Blockchain is a good technology that will be use as a tool of transparency to every transaction being done. The government should know and develop a system like this on their system. This will eradicate corruption or transactions being made under the table because there will be a transparency on every transactions and how much money is involve. The budget of the people will be obviously utilize to its intended purpose. Would you agree with this idea?

But we can't expect a corrupted government to take steps for anti corruptions. :D

As you said the blockchain can be used in all the transaction for the government related which can help us to have corruption free transactions but the politicians need to implement this system but if they do then they can't make money anymore so they will never do this. :(

Many governments are looking at this option. Since the blockchain is relatively new and is yet to prove itself through time, it's only wise for the governments to wait a little and watch how it evolves. At the moment, many researches are being carried out about ways to implement this seamlessly without causing a hitch.

But all the governments  are not corrupt.  There may be few / some governments which were not so honest so the funds were being diverted to their own pockets.  But When an honest government comes to power and strictly ensures the reaching the benefit to deserved entitled one: then the results are very much amazing.  
In past four year Indian Government took decision not to pay the social welfare benefit  payment via fiat.  It ordered crediting their accounts and in four years Rupees 9000 million were saved because these were going to the corrupt people may be without the notice to the top leaders previously.  

So it depends on the intentions of the Governments.  If they really want to progress their country; they will have to accept digital based transactions system.  

This is so right! How can we expect them to do it when they really don't want us to see what they are doing in the senate? But for sure I hope that there would be a time that it will happen.

Bitcoin is the new form of economy with the strong net work systems linked with the block chain technology.Te block chain technology ensures its security systems and the clarity.We can adopt and  implement the block chain to the  Banking and other Administrative services of the various government departments so that we can avoid corruptions and the malpractices.So we can say that  the invention of the bitcoin to the century is an outstanding one and hence its usefulness is increasing day by day.

How ironical would this be, central governments trying to use blockchain technology to fix or prevent corrupt officials. This will hardly see the light of day as these officials who should approve the implementation are corrupt themselves. You can't implement a system that would fight against you.

You are right, I support your opinion. However, the problem of corruption is not about the system only, it all are onthe human itself. The more government implement a policy to eradicate corruption, the more corruption will raise. It is cause of human nowdays are losing their mind and their morality, they will do anything to be rich and get anything. Even though Blockchain is implement in certain country to eradicate the corruption, however, if the human is not realize that it is a crime and immoral action. The corruption cannot be avoided or stop.

Since bitcoin(crypto) are not legalized in some countries also this your proposal may be not effective because as of now it is hard to implement this law to the government since bitcoin was against to them. But who knows it will happen, time to time bitcoin users will be having regulation to the government and blockchain is a part on that as well.

I was speaking from long time but no one believe the usages of cryptocurrencies and blockchain integration on sending and receiving payments. So far many government get panic only about the cryptocurrencies usage.
If the payment reaching the government with the single address nothing there to loose fund or corruption. If these things takes the streamline then corruption will not occurs.

I cannot guarantee that if the government implements blockchain will reduce the number of corruption, just the opposite. because the state cannot control blockchain technology unilaterally, unless every wallet address creation is required to identify the KYC application.

Lol, but that is true, that is why bitcoin was created as a decentralized entity, I do not have any hope that the government is going to self regulate, if they could do something like that they could have done it already but the fact that corruption keeps going means that they benefit from the current system and how it works since they can keep stealing from people.

And this bring us to another great characteristic of bitcoin, since bitcoin cannot be printed by governments whenever they want, it means we are unaffected by their corruption at least in monetary terms, if they want to steal money by taking money from the taxes or by printing that money we are still good since we are holding bitcoin and their actions cannot possibly affect us since we are not holding fiat.

This is a great idea. But  sometimes members of the government are involved in corruption themselves.Pprobably thats why the blockchain is not yet implemented everywhere.

Yes.It will be the good idea to exploide corruption in Government.But I had some doubts, whether the corrupted Government involve in this activity.We can easily get the every transaction of the allolated money.The Executive can't escape from the expenses documents.It can be easily found by the transaction.The government officials should give proper reason for every transaction.So this will help to prevent corruption.

