I have been holding some amount of ethereum since its peak of about  $1,400 late last year till date. I accept the fact that holding for that long period of time was not a rational investment decision considering the fundamental issues surrounding my investment plan. My decision would have been rational only if I sell half of my investment in ethereum at the time its value appreciate to around  $1,400. Now ethereum market value is below  $200 as at the time of this post. Fellow crypto ethusians, will ethereum value ever return to the peak of  $1,400?

I too missed the chance of cashing it when the price was around $1400, missing opportunities were very bad with cryptocurrency. We don't know when this happens again. From my understanding it is possible to experience the value of $1400 or even higher to it. But, with the ongoing market situation it is possible but there is no time prediction.

I have remembered, the co-founder of Reddit predicted that ETH price will go for 1500 USD in this year. Still, his prediction is wrong but don't know what will happen in future, we have still four months left. But, I think, it's no. Eth can't go back to 1400 USD in this year and I am very doubtful that it won't go in next year too.

Even though many people are doubting this coin now, I still believe that its possible to hit that price again. We will continue to grow no matter what, this make took years or whatsoever but surely ETH will make a new ATH. Bull market will come and maybe that’s the best time for ETH to bounce back.

If your plan is a long–term investment (1–5 years), then yes, Ethereum will reach $1,400 again, just like Bitcoin reached and broke the $1,242 ATH it made in 2013 (took it almost three and a half years)—records are made to be broken. Ethereum is a really good cryptocurrency with a bright future. All you need right now is patience. Shorting now in this bear market and trying to recoup is going to take hell of a lot of time and effort on your end.

I hope so and U strongly believe that ethereum price will go back to its higher price before and every one who hold will benefit it in a right time. Just have more patience because it is the only way to earn prifit and not to lose our investment.

etherum conditions are currently bleeding and are in poor condition. this is evident from the current etherum price rates. I was quite surprised to see that etherum prices were at a rate of 200USD. conditions like this have made a tremendous panic for the market and even prices could be much lower. but the sense of optimism still exists because I believe that etherum can do it, there will be many wonders and also when we increasingly support the use of etherum the price will gradually recover.

Very devastating to see how ETH is draining and sinking and sinking. I so remember the good old days of ethereum when it got to its peak. For now am not quite sure but in the crypto world everything is possible and i wont be surprise to see that happening again to ETH.

Man I think it will be back to highs once the bitcoin price goes back up and the next bull run comes.

No one knows if that's possible to happen but if bitcoin goes back on bulls then ETH probably will.

to return to $ 1400 may take a long time, but can be optimistic if doing long-term savings is not good because the decline or increase in prices can occur at any time. so I think the increase is unpredictable.

I agree, but this is cryptocurrencies which it has the ability to return as quickly as possible. There's a lot of factors that may affect the price but one thing for sure, it will definitely be will increase as the years goes by.

they need to solve there scailing issue, lots of people losing faith which is killing the price under 200 now ick, if they can figure it out it will come back but not looking good at the moment.

wow, you are a person who is patient and thinks positively coin prices Ethereum returns to its peak of $ 1400, I personally feel sorry for you and hope that hopefully it can recover, but seeing this sharp decline I think it takes a lot of time to be able to recover and need many investors.

We must be optimistic that the final moment of last year will surely be repeated again, I am still relaxed to face the reality at this time I also have some ethereum and I will keep it until the price actually returns to normal or at least no loss when removing it.

It will be quite difficult for eth to return to its peak price, if the market continue like this then the chances are very slim, and you will need to wait for a very long time, eth condition is a bit worse than BTC, BTC already show sign of recovery, but eth showing that it would go down deeper

nothing guarantees Ethereum prices will reach $ 1,400, nothing is certain in Crypto, I think this is the right time to buy Ethereum, currently the price of Ethereum is decreasing, buying and holding Ethereum and selling at the right time.

I think it is very difficult to get back to that value. That is when the market was topped and the bubble burst. Like the internet, it takes a long time to grow and recover. Although the price has gone down too low, I still believe in its recovery because Blockchain is a great technology.

Yes market is very volatile so just hodl your horses. It make take a long tome to reach its peak again but let us see how far it can go late 2018. I am assuming when ETF will be approved and many investors will flock again.

and among others, only ETH cannot survive to reach the lowest point of up to 100 $ or ... but I hope you are more patient to maintain your ETH because ETH takes a long time to go to the wild horse market

Crypto is very volatile, anytime it can go up and down suddenly. Indeed ethereum will reach $1,400 and even more, but for the long term and not in the near future. I think you should continue to hold your assets, rather than losing nearly 86% of your initial capital.

You're not alone with that situation as we don't predict the crypto market. I like to be optimistic with this situation that the market will bounce back soon. The timeframe will takes longer but we should don't loss hope that this will return to the top price soon.

