I know that today is the first day when the network V2 began to operate - with the support of self-financing.

How do you think how soon we will be able to get x15-x20 and reach 5$ ???

I think that during the month the XSPEC coin can make x2-3, and by the end of the year we will get the minimum price of 5$, and if bitcoin grows, we will get x100  ::)

A very solid, yet relatively unknown project I am myself invested.

It had a major dip because of a previous dev who didnt give to the community what he has promised

But the tech, codebase is very solid, and judging by commits on github and how new team behaves itself,
they make me believe that their goal:

be the first ever Crypto to invent Proof-of-Stealth, or ability to receive anonymous stakes or bonus rewards

is worth the risk

Its not a bad coin,

It went from $5 down to 25 cents, which is actually a smaller drop than other high profile coins such as Dragonchain, which is down over 30x now.

So I think if the market recovers, and this coin can get a higher market share of the Privacy market, then it has a chance to hit $5 again in the future.

Yes, the price fell, like the whole market.
I am glad that this project has a strong community, a leader and transparent development - and this is the key to growth not only in the growing market.
So I suppose that growth will begin already now and in the growing market we will all make a lot of money!

I don't have a plan to buy Xspec even though lately the project has made good progress, Xspec has lost 94% of its price during the bearish market and currently its trading volume is very low, not easy to get x15 and need something bigger than the V2 network or a new site to get it, I think x15 won't happen soon but it can happen if the team does a lot of things for their project

I'm the MackDaddy and have been researching, mining , investing in crypto for a while and now I'm staking SpectreCoin.
I have done my due diligence in researching this real crypto currency and have come to the conclusion that XPSEC has the best chance to be the most private coin on the market. True anonymity!  And Anonymity is needed now more than ever.

I also love the fact that everyone that holds Coins in there wallet can be part of the ecosystem, while at the same time receive 5% interest on your bag!

I invested in this project back in November 17 and held through the ATH, I didn’t sell as I believe in this project and have it as one of my most anticipated long hold. I admit that around Q1 2018 I started to panic a bit with the lack of dev and deadlines not being met, but then Mandica returned and all I can say is wow.  My faith and excitement for spectrecoin is now at a new level with the regular updates, new releases and accountability of where the funds are being spent.

I think that 2019 will be a huge year for this project and will easily pass the ATH

I think it’s a case that when you look at the project it’s obvious what a gem it can be with the right leadership.  Thankfully we are starting to see that now and it will start becoming more obvious once the marketing starts.  When it hit is ath it didn’t have half the stuff going for it which it does now, we have Mandica to thank for that  8)

Spectrecoin is a privacy money I've been following for a long time..Since the beginning of the year there have been a lot of expectations from the project..But the desired success has not yet been achieved..It's nice to see the team doing innovations for the project.

I think this time around it has a chance of high success. With new leadership and stable funding the sky is the limit, considering the privacy technology is stronger than monero I would say it is worth buying now at the bottom. If it hits a major exchange then it will pump to $5 and beyond

Spectrecoin has been quietly going about their business lately. The project had its problems early in the year but has since recoverd. Mandicas return and a new team has completely turned this project around. The team has been very active on github lately which is a great sign. Yesterday Spectrecoin hard forked to V.2. They have just released a new website as well as a new roadmap. Exciting times ahead for Spectrecoin.

Yes guys, for the last month a lot of positive news from the project.
I think the price increase was waiting for confirmation of the work and now we see the V2 network, white paper and many other things.
Hence, we expect a price increase.

The problem that the team/community face is it is still unrecognised. The team have focused so much on the tech and development to make sure that it’s constantly progressing that they haven’t left time for marketing at present. I believe they have done it the right way, look at other projects which have a large marketcap due to marketing but no actual working product or progress.
I’d rather go for the innovative tech and solid privacy which hasn’t started its rise yet than a hyped project

This is exactly what I like about this project, that the team is focused on technical innovations.
This project has a small market capitalization due to lack of marketing, but as we know to launch a public relations company is very simple.

I'm glad I came across this project, and from now on I'm keeping a watchful eye on this project as I make myself ready to invest in it.

Spectrecoin was one promising privacy coin candidate of the last bubble, but it never really reached a large community. Now in the bear market it will be difficult to gain much value, but it's good to see that Spectrecoin has an active development and a good roadmap. I am still holding a few coins and I'm not planning to sell them soon

Spectrecoin Community Manager here....as several have mentioned early 2018 was a challenge...we had a project manager with health problems depart in June 2017, a part time single dev/manager, that had lost his will, no white paper, no road map, but on the plus side a great community and a belief in privacy and anonymous transactions.

Mandica returned and re-established themselves as project manager, set about to calming the community with promises ....since fulfilled....of accountability, transparency and keeping the community informed of development via regular, informative newsletters.

Since March....using her own money....the books are open in discord, btw....Mandica has surpassed everyones' expectations with action....not words. XSPEC was one of my earlier picks back in December.  Since then I have abandoned it as I see nothing really in terms of use cases or development, just a LOT of shills on this forum.

Spectrecoin has a good development, this is very pleasant for coin holders. Coins that have a long-term and still have a bright future.

That lack of market is good enough for long term holders at the moment and that would simply make it even more interesting as the market recovers hugely which looks like something that would be occurring soon.

It is actually very interesting after looking at the way the devs have been able to work their way through all the challenges for a while and still come out strong and with the fork, and the way everything has been rebuilt, I guess this would speak well for the value in the long run. I wish it could be listed on a better exchange than where it is currently listed though.

