I was discussing with a friend the other night about bitcoins and how it is becoming popular. We also got to talking about altcoins until the topic went to the future of cryptocurrency. He said there will not be a new cryptocurrency in the future, I said there might be if more and more people gets in it. Do you think we will be introduced to a new cryptocurrency over the next decade or less? In my discussion with my friend, which do you think is more possible?

I think it’s possible because it’s already have huge popularity in the market. Hopefully new coins are introduce. But I believe bitcoin lead the market in future, it try to keep its position.

Crypto will be the future of the world. It has created jobs for so many and has been a huge part when it came to the contribution of the GDP of some of the countries. Plus companies are accepting payments in crypto too.

Yes they are the future. Given large companies are already accepting payments through crypto, i means that they know this will be the future and they are preparing themselves to have their stake to claim in the market. But until and unless all the countries accept crypto, it is yet to happen, but it will happen soon.

With the increase of the market it might be true that there having billions of people being involved in tthe crypto-space, there might creat some new crypto currencies in future, as crypto space in based on decentralization theory. BTC will not be the only crypto currency but many will be standing beside it though BTC, most probably will demonstrate them even then, these are just my assumption.

There will be definitely more cryptocurrencies getting released in the future because cryptos aren't perfect yet and new cryptos are trying to add features or remove the previous flaws of other cryptos and trying to make themselves acceptable among investors. Till cryptocurrencies reach a perfect state I think they will keep coming in.

most of these so called "cryptocurrencies" are created for pump and dump and profiting reasons so in the future we will continue seeing the same thing. just like the penny stocks but with the difference that anybody can create a new coin and enter the market with it so that they can earn money from pumps. i don't see this changing ever.

It is very likely that more people come to market and more currencies come to market. The hype of the first years is over, but it does not mean that there is not pending growth.

To me MaidSafe is very promising. It is basically a decentralized platform. It allows their user to encrypt their own data and upload that on the decentralized server so their working process is quite different from others.

Yes I too think factom is a great crypto currency by this year they have grown a lot actually. The best part of Factom is it allows companies in creating unchallengeable databases. So this crypto has a good future.

As my opinion the crypto I find highly potential and fantastic is Factom. If you see their market place it is quite huge and they are the true outliers. I personally like them very much.

Nothing is impossible. A new cryptocurrency can be introduced in near future as the crypto market is spreading and many people are joining. So it is not quite impossible I think.

I think Ethereum is a promising crypto for future to make invest in. The team works of ethereum is very smart and if you  see their growth then you will see it has already grew !00% over the past few months.

Yes you are right there will still be a big possibility that new Altcoins will be born or exist it is because of the fact that investors, developers use it as a form of livelihood or some kind of a business I mean they make huge amount of money with it believe it or not that will surely happen. I really agree with you. if many people who know about crypto are growing and people are using it, I think there will be many new crypto that enliven crypto currency. and this will become even more interesting, where many crypto will compete with their father, namely bitcoin.

I don't quite get what you are exactly pointing out. New cryptocurrency means release or existence of a new alternative coin in the market for a specific project or purposes correct? Which means that there will ALWAYS be a new cryptocurrency in the market because every single day there are so many projects that arise

I personally think there is a lot of room available for more cryptocurrencies to join till the market gets completely saturated. Though a lot of newcomers get confused with all these coins but it is better for the long run as they compete among themselves and gives out information to us which helps us to choose the best possible option for ourselves.

I am waiting for the strongest alternative cryptocurrency which will be able to compete with such great cryptocurrencies like Btc and Eth, and I think it will appeare soon even till the end of this year and we'll get a chance to work there.

Crypto market becoming popular day by day among the peoples. That’s why new cryptos are also coming in the market. But i think all cryptos are not remains in the market.

The cryptocurrency industry is getting more people who are becoming aware of its technology and the truth that it is, and a lot of ideas are being put into hard work to generate tokens that would most likely solve some real life problems. So most definitely, there would be more creation of more projects, leading to more cryptos in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised if crypto land scape would look just as different as it does now compared to three years ago. I mean, half of the cmc top 20 of 2015 isn't showing up at cmc right now...this says enough. Progress is made daily. A project launched in the near future is perhaps able to make a current project obsolete...I think we are just at the start of it all...

In the future we'll have a lot of cryptocurrencies and the market will not be recovered as a lot of people think. I am sure that there will be much stronger ones.

Earlier on in cryptocurrency community,  there are huge support for bitcoin 2.0, people were developing other protocol that will outsmart bitcoin.  They wanted a coin that will be well ahead of bitcoin.  But all the 2.0s have disappeared,  bitcoin is still standing! 

Nowadays there are lot of new currencies created everyday so it will increase in the upcoming days so the new cryptos will keep increaseing when the days passes but I don't think we need new cryptos still but we need to develop the altcoins already available in a way that it can be used in real life.

