Firstly, does it run on my computer with a connection to the internet? or Does it run on a website / server hosted online? and second, Where can I get this software? and Roughly how much will software like this cost me? :P

BUT... Bitcoin mining with a generic PC (even if it has a decent graphics card) is not going to be profitable - you need specialized hardware, forget about mining with your current PC. And buying specialized hardware (ASICs) is also very unlikely to return a profit unless you know really well what you need and what it is worth. It runs off a Bitcoin only system called Compuserve. You need a modem or if you're really lucky, an ISDN line.
