Think I am crazy when I say that the cue ball will be 4500-5000$ for August-September! Can be! Do not argue! But my opinion is the place to be and here's why.

1) Institutions do not want to buy a cue ball for a high price.
2) according to the latest CBOE reports , mega whales are sitting in shorts.
3) Ruling the world just don't want the majority of people got rich and why do so people lost faith in the cue and sold on the cheap.
And the last...
4) analysis of the cue ball for 2014. He fell exactly 10 times! Therefore, from the previous highs ($20,000) ,the cue ball should fall to$ 2000 (but this is the Scam). Therefore 4500-5000$ I think it is real!

I personally think that this could be a problem in August and September. Great observation of the past and look at the future ahead this time. This might be a true scenario of bitcoin. No doubt about it.

if that come true, i will lost 80% money, it seem no more people believe in this market, so sad.

It's possible but that still doesn't mean it's going to happen. Situations from the past don't prove that the same scenario will happen again. Too much observations on the past will inhibite you to watch clearly to the future.
My opinion is that this fluctuation will continue in the next month or two and the price will go up and down but I don't think it will fall under 6000$ or 5500$ max.
In September I expect the price to slowly rise.

That's bad news, why should it happen for 8 months, when bitcoin and altcoin bounce back, if it's too long like that, then many people will start to be disappointed and leave Crypto.

For now, we may actually see the possibility of a bounce around $5k, but nothing is guaranteed and that bounce does not mean we are totally close to getting in on a nice ride eventually since the possibility of coming back to test that lower support and breaking it is still there, but there is going to be a short term psychological support at around $5k which could help for the mean time. Nevertheless, lower than $5k later on is still in play.

But, I am reading few positive news like listing bitcoin derivatives into some exchange in USA by November month. If anything that will be happening then we can sure about having price levels around $10k and then $12k levels. I too must agree this period of August to September will be crucial for bitcoin markets.

it is possible but people (most probably yourself included) have been saying the same thing from the beginning of the year and you have been waiting for extremely low prices below the strong bottom buy support. and basically you have been repeating the same things as your "reasons" for all those previous times too and none of them are real or even make a remote sense!

bitcoin has been bleeding now because SEC delayed its hearing to SEP and of course whales got advantage of this news and made the price hit stop-loss of weak hands and thus further dropping . price may hit 6000$ at most and can't drop any more (IMO) just because people are already getting enough from keep losing and if it hit those numbers , people will lose faith ad that won't be any good even for whales.

There are some traders and investors also think and tell about this anyway we dont have the right to correct them since we dont know what the future will be. They said that aftr breaking the $6000 there is big possibilities that it will $5000. Even though this dump will end soon dont worry.

Whales knows how to play well, after this delayed they started to dumped some of those coins that they bought when the price still cheap and allow fomo's to buy with them, now they are taking advantage and trying to shake the market again, we can't deny the fact that the value can fall to that level and we can't avoid that to happen, as new investors and those panic sellers are wiling cut loses instead of holding and wait again for the re bounced, it's between experienced investors and newbies.

He's probably right, the market is pretty gloomy these days. I was preparing for that but not so much. There are a lot of parameters to take into consideration, and it's really hard to compare with an earlier period. It would have been possible if it had happened a dozen times before. Hm, thats too hard and fast to think about the bitcoin and the effects of so called institutional investments. But do you really think that most of the people in the crypto does know these kinds of news are even coming out there? I think no, and thus effect of them is really ruthless here. But who can tell about the whales sitting idle currently because this could be the right time for them to jump in and make the crazy movement. The prices can be other way around too and might be touching ATH soon. The time only will tell the truth mate, not the current news based analysis.

Well, i am not going to go with your view, and i don't think just because of the short term correction or panicking price movement we are going to see a downfall soon, no that's not going to happen for sure. I am expecting the bullish trend to continue again with a good speed by which we can easily see a those big price levels of $10,000 to $15,000 again and this i think this year a new all time high is going to be made by the end of december month.

Those are nice observations and thank you for sharing. Though, even with those in mind I just don't think the price will go below $5000 because I think many people won't want that especially the whales which would be most at risk. I just think people will pull together to avoid that from happening and try to reverse the trend ASAP.

Everything is possible. But I just hope that the prices take a turn around to even higher heights no one has ever predicted(Not necessarily a record breaking price). There are too may predictions that seem to scare some people off. Bitcoin will always increase after dip. Just know when to buy.

yes there is no doubt that anything is possible in trading. The bitcoin price can dump more and can return back to its highest price. But in current time it show that bitcoin price is not going to dump anymore and very soon it will regain its position, so investment in bitcoin in current time is no doubt too much safe and secure.

