Title: What you should learnt during this bear seasons.
Post by: popsywura on August 09, 2018, 12:45:46 PM
Crypto will bounce back no doubts. There is always period of boom and periods of depression for healthy balance.

Even in normal economics...There have been periods of boom and recessions. But things will return back soon. The question is what can you make out of the situation? What should you do and not do?

What you should be doing now is investing or buying and having a mountain of patience for the boom period.

What you shouldn't be doing now is selling. Sometimes things like this happens for good reason. At least if not for anything, it affords us the wisdom to appreciate crypto and be prepared to take our profits and run away...

I can't imagine seeing 50% in crypto and not selling anymore especially with very heavy capital invested.

The situation is very hard for the crypto currency users. The price of almost every coin has gone down and it is a situation of depression like 2008 recession. But I will show tremendous patient to my coins and will not sell them until the price goes up.

The bear market teaches us to be patient and hold the coins. It teaches us to believe that the market will recover no matter how low the price goes. It makes us more efficient trader who knows when to buy and when to sell.

As you said there will be particular time and period when crypto will bounce back and will continue its good progress, the thing we or people should do now is to extend their patient and research on things to do while waiting for it.

During 2008, the world economy has faced the biggest recession of the century but it was able to recover from that. Same thing is happening to crypto market as well. In this situation I would not at least invest in any crypto coins as it will be very risky for me.

We should have understood that we did not read or watch propaganda from the media because they have their specific purposes and we could become accomplices.

If cryptocurrency will ever come back to the original prices or recovery them, I will learn that you should never doubt in cryptocurrency market, and also I will Eventually believe that this is something trustworthy.

There's a good chance that "crypto" won't bounce back, because altcoins are crashing hard in their Bitcoin value. Investors start opening their eyes and they see that no one is using altcoins, that they don't deliver on their promises, that they barely have any development activity, that they suffer from bugs and poor design and so on. The world doesn't need thousands of coins, we need one good coin that is fast, reliable, stable, robust and used by everyone, and Bitcoin is this coin.

For this situation, is best time to buy, that's why we must combine real job and crypto, so we can buy more if have funds obtained from real work, but if our income is only from crypto, only hold we can do and wait until this situation over, i dont like cutloss so, hold is my choice.

I think what we should have learnt from this bearish market is that we should HODL because like many times before BTC has always recovered and always provided.

BTC is the mother of all cryptos and whole market reacts with the price movement of BTC. If you can follow the trend of BTC, you will be able to predict (in very few extents not always) the market. And like waves, BTC passes through bear and bull market.
Consider 2015. BTC price was below $400. And in 2017, BTC jumps till 20K !
So what is the buying point ? Will it go up on 2018? Or BTC is at bottom now ?
No one actually knows. Btc went to 20K from 4K in short time. And again it may go down from 6k to 3K or less.

I think no one should hold BTC for prolong period. Rather sell some of your BTC if you are already in a profit. And try to buy back at low and sell at higher price.
Nothing is obvious in crypto world.

IF BTC goes under 4K, this time will be considered as Bull run. So I learnt nothing special. BTC may go down further, so I do not consider the market as Bear market

Mostly can't agree with you. You are talking about scam and shitcoins or some kind of it, we have a lot of them. But there are many useful alts (Ltc, dash, xmr, eth and more) and some them do what they promissed and try to do smth interesting.
And i think we need different blockchains to solve different problems in our life, of course Not thousands, and we need a couple of hundreds to speculate like on classical market)

One thing I've learned is not panic selling during bear market. The more you sell the more you lose. Just relax and wait for the market to get back its track and ride the bull run.

The best thing to do during bear market is to purchase more coins for more profit in the future. Just make sure that you only invest an amount you can afford to lose and always set goals on when to cash out.

Bear market is just normal in the crypto market however this current year is kind of diiferent from the previous year where it had mostly experienced in a longer bear period. Probably,  investors were quite disappointed due to this long bear market with very steep dips. I would suggest somehow that in times of bear market,  investors should have to hold their btc and just wait for the right time to bounce back.

Hello,

We are in the perfect example where hold take all his sense. Market will surely go higher and even if we don’t know when the best choice is to hold.

Of course some people could take advantage of this situation and earn money while taking advantage of the waves but it is a few pourcentage.

For most of us, lambda trader without negative sense, hold is the best choice to do benefits in the long term. But also hold carefully chosen project with real potential.

Holding scam or only marketing token is bad choice.

Thank you for your good suggestion. You are right with your every single word. This is not the right time to sell everyone's hodl coin. Many people will buy crypto coins by selling their lands and things. Because they know they can recover with a massive profit from this. So, if you can, just keep buying good crypto coins.

Yup i agree with you because if the bear is coming people are preparing buy gift for there's loves one's and the ready to spent huge of money that's the reason economic growth in the bear month even they sell their asset.

Bear market is a season for holding your coins  and buying cryptos either btc or alts at a cheaper price this time. New and old investors should somehow consider this good strategy as this is what successful investors do in times of bear season and earn much greater profit.

