The bear market have lingered and has made many people lose faith in cryptocurrency. This is evident in the number of sell off recorded for the past few months. However, signs of recovery are beginning to emerge; BTC have crossed $7000 and still remain strong. Similarly, Ether have started showing strong signs of recovery after depreciating significantly for the past couple of weeks. Can we therefore, say that the much awaited upward trend is here?

What is your opinion?

the increase has just happened and we cannot find out whether this trend can last long or bullish has begun. but we are happy because this increase has made little profit and also a high profit, for the buyers when the market fell yesterday.

Don't keep your thoughts to high on it because we might see a big run down again depending on the mood of the market, So I can not peacefully say that we are riding the value upward, But I can only say that the market is in a good condition for now, We should wait for the month of September before giving a final verdict on the price, But then again there is no final verdict because anything can happen with the price of bitcoin.

I would be very careful calling it a comeback of the uptrend. Let's hope for the best but don't get overexcited, we might again finish at 10k and come back down.

Who knows, only time will tell if this is actually an organic growth or just an uptrend caused by shorts squeeze in the BTC market. I honestly think we're starting the recovery phase (it's about time), especially in the altcoin market which got hit really hard by the bear market.

Regardless, there should be a shift in market sentiment (from bearish to bullish) very soon as this recovery phase continues.

No one can able to tell and we would always remain on speculation phase.This increase do only have 2 possible paths to take which is indeed a trend reversal which is bullish or just an another price increase or simply a bull trap which an another normal profit taking for those who do make shorting specially for whales or other retail traders but for us all we do hope for the start of a bull run.We have been on bearish since the start of this year.

In this year the trend of cryptocurrency price movements is very skewed with a downward trend, and until now I have not seen any signs of a change in trend from a downward trend to an uptrend, if you already have that view it might be explained in detail.

This is just short-term growth. We are still uncertain and can confirm that the uptrend. If Bitcoin exceeds 9000$ then 100% of the market has uptrend and the bull market starts. But it is very difficult to take place this year

Well, the increase has just started and we can see that potential coins are rising slowly, I wish this will continue for a long time so that other altcoin will also begin to grow and then the bull run will start before the end of the year.

There are a lot of factors, it might be a hype or investors strategically positioning their investment. We are are still kn the bearish market if you’ll look at it. The trend change when the occasional pump and dump happened arounf second week of August. From then on Bitcoin is starting to hold a stronger resistance on a weekly basis. But yes itbis too early to say that we are on an uptrend.

Current growth is stable and yes appreciating. Last eight months' crypto value has been lower than 2017. Now the price of bitcoin and other altcoins started increasing. Hope this trend will continue hitting minimum $13K by end of December 2018. The first half really disappointed but the second half seems to be supporting the traders and bitcoin users as well. Hope to have this growth trend continue with stable attitude.

I think this slight price increase was due to a few news articles that came out yesterday saying that the SEC is possible looking into approving the coming ETF. I know I stumbled across a couple of them while browsing the net yesterday. This would bring the price up a little short term, but won't help it long term unless it gets approved.

Too early to assume that we are now on the uptrend which is the most awaited trend for this year. Let's give some more time until we see if this isn't just a trap.

I bet some of those people who lose faith to crypto only knows that it will make them rich in a short period time without taking the risk of enduring those dumps and decreases every day well some of them are just securing their funds to stable coins to prevent further loses that's why they are selling off but once the fire of the bull ignites they will trade to crypto again, beware from bull trap though you never knew if that is the scheme right now.

Wait until early September to know the upward trend or repeat as previous times. By the end of July, I think it started in the bitcoin's rapid growth, but after a few days that didn't happen.

That's right, the market is getting cold from unnecessary attention.Once everything comes to organic consensus there will be growth.

i am not sure. total market cap is still not enough. and when it is climbing up, dominance of bitcoin is also raising paralelly. for an uptrend, marketcap should be about 500 billion and dominance should be less than 50%.

I have collected some coin, altcoin and tokens because I am sure that after this there will be a price change that might not be the same as last year but there is definitely a price increase and now the market is starting to move and why not take advantage of all this ....

Need to wait to make sure if it's real or just a new trap come from the whales ;D. So many times market rise back a little bit like this but right after that whole market dump back to hell very quickly. Nobody can ensure at the moment if bull market is coming or not :). Let's see.

We see a good run today and the market really looks good but I think its too early to say that this is the start of an uptrend, maybe we need more time for this one. For now, just don’t take profit yet wait for more days as we welcome the ber months, this can be a good start for bitcoin and cryptomarket.