Yes this also one of the reason for invention of decentralization but still governments were finding some way to restrict the usage so we need to understand that governments can only restrict until we use that exchanges when we started using wallet and spend crypto as crypto it is hard for them to track.

Yes, since blockchain is a transparent and secured ledger system then I think its good that government should adapt blockchain technology but its not a good idea for a corrupt politician and goverment employee for it will affect their self interest and probably affecting their profits from corruption.

No, they won't do that. Government really wants a corruption society. Most of the officials use their position just to steal the treasury of the people. They will never make steps that will control their shaddy activities. But it will be possible if a certain administration wants a total devastation when it comes in corruption. But then, there is no such thing as a good official.

Corruption can't be prevented but probably there is a chance to minimize. Blockchain technology gives the people a better and safer services but it is not the best solution to prevent corruption. We should accept the reality that the world that we livin is full of corrupt people.

This is a very good idea. But the corrupt governments wouldn't want a transparent blockchain system.

I cannot really blame them, they are trying to protect their self interests and it's obvious that they do not like something like bitcoin because it takes power away from them and since they are realizing that they cannot kill bitcoin then they are going to try to regulate it but even that is going to fail, because what are they going to do if people really adopt bitcoin and begin to use it to buy all kind of products and services?

If that happens then no amount of regulation is going to be enough, you will always find a person willing to accept bitcoin in exchange for products and services and when that happens there is going to be a significant number of people that are going to abandon fiat completely.

We can't expect our government to promote blockchain for the sake of transparency due to some of them if not all are corrupt and doesn't want their transactions to be transparent to their subordinates.

I agree to this idea where people is free to view on what's the progress of budget allocation or any specific use for blockchain to the government.

But sad to say that as early like this one, I can't see that this can happen. It's not about the usefulness but many are going to subject against it because their moves will be limited and they don't want people to see anything that lies inside the government. Some government wants real service to the people but if there are few officials that will go against it, this will unlikely to operate.

As much as blockchain would help fucking the damn corruption,it won't happen. Corruption exists because of the damn government. If its not, Government  would have already taken measures to curb it down.

China is the perfect example of how anti regulations don't work to bannish crypto from the legal system. It made people switch to pure peer to peer trading which is the best way to avoid being subject to any government.

Funny is that China is now looking to step up their game by forcing popular payment apps to no longer process crypto related transactions. They're trying to use everything to stop crypto, but it's not working.

For the first time there isn't something governments can do to completely combat an emerging industry/technology, and people really start to notice that. Crypto is their way to more freedom, regardless of where they are.

There will always be loopholes that can't be fixed with blockchain technology. Corruption is rarely as simple as taking money from the government budget, corrupt officials always run money through some schemes to mage them appear legit. Take one of the most common schemes - kickback, it completely bypasses the blockchain because the bribe can be paid off chain, while he deal itself is completely legal and public.

I agree with this idea, with the blockchain system, the money used by the government can be reviewed directly by the public. but it does not rule out the possibility for corruptors to commit corruption they will do everything they can to gain instant profits.

The blockchain would only be implemented in one part of the government system. Corruption can still be done outside of the blockchain's records, between persons. For example, how would you stop bribery if they're not going to get noticed anyways?

While a public ledger of transactions could be kept, it would also invade the privacies of the individuals within the country unnecessarily. Besides, cash will most likely not be replaced by such national currency that easily. Corruption will occur regardless of what currency, system, or database people use.

The problem is, corrupt governments have no interest to develop or use any technology that would hide their corruption. They would rather "change" that technology to their benefit and then ban all other technologies that would endanger their empire.

We see this with all the "private" Blockchain technologies that are currently under development. They want to control the hosting of the nodes and they want to have full control over the development of the project. Once they have the control, they can "remove" specific transactions that could implicate them in corruption and they can block access to their "private" Blockchain.   ::)

This is really a great idea. Any sincere government looking to stamp out corruption should totally look in this direction. But as we very know, the governments in most countries will not consider this. They wouldn't want to seal off their loopholes into the general treasury. I'm looking forward however to the first countries that will implement this. I would really like to see how things turn out. I won't be shocked though if after implementation things don't take a dramatic change. We humans always find a way around checks and balances. But at least then, it would take some smartness and intelligence to do away with government funds.