I sold my bitcoins when it was 10,000 and I have never regretted of disposing it off for an ICO which is given me much return than if I could have hold it as bitcoins, and this is the main lesson I learn during the bear market. If I was still holding, my value of asset on bitcoin would have diminish.

Yes, I also agree that this coming bear months lot of investor's are waiting for this moment to sell their coins, as they hold in many months, because bear months is the start of the day that crypto currencies are starting to move up and slumps to rise up again to the highest level.

That is why it is important to spend what is necessary even if we are abundant with resources. We sometimes get overwhelmed of the blessings that we acquire which we end up spend it. However, we learn and be a better person every time we commit mistakes. For now let us be patient because sooner the market will rise again.

That a good thing to do. We must prepare our investment before the price goes high again. Do not be feared of the changes and losing of value because that will never happen as long as many are having it and also wait for gaining good profit. Holding will be worth for the long term and add more volume on what you are holding in every down of crypto that give in the market.

Very true.

Wise men will find it out eventually.
It is like a bargain now. So what else to do but buy buy buy.

They say it is too expensive before and yet they bought it. Those who have bought before at a 5 digit price can bounce back and be at ROI again buy buying now and waiting for maybe just a month.
There are just too much panic because of the ETF thing.

The current market situation is really worrying, especially a newbie like me. Rising and falling price movements are indeed a risk that must be faced in the cryptocurrency world. at present I am more restrained than selling tokens that I have, especially bitcoin. I prefer to buy coins that have the possibility of prices going up and doing short trades to get a little profit. We must be patient because the market will improve over the time.

actually during this bear season you should have learned a couple of things and none of them were "not selling" alone.
the most important one was to know not to fall for the altcoin pump and dumps and to never think the dumps of a pumped altcoin is just going to end for no reason.
and the other important one was to learn to detect the bottoms and not sell in the bottom but sell when you are before that bottom. of course that only concerns bitcoin and when you are a trader.

This is a very hard situation when a lot of investors are doubt the btc and selling their btc, so the prices is going down. But, in my view, it is just the beginning, the people will understand why we should use btc and why we should leave the gold and the cash. They will understand how easy to use and how save the btc. When they realize that. Then the prices will go up.

I learn simple things on this bear market that even if market price fall down we could still earn on it but letting our crypto increase its number. I had seen a predictable pattern on it and that is when market price goes a good market price increase it will followed by a market price fall down. Day trading will be more on like getting a simplier ways for now.

That is what I am learning from the bear market and keeping myself motivated about it.

I always think that if we are currently -40% to -50% down from the ATH prices then why not consider it as our future profits whenever the crypto currencies will start driving themselves to those ATH one more time. Now this is all about the time, we dont know when this time will come but it will surely come as heroic entry for our profits. We can at least spend that much time here if we are going to get such high profits from it. Thats all I think about the bitcoin and its bear market.

Bear season is a season for buying coins/tokens, because most of the coins are in the dip/reds. This is not a season for selling assets. If you have another capital to invest on, this season is the right time. And dont just invest on some coins/tokens just because they are in the dip, make sure that youve choose the good one and not the one who gives you a hard time in the future.

There is nothing to learn at this moment because we really don't know if there is really a bullish market that is waiting a head. Except if bearish can be monitor and can be detected then still holding our coins is the best strategy to learn but like Bitcoin price in which bearish market is really unpredictable too so i think there is nothing we can do in the future bearish but to hold and wait.

I remember when I first experienced such bearish market I got so frustrated that I panicked and sold all my coins for a huge loss. So, I tried to be patient this time and move my focus on to other coins.

Bear trend will continue well into 2019, that is a given so yes, you are correct. Selling now would be financial suicide and now we must do our best to hold and also if we can afford here and there, or do good trading, accumulate in this big down time. I am now looking at this time as an opportunity to leverage and grow my position, despite the downside in price and my portfolio values. Now we must grow the bag as it were and not give in to the Elites trying to steal our wealth from under our feet.

As of me i will go on buying or trading to earn mire tokens so that when it is recovered it will increases also as well but aside from that you can also create more opportunities and gain more profit as well as you had too many or a lot token that you can also get in trading so that when you sell it..the more you have the more you received.

It really gives room for a healthy balance if we have periods of boom and of depression,  one should learn not to be too greedy and sell some tokens off during a boom, it makes no sense to HODL indefinitely. The converse is true too-buy during depression

Yes I learned a lot regarding bear seasons. Since I started crypto around 9 months ago, I have learned a lot. I learned about not holding too much, but at the same time learned how to hold a bit until the price is right. I have learned that I should not be greedy when it comes to my holdings, because there’s a huge price to pay if market collapses. Just sayin’.

LTC will have little reason to exist when Lightning will get ladopted, its only hope is if there will be demand for onchain transactions. Dash is centralized garbage, XMR is cool, but Bitcoin might get pretty good privacy too, ETH is centralized and has tons of flaws, and again Bitcoin can eventually get smart contracts too. Alts that have some merit can be viewed as test playground for different features that can be implemented in Bitcoin.

Having hundreds of blockchains is not going to work, because blockchains need PoW to be secure, and small coins with niche uses can't gather enough PoW to be truly secure.