We need some new High Tops with high volumes

The market has increased quite little and can not be confirmed as uptrend. More tracking is needed to determine the trend over time. I think investors should be well prepared to make the right decisions.

Difficult to say or to claim that we are heading upward. Things can go either ways and as of to date. Though we can see thame significant incline accross the market we are still in the bearish trend and it can drop anytime now.

Well this is what, the fourth? Fifth? Sixth time this year I keep seeing "market is green again and bull is back" comments. I don't know. Too tired to get lied to again, so I'll just assume this is another short rally that will disappear as soon as either some bad news happens or people want to take more profits.

I managed to get into a few good alts to increase current portfolios so I'm not unhappy with myself in this period. Uptrend to turn into bull run? Don't think so yet. People still want short term profits.

There were many such signs when everything seemed to have recovered, but the correction killed all hopes and a new wave of sales began. Do not think that everything will be restored so easily and simply, a powerful push is needed.

in the past two days the market has experienced a fairly stable increase, not as usual if false rises rise rapidly and fall too fast, but these two days the market rises regularly hopefully this is a sign that the market is stabilizing

Can't say that this is the uptrend. Few weeks ago, we are around $8,000 and then went back to around $6,000 and now when it cross $7,000 we cannot really judge if it will continue that way because some traders may just short it. Judging by the number of shorts, it is decreasing so there is a chance that maybe it would continue still to go up. There may be some who are just waiting for this moment to join the crypto world again. Nevertheless, we should not be complacent and be on guard always in setting our buy and sell price.

Every single time the market increases like 5% we have the same conversation, and then we're all disappointed a few days later when everything drops by 10% or more

We can see a little bit of uptrend for few days. But it is too early to say something about this. This could be a temporary uptrend. Let's wait and see what will happen.

I think that has to do with the morgan creek news whose ceo believes bitcoin would reach $500,000. I wouldn't take it as major uptrend but keep watching and see how it acts in few weeks but definitely a good news for investors.

As much as I would love to hope that we will rocket through 8k, onwards and upwards towards 10....12....and beyond, I don't see it happening so soon.

I believe we will trade in a range between 5700 - 7700 for the next few months.

if it continues to hold the 7k$+ area, I will say that it will be an uptrend coming. Because its making 7k$ a strong support for future trends. hopefully, we will see bullish trend soon.

we are hoping that this would continue to make all people able to get high profit in every investment they did, me i always think more positive in the market always promotes coins which is i am holding to make grow my income.
Also i see that some investors taking advantage in low value that is why the demand are now increasing that reflects in the value of coins in the market.

it is too soon to tell because most importantly bitcoin has started going up and in its initial rising stage the altcoins usually go back up. but from that point a lot of  different things may happen. for instance we may end up seeing another dumping frenzy start as the whales dump again since there was a recovery and prices were higher. and also we may see a big bitcoin rise which will always cause a big altcoin dump.

Somehow the market is climbing up although its still early to say that we are back on a bull trend. Just observe and stay updated on the market movement.

As much as I would like to believe that the market has turned its table to an uptrend, I would still not be too confident about it so that if the opposite happens, I won't be disappointed with the outcome. Although, it is a very good time to buy those coins which I cannot afford previously in 2017 and early 2018.

In today's bitcoin can not pass the 7200$. And now it has gone down to 6900$. Just like what you say. Be careful with BTC at this time, In the next few days I think BTC will come back to 7200$ again. If it does not pass, then I think the price will return to 6000$

We have not determined the exact trend at this time. But signs and sounds from the recent market are very positive. And if the growth trend at the end of the year is formed. I think that is the result of efforts from our beliefs and patience.

Apparently yes and coincidentally we are getting to the end of 2018 just like last year when btc went up. I believe that now when the market comes back to work not only btc but also several altcoins will have a very good discharge.

I believe that there are no reasons for market restoration yet, just people buy at low prices, but this is not enough for a bull market.

As of today it is now current pumping but it looks not so stable in $7k, maybe there is something that's currently forcing it to either rise or fall. However, it is not what i was expecting, maybe it's not the right time yet or maybe it's not going to happen anymore; who knows? Even the market is not that stable we could still earn some profit from it, with just a little help of our patience and perseverance.

I don't think that downtrend has finished. In my opinion this is just correction of downtrend. Personally I expect that falling of Bitcoin price, after it will get 7,5K$. I think after SEC decision about ETF in the end of September it will hardly crash and we will see bottom of this downtrend only in the end of spring of the next year. By that time Ethereum will crash under 70$, Bitcoin cash 150$ and so on. According to my knowledges in technical analysis I think that this downtrend will last till the middle of the next year. That's why it is too early to go for long.