$4500 is too low. Mining costs over $6000. There is a huge support between 5800 and 6000 dollars.

I know that there is a possibility that this would happen, but according to the charts the major support for me of Bitcoin as in only at the levels of $5000 and I think it wouldn't go down to any level lower than that. But who knows? Maybe that would really happen we just have to wait and see it for ourselves.

You can say that $20000 was due to a lot of pump and manipulation in the market but that does not mean that true price of bitcoin is 4000$. Bitcoin has never fallen substantially below 6K and i think it will not fall below this figure.

Chart says it all and I also believe bitcoin will not lower than $5500 but because of volatility I’m still not sure about this. Big whales are really playing short and manipulating the price movement so maybe the OP is right but for me it doesn’t matter because I’m playing long and whales will pump bitcoin again in the right time.

I believe that this is just your opinion, i do not see bitcoin getting to 2000 dollars in my own opinion. No one can accurately predict the price of bitcoin as their are many manipulation in the market. Investing in bitcoin now is a great way of earning massively in the future if you hold for long. Let's see what happens in september

Have you considered if that is true you may actually be gaining more money in the long run when market recovers? Sure, a lot of traders believe we have not seen the bottom yet and the market still has the chance of going as low as $3k but who cares as this should be a chance for anyone who believe in this space and looking forward to more in the future, to accumulate. Opportunities like this only come once in a while, and you really do not want to miss out.

I don't believe Bitcoin will end this low but if it does I will be happy to buy more of it.

No, $6000 is so strong that it can't be broken by the bear. It is where btc is accumulated and tested many times but failed.

Accurately 5700$ is the most important support for bitcoin. This place has not been broken, In the next few days may Bitcoin will go down to test this price again. If it still can not be broken then maybe the market will start uptrend up as in 2017. But if 5700$ is broken then we will have to see Bitcoin at 5000$ or will be lower.

I am not a professional analyst. I have no way to give anyone an accurate answer, but I know one thing. If Bitcoin falls below $5000, the mining industry will stop!

If that strong support would be broken of $5700 basing on technical analysis then we might probably see those low levels but as of now we are seeing bitcoins price tends to rise up on $6400 as of this moment of writing.
It might test $6800 again if the gradual increase would still continue but no one knows if it would head up or just a typical rise up on this weekdays and suddenly dumped down again on weekends or on next week.
I have observed that price do play into those ranges which is really a good time for short traders but somehow its a risky thing.

Indeed, it's still not broken even though Bitcoin reached $5,000, I can say that $4,500 - $5,000 is possible, but I believe that Bitcoin will remain on $6,000, and I also believe that if that $5,700 is not broken, Bitcoin will start to uptrend like in 2017, but if it's not, I'll expect that it will be lower than $5,000.

It could really go to $4500-$5K but its possible that once we test that low, Investors will suddenly flock the market again and we will see good bounce after that bottom price. Right now, the $6K support is strong and we might see a good $7K run as well. We also should look at the bright side of that low price... good buying points for everyone.  :)

As far as the recent bottom prices are concerned that established after a recent numbers of pumps big or small, we noticed that around $6,000+ is really the level where the price shown us some significant support and a good resistance.

What does this mean? Meaning even at the hard bearish market, we can assume that the attempt (not a direct attempt) to bring down the price to at least around $5,000 have failed several times. With these, some people who wants to make an entry, considered around $6,000 as the bottom therefore we noticed some buying action resulting for a slight rise to what is the current price today.

What's next? We all don't know so better gear up and always be ready for whatever upcoming trend we will faced.

People are focusing a lot on the price and this because they think that the price should rise to $ 20,000, so as the price is not going up people get frustrated. But what if the $6000 corresponds to the current demand? No one to think about that.

All these technical forecasts rarely come true. I only really see that at the end of the year, bitcoin and the entire crypto-currency market rises in price and at the beginning of each year falls on correction. And I'm pessimistic about technical forecasts. A crypto-currency market can not, with its high volatility, repeat the same price movements every year. Each year will be significantly different from the previous one.

I think the bitcoin price will probably go down even further, maybe even down to the $ 2000 mark, you can see that the market is fluctuating and it is hard to predict, bitcoin prices are adjusting and Volatility is very strong, the market is showing signs of crisis. Currently the market capitalization is only $ 200 billion so I believe you should only invest short term at this point.

