Title: Why do people keep saying bitcoin is disappearing?
Post by: Impulseboy on September 26, 2018, 06:49:35 PM
I see this post all the time, people who keep saying that bitcoin will soon disappear or we are about to see the end of bitcoin. I read somewhere that the price of bitcoin this year is not the lowest since bitcoin's inception. It has dipped lower before, if I remember correctly, it was 80% drop. With that in mind, how could people say that bitcoin is about to cease existence? If it can survive an 80% drop, surely it can survive the drop this year, right?

I agree that it was just their techniques to divert other people's mindset, for them to expect changes with bitcoin and they kept on trying to ruin cryptocurrency growth. Bitcoin won't disappear and by those reasons with positive impact to it's community, no reasons for bitcoin to be removed on our decentralized system of crypto. However this can be legal in the future and the demand will continue to rise sophisticatedly.

Just let them think what they want to think. Don't bother them. Even how good and properly you will explained them those "things" why crypto won't disappear, they will stick to their stand that bitcoin or basically all cryptos are bound to end.

Remember that you have lots of reasons to believed that crypto especially bitcoin won't die. Not just a pure speculation and hype but we have a real and technical outlook for that and it will required long writing if we will explained each briefly.

Stay positive. Surely everyone's expectation to bitcoin will happened soon.

Yeah absolutely nothing will happen if we believe to them at least as believers of bitcoin  and crypto currency we are sure that bitcoin will stay longer because of its status, the are many countries adopted and legalized bitcoin it won't just easily toppled.

That 80% drop was years ago, hardly anybody knew what bitcoin was at that time.. Bitcoin is more popular now and people can more easily just dump it. They don't even have to try that hard, because dumps have become an actual thing and are "consistent".

What people say is useless nonsense most of the time. Bitcoin won't cease to exist for a few years at least, because it has support to back it up. There are so many hodlers who are waiting to sell bitcoin at a higher price and bitcoin is slowly getting adopted. So bitcoin won't die all of a sudden.

Yes bitcoin would definitely survive the drop this year and we've been dropping so we just have to accept it.

And for those people that keeps on saying those words loves to spread fud. Just let them say what they want to say as bitcoin bounce back they will soon return and will have that bandwagon effect. Wait until bitcoin recovers again and most of them will keep quiet but some are consistently going to keep saying that.

I laugh at all that nonsense. Seriously, the amount of crap we have to dig through due to all the newbies that entered last year and haven't seen anything of the crypto world, are a total disgrace to everything crypto stands for.

I'm afraid that this is only a glimpse of what we will be going through in the next couple of years. Mainstream adoption has different layers and as time goes by, we'll get to a point at which grandma and grandpa are hooked as well.

While it's difficult to ignore all the nonsense that we are exposed to, it's worth at least trying. It's an utter waste of time digging through all that in an attempt to find worthwhile content and discussions.

The peoples are expecting a new economy so they are all wrongly imagine it will be disappear in future. But real fact all the cryptocurrencies are depends on the Bitcoin support. So once it will disappear automatically crypto technology is disappear in the world. This will be impossible in future because once internet is disappear then only it is possible so I don't take it in my mind.

On Bitcoin Discussion you'll see at least one of these post appear on the front page. Most of them comes from newbies and rarely from people who passionately hate Bitcoin.

how could people say that bitcoin is about to cease existence? If it can survive an 80% drop, surely it can survive the drop this year, right?
They're exaggerating with saying Bitcoin is disappearing. As long as we have miners confirming transactions Bitcoin should be far from over. If they meant the price, altcoins would go first before Bitcoin.

Those are some FUDs if ever you come across to it, if you see satoshi moving his coins that will be the alarming part I suppose. You'll see bitcoin disappearing on 22nd century, by now don't be afraid of that kind of drama posts that mostly on newbies in the crypto space.

We have seen the obituary of bitcoin more than hundred times on the internet. It has survived despite tougher situations. Such statements may be made by either corporate supported media or by big whales who want to manipulate bitcoin price by spreading FUD and encouraging panic selling.