It is still early to say if this uptrend will last or fizzle like all the past bounces. There does not seem any bad news left that is not already priced in the market including ETF rejection so market is holding out well for now.

It's been 2days now and BTC is holding at $7k which is a good sign however it is still hard to identify if this is the start of bullish market as we all know that BTC also went up to $8k earlier this month but it went down. Ber months are coming and hoping that it will continue, I think ETF would also help if it will be approved(not necessarily) but as long as there's no FUD from big companies or banks in the next following weeks this would be the start.

I agree with you, there will still be waves of downtrend even during in BER months. The ETF has been causing the community to be shaken. I don't see SEC accepting the proposal of ETF's. I don't even think it is a good time to propose ETF for Bitcoin yet. I was just shock with your price speculation of ETH and BCH though. Isn't it not normal for them to crash like that?

As far as my observations and calculations are considered on this question, basically I have experienced I mean all of us have experienced a downturn for cryptos for the past few months and a bit of climbs too but I think it is slowing down its decline and beginning to slowly climb up and we can possibly see a good increase of value within the year or by the end of the year.

This is not yet the final period of the bears, but we are already on the verge of a big bang and watching the rising prices of coins. We are looking forward to a new round and a huge profit, covering all the expenditure.

More time needed, we need to wait for it. I'm not also going to say that we finally into the uptrend but once bitcoin will have its stay on $7,000 just like it did before, we can finally catch and say that its the uptrend.

Today isn't a good day though this is also another expected dip that it has to go after that push upwards.

yes it's nice to see some green candles but i don't think that the trend reversed yet as we are still in a bear market with lower highs and lower lows and for me personally i would like to see positive price action being sustained for weeks or months before declaring a bull run. but patience will be important in these conditions.

I think that Bitcoin and Ethereum have stabilized and this means that they will no longer drop significantly. But the bull market is still far away, I believe.

Yes, you are right. The market is really a bit up the trend these days, but this may just be a flash in the pan, maybe the answer only just GOD konws. But, the price rise is always a good thing, even if it is only temporary.

I don't see green days coming back any time soon. We may be locked in bull trap, and the next biggest avalanche may hit us down to 3k, 1.8k or even lower before the next big run up after a long consolidation

For me it is too early to says uptrend will dominated all of cryptocurrency market because the market still unstable that even it is looks back again to green but i think it would not be last long and increasing price also not rapidly significant or jumping as you can see today that the market were back to red again

I don't think we are in an uptrend at all right now. Still, the Bears are trying to squeeze the hell out of every coin and token on CMC and they will do so until all the little people are out of this business. They don't want small people making money and they will do all it takes to make everyone panic sell their tokens and coins for cheap. Just like I saw what happened to MONEYTOKEN today when it debuted on the exchanges for far less than ICO prices because all the bounty cheapskates dumped it like hell as usual. I think we have a long way to go before any sign of a bull market is coming our way.

Crypto market experiencing ups and downs, sometimes the uptrend is taking long in the road but for it doesn't mean that bull period is about to come, it just a matter of the volatility nature of crypto, I don't know when it will happen again.

Not only a few months but we are almost heading a 4th quarter bearish trend on this year.We do see on last 2 days the sudden breakout of bitcoins resistance of 7k and go to 7100 but it didnt hold on for to long and we do see currently the pullback of its price which is already on 6800+ but its quite good to see that it do hold on that price and didnt go even deeper.Hope this one would be the new floor or support thing.
We arent still on a bullish trend but seeing these gradual increase might give a sign on upcoming recovery.

Maybe we failed to break the resistance because of a wea volume and the result is dump again. The market are still in the bear trend, the recent pump maybe is just a part of a recovery but not in total swing. Just wait for the price to rise again, and don’t sold your token at loss.

Obviously, it is not. Downtrend is still on top. Market still is on red marks and recovery just happens for hours and dumps last longer. Surely, recovery will happen but for the meantime, focus on holding. Selling is still not advisable especially at times like this that the market value of most crypto are low.

It is hard to determined whether the uptrend would prolong or just a temporary. Crypto prices are always volatile even from the start price were up and down. We hope price are uptrend for us to have our profit but who knows it should be happening.

We are not on bullish trend jet. The market now is looking for next move and I hope it will become bullish. But this time here is market without any trend.

It seems the market is uptrend now. I think we are end of the bear market and  we will see a fast climbing  with positive improvements in autumn.

Right! There is really nothing much to say yet until we start seeing the uptrend build up and participation brewing up in the market. It is a good thing to see most of the coins breaking out to a very good extent but we still have a long way to go before we can say if there is indeed a start of an uptrend or not.