Exactly. And It is actually doable, specifically on public Blockchain . It's being tried on Virtual level (Virtual nation) and it's showing lots of promises.

I believe that society should adopt blockchains on systems that require more transparency accountability. Social organizations, NGOs, institutes and universities. With time private organizations should also. Such popularization of Blockchain's use would eventually force all governments to adopt it.
A great example is the PineapleFund. To this day we can track and know where the resources were. And if the use in local commerce was already established, we could know how it was spent.

I think it is not that easy for the governments to adopt blockchain easily reasons being they might not like their ledger being public even if their blockchain was private somehow the term immutability is not preferred, they like to change"rig" things around frequently.

This can probably help on minimizing or lessening the corruption in a country but we cannot totally eradicate it since where there is money, there can always be a possibility of corruption. Blockchain technology is new  technology and its true blockchain can create transparancy on government service. I am believe in next few years, many government will implemented blockchain technology to make their service more eficient. Banking already make announcement they will use blockchain technology to secure their customer and data transaction

Transparency and accountability has been one of the major challenges being faced by most underdeveloped and even some developed countries.

For so many countries, development has been lacking because of how corruption has dug in so deep into the root of the system and to be able to get into play, a technology that would disrupt a lot of things, fold their hands and put it into place as well as bring about some huge level of transparency and accountability, it must start from the top, which we both know will be hard to achieve if those there at the helms of power are corrupt themselves.

In my country, the government banned crypto because of various reasons( They are corruption and they can't control it). And corruption always exists in every developing country It is therefore very difficult for these countries to apply blockchain to fight corruption

Corruption is the main reason why government are trying to banned bitcoin or cryptocurrency because this technology can really monitor every single transactions. For sure, government will not use blockchain technology because they can no longer make under the table transactions. Hopefully, every government will just support this technology so everyone can enjoy blockchain technology.

Corruption is inevitable, government will always steal money from the people by placing taxes on their salary and different products and assets that is being sold on the market.

A good idea and useful for the progress of a country. With blockchain all will record and verify the data is open to the public. But it will not be easy when many corrupt officials or organizations in the country because your ideas will be prevented for various reasons and even created a rule to reject this, because they have power over it

First you have to get rid of the corruption and corrupted individuals before deploying blockchain technology. Although it can help, you first have to figure out your way out of corruption. corrupted individuals will just corrupt blockchain technology and there would be no transparency. Government will implement it sooner or later but it won't be to eradicate corruption or there would be only an illusion of it.

Maybe that can work for a government that is truly ready to rid it from corrupt practices. Blockchain technology adoption by the government will be a good step to huge development, but as things are, everything still balls down in its entirety to the government perception.

Just like you said, humans are bound to find a way around. It would be a great development though if the government is prepared to do something like this, but we know it would be a hard thing for them to accept but adopting the latest technology will become a mandatory thing to withstand against the new requirements.

If it is to eradicate corruption, blockchain technology is very appropriate because it is transparent, but what we have to look for is how this system is implemented in the country for various reasons this system is still banned in various countries.

Government is linked with big whales so it is not implement possible to implement in banking sector. But finally crypto is occupy the banking sector and it takes more time so current situation we don't expect this Blockchain technology because corruption is enrolled in entire world so it is not a simple task. There are many ways take by the Government to eradicate and decrease the corruptions. Such a way to prevent and to judge the subjects. Law say that corruption is an extra ordinary crime because it has a huge impact to the Country. However, the more government prevent and judge the subjects, the more cases of corruption raise in many country.

To me, corruption is not only an extra ordinary crime, it is immoral case that means people have completely lost their mind and morality. Therefore they such never think over doing corruption. It is needed also to raise and engage human morality.

Stop it! Do you really believe in what you are talking about? As soon as it happens most part of the officials must be arrested because of a corruption. I am absolutely sure that the government will not become using any crypto technology schemes because the officials are not crazy to harm themselves. Using the crypto technologies in the government is just our dreams which are impossible for implementing. You need to know that any activity will be tracked in case of using crypto technologies for the government and anyone will be able to see and examine any step or decision of the officials. Of these, the real cost of the service is 48 million, then 9 million company-executor gives cash bribe. How will the blockchain give you a real estimate of the cost of the service?