I'm sure that ETH will return to 1k+ price but it will take a lot of time... Most likely 1-2-3 years :) So if you can hold your funds calmly, better do that! I'll HODL

I really have crazy questions about this. it was $ 2,500 after $ 1,400 we believed. We were hoping we'd see it in 2018. :) but the whales did not allow it. I think they're lowering the price for big funds to enter the market. we'il be patient.

Crypto market is sometimes unpredictable but most people believe that the ethereum price will return as before. The present is exactly the same as in 2014 where all crypto currencies fell for a long time but after that they returned to 10x

this is what we called manipulation by those pump and dump group which I think the reason why this ETH has drastically fall as those people wants to buy this coin at cheaper price. Yeah this will bounce back once the market will absorb the excess demand. Just be patient.

Off-course it will get back to 1400 and will go someday even higher - to 2800. You should just keep you ETH. + buy more by using margin leverage.

You missed the chance before but now there is a buying opportunity at a low point, the only problem is that there are a lot of holders of ethereum waiting for a good price to dump. All these ICO projects that collected ETH need to cash out, better invest in a different and cheaper platform like LISK / NEO

Ethereum can reach $ 1400. However, no one has dared to predict when that happened. Because they are still analyzing this. But, in crypto we trust! Use a good strategy if you know fluctuating prices. Believe me, ethereum will be $ 1400

IMHO Ethereum will update its ATH again, but the main question is when will it happen? During this year it will go down and buy the end of May 2019 it fall below than $70. Also Ethereum will be able to get to $1400 in the first half of 2021.

Yes, I think that in 2019 Ethereum will update its historical maximum and overcome the mark of $1400.

I also think like that, waiting for the Ethereum price to return $ 1,400 will definitely take a long time, and as you say now is the right time to buy Ethereum because Ethereum prices are experiencing a price decline.

i believe that ethereum can back to around thousand us dollar, but since right now ethereum value was on it lowest point. i think it's gonna take time for ethereum to rise even in a bullrun

Considering the high price of the past, it is thought that it is very easy to rise again, but it seems to take some time.

But i don't think it would be so easy to increase. Because in previous year ETH rate was more than 1400$ is the highest price i have seen ever.
I think in this year crypto market can't be recover price. Just end of the year something growing most probably. But don't expect more thing.

It depends on the market, maybe it'll take 2 to 3 years from this time. When the old generation of investors was discouraged and left the market, the new investors took part, I think it was time for the market to rebound.

there is still a high possibility that ethereum will grow but at least it takes a long time for it to remain optimistic whatever happens and everything will be in the future.

No one knows what will happen but I know what has happened and that's that ethereum went from $300 to $1,400 in three months. Not saying the past predicts there future but its proof that crypto can bounce quickly.

You know, everyone is surprised by this, including me. I always said Ethereum was overhyped, and people seemed to forget the bad history of this coin and how it came into existence, but then I guess it needed price to reflect the value for people to sit up and notice.

People should also see how quickly this type of centralized project gains confidence, and then how quickly it loses it! This is the problem with Ether and other similar coins with leadership. How can you ever believe in it long term when it is led by a few people?

Even so,,, take faith that all coins are down and this is just a bad moment for crypto. Investors will lose interest and move on. Holders will cash out and go back to fiat. And the cycle will begin again.

Yes ofcourse and not only $1400 because more value on ETH in the future. A lot of coins will set their new ATH in the future and ETH is one of them all we have to do right now is buy the dip. Goodluck.

Of course, one day it will happen. History BTC shows that the recovery can take more than two years. The ether differs from bitcoin. And also the ether does not have a long story. So, how long we have to wait is difficult to predict.

No one expected this amount of a drop I think. The drop last for 9 months now. So the chance are very rare to reach the $1500 level for ETH in this year. But unbelievable things happen in this mysterious crypto world. We have another 3 months to finish this year. Let's see what will happen sooner.

The market goes down for a year and I think we also need at least a year for the market to recover. In the next 1-2 years we can see the ETH is 1400$ but in 2018 is impossible. 2018 will still be a downtrend year after we've gone through a great 2017

I'm sure that this year it will be possible to see ETH with a price of more than 1500 dollars. Soon there will be a next jump in prices

maybe not, because ethereum's price was very high and free transactions were also very expensive. but maybe it's priced at $ 500- $ 700. I hope that it will return to the same as the previous year, it is likely that we will not lose much of the value of assets that we have. ::)

The good times are over and now is a bad time. ETH is hurting so many people because they absolutely trust the potential of the coin. I believe it will overcome difficulties and reach $1400 again.

For me this time will be shorter, market will recover and coins will get their good values like in past for me in coming year, 2019 could be a year for crypto like 2017.

I hope that future Ethereum updates will help this coin to regain its investors and great confidence in its project

This is a very difficult possibility. but certainly not impossible. It does not deserve this price. With new and beautiful news, it should rise again.