Cryptocurrency world has very good potential and bright future :). You should know that day by day tons of ICO projects created, it's also mean that tons of new cryptocurrency created :). But we still dont' know about potential of these new cryptocurrencies until they get listed on official exchange :). I do believe that in the future, there will be few new cryptocurrencies become better than BTC and ETH :)

This is the point where I really do wish that more cryptos are not introduced to the market system. There are so much of them already, and it is already so much of a task to tell which is legit and which is scam, so it would be best if some extra cryptos are not introduced into the industry, at least until there is a way to maintain and regulate them.

indeed, bitcoin is still the highest priced coin, and there are still many people who use it as an investment, but now many new altcoins are created, and maybe someday there will be altcoins that will be more popular like bitcoin, because we will never know the future  crypto's will happen.

What is more likely in my opinion from the results of your discussion with your friends in my opinion is that there is no new cryptocurrency in the future. But I also agree with your response that nothing is impossible if you want.

In my opinion, there will be more coin born in the future, each field will have a separate token. These tokens use the different blockchain platform. Although cryto is currently banned and unpopular, I believe it will have a bright future. In 2000, No one think that one car would run on electricity, and 500km would have to be recharged once. And the result, in 2016 Tesla has launched such models. Modern technology will be applied to life and blockchain too, totally belive that.

Of course, new cryptocurrencies will appear but I am not sure in the time because current market is not able to offer strong enough cryptocurrencies for investing or buying. I am waiting for these changes that will help us to develop the cryptocurrency market. I hope they will appear till the end of this cycle.

I think that for now at least, no new cryptocurrency should be introduced to the market. The street is littered with new projects, with so many that are just shitty or scams, and I think that rather than creating new projects, much should be put into promoting and developing an already existing one. At least for now please.

Well, everything is possible in decade from now maybe there's a new form of crypto will be introduced. The future of digital currency will always evolve with the new technology and the demands of the people in the near future. It's just opinion, the truth is no one knows that. Even crypto have similar pattern, strategy or market condition it will not guarantee will have future like currency or commodities. there are many discourses and discussions about cryptos for the future, we even have new cryptos like trx, eos, neo and others. but until now bitcoin remains superior in the future and always binds the market

I think that in the next two years we could see the total transformation of the current crypto-market. Some today's major coins will decrease sharply in their influence and popularity but the new coins will be created and go to the top of coinmarketcap.

to my opinion 90 percent of existing altcoins will die in a few years. And those that remain and will be the top 100. Of course, it will not be the current coins, everything will change

As far as new types of crypto, actually we are already on "blockchain 3.0"
For a long time almost all coins were the same, they followed the btc blockchain structure.
Then, eth brought in the ability to create smart contracts right on the blockchain, creating a new type of blockchain, a "blockchain 2.0" if you will.
And now, we have cryptos that aren't even blockchains at all, but instead are original pieces of tech including iotas tangle, nano's dag, etc.
These can all be called blockchain "3.0" they are instant, free, and scalable.

new cryptocurrencies appear almost every day, but i do not think that this news altcoins will replace bitcoin in the future. i am sure, in one to two years we will see many new altcoins in the top 10 cmc.

More cryptocurrencies will continue to spring up. Only this year 2018 alone has seen over additional 1000 coins or tokens added to the market. This is going to be a continuous trend.

I agree with you, new things are born in line with the times, Crypto is now very good but still has many shortcomings. If in the future the new Crypo is born, I really support it because I'm sure it would be better why I say that? they certainly created it as best they could after seeing all the quality of the current system and creating a more innovative system. We still have a lot of potential, because almost no projects that are listed on coinmarketcap have already released their working products and 2019 will be rich for a lot of great projects as soon as the market recovers its value.

I can't imagine such space which full of personal coins belong to someone or some company. Needs should be covered by biggest cryptos in market and that's how every country is able to create its own currency. It is not about satisfaction, it is all about usefulness.

There will definitely be more, especially ones that are used for different applications. Some might be a store of wealth, others might be a unit of account and some will become independent on their own like Ampleforth has stated in their whitepaper paper. It is possible have new cryptos in the future if the people want's new cryptocurrency. But better we still use our current cryptocurrency because that is nice and better for us is to improve it more or upgrade so it will not less the shine of cryptocurrency so it will become more popular again. But if the new cryptos is better why not but now we are focus in the current cryptocurrency.

people will need to accept any currency if it was new or existing it cannot be a big matter for people it need more stability and more standard features to attract the people for investment otherwise the new currency will not be valuable at most of the time.

Crypto must always develop their project, because so far their implementation has only focused on blockchain, and sadly many fail or just repeat the same event. I think in the future crypto must be even bolder in developing, for example by cooperating with large companies and becoming their platform.

Surely there are now thousands of other cryptocurrencies with more being launched every month (not as fast as during the ICO frenzy of 2017 and early 18 of course).If you acutally meant will another coin take over Bitcoin's dominance at the top of the marketshare list then it doesn't look likely for now.