I dont think that their will be much difference in the market will happen if bitcoin price comes to 4500$ to 5000$ because what price you are telling is still possible because still market is in bearish mode and like you told what if ETF wont accept or make more postpone to november 2018,. then automatically traders will come to panic and market can free fall to lower level.

Your analysis sound quit plausible but I don't completely agree with you. I feel the worst time for crypto have passed, we should be looking at corrections upward. One simple reason that will convince you is the fact that Bitcoin and crypto in general are presently in the hands of believers as little minds have exited even with loss. So the true believers will do their thing well in coming months.

I think that maybe we will see a deep bottom around $ 5000, where we will expect a rebound. For whales are profitable to buy at the bottom and their volume purchase at such a low mark, they will give a signal to all that it's time to buy. At this point, the price will start to rise. I respect OP's analysation and as so are we have different speculations for this coming weeks. Certainly, everything might happen that can change the game but still nothing is uncertain now and all we can do is buy this dip and wait for the whales to move. It's really awful to think that all we can do here is to wait for them to move the market and watch them how they manipulate the price. But on the second thought, by just following them we can have a few profit and can be beneficial for us even in short term.

holders have little to no effect on the price. and most certainly they are not keeping the price up. how can they when they are not even involved in the market?!!!

what kept the price up was all those others who have been buying bitcoin when price was going down. those who were actually involved in the market with fiat in hand to place buy orders and execute them to return the balance to the market as there were temporarily more sellers.

additionally we never needed ETF to do anything. ETF came and disturbed every speculation and as long as it is around and the fear of it is in the market things will remain the same.

It seems to me that the price of btc will not fall below 5500 USD. The fact that the price change graph does not mean that the bitcoin price will show a similar movement. The market is always changing and with it the rules and irregularities of growth and falling prices change.

Yes, bitcoin does have strong support wall at the 5K USD rate and I guess it will always see its bottom at 6K USD no matter what happens or how hard it dumps in the market. People are ready to buy at 6K USD strongly and thats why when ever it reaches the bottom like this then there are more buy orders in the market as compared to the sell orders and thus filling up the market cap very quickly. Now you see, the market is already green after it reached from 8.000 to 6.000 recently because of the mentioned reason only. By the way I dont think that institutional investors are dropping out because they will be the first to buy at such low levels.  ;)

This could be true but, shall we have faith in the price that it would not be below $5k. Because if it would then many people will lose a lot on their investment.

I think that the support of $6k is yet to be broken since this bearish and bleeding days have been with us. If by September ETF is accepted then the rally may have started which will usher in the end of the year bull. But if ETF is postponed again  a new support will be in the offing then I am thinking of $5k. You can  still share your own view.

If Bitcoin drops to $ 4,500 to $ 5000 then it will not hit the record level of $ 3,000. We are seeing Bitcoin's stabilized price since the beginning of the year at $ 6000 to $ 7000 .

Where the market will go, no one knows except the exchanges. Perhaps this information is not available even to the general manager. Only the central core, trading in profit, decides where and why to move the market. So it's hard to guess how the forces will be deployed. But if you take into account that those who bought expensive do not sell cheaper, they will be kicked out of positions by a hike to the bottom.

I think in this month untill september the price of Bitcoin stay around $6000 to $7000 and then after decision of Bitcoin ETF the price will be rise to $25K in 2 month if that Bitcoin ETF approved, and will going down more to around $5000 incase Bitcoin ETF denied by SEC.

Not all of us are going to benefit from this,  just like what happened last year when lots of people decided to give up and price reduced very low that’s when it got pumped and by the time those that took a quit could return, those who had patience had withdrawn all profits and leaving late comers in a bull trap. I have also seen one analyst claim that the price will drop to $5000. I don’t have any problem with that as long as I’m very sure that price will rise again.
In August bitcoin managed to stay above $6,000 levels then why not in Stempber month also. I believe OP is just spreading some FUD and nothing more than that even he is sounding like warning all of us.

Nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency. Anything can happen. The prices of bitcoin can plummet more if more fud news are released. The price could reach that if the bitcoin ETF is rejected.  I believe price would get there.

Exactly! And for those who keep saying that the market has been testing $6K support and holding has forgotten it can test it again and fail. We all know how so many people in the past were so enthusiastic about a huge support at $10k and here we are! Like you said, anything is possible and as long as this is still a downtrend market, we can go lower rapidly at any time. The market may experience a short term movement upward, but I would not want to count on it yet for a bullish move.