Indeed, at this time the price of bitcoin is not as high as the previous year, but at this time there is no indication that bitcoin will disappear, there is still positive market activity, there are still many new investors who are starting to use bitcoin, I think bitcoin users are still showing a response the positive and it will not happen that bitcoin will disappear as long as there are many old and new users

based on what I have seen in the past couple of years it is mostly because they bought bitcoin at some price (it  doesn't really matter what price) then after a while price didn't act as they wanted to. for example someone might have bought bitcoin last year at $3500 and expected the price to be $50000 by now since some idiot told him online and since it is not and it is $6500 they think it is dying, disappearing or ... of course a big part of it is due to FUD that has always been circulating online in bitcoin related circles.

It's not surprising to see these kind of FUD articles/posts every time the Bitcoin price starts going sideways or stagnates for a long time. It's probably the only time trolls have a reason to start spunning nonsense by writing bitcoin obituaries and whatnot. Best advice would be to ignore those posts and articles you read online, don't feed the trolls.

If it can survive an 80% drop, surely it can survive the drop this year, right?
Absolutely. If anything another drop could mean that a rebound is bount to happen soon and prices will shot up.

After all this time and after the bitcoin has spread so much, it is still unbelievable that these rumors continue. Don't worry, bitcoin's not going anywhere and won't disappear. But I'm sure that those who think negative about bitcoin will decrease day by day.

It is very normal to see people think this way when there is a downtrend and that shows how myopic the level of thinking of some people can be. As long as they keep seeing the space as a way to get rich and are failing to see the benefits the space itself serves in the long term, they will be so focused on the present moment being a problem, rather than looking at the future to be patient for the benefit.

How you see the future is how you determine your present, which is why those who see a great future, rather than seeing a market disappearing, they are seeing the market giving them a chance to get in at a better price, but like I said, we cannot always think alike. As you see some people seeing the positive side to things, some will be seeing the negative side to things.

what is the basis for you to say that and feel confident that it will happen, if what is the basic reason you say it is a price decline in the present, in my opinion it cannot be reasoned to say so, because of falling prices in the world of trade that is the usual thing that prices rise and fall that cannot be separated.

I think the reason people think or say things like that is that they don't understand it. I'm sure there are certain things in life that you don't understand too but the issue about what they don't understand is that, they are still trying to pull it down by their hate speech.

I also believe those haters don't know about the technology called blockchain, talking about the future.

Same as what I believed here mate, that's certainly a rumor behind crypto but the fact was really trusted compared of how those black propagandists tries to ruin bitcoin's future. As I've currently observed the market, it has a good record to show over the performance all over this year. It hasn't affected so bad with the bearish attempt to let the price fall back to be less than $5k, and gladly I am seeing it now climbed towards $7K.

Do you think that FUD is effective in long term growth of bitcoin? Of course not, and remember that this is speculative and open market and anyone can say what they want. Its up to us to really filter out and read between the lines. If you have been in the market for a significant amount of time, you won't be bothered by this non-sense. Well let that be a lessons for those who fall for it. They should make their decisions not based on what others is saying, but learn to decide what's good for you.

No, I have only been in here a couple of months, but I appreciate your advice. Thanks for that. I think you are right. FUD is not, in a slightest bit, effective and helpful in any way. It not healthy either. But you are correct. It is only up to us to decide whether we want to believe it or be bothered by it. I just see this often and ought I would ask.

It is always here and is not going anywhere if you are available here you will get it and by following your best knowledge you will handle it finally you will get all the profit for which you were here. Low price availability is convenience for people to get it on low price and generally buying process should be done in low market so that we may not face any kind of extra use of money besides this it is a type of benefit as well.

Moreover, since all they care about is joining FOMO or panicking because of a downtrend, and selling at loss, they will always come up with a theory on how the market is disappearing.

Yes, many say that bitcoin will die and disappear. I think that is because they think from the beginning that bitcoin will continue to grow and to gain profits easily. They only prepare themselves for profit but they forget to prepare themselves to face the risk of bitcoin. I think those who have patience can survive and those who don't have patience they will leave.

