Cryptocurrency has three types of markets trends:

1. Bullish Market
2. Bearish Market
3. Flat market.

Now, we are experiencing bearish market and it's a temporary and usual pattern.
Bullish Market will definitely take effect.

It's normal for those that know and those that do not know, stay calm
Just like having winter or spring or summer seasons Or Dry or rainy seasons.

There is just 1 out of 2 actions expected of you right now....

1. Wait for the bearish market to sell off and bottom before you buy back more.... because those cryptos will be cheaper to buy in

Or

Just leave the market entirely and go do other things....looking at it can get you upset and tempt you to make unwise decisions like selling off your cryptos in losses.....very unwise step. Do not sell. Just hodl.....do not panic sell.

For me.....selling pressure is still strong...... definitely I will buy more to my holdings....

I think that the bull market will come when everyone stops waiting for growth. It will happen in about 1-2 years.

If it is really as you said, then I can think of it like our life, all seasons, spring, summer, autumn, winter. Now that it is a bearish market, sooner or later it will come to a bullish market. Let us continue to wait.

to me if you don't sell how would the market make increase for bitcoin to grow back to normal price, it's the buying and selling that makes the market to rise again, so if everyone decided to hold how do you think bullish will come after the bearish.
to me they all depends on each others
just as right hand and left hand, in essence they all assist each others but in a way were by left hand or right will be active (working) don't you know it will surely active the hand because no assistance from the other hand.
likewise to crypto if you have been expecting gain all the time well i most say it can't never works that way because as a business man you have to withstands any challenges in business loose/gain.

sometimes I close the market exchange in my browser for a few days because I see the price still in the low price and not going to increase in the short time. so I do other things to not thinking about the market only because I cannot do anything with the market right now and if I trade, I only trade in a short time and after making a profit, I leave the market and withdraw the money ;D but I always set my alarm so I know when the price reaches the price that I want and I can make a buy order for the coin.

The market condition just depends on us,if we can hold our coins while the prices were falling the condition will soon turns it into an bullish trend from bearish.But for now the market is just oscilatting in some range so we looking for a flat market.

I think selling around ath, even half of ath is okay before bear market is better. Holding is good but I think this crash was so clear that many holders may did so.

If you said flat market it will never oscillating in anytime and if you consider as flat it is totally wrong prediction because current situation is bearish market is just enter into market.
But we do not know how many year this market is continue in bearish market.

Now of course in Flat market. And this Flat market will continue for a long time until people lose interest in cryptocurrency.But I feel that this year’s second Bullish Market may be coming soon.

I personally think that we are not either in a bullish nor bearish phase the market seems more like in a consolidation phase especially if we take btc into consideration and usually high growth is expected after consolidation, so i hope we are near that time.

remember to always change your fear and panic into luck, because if the selling pressure is very strong and the market gets worse, then that's your chance to have assets at a low price.

I don't think this is the right analysis in market terminology. Cryptocurrency market is just like any other market (maybe with little variations , whales etc) that operates with the law of demand and supply that says; the higher the demand, the lower the supply and the more a commodity gets scarce, the more valued it gets.

In clear terms, hodling should make bitcoin increase in price because it makes it scarces for people to get. So your analysis might not be totally correct given the laws of demand and supply.

Op has given a description about the bullish market, bearish market and the flat market. However we examine we cannot conclude what kind of market situation is prevailing at this moment as the fluctuations of cryptocurrencies were takin place leading to fall in value as well to growth in no time.

selling pressure is strong that is true, but is this good time to buy!  last 4 weeks btc was goes up and down around 6275$. it may go down or up based on the news. if btc went further down then you will in deep trouble with your investments.

It is good for beginners to understand that if crypto market goes up, it will come down too. Knowing this will make a trader to adjust himself in time of bearish market. Even in bearish market, a margin trade can be place with a short selling strategy.

The last major bear market was 14 months and there was much less going on in the space then. Given we are already 8 months in, I would be amazed if it lasted another year, let alone 2.

Yes, we have to find the real value, market is in a consolidation phase, everything is preparing, updates, investors - everything is coming, but this progress is slow so that is why crypto investments are long term.