Bear market is still happening and recent bull run I think is bull trap. So can not say that the market has uptrend. In 2018 I do not think the market can uptrend because it needs more time to adjust more before reaching a price higher than 2017

The market needs more time to start growing, we have already seen the bottom of bitcoin and altcoins so now there will be a movement up.

Uptrend may only be possible by December, if this last quarter didn't show any progress we can at least hope that it will arise a beat for a good next year start. Market isn't able yet to recover from ATH corrections.

as I already think since february the market is rising. and when it is three days green it suddenly turns red again 7 days. i hope that the market will turn green again slowly and this color will stay for a few weeks. i don't like to see red color any more at the moment  ;)  ;)

It is hard to predict the uptrend or not because it has been unstable for a long time since March but I think the market will uptrend strongly if it crosses the $ 10,000 mark

It may take a few year to the bitcoin to break another record again. But this year can be considered as the worst year in the crypto. At least we are still sitting at high rate for the bitcoin valuation.

Well, for now, the market is really giving some sort of uptrend signal, and we might be seeing some pretty good greens in coming days. However, that is all that it is considering the fact that nothing can be so certain yet until we start seeing some good volume, but with the way I have been seeing the charts, it is a risk worth taking with a tight stop loss as the case may be. With BTC crossing $7k and consolidating for a while, we may actually get to see the alt market have some boom a little bit.

Today is September 01, 2018 and the market is green trend today. The volume is great and we can say that this market is about to rise again but of course don’t celebrate yet because it can still drop again.

DOnt go crazy everytime after bitcoin is just going up a little bit. You see this year, after the bump in january, it happend a lot. One time it rises up to 12thousand and it falls again to six thousand. So nobody can say you right now if the amrket is in a uptrend. Just be patiently and hold your coins. ANd when the market is really in a uptrend, you will see it!

About an uptrend, you can speak after breakout BTC $10K. Otherwise, this is a lateral or down trend.

I really do have a feeling that the price will decrease again. It is not that I am pessimistic or something. It is just that it happened before, and then the price fell again. I am not talking about when the price reached nearly $20k. I am talking about few months ago, the price did grow up to reach $7k and then all of a sudden, it fell back. So, do not get your hopes too high or else you will get disappointed. Just expect the unexpected.

We should probably wait a bit longer to say whether this is an upward trend. Maybe this is just another momentary rebound after which the price will stay again in the area of 6000$ as it is the last time.

It's not that strong enough to say it that we are in the bull run.  Yes,  we appreciate that small improvements in terms of prices and yet,  we are all ready for big surprises which could be possible to happen sooner. 
It may consider a bull run if it will continuously going up and all coins are in the uptrend motion.

Yeah I believe that it's due time that the market recovered. It's actually recovering in time for the upcoming ETF decision which is at the end of September (Sept. 30 if i remember correctly). If past historical trends are any indication, the market should continue this uptrend up until that ETF decision date.

Don't expect anything better  to happen in this months but I guarantee that the market will surely go uptrend in the last months of this year. BTC's dominance is going strong while it reaches the $7k mark back again so I'm also hoping that the bull run would be earlier.

Yes, there are now some thin signs of recovery and it is about time the market finally do some uptrend. However, there is a looming crisis coming and I am talking about the coming decision to be rendered by SEC on the ETF application. The delay of decision caused the recent crash imagine the impact if the final decision can be a big NO. A negative decision can send the whole cryptocurrency market into a big chaos but I could be so happy to be proven wrong come end of September. I am in fact hoping that the market will not anymore factor this ETF decision but am not the market so there is nothing I can do with it personally.

i think it is hard to make the market recovers in just a short time, rightnow we may see the price a little bit rising up but not completely uptrend, it needs more time to recover rather just few pumps in short time, and i agree with you that bitcoin will need to get higher than 10k$ for us to feel safe.

I think it is much much too early to tell. We need to wait until a clearer picture emerges, and unless there is a very sharp and sudden movement I would say we'd need to wait a month or more.
If you look at the charts over a short period of time, it looks like a recovery has started... but if you look at the chart for the last 12 months, you can see that we are still in the general downward trend that started in January.
What we've seen in the last few days is a small upwards movement that is against the overall trend.

Market is kind of uptrend but I won't say that is absolutely positive. It is still not clear what will happen in future, all wait for positive dynamics but that's not obvious in my opinion.

I agree 100% with this. In times of economic uncertainty, people move their money somewhere safe. Traditionally that has been things like gold. Crypto is pretty much the opposite of stable, and we are years away from crypto being seen as a safe haven.
