Do you have a preference for collecting tokens instead of selling them?
Currently in my wallet there are more than 200 tokens with different values ​​and I do not sell them every time it is listed. I keep them and watch them every day. I was fascinated by the fact that there were many tokens in my wallet and not paying attention to their price.
Do you think this is a crazy hobby?

Actually, it depends in token holders, it is up to us as a holders if we wanted to sell it or keep holding it. This also a case to case basis because some of us are immediately selling their tokens if it's already listed in exchange because for sure they needed it already therefore they can use it for supporting their needs. Actually, there good and bad effects in keep holding tokens for a long time because there are always the possibility that in the next few days it can has a much bigger value or in worst it be no value anymore so just think much better and be strategic so we can become successful in the future.

Collect and then store in your wallet ? I also have such tokens that are not even on the exchange and will not come out so I collect them too

We all have different strategy and interest and the decision of what to do with our token depends on us. If you think you can keep for a very long time in your wallet by collecting different token and they are not listed for exchange yet, you can continue and if you are in financial needs, you can sell any of then to take care of the need but I think keeping too much token is kind of risky because you do not know what will happen to it as crypto is unpredictable and if it is not a potential one, I do not see the need to continu keeping it in your wallet.

If you are aiming for profit, I think your way is not logical. If you just hold your tokens and coins and don't sell at the right time, you can never get profit. In my opinion, you can rise your chance by having a lot of different tokens, so that my recommend is that, always follow the prices and make your selling at the right time.

your hobby is very interesting and I hope that someday you will find a hidden gems in your token collection. but if you always swap the token that you have with eth or btc, then I'm sure you can fold the assets you have today.

Why on exchanges? you don't possess your own private keys from exchanges this a bad habit to securely store your own assets from the wallet that you don't technically own, store them from your own wallets that gives the private keys, use hardware wallets to secure them or use a cold storage device.

Unless you tell me you do this full time I will doubt how you can monitor about 200 tokens. Most are shit coins and it will be worthless if developers dump it and run off. The best to do is to sell the ones that you think is not worth holding.

It's really matter how much worth it per token. I also used to hold many only when the value too much down. Just for the hobby holding is not the great things. Just one good thing can happen just imagination if some tokens achieve really good price. Like many becomes so rich just by holding who knows same happen with you.

If you have been collecting the tokens through bounties and airdrops and you see they are actually having a value, that is very good. What you decide to do with them now or in the future of course is your choice and it is good you are getting tokens with value. That's really Cool having a 200 different coins is like having a chance to earn a big amount of earnings but if you don't sell it,  I think your hobby was really a bad idea because sometimes the currency that you recieved sometimes are getting fump and soon to be removed in a listed exchange. Every bounty hunter has their own perspective on how they token shall do with them. As a bounty hunter I collect my coins that got received from the projects I participated and wait the time to have value and see their potential in the market id should I hold to sell on it to have a good profit but it will depend on the token holders on their decisions.

I am in the same situation as you. I get excited whenever I see new coins received in my crypto wallet. If these tokens have different values and are listed in the  exchanges and you hold them and monitor them constantly, This is undoubtedly a good hobby and you will reap a lot of profits from it if you choose the tokens you buy well. If you buy quantities of these tokens with a few cents, you will earn double your investment, if If the value of one of these tokens goes up to the moon.

Its obviously unwise to eat your seed, but looking at this space, most projects are not up for long term operation. Some altcoin are highly valuable.  Most of the tokens are risky but if you find a good altcoin that could surge high then you can see a good result. Collecting token is good but i think it always depend on the kind of token and the poject behind the token, you need to research about the posible outcome of the token and its capability to rise in the near future, because tokens are different some token will rise and some may fall down in the near future so you need to choose wisely in collecting token for good.

There's no guarantee for results in this space. My greatest regret was selling out too quickly when I collected hydro airdrop few years ago, but I was also burnt last year for not selling my bcnex tokens and expecting the value to increase. Its just for one to discern the right project to hold and the ones to sell.

Even though its a wise strategy to hodl your tokens earned from airdrops and bounties. It's wiser to convert them into bitcoin or ethereum and hold. Most of those tokens from ICO's are not good for long term hold because the project development is not certain and others may back up after the money raised is exhausted.

Most of new projects will be death in one year if got no new progress. Because investors doesnt like to wait too long for a new project to developed a new progress. They want to see a ready product and want it to be ready to use. Some projects just cannot make it happen that why most of projects just died in a year.

I think you are not aware about newly launched altcoin’s roadmap, most of the altcoins are live around one or two years, after reaching goal they are just collapse their market, So if anyone want to make profit by holding altcoins they should be hold worthy tokens and they should be sold within the stipulated time, Otherwise rest assured you will lose your capital.

Yes you can do that and yea they paid you with their tokens, but they didn't list their tokens/coins on any exchanges that means they didn't give you any chance to actually sell the rewards you have gotten so far. That is why most of the bounty participants have so many leftover altcoins there because they don't have a place to actually sell some.

I used to be, but the strategy doesn't seem to be very effective. tokens usually die after 6 - 8 months and I realize I spent a lot of time and money on that investment. So now I work more meaningful, speculation and coin trends and that is better for my finances. You should also consider and change your strategy in the future.

I I believe the ultimate aim is to earn and have sufficient fiat to take care of one's bills. It would be out of place for one to have several valid tokens in the wallet and broke. One has to make provision for the needed fiat to keep one going. No doubt, some tokens could be set aside for investment purpose.