I think that there is much to learn about and you need to use the chance to learn from experts. To my mind, it is better to learn during such bear seasons than to lose such a great opportunity being lazy

You can trade in a falling market, but this is very dangerous. To earn in this market requires a certain amount of experience and luck.

Actually the market of crypto currency is very much volatile and this season has helped me to learn this again and it has also taught me that there is no 100% prediction in this market. Moreover investment knowledge is important together with experience.

Patience and using common sense are the most important lessons people should learn through the bear market. Fear will never give you profit.

In this unstable market we have already seen rising and falling of cryptocurrency value. There is always a chance that the price will rise. So I think in this period one can hold the cryptocurrency and wait for the right time to come.

From my point of view, I learned that during the bear season of bitcoin is to be patient holding my bitcoin. As much as possible do not sell it because it might suddenly price change from low to high price. So be wise enough to wait and to believe the process of bitcoin. I know all of us to that and we can not do anything but to hold because we may regret selling it when the price is low and we do not want that to happen.

It is my opinion that those who invested in cryptocurrency should not selling them at a cheaper price. Rather it could be a chance to make little investment and make profit in times when the price will bounce back.

Wish I cashed out some profits a few months ago so that I could buy back the same amount of coins for much cheaper. Anyway, we always learn from the past. I believe Cryptocurrency market will rise again and into trillions. I never panic sold my coins. I'll wait for the bull even if it takes 2-3 years. Let's see.

I think it is high time we took lesson from it. This cryptocurrency market is extremely volatile. One might encounter a huge loss if he/she is not patient about investment. Making the move at the right time will help to get profit.

Most of. altcoins are tokens. They will live and exist according to their project. Only the project and the demand for a token for this project will make a difference. It can not be said that most tokens are useless. We can see this only when this system is working again in two or three, or maybe more years. I believe that tokens in general are very useful for humans.

- You should learn to HODL like a boss!

- No emotions!

- Less reading FUD articles and watching stupid crypto youtubers, try to learn something instead.

- Invest more if you can and don't track the prices on CMC every single day.

Actually there are simple rules of investing:

-Don't be greedy.
-Take risk as you afford
-Buy from low price
-Sell from high price.
-Don't do all-in or all-out

In december I had 3 btc and it's cost was 57k dollars (my investment was 3,5k :) )

But:
-I was greedy
-I didn't sell from high price (10x from price when I make first buy)
-My strategy was all-in or all-out

I've lost so much and it taught me very important lessons. Now I'm following news, being patient, not doing all-in/ all-out, split risks. And I believe these lessons provide good profits to me.

That is why smart holding is so important, we cannot just sell our coins when market is in such down cause we could get something from just holding them in our wallets for a little bit longer.

Investors continue with their work so far, and I believe they learn patience and get rid of fear. You might be scared, but you have to know its removals and analyze the direction of Bitcoin's move to make the right decision.

I have learned to be patient and have also adjusted my strategies to adjust to the bear.  I have also put aside bounty hunting and airdropping as there is no value left for the hunters and have gone 100% into trading.  I think one must be more nibble in the tough times.

I try to no look to prices in my exchange account too often. I open it only once per month just to see if the rally still hasn't started yet. When bears rule, just have some patience. And you will see after one maximum two years, you will get your hard earned money.

One thing I've learned during this bear market, and that is we should not panic selling at this moment. The best thing to do during bear market is to purchase more coins for more profit in the future. I would suggest you everyone that in times of bear market, you should have to hold your btc and just wait for the right time to bounce back.

- Deal with losses - invest the money you can lose
- Do not hodl pointlessly - always think of the best choice
- avoid scammers - if it's too good to be true it is probably a scam
- think in long-term - if you believe in crypto think how big it can get in 5/10/20/50 years.

Encouraging.

I advise that most of the newbies that can't take to see their portfolios read the message of the OP.

It's very essential for a market to have those times of down before it goes up. I liked what he said and newbies can easily understand that this fall means a lot if they try to understand it.

Yes.That's still the best thing to do even if the market continues to drop.Grab the chance now to keep on buying bitcoins and even some good altcoins while their prices are still cheap.I personally do that because i know time will come that this bearish season will be over and hopefully bull run will soon to replace it.

I have learned a lot in the market in recent days. With a volatile market, buying and keeping makes us lose money unrealistic, in days like these we can only buy and sell in the day can make a profit.

The number of pessimistic peoples are larger than optimistic peoples in crypto. So, there must be more peoples selling in this bear market and leaving crypto.
As a long term investor, i am not see the current market as a real price. It will be bounce back to normal price at least.

This time gives us time for shortness of breath, after the last jump and prepare for the future jump. Those who did not buy coins to be bought. Those who want to earn coins, participate in the bounty and get a reward. Also, you should study the charts and the exchange market correctly. There are a lot of them now . you need to verify all exchanges for fast and mobile work with them.

A lot of the new investors that put money into crypto during January are unwilling to wait out the bear market.  Crypto veterans know that this is just another normal cycle before we reach new all time highs again.
