Perhaps it would be an idea to increase the transactionfee a little bit, they are taking quite long and we have seen some transactions get stuck for a long time in other ponzis :)

It seems mostly to be incoming deposits that take long which we don't control the fee on.

Lowered required confirmations to 1.

I think that the 130% payout and 150% if there is no deposit for 24h is good; you could go advertise your ponzi and make sure to make the payments fast, it should pick up this afternoon; and when it picks up we all know that it goes fast because people keep reinvesting and betting more

Since the most important factor of a ponzi is growth a referral system is in development so that you can get 1% of any winnings a player makes through your link.

But that requires generating a new address for each visitor which is not quite as transparent as the single address so the best course of action is probably to build more trust before we implement the referrals.

Yeah I got paid, still unconfirmed but so far so good. Now that wasn't hard was it. Not enough legit people out there.

One thing to note:

Orders are put in an ordered queue and when a new order is confirmed each order is checked if there is enough balance now to pay it out.

So when small amounts are deposited the smaller amount orders are more likely to get paid out since the small deposit doesn't provide enough balance to pay out the larger orders.

The system has now been changed so that only the first order in the queue is tried until it is funded and then the next order is funded so that small orders aren't encouraged as much.

If there is a consensus that we should switch back to giving small orders priority I will consider that carefully.

Which ever system you are going to use, I think it is good to be clear about it for everyone. A few previous ponzis used a system where the smaller deposits were paid out first, but that just resulted people in depositing multiple small orders. So perhaps it would be a good idea to use this system, but create a maximum deposit so there can not be a single deposit that clogs up the whole system :)

For some reason the sending took a very long time to get one confirmation on the blockchain and the queue is ordered by who confirms first. You are however now 6th and very little left to move out the "big" 0.0075 order that is in first.

You can now see the queue on the page. The wallet total is 50% of the deposits + spendable + 1% fee + 0.1btc buffer from our pocket. The fee was 2%. Lowering the fee lodged the 0.1btc wall that was for a few hours but it would have fallen anyway with more deposits.

How long does it typically take to pay?

0.001 minimum. A maximum is not yet in place. Are there good reasons to have one?
If a large order comes he just pays out a lot of the other depositors who can come back in to a more active system.

Remember I am open to any changes as long as it does not make people who came in at other deals uncomfortable.

For example how would you guys feel about being able to manually withdraw the 50% whenever you want instead of it being time based? We can provide logins or just commands via small deposits.

If the current 130%/50% model fails to get people excited and everyone just gets the 50% we can then try again with something like 110% returns and 90% consolation or even 190%/10%.

That depends mostly on how many people are getting excited about the site and the idea. A few hours ago people were getting payed every 30 minutes but deposits have slowed down a bit and will probably pick up again tomorrow. You can see the timestamps in the queue.

The only real bottleneck is the amount of deposits.

If there is some consensus we can completely drop the consolation prize (except for those already in that deal) and deposits will be payed out 50% quicker by newer deposits.

However in that system there will never be a way to redeem any of your coins except by new deposits which natural laws dictate will eventually dry up.

It's the nature of ponzi. The 0.5 are waiting for a deposit to pay them out. Normally there would be much less in the wallet but the 50% changes that.

I have changed this back since it seems to make the system more fluid.
Three payouts were made when I changed it.

I think this just introduces an element of strategy, is friendlier to new or low volume players and gets more immediate payouts like Cat was talking about to make it fun.

If you pay enough to pay out the oldest one it is payed out. If not the oldest 1/3rd of orders are looked at until one is found that can be paid.

The amount on the account seemed large so I looked  into it and reviewing the system I spotted a flaw causing it to hoard more than required for the 50% payout. Fixed the flaw and paid out the hoarded coins. Also moved out the 0.1 that was put in as a buffer against flaws yesterday.

Everything is looking good and with the current settings we should be able to run quite fast.

Assuming we continue rolling like this everyone should be paid out right, so then we do'nt even need the consolation reserve. Would it not be quicker to jumpstart it by using this money to pay half of the queue? :)

The new rules are normal 130% returns.

The orders deposited with the old rules have a 50% reserve in place. That reserve is being used to pay out orders.

I was going to wait until 20:00 but accidentally most of it has already been used to payout since whenever an old order was paid it's reserve was added to the spendable amount as it did before :)

There are no objections and 0.1 is left of the reserves so they will continue to help pay out until they are finished which should be around 20:00..