Very positive I must say and the hype has been somehow scary though in a positive way which I believe if the market should end up recovering hugely for altcoins, this may cause this coin to skyrocket hugely. A lot of things have been revamped and that shows some solid prospect for this project. I would definitely be considering this and for a project that had its share of issues and still trying to come back stronger, simply shows some level of enthusiasm to do a great work by the team and that makes it worth investing.

I have already contacted devs for pushing them toward listing into top exchanges because that is the main reason why it is not gathering enough attention from most of altcoin community. I believe devs will decide the good which are leading the coin to more reputation in coming days.

I have been holding Xspec for a long time, I have kept the coin during hard times, at first I was skeptical, but now I see that the team does a really good job and the project is back on track! I think that the privacy coins will generally play an important role and I can advise anyone to read about xspec

Why do people rate this coin as good ?I checked it at Coinmarket and found that its price went to the end of the line and there was no volum. It is not like alive and all its exchange is shit exchange

I have taken time to do a very good research on this coin and I think it is very good and will have a very bright future but I want to wait a bit more maybe when the market recover from the bear before I will invest in the coin.

Spectrecoin is a solid coin but the crypto market moves in waves and Xspec with it's recent restructuring and development is setting it's sails to move past it's all time high which I believe will happen sometime in 2019. If you look at the technical analysis of Xspec over the past year you can see that its price reached three pivotal peaks with each peak meeting or surpassing the previous. So do I believe that a more advanced developed coin can equal the performance of it's previous lesser self in a bull market? Absolutely, but this will largely depend on the crypto market as a whole and in my opinion I don't feel a bull market is happening anytime soon this year maybe closer to 2019. However I could be wrong as my opinion comes from no expertise but is merely just a hunch I have feeling out the market. This is the time to buy though when the attention is low and the eyes are elsewhere. Don't be fooled there is alot of money to be made. I think $6.00 is a conservative estimate for 2019 and I'm filling my bags for the next big wave.

Did someone in here claim the XSPEC fork that happened some months ago? I am not familar with the ongoing dev activities. But what do you think? Are the main devs still involved into the original project?

Investing in this coin makes sense only in the medium and long term. I keep a certain number of coins and plan to increase the number, now more than ever came the confidence in the success of the project, everything needs time. It is foolish to hope for rapid growth, it must be evolutionary, as recognition comes.
The fork was a week ago... In March, the founder of the project returned after Mandica's illness. Now 3 active developers. A lot of comments on github. You can come to the discord and chat with the team and the community, I am sure you will be very friendly.

Of course, I respect your approach @davida, and I absolutely never push anyone to buy this or that, but in my opinion, there are many signs that the bear market is (probably) more or less over, and bear markets typically hit small altcoins far more than bigger coins, on the other hand, bull markets raise the small boats quicker than the big ones. Every coin correlates differently, but I think Warren Buffet was right when he said "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful". Even if this may be the only thing he said that is applicable and true to crypto.

This coin has good tech and good development, but lack in promotion and community size. It need more promotion and exchange, but i understand coz its ICO raised only small amount. today more exchange=more listing fee.

I'm holding out for some major news, can't say there has been much from the xspec team recently. Lots of chatter about stealth staking but it's just chatter. Could do with some partnerships and exchanges in order to compete with other privacy coins

After all this time Spectrecoin has not progressed up the coinmarketcap rankings. I don't know what the issue is, the technology appears to be there but people are not moving away from reputable brands like monero. XSPEC needs better marketing

I think Spectrecoin is still developing and continues to look for loopholes to increase volume, this indeed looks difficult with this kind of situation. Spectrecoin has already had a name and is able to maintain it, certainly hope at a good price is every investor's dream.

@everyone – We are super excited to announce that we have been running our new Stealth-Staking algorithm on the Spectrecoin testnet over the last few days. The testnet is currently closed beta and intense testing is going on right now. A public beta on the testnet will likely be made available once we are satisfied that everything is working as it should. Our lead developer @Tek has designed and implemented this system for anonymous staking and this will allow users to stake both XSPEC and/or SPECTRE. When you stake SPECTRE you will remain private throughout the whole staking process, using your anonymous SPECTRE and generating new SPECTRE with no history as a stake reward. Both your staking coins and your total balance will remain private.

We anticipate testing and stabilising Spectrecoin V3 until the end of February where we are likely to move to a public testnet beta and a hardfork to implement ‘Proof-of-Stealth’ at the end of March 2019 on the mainnet. There will be more updates as we approach the hard-fork and details on how to upgrade and how to use the new staking algorithm. The full technical details will be available in the updated white paper with other changes implemented over the last few months.

I think that many users have already realized that you need to invest in a person, not a project.
Here is just a great leader and generally a good team.
Of course, the whole 2018 year for the project was difficult, there were a lot of disappointments and falls. But with the return after the illness of the head and creator everything returned to normal!

XSPEC had a number of good days recently. Were there any news? If not I always assume it's just a short pump after the long bear market...

After the last news came out, I see a steady growth, I think that soon there will be a price of $4-5!

The value of XSPEC has just increased x5. Your speculation is good but its growth time is quite longer than expected. But anyway, I still appreciate XSPEC and will invest in it when its price goes down 0.28 $ - 0.3 $. it survived the recession of the market and I admire it. Hope the potential of the project will be revealed in Q2.