When I was a newcomer here in cryptocurrency, I always wanted to collect every coin that I see in the market because I assume the more coins I buy, the double the profit that I will get. But when I finally understand how the crypto market works, and not all coins will be able to give you profit. It is why I only bought coins that has a potential to grow and coins in the trend for me to earn profit.

Coins in the trend is not really a good choice to buy because they can be dumped at any time so just going with the moderate growth coins along with the total crypto market is better than sudden bump and dump coin.Anyway no one can make perfect decisions and everything can be learned from our previous mistakes.

In my own opinion, it is not a good hobby or idea when taking into account the nature of this cryptocurrency space. To be frank, I used to have such ideas where I hold tokens because i think they can do better but later on it dawned on me that I was making a terrible mistake because no coin is better than Bitcoin. I held many tokens I would have sold for good profits and it dumped on me and never rise, in some cases the team exit scam, this is also the case of many others in this space. So what I can suggest is, depending on the token, once you see a good price, sell it off and keep the holdings in Bitcoin or Ethereum, a good number are not worth it; if you really want to hold it, wait for dump and buy.. Also, if you are fascinated about them, selling 70-90% of a token is a good move while you hold the rest just in case the team have something up their sleeves.

Just a piece of lesson or just a piece of experience for you to be wary of whatever airdrops are you joining next time. i used to do the same thing before until i decided to dump some of them. its sort of a healing process, after holding some of the coins for quite a while i noticed there was no significant change in value and most likely there wont be in any future. its better to let them go now than to hold unto them, its exhausting to monitor such a large variety of tokens.

In almost 5 years, I have collected more than 150 different coins that are stored in my wallets. In some, there is no longer any hope for implementation, and some tokens still have not lost their relevance and can show good results in the final development of projects and in the stabilization of the cryptocurrency market. But to be honest, today there are such projects that after listing you can sell a token for a certain period of time, and then either the project dies or no one is interested in the token, besides, the price drops a hundred or a thousand times.

It's pretty safe to say that the possible reason why these new tokens from current recent projects dies is because there are too much of them popping out everywhere.
Lots of tokens to invest, lots of competition, that's why it cause most projects to die eventually after launching.

keep all coins in your wallet without selling? I personally would rather sell than keep, I don't just keep and keep lots of coins which then turn to shit in my wallet, so I've learned my lesson to never hold that many coins. while it still has a selling price, sell it immediately.

I am also proud that my ERC20 wallet contains 53 coins. I got it from a bounty project from 2 years ago.
But my pride disappears, when the coins in my wallet are worthless.

I can't imagine how we can receive a huge amount of different altcoins. By fighting for the last two years, I got only 3-4 altcoins and a few Ethereum ;D. Injective protocol wasn't legit to everyone, they changed their rules several times. Maybe it's their scan policy, that's how I lost more than 1-2 tokens. Without social and airdrops, I can't imagine 54 tokens in my wallet. In the next bullrun some of your tokens return you good profits. That's how your hobbies can help you.

Collecting token is now in cryptocurrencies is hard job then purchasing. Any body can collect token by taking part in projects airdrops or bounty. Airdrops are giving less coin then bounty. Bounties are really good to grab token as much as you want. There are many categories campaign going through a bounty. You can make most of it. I have work only 1 years in bounty or airdrops. Also makes good profit have many tokens in different wallets. So look at bounty or others type of promotional activities to grab some tokens.

I have that interest but just for potential projects, I don't hold rubbish tokens. Usually I will spend about 3-4 hours per day to participate in airdrop programs and I always hold those tokens for 3 - 6 months, waiting for good news and PUMP !!!

I believe most of these tokens you are refering to are not trading again on any exchange, most of these airdrops are useless projects and so it is better to convert them to BTC, Ethereum or even USD when they pump because it is possible they won't pump again.

Crypto currency is an a digital assets, which having a difference digital assets is a very good idea by holding them for a long time, which of them can change a story over night, keep holding while waiting for the prospect or the road map of the tokens.

Well each of us are different so do what makes you happy. I have few tokens in my wallet and most of them dont have value. If I can only dispose or exchange it in any valuable currency that would be great.

I dont want to go down this rabbit hole of yours again, I was just like you years ago and I regret not taking every opportunities that came my way at that time, here are few things I've learnt

1. Never hold new coins for too long because they aren't ever going to be like Bitcoin and Ethereum or top 5 altcoins, the chance of dumping is very huge

2. You can make profits out of 'not so good projects' but if you hold too long them will become useless and forever get stuck in your wallet

3. Crypto space is full of projects from unqualified devs, they built projects to scam and cheat people, these projects are just too damn many today

token and coins have its own usage as long as ecosystem already formed. not always token used for casino games, its depend on token utility it self. if token already have usage in their ecosystem, automaticly its price will rise smothly, especially if used as gas. when there is transaction , token will automaticly burned. users holding token because they waiting the moment its token will have high value.

The very first thing to know about the token before investing, if there's a good eco-system and there are businesses that caters the existence of certain project, for sure it will be developed and bring good benefits. There are so many project which are being introduced and continuously being developed from time to time, having a good communities and usages is the best advantage for your investment goals.

More than 200 tokens even as a junior member, when did you now start gathering the token or did you get that as a trader? I guess many of them are now of low value and probably you don't really need them for the moment, because when you are rich you care more about investing than cashing out. I would advise you get out some token so make some other physical investments maybe like properties, to safe your wallet against any heartbreak that could be caused by hackers.

I think this is a very crazy hobby. You can't follow all of this tokens announcement. Some could change their own coin when others could agree to swap another blockchain. 200 telegram groups or updates from social networks are quite impossible. You won't check your wallet everyday after 5-10 years, or maybe forget your wallet.