The automated system has been up two days and is in active development. When the 0.2 came in the system was down for maintenance as it has often been over the last few days while development takes place. This has not slowed payouts considerably as it's usually in slow times.

Payouts happen in bursts as each time enough deposits come in to pay out people who reinvest, they will reinvest causing more payouts.

If we reset soon I think the next round will be 120% returns with 80% refund on timeout.

The refund idea was solid but I second guessed it in my sleepless state on the second day when deposits started slowing.
In fact growth with the refund should be just as fast as without it as was proved the first day when we had the refunds enabled.

Part of why I phased out refunds is because it made the account balance larger which may decrease trust.
At one point I could have taken over 0.8btc if I wanted but something like that wouldn't be very fun.

But to be honest I don't understand how you can say a ponzi with a refund can be just as fast as one without. Paying out all the deposits is clearly faster than paying out a part and putting the rest on standby... There is just no way of having a ponzi without losers, which should be obvious to everyone playing! Higher risk equals higher returns and vice versa...

This is what I was thinking when we phased out but in fact since part of the deposit is already on standby incoming payments only need to cover what's above the standby amount to pay out. There may be a slight hump at the beginning but we were already past that hump.

Obviously someone will lose but a built in insurance mechanism would have gotten those  losing at least some return.

Also if people can trigger the return of the insurance when they want some may see a slowdown in deposits and trigger their insurance, shortening the queue, encouraging deposits. This would kind of solve the problem of the black hole all ponzis eventually face by spreading out losses.

Sorry you lost money. If a newer deposit was paid it was only slightly newer and of less value. Do you have the txid or address of the newer deposit?

Really I am just a developer experimenting with making a small bitcoin service. When I made it I did not realize how many similar services were out there and hoped it would be used without me needing to promote a lot. I don't really have much time or inclination for promoting but the service is solid and can be adjusted to meet the needs of the community.

My suggestions would be the following:

-set in place a max deposit of around 0.25
-do not prioritize small deposits

I think it only looked at the smallest amount out of the first 10 deposits, which means sending 0.002 over and over again would not work for a very long time...But a system with a relatively small maximum amount and no prioritization would probably work better, which is in place now I guess.

It's a feature of bitcoin. When I send from my blockchain.info wallet it always asks if I want to add a fee or it may take a long time to confirm.

All wallets have that feature. Usually you are notified by the wallet software. I don't think you can do anything about it after it's sent.

Most transactions go through in a few minutes if they have a fee. I don't know how long yours will take.

120% / 80% worked well to begin with when the amounts started small but it's true that it did get slow later on even though deposits were coming in.
Since only 20% of deposits were used to pay out and each deposit needed 40% to pay out this was equivalent in speed to a 200% no refund ponzi which is a bit extreme but a nice experiment.

I'm thinking next round will be 120% / 50%.
So 50% will be used to pay out a needed 70% of older deposits which is close to equivalent in speed to a 140% ponzi with no refund.

This is how it works, my last post was wrong.



The timer is counting down last payout not last deposit. (it appears 24 hours after last payout, and lasts for 24 hours = 48  hours)

So a deposit can come when the timer is there, but round can still end if there is not enough sent to pay the next payout.

Currently 0.07149244 required for next payout. Last payout 3pm, so if 0.07149244 is not deposited within next 45 hours then it will reset.

Hi. Ponzimatic uses the blockhain.info API whose services have been down tonight. It should sort itself out once blockhain is up but I will also manually check for any problems.

I also deposited but I imagine it will take awhile before it is updated. If you notice the latest pays took place after reset and it is showing that more are coming as it takes 0 bitcoin for next payout.

Sorry for the slight delay. blockhain.info has not been working properly so I had to change the code to work with another service.

We just started the new round and people are redepositing when they get paid which is nice compared to what I am used to on ponzicoin last rounds

When the round stops you get 50% (I got it last round on 3deposits) if you were not paid

To all the people saying its a scam, its not. Look at the public transaction records, and look at the people on this forum. There is so many proof that this is not a scam, and that this pays, in fact I have been paid myself. To all the people taking down these ponzu sites, mainly riverboatbtc, change your life goal to ruining people's ideas to actually something productive, and so something for society, instead of taking from it.

Well it would have started in about 15 minutes by someone just deposited so now it has to go 48 hours before another reset can happen :(  I don't understand why anyone would just throw bitcoin away like that.

He sent just enough to get a payout so I presume it is the next in queue that sent from an other address; if you calculate he lost a little bit doing that but he may have an other deposit in line and hope that this one will get paid as well, it is utterly unlikely though
