I was thinking of buying ethereum now at a price of $ 300 and I want to hold it until the end of 2018.
what do you think?

I think it is very underpriced now, and may rise more with pos. It is one of the coins should be bought now.

something still tells me that ETH can fall hard once again and this big jump up in price is also making me very uneasy. i bought some at the bottom after the dumping recently was ended but i dumped it after i got the small profit that i was looking for because of that uneasy feeling.

and the main reason for that feeling is that i believe ETH went up to $300 because bitcoin went up to $6500 otherwise it would have never went up that high.

in any case i am happy with the profit that i have received from this pump. i will buy back only if i notice any pumping signs on the way.

What will happen in 2019 if ethereum stay at the same price, or even  in the worst case scenario,  it decreases in price.  I think ethereum is a good altcoin but many competing project are coming up and ethereum must solve it's issue in other to remain the preferred!

I think ETH might be a good buy at that price. Even though we're currently in a bear market, I think we're going to see a small pump in this market once the Bitcoin uptrend starts due to the ETF hype next month.

It's hard to say if the next uptrend will last until the end of the 2018 or early 2019, there's a high chance that you could make some decent profits in the next couple of months, so don't wait until the end of the year to cash out, keep an eye out for next pump.

Exactly. ETH is a good buy at this point. Actually the best time is when the price went < $300 a few days ago. But you are not late in the party,  You can still get it right now and hold and see how it goes on the first quarter of 2019.

I haven't followed ETH lately so I'm not sure what's the reason behind the dip. I can only speculate that its either investors are cashing out or they sell ETH to buy other coins.

ICO's funding using ETH will still continue and I believed that it will continue to rise in the next coming years and that interest will still be there that's why ETH price will likely recover next year.

Besides bitcoin, no other crypto comes close to the daily trading volume of ETH.   This shows how widely it is used.

Good day! This is the best time to accumulate ethereum. I don't worry holding mine for a few months more. I don't want to pass this change to buy more if I can. No other alts can surpass it as of now. Ethereum traffic only proves that many are using ethereum.

Buy and stick to your original principle to hold it until the end of 2018 because I believe it will be very good after a deep decline like now and for some time the ETH tries to recover so that you don't waste the opportunity in the near future, don't care too much about people others because that only predictions are not something real and miracles can happen without the knowledge of all of us, maybe longer until mid or end of 2019 I think it will be better than now.

I was thinking the same too, but I'm skeptical on whether ETH could still fall hard down to $100+, which I think its way too low to be considered the bottom. Maybe it could still touch $250, just wait a little bit, the market seems started to fall again lately. But, $300 is somehow a reasonable price already, considering the fact that ETH is a potential x5 coin in the next bull season.

Go ahead while the price is still affordable and i was able to buy when it was above 200+ usd, sounds profitable for me in the long run, because i would surely hold this for many months, i just hope that in the coming years ethereum is still valuable hahaha, so what if, it is not..So its a big loss for holders like me.

That's a good idea hold more Ethereum while it's cheap now more holdings more profits to come..i think by January all alts price will go up together with bitcoin so save more Ethereum for better profits.

I think that is the best strategy to get more profits by year end as this could rise higher at that time. Current price of ethereum is much cheaper than the previous month and investing today is the right time.

Why only at the end of 2018? If your plan fails and sees no increase until the end of the year just extend it to another year and so on. Its your money so you can decide for yourself on whats the best thing to do. Buying ETH while its under $300 is a good buy as of now.

I think this is the great choice maybe you can hold your coins until after the end of the 2018 so 2019 quarter 1 or quarter 2. I held my coins around one year and I think I will hold my coins one more one year. We can earn so much money from cryptocurrency. We should invest to altcoin and bitcoin now and should HODL.

Its not such a bad idea after all  the dip I  think  has  reached its bottom.  I guess its  on its way up already but there might just be another dip that might happen.  I could be wrong but there are people trying to pull the  price down so watch for  it first and wait.  maybe you can  get more ETH.  I have bought at $440 actaully but I might be able to buy  more if it dips again.

Ethereum has not been really impressive at all in the past few weeks despite the great prospects associated with it. The best strategy here is to as much as you can and relax for next year because I don't see much happening with it as far as this year is concerned. Attention should be on next year actually. Look at what happened last month even when Bitcoin momentarily recovered, Ethereum never got to follow suite.

Etherium isn't the long term play... You guys should look at the competition these days which are doing things better and more constructive. Bitcoin is a great store of value, but Etherium is blockchain 2.0..blockchain 3.0 could be an ecosystem which is based on governance, kinda like what the DAO wanted to achieve if it wasn't hacked.

The choice to invest in ETH is a wise choice at this stage because the price of ETH has dropped a lot since the beginning of this year. I personally believe in ETH because their technology so far is great and I always see ETH as my brother and has helped me to have a better life up to this point.

I think this could turn out to be a superb investment, just imagine that you buy eth under 300 mark and eth reaches its previous high levels of 1400 in next 3-4 months, you can seriously make rediculous sum of money with eth if you are in for some months.

Ethereum looks in really big deep and in my opinion it's good opportunity to buy and hold ethereum for long. Ethereum is still preferred by so many upcoz blockchain projects.  The demand will always be high due to large number of ICOs being launched the ethereum smartcontract and this demand will always help ethereum to recover it's ATH value.

ETH is in a downtrend with BTC, we can not easily get more profit in this year because ETH can only rise if investors use more money into altcoins to pump the market, so i think we should keep holding ETH for a little longer until next year, we may have the chance to see the price goes up when the market recover.

This is the right scenario. I have done the same. In next two months hopefully we will see bulls in the market and next year hopefuly we'll be able to  compensate this years loses.

$220- $250 could happen if investors lose confidence in this market as most of the major investors are showing signs of panic and can not say anything. I think that buying ETH is a great decision, particularly at the current price. But I would say hold it longer than that if you want significant price increases. 2018 hasn't been great so far, and there's no real indication at the moment that prices are going to increase any time soon.

It's definitely underpriced at the moment relative to the rest of the market. I would say hold longer than the end of this year though, end of next year would be better - but that goes for all of crypto really, prices for good coins are likely to continue to rise as adoption increases.
