Likely just another shitcoin that they are airdropping to thousands of Ethereum addresses. Scammers sometimes do this, in an attempt to lure people in with the promise of free coins. If the project was worth anything or had any redeeming features whatsoever, they wouldn't be giving it away for free.

Best bet is to just ignore it.

I know but they got a contract spam because the token left but he did not even go in there I think it devalues the eth network and anyone can just mess with our wallets and leave an advertisement as a contract I think vitalik could sort out a way this does not happen

Yes, it also happened to many times before especially last year there were at least four tokens in my three wallets that I was sure I did not bought nor applied for them. They just came in out of nowhere and then I learned later on that all of them got no value at all as not one even made it to any exchange big and small. These days there are so many creative ways to entice people to open their crypto pockets and be victimized with scams and frauds so we have to be careful.

That's a free coin and they are doing it for advertising and it seem effective on their part because you have noticed them.

I know how it feels to have a dust token to your wallet, like they said ignore it.

I have the same -100.00 blockwell.ai KYC Casper Token in myetherwallet also, this is not a airdrop as it appears that the token was sent FROM my wallet.

Maybe it has to do with CASPER, the new Ethereum solution..

I have also got it as outgoing transaction without even being in my wallet. How is that even possible to send out of ours wallet. I have never seen such transaction.

As long as your other tokens and ether balance remain intact, I would say there's no cause to worry much over some ghost shitcoin that was airdropped to your ethereum wallet.

No cause for alarm then as I got same token but in checking it's zero balance. If it isn't what I'm thinking about then they surely for attention of so many investors. Funny set of devs though.

Well, unfortunately it's pretty hard to solve this issue, I guess, because many people might even be interested in random free coins and ethereum is really a platform for all the good and shitty projects out there. Many tokens are distributed randomply to ethereum holders. Perhaps there could be created a feature that would allow one to make his/her wallet unseen by Airdroppers, but I am not sure even about that.
Why is it a problem anyway? I once got trx this way and simply didn't know for months. It was worth about 30 dollars when I saw it on my exchange profile and it was kind of a nice surprise.

You can think of such things as advertising, because now many fraudsters do this, they have some way to make these tokens appear in your wallet, but they don't have any value!

its easy too to just throw away the token

Those amount isn't big.

The quantity of those tokens are big but in real value, it has nothing to do with its current market value. You can't even throw away those tokens unless you want to spend some gas for those thrownaway tokens that has been passed to you as a way for them to be recognized.

Hahah, no. Testing of what? Every test and implementation on Ethereum network conducting the testnet first and not on mainnet. And if you just read it with some attention there is even website of the project which is sending those tokens. It's simply an advertisement of that project. Nothing special

I got some of the coins out of nowhere like that probably to make some exposure and advertisement for their ICO or platform, some of them are just spam or just worthless altcoins giving some airdrops without your application or permission, get used to it if you are a bounty hunter cause they are using bounty spreadsheet to get wallet address.

Ethereum is an asset platform. So everyone can issue asset or tokens there. It is almost free. So people do that for fun and send it to other people.

Yes i had the same thing happen - Guys this is NOT about receiving a spam coin - there was an outbound transaction from my wallet that cost me gas - WTF?

How is this possible?

Gas Used By Txn:2440343
Gas Price:
0.000000005 Ether (5 Gwei)

I've been receiving some tokens too that I don't know where they come from. And because I'm careful that my MEW will e compromised by at virus I never dare click any of those coin's links. Probably some rubbish coins only. That should be stopped coz its only adding to the network's traffic.

But what about GAS we paid for nothing? Where is my money?)))

Hi - Pretty sure your address didn't pay the gas for the tx. I imagine if it were possible for a third-party contract to spend the ETH of an address it didn't control, that'd be the end of Ethereum. You should be able to confirm that your ETH balance didn't change as a result of these transactions by checking the balance before and after the relevant blocks here--

Move the token to another address and you will remove it from your wallet easily and quickly. I think it's pretty simple to be able to think and do it xD

Old tactics to get the curiosity of the token holders, some people might search that tokens as it appears to our respective Eth wallets without our application or approval to their reward programs one of their strategy to promote their tokens, the problem is that they are most likely spam you can determine that from etherscan that might be another fraud or useless tokens.