Man this is not the first time I’m seeing someone say this and I will be happy if you can give me the source where you got this info from. I have always had in mind that very soon that price will drop dawn to five thousand dollars or maybe four thousand dollars plus after seeing a lot of people make that prediction when the price of Bitcoin was at the rate of eight thousand dollars and I think that is what’s happening now because the price is already down to six thousand.

Anything can still happen, so we cannot simply just right it off at all. On the daily chart, we are still trading below the MA50 and I would rather see us close above it before one would be able to say in the short term, the market may still have some form of bullish sentiment.

well, you can see if this speculation is a little wrong. in fact, the price of bitcoin for the month was $ 6k - $ 7k, even this month starting with a pretty good development. Well, I feel that the price of bitcoin at the end of this month will be even higher.

If 7100 or so provides enough resistance that it is enough to be considered as another lower low then the next lower low would put us around 6200 which would surely mean we would see a real low of about $5000 or less. Will this happen however? I personally think not, I suspect in a few days there will be a push to move bitcoin from low the 7000s to the high 7000s or even breaking 8000. That could signal a return of bull movements in Q4.

No one should rule it out but people get blindsided by their hope. The market recovers 10-20% and suddenly they think that 2017 bull run is around the corner. We've seen periods like this a lot already this year. It would be no surprise if another downturn is to follow.

ETF proposed and is subject for approval by SEC the price spikes to 8k, They hold and delayed the decision the price plummets down to 6k immediately after the said announcement, the hype continues to decline to this bitcoin ETF, don't expect the SEC to approve it instead be prepared for the incoming events and news that may shake the price negatively or positively, ETF can have a good impact but sometimes things don't happen according to our expectations.

You could SELL Bitcoin a Bit below 6 thousand but you could not buy it under $6K. I believe that this #1 cryptocurrency will be not rolling down and gain really much soon.

This did not happen, and the market is slowly recovering in September. In the next few days I think the market and bitcoin will continue to increase, marking the return of the bull market.

Looks like all of your thoughts about the Aug-Sept has come to an end where things are getting reversed that of your predictions. We are already heading towards the higher prices and thus we may end up with the bull run that is impossible to break one more time. I know that bitcoin has been up many times and today it is at the same level where it used to be last month and before that too and how it fell down rapidly afterwards. But this time things are completely different, as we are approaching the year end, the history is proof that crypto currencies have gone higher day by day nearing to the November. So lets just wait and watch and hope your predictions become even false as we approach the September end.  :D

I think this market is showing signs of good development in the early days of September and this can be seen as a new beginning of Cryptocurrency. I believe Bitcoin will soon rebound and may reach $ 10,000 this year so consider investing now before the opportunity disappears.

I am really thinking that Bitcoin do not goes lower than 6000$, because of his support.
Now is the first day of September and Bitcoin reach for a couple of months at the highest price, so there is small chance that you prediction will happen.

Mining Cost per BitCoin is 6500$ on an average. So 6000$ is a Decent Support Level.

Absolutely agree with your opinion, but I guess with technical analysis. Personally I expect that this correction of Bitxoin downtrend will end in next 7-10 days and it will continue to fall after the middle of September. IMHO we will see it below $4200 by the end of this year.

It can truly happen, even I have seen some news that bitcoin will go to 3K USD in this year. Such a bad crypto year we are passing! I don't think Bitcoin can go to 8KL USD in this year, maybe this year will end at 6K - 7K USD! But the question is, who is behind the bitcoin dump? Not big whales of course. Can it be the ETF/ SEC?

I dont think so Bitcoin will go to the that price because on the crypto market now dominance by Bitcoin more than 55%. Between all crypto Bitcoin is strongest now because just going down about 70% from highest price, but all altcoin was drop more than that include Ethereum. So many good news about crypto will coming, so demand of crypto will increase.

this prediction is almost correct. even now the price of bitcoin is at the end of the price of $ 6000. Well, but I hope, this is not something real. we won't know until the end of September, but this is really a tough year for those looking for cryptocurrency.

The figure of $ 5,000 is quite real for bitcoin, indeed, now this crypto currency has attracted the attention of such investors who know how to wait a long time, so people who do not cope with such slow growth come out.

Well, all of the comments of the members in this forum was just an speculations, that's why the market was unpredictable even the experts itself don't have any precise answer about what could be the price of bitcoin in the future. All are depends in the actual flow volume in the market as well. So, meaning the value in the above mentioned it maybe or maybe not to be happen.
