Title: North Korea Moving to Crypto Exchanges and Mining

While South Korea is fast becoming a formidable force to reckon with in the global cryptospace, it’s North Korean brother has been more interested in using its distributed ledger technology expertise to wreak havoc on the world.

In similar, more law-abiding news, a report from Yonhap on August 27, 2018, indicated that North Korea may be looking towards launching a cryptocurrency exchange rather than the next Ransomware.

Do they subsidize energy costs or something, doesn't really make sense to ban something that people pay for themselves. That's like saying you can't spend your own money how you want. That's a good news. Sooner or later, every country in the world will accept cryptocurrency because cryptocurrency is the future to the digital transaction system. North Korea's step towards cryptocurrency is another big example of this.

Even though this is a great news that North Korea is taking an interest in the crypto market, but there are a couple of news that would be of great worry. According to the link in the post, it says that North Korea launched malware attacks on the South Korean email IDs to gain access to their wallets. This was even backed up by great. If this is true, then we have trouble coming.

This might be a bit of concern because the article says that GReAT found out that malicious bots were sent to attack the personal email addresses of those who have wallets. And this was specifically done to gain access to the wallets. And North Korea was behind it who did this to South Korea. So all in all, we need to be careful now.

As much as it seems like a good thing that the North Koreans have taken an interest in the market, some news were very disturbing. The one were bots were sent out to attack the emails in order to get access to wallets was scary. Let's hope this will not be the real reason behind it.

North Corea is heavily restricted by the international laws and treaties and the money laundering prevention systems. Even if they mine, they can´t cash it, or not easily at least.

Countries are using all the advancements of technology they have to their disposal and trying to use it to their advantage for a long time now. There's nothing we can do about what North Korea is intending to do. If they harness the advantage of crypto and DLT technology then it should a step for the crypto space regardless of how small it is.

North Korea is a closed and backward country. He is being subjected to economic sanctions by Western countries headed by the United States. North Korea’s participation in cryptocurrencies should be attributed to the government. This also shows that the North Korean government is slowly opening up.

A news that represents that Crypto-space is really a decentralized space covering everywhere in the world, will someday lead the world. But mentioning Ransomeware here was not pleasant. China is not fully corruption free that doesn't make it a crypto thief country, as NK as well. We need to be potentially positive.

After all the hype with digital currency and related technology it was a matter of time for whole Korea to jump in the hype train and try to use the technology to their desired outcomes. Now, if that is to destroy the world then we should be concerned about that, but honestly, the technology is too good to be used against humanity, don't think North Korea will do any such thing.

Step by step, every country in the world will come forward to Crypto- space as I assume. But we have to look it in a positive way as it will enrich the market. The way China is seeing this is merely a right perspective. It is comparable to the USA to be strong in defense but in the case of other countries to defy.

Well they are large exporters of coal, and that's just 1b$ per year so it's not really that big amount, they could easy top it with transforming that coal-electricity-crypto and they have more coal then they can sell. And with all canctions they have crypto would be perfect source of income. I dont think that it would be good news for community cos they will dump all coins they mine, they will never be interested in tehnology or community just profit!

Its true, every country should start moving now adopting cryptocurrency because if they don't for sure other countries will over power them. Maybe North Korea see a better future in their economy that's why they are not pursuing the opportunity of Cryptocurrencies. In the future, more and more country will invest in it resulting to further development of more cryptos which will be beneficial as a replacement to bank notes and local fiats. It's a good news for us.

Mining will be outside soon and exchanges are nice to be here. North Korea is in front of the crypto's development and I am happy that they take an active part.

I think that it is connected with their good development of the militart industry. With crypto it will be easier to manage money there because it is anonymous. I don't blame them, if I were them, I would do this as well.