Just start to be picky from now, it is useless to remove tokens that will only spend your ETH to be gas fee. Sometime we should be carefully to pick an airdrop so we not waste our time or something like what OP discuss, casper tokens that in and out from wallet.

It's not that simple to just move whenever you want to, every transactions need some gas to pay. So, it's better if you just left it alone there and never touch it so that you can save more gases for your future transactions.

I believe it's better if OP don't do anything about of that shitcoin, and don't ever join to any airdrop if it is not legit or else your wallet will be full of shitcoins that has no value.

to date, the price of the transaction in the network of the Etherium is not very large and therefore you can spend a certain amount of an efirium to clear your purse of garbage. this is an appropriate option.

Why would care too much? Even the tx fee or gas isn't that high but I don't see a reason for it to be worthy to be transferred just to get rid of it.I do have lots of those similar spam tokens but I don't really care at all since they don't really cause any harm unless if you do saw outbound transactions then it would be an another story. This is what I don't like on erc20 which token can be easily made and these shit tokens is somehow expected.

As I understand if I want to remove anything from my wallet I must pay GAS for this. I have more than 20 useless tokens IMHO this can be quite expensive to make 20 operations.

It's an advertisement. Has nothing to do with Casper testing. The answer is right there in the name of the token. No need to chase the same contract just go to http://blockwell.ai/

They are calling themselves the blockchain for the masses

most likely you are right, because I have enough information about random tokens on wallets erc20. I think that in this way the developers try to attract investors or persons who may be interested in their project.

So, a million ETH Wallets were "sent" this KYC Token. Personally, I think it's very shady and am staying away. One of the biggest giveaways for me is a spelling/grammar error on their website, alongside the lack of professionalism used to build the site in the first place. The following has been copied and pasted from their website:

Quote
Check out 10in10.blockwell.ai for a chance to win10
Etner in 10 minutes.

Quote
we understand emerging tech really really well and
we really get this blockchain thing.

Not sure what "Etner" is, and I highly doubt ten Ether are being given away either. Most legitimate startup (or "ICO") should comply with the USA guidelines set forth by the SEC in 2017 JUNE, stating citizens of the USA MUST be an accredited investor in order to participate (purchase) any shares/tokens. Needless to say, there would be no spelling or grammar errors on their website, and it would be built accordingly by a team of professionals! My advice: stay away..

Perhaps this is a free way to attract investors, so as not to hold the Bounty of the company. Although if the project has a good idea, then the money spent will return with interest.

Hello Everyone,
I hope my explanation can clear up all your questions.

First let me tell you all that we do NOT have any control over your wallets, they are 100% safe.

The Casper token is simply a KYC token. This is a trick we figured out with solidity and are using it to store KYC drop candidates. Those who received the KYC drop were programmatically identified through the blockchain as someone who might be interested in or able to add value to our ecosystem. Your wallet address is stored on-chain and when we get our product to a point where we are happy with and open up the KYC process, the fact that you are on our list will grant you perks. You'll get a KYC token and a personal address to send it to, in order to prove your wallet ownership, if approved more magic will happen.

See this link for more details: https://blockwell.ai/assets/KYCDrop_FAQ.pdf

We don't have any control of your wallet but we do have control of our own erc20 token and how it behaves in your wallet. We did it to show what people think tokens can do, is just the tip of the iceberg.

For those of you looking to learn more about the system while potentially winning Ether checkout http://10in10.blockwell.ai
We're not asking for your ether, we're giving ours away to push innovative crypto concepts into the mainstream. Whether you fork our sample apps or add tokens to your own codebase we want to make crypto truly global.

KYC and mass market penetration are key to Blockwell. That's why we're letting you build, right now, for free. When Wellspring launches (our KYC DEX) all tokens will have immediate liquidity from their personal token to ETH (regardless of an ICO or exchange listing). And if the worst happens, you won't need subpoena powers in the jurisdiction to follow the money trail on stolen tokens as you do currently when they hit a centralized exchange.

We're building a platform that's easy to use, reasonable to secure, and able to integrate with country, state and provincial regulations as governments and businesses learn this world. In the coming weeks we'll release details on our country and state level consensus protocols and other innovative solutions to crypto's most prolific growing pains.

We are building a platform for the mass market which means being ready to work with and guide governments at the national and state/province level.

Check out our website, www.blockwell.ai to find out more information about our project or find us on telegram @blockwell

Cheers,
Eric