I came into the crypto currency in February and have only witnessed majorly the bearish market

Yeah I agree with you on the types, currently we are experiencing bearish market condition and this is a good time to buy some altcoins and hold until we enter into bull run, so for those that are worried, you just have to patient and hold your altcoin until market turn to bull run

The only thing that should be taken into account is that crypto is (relatively) new and definitely not the same as regular equity markets. Much more volatile and also many issues due to lack of regulation (which nobody wants, but may need it to be able to stay safe from nasty folks stealing your hard earned money).

I'd say you're right that next up should be a bull market...but this could take days, weeks, months or even years to arrive again. Nobody knows, no matter how positive reactions are to stuff like ETF and such.

I see this as a whale game, and have a feeling that big investors are still not satisfied with their holdings. Not in BTC, not in Alts....they are still very much accumulating, and so am I....

All of these markets are correct the way you mentioned them and they often come one after the other. Which is why you see that the bear always comes after the bull market. Because in a market, once bitcoin or etherum is bearish, definitely all tokens suffer decrease in prices

Which means that altcoins can increase or decrease without affecting etherum or  bitcoin prices
But altcoins suffer or gain when the trade pairs (bitcoin or etherum ) reduces or increases respectively

Bitcoin has a dominance of over 50% in the market, and that is what they should be. Altcoins can also move according to their innovations, but it does not take long to get back on the trend.

By to see the growing of total marketcap of crypto. Actually from 2011 until now the total marketcap growing fast, and currently the market cap is about $140 Bn and this number still very small compare stocks market. So my point is bull market very potential to come again because the market cap of crypto has probability to be multi trilliun dolar just like stocks market.

The advice I am giving people is not to get greedy and always take their profit off the table

Basing on the current market situation today, Its safe to say that bull run may really take longer before it will visit the market. If you take a look at the historical data, Bitcoins value always rise on the 3rd year after it settles for a certain price. Next year will be the 3rd year after the ATH fell so hard, and I am hoping for the same trend as what the historical data is telling us.

you have points there pal because in fact that's the common reason why nowadays market growth rate  increasing gradually  wherein because of some people that keep holding after the positive news.  For me if people didn't rely on FUD's news for sure growth rate now is keep growing and breaking new record and perhaps its now very popular on other countries that doesn't believe on crypto markert potential.

We are still in the bear market, but we already see the flat market that happens to bitcoin. I think in the altcoin market, we are seeing a little bull market which is shown by so many coins that were trying to increase for a small price. But after the bear market is ended, then it's the time for the bull market to show the power and we can come back to make a big profit again.
But sometimes, I leave the market because I cannot see a good price to buy and I think it's better to take a rest for a while and I am sure that the market will move in the next days.

Bearish market is indeed taking a long time already, and it most likely this condition will stay for a bit longer. Because the market are still in a bad shape up until today.

Bearish or bullish won't affect us until we sell our holdings,while holding altcoin we need to be careful and it is better to sell those altcoin at the beginning of bear market and buy later when the prices reached out bottom.

One of the problem I see with this bearish market is because of divided attention created by too many coins springing up everyday, it is not that weak hands are holding BTC and ethereum, infact major big time investors are still the ones keeping the prices at the current rate, but I feel a lot of coins coming out on daily basis giving people too many options to choose from are the major cause.

Just think of that we have only bitcoin and ethereum, do you know we have lots of investor that has money in other coins and not BTC and ETH, now come to think of it, what if there was no other alternative, wont everybody pump their money into BTC or ETH?

It is not only the week hands that are dumping or selling at loss at the moment. There are even experts and those who understand the market, manipulating by selling at any price that suits them. They can manipulate the market by selling low. Therefore causing others, most especially the newbies and perhaps those who want to take profit to also sell low.

You never explain the flat market stated as third one in the cryptocurrency market.

Though the market is becoming flat in some coin and some are getting close to the bull as we are seeing 100%+ gain in some coin while some still remain and  dragging in one stage for long now to also surge before it see bull .

I also encourage us all to buy in to any coin of our choice now as the price today is still very much OK to buy even if it go below it but definitely will give profit soon.

We are still in a bearish but slightly flat market at the moment the bulls are having a hard time breaking the $4200 barrier and i think this will continue for a week or so. For me i will just be calm and just hold because the bulls might start the run anytime soon.

Indeed this cycle type of market continue to be always, we was on bear market last year and now we are on some kind of bull market with some flat period, but i think strong that next year we will have a bull run.
