making crypto to be widely used among masses of users. You can list products or services and price them in terms of your local fiat currency. The application has no way to accept fiat. But, if you are doing a "local" transaction, where you can meet the buyer face-to-face, you could accept fiat (of course).

Yes, this is a very good idea. But how to deal with volatility. Volatility is a problem associated with small capitalization. This  is modernity.
If you put things on sale at one price, then tomorrow this price may have a different value. Is not it? This complicates the process of trading.
If the OmniCoins worked as a Tether (USDT), then this could have been avoided. BUT this implies constant coinage and burning.

This is not a bad idea. And, we actually discussed doing this, at one time. But, it would be extremely difficult to implement now.

However, we handled this in a different way.

When you make a listing, you only need to price the product or service in terms of your local currency (for example, dollars). And, select to also price the item in terms of BTC and ETH. When a prospect views your listing, the OmniBazaar software automatically checks the current exchange rates for the listing currencies (in this example, that would be BTC/USD and ETH/USD). It then presents the correct current prices in BTC and ETH, based on the USD price of the item. This same system will also be implemented for XOM/USD (and other fiat pairs) after OmniCoin is listed on some exchanges.

The bottom line is that you don't need to worry about the volatility of anything except the fiat currency that you use to price the listing.

Yeah, such a correction will really help circumvent volatility. It looks like this is a good solution, I think it will work.