Do you really think that government will try to do that. Most of the government bodies are themselves corrupt one and they will never implement such system where they themselves are going to be exposed. Also you may think that bitcoin or other crypto will provide full transparency of transactions but its not possible at all. The bitcoin transactions and other transactions all are very much pseudo anonymous and hence they may be tracked upto the certain limits but not beyond that. You can know very well from where the transaction is getting sent and where it is ended up but you cant really know who is behind those transactions. May be this will be difficult to track at all.

I do not reckon that is a good strategy. The government is corrupted itself. Even if it is all about transparency, the government will find a way to make it seen. Added to that, there are many criminals who are using blockchain technology. So, I think it will be advantage for them if the government implements the blockchain system. Well, maybe that can be the needed remedy for the corruption that is happening in many countries all over the world. However, you must also consider that these men who do it are pros in terms of finding ways to hide what they are doing. Therefore, even if cryptocurrency transactions have the features and characteristics to help in resolving corruption, it can always be adjusted and reworked in such a way that it can be used without in corrupt means without detection. We should remember that one of the features of cryptocurrency transactions is its privacy, and so, if that could be exploited, more so than helping stop corruption, it can help it grow even more.

Lol, "goverment does something to prevent corruption", good joke. They could have prevented corruption for the past century if they wanted to , they don't want that, noone wants to stop corruption, they are making TONS of cash thanks to listening to corporations or directly improving their own lifes. Why would they suddenly get up and say "we should stop getting rich like hell and start living a lot more poorly and not make any money and work for only the good of the people", thats not politics, thats charity, politicians are not in poltics to help people out, they are in politics because they want to get rich quickly and gain power and dollars, thats all.

Right! Normally all these so called greedy politicians who care only about themselves will want to find it hard to accept the idea of government implementing blockchain technology since this would bring about a huge level of transparency and will make them accountable for every single thing. If government wanted eradicating corruption to a maximum extent they would have done that even without using the blockchain technology, but it is the same government who are the real culprits in this case because they really do not have any other mindset to work than to loot funds and steal as much as they can, whereas the blockchain technology will expose them and probably put them in order. They could even always find a way to go around it sometimes for a very corrupt system.

The idea is very good, and discussed it on our forum. But none of the governments will not pass laws that can limit the additional income of government members.

The problem is that even if they implement the blockchain technology in a certain government it will still not be cleared for curruption as politicians can find ways or loop holes to get or extort money form people. What I think is the only way to clean the slate for corrupt officials is be letting them step down to their position which is hard as every government has already have certain groups that will use the law against any people who accuse them.

Governments are the most corrupted entities in the world as there is no one who can effectively control them. Power corrupts, while absolute power corrupts absolutely. I don't remember who said this but you can't solve a problem relying on people who are creating it. Governments will never voluntarily accept or agree to a genuine transparency of their actions, through blockchain or otherwise. They will find a lot of excuses to get done with this proposal as soon as it comes to that. But you can be certain that they will justify their rejection by reasons like fighting terrorism, drugs control, human rights, national security, and similar double-speak

I agree that this is a great idea that will ensure the security of the country's economy. However, in the majority of cases, corrupt officials are in power, and since the introduction of technology will depend on them, this will never happen.

Corruption comes from government and it is being perpetuated in the personal lifes and circles. Any creation or innovation that would likely bring total transparency might be fought out. This is why it will be difficult for blockchain to take a center stage. Changing a system is always not easy.

Before you talk about using cryptocurrency to stop corruption in governments you should first talk of stopping the manipulation that’s being done in cryptocurrency ;I even heard that what investors do now is to form a group and pump the price of certain cryptocurrncies and dump them later which is very bad for this.

If things continue this way then not even cryptocurrency can stop corruption. The problem with government is that they are already corrupt,, if not they would probe anyone that is being suspected and make sure that everything is being recovered.

This can only be possible if majority of those in the government are good people with morals. Otherwise forget it. Nobody will create a process or movement that will affect them. This is what an anti-corruption blockchain will mean for the bad people in government while maintaining accountability.

I do not agree. You probably do not understand how corruption is implemented in most countries. Allow you to explane. The corruption chain in the government can be represented as a pyramid, where junior officials are located at the bottom of the pyramid, and top officials are at the top of the pyramid. Nobody in the country wants the pyramid to be destroyed, just every participant in this chain wants to move up. To summarize: the government is not interested in transparency and lack of control.

This is true. Government must try other things that might help to improve the economy. It might be a not so good place to start gaining, but it is worth it. And if we talk about corruption, it is not really clear on how itmust be implemented, it needs to go thru different process to be understood.

That is the reason also that they are not going to implement it because they don't want corruption to end. Except if all people will start to say it.

I think this is possible as the government will just assign an intended wallet to every official so that their transaction can be monitor all the times in which the government could now track the money flow as easy as Bitcoin transactions. I think using blockchain technology will really happen soon if the government is really against the corruption.

Heckz the government already know of this. There are so many ways to make transparency happen even before blockchains happened but then the government chooses not to do that because they now that the people will see how corrupt they are. I mean the government is not as dumb as we know, they just really don't care.

This is a laudable idea because Blockchain technology eliminates all fraudulent activities seen in some businesses in relation to their payment systems. The Blockchain keep records of all transactions which ensures transparency and trust. The governments can utilize it to minimize or check the uprising incidence of corruption.

That is something that would be possible if the government is actually looking to improve its economy and that would have a lot to do with those who are the main top officials in the country as that is how it would move downward to even the citizens.

Blockchain can be useful in order to prevent corruption because of its transparency and security. most of transaction of currupted money has done through cash so in blockchain cash transactions are not possible.
Once the block has created than no one can change the transaction details if someone try than he/she has to hack the whole block that is not possible. anyone can see the transaction details without any permission of receiver or sender. That means if something wrong happened than it is easy to trap the corrupted person.

I still can't believe there are people out there who think that any party or any political movement can't be corrupted. In fact, in a lot of the less developed and developing countries, corruption has dug so deep that it would take some huge cleaning process to be able to get it out of the way.

I just have to agree with your suggestion. With a blockchain system, I believe the issue of misused funds can be minimized. Every disbursed funds can be traced to the approximate wallet with timestamp and clear records.

I always  think about this, that government  should use blockchain for many purposes  to prevent corruption. I think they should start it by using blockchain in elections because they can't duplicate every entry and blockchain can give a fastest  result. Yeah, for instance, someone recently shared the Canadian government integrating blockchain and then displaying their spending to the public which is how I believe things should be done. The Blockchain is not what the government needs to stop corruption in their country. Corruption depends on who the country has voted as its leader, if the leader is corrupt then every other person that follows him will also be corrupt. But if the leader is not someone who is corrupt and stands on his ground to top corruption then it will be stopped. They will let their employees operate in a system with blockchain technology because they wouldn't be able to just easily delete it and then they cannot just change the information in it. I don’t think there is any need for government to implement Blockchain to be able to find out when money are being stolen or where the country’s money is going into. It’s even easier to detect that with banks and know where exactly the money has gone into and fish out the people involved, although I do know that Blockchain is easy too.

I fully support this idea, because the problem of corruption for many countries is very relevant. For example, I live in Ukraine, and we have a monstrous level of corruption in all government bodies. It is really a good tool to improve and make government transactions efficient. Transparent and fast is what is needed in a government process but i doubt if governments will adapt to this technology if they have bad intentions to the people's money.

I totally agree and fully supported if government would use blockchain and adopt the system. Everything will be fair and transparent for all. Every transaction will be clear and fair. The problem is government is also human being who has necessity for their life. As government they are easy to gain money, a lot of money. Human being a.k.a people need money, a lot of money to live their life. I am agree that government should implementing blockchain technology for their service. It will saving a lot budget and government can use others bugdet for build infrastructure. Beside that, with blockchain technology, government service will more faster and eficient

The governments have already agreed that we really need cryptocurrency and soon the governments of different countries will create a team that will develop various technologies that will regulate cryptocurrency and then we will not see dirty money and the cryptocurrency market will no longer fall or grow so much. LOL, as expected for the politicians then you are right they should never implement this kind of system because they could no longer earn from their corruption activities. However, If only I am a leader (A president be like) then definitely I will implement a system like this for every public servant employee on doing transaction which involves money.