Do no hear them. They are people who yell "WE ARE GOING TO DIE" in the movies as well. Just calm down and take a look at the data you have, as sherlock holmes said (sir arthur conan doyle said ?) "if you have all the data available than you can predict what happened and what will happen". Look at crypto, look at bitcoin, do you think something as big as this and as huge and valuable as this can disappear ?

It worth like a trillion dollars in cap in December, that is same as apple disappearing tomorrow, do you think apple can disappear soon ? I do not think so, I think we will go stronger each year.

By seeing continuously bitcoin's down, many people become panic, that's why they are making posts about their fear. They are expressing their fear! I don't take their statement seriously. Because they will be happy if bitcoin starts pumping. Bitcoin will not disappear, if bitcoin hits 4K or 3K USD, then you have to keep your trust strong! Bad time can become worst but after all of these, the good time will come like the Bonjour!

You are absolutely right, why we should rely upon them if they are the haters on bitcoin. We know that this currency has a long existence in a world of crypto and it is proven and tested why we should believe to them. Just ignore them later on if bitcoin will rise again they will knuckle their head of being laziness.
Bitcoin for me is worth it, I do believe in this coin, whatever happens on the price in the market.

If anything, FUD has been really good at making Bitcoin stronger, and stronger. And that's not yet talking about price.

Surely we haven't forgotten about the most recent sustained bout of FUD courtesy of the big blockers/anti Segwit/pro fork throughout 2016 and 2017? In the latter, we even had the threats of China and deliberate spam to create network congestion, compounding the FUD.

Nett effect? Stronger network, faster adoption as mainstream consciousness picks up the extra chatter. Plus the price run which came on top of that.

You ain't seen the moans yet till you see the whites of the eyes of kwuck.

Rather, what I find more worrying is that there are still many members of this forum that, although they are already accumulating hundreds of posts where they share their "knowledge" and experience in the subject of cryptocurrencies, they still openly state their ignorance to base all their uncertainty regarding the future of bitcoin based solely and exclusively on its current price.

Come on!, remember that what has made bitcoin a great event worldwide is the great technological revolution that the concept of blockchain has meant for many areas of the world today, including financial, so I think it is time to wake up our narrow-mindedness to realize that, on the contrary, the incorporation of this technology to our everyday life is a fact and that is great news for bitcoin and all crypto-enthusiasts.

Lol, even I don't care about talking about bitcoin will disappear because in my opinion it's just a joke and a worry, and a high fear due to the collapse of crypto market prices. Maybe they will lose their investment because they have been wrong when buying or maybe they are only spreading negative issues that make many people panic. Because after all, I still believe the crypto market still has the power to get back up and I shouldn't be stuck in a panic that will only make me lose.

You don't need to believe what they say, bitcoin still exists and can still survive. Strengthen your confidence to be patient with bitcoin, because bitcoin can definitely rise.

You're right. If Bitcoin can survive an 80% dumped in price than it will definitely survive this current situations. With that been said, I believe the FUD news you heard about bitcoin was the act of two group (market manipulators and cryptocurrency haters). The best thing to do is to never mind their negative news but hand shake the opportunity it open up for cryptonier.

That is simply because people always get the wrong pictures whenever the market is in a downtrend and then in such moments, you either hear bitcoin is dead or bitcoin is disappearing. Well, that is how they have chosen to see theirs, so I guess in anyway, you cannot always tell people what to think about an issue.

As some would be seeing that staying positive in what is going on, it is certain you will see those who are seeing the problem in what is going on as well. There will always be two parts to a coin, and which part you want to stick with is generally left to you as an individual. Bitcoin is the need of modern era. If internet and mobile transactions will disappear then the need of bitcoin also will disappear. Bitcoin is going to stay with us until we need digital payments.

What will be the reason for bitcoin to disappear as this is the leading cryptocurrency with a huge volume everyday? I think those people are not the real investors that really understand the nature of volatility. Only those weak hands will get panic in every dumps of cryptomarket as this is just normal in a speculative investment. Every dumps will give us the opportunity to buy bitcoin at lower price as not as always this will happen.

People keep saying that bitcoin will extinct soon from its creation time and these kind of news will get spread when there is price drops and now the price of bitcoin dropped more than 60% from its all time but still it is hanging at the good range where miners can make some profits so the bitcoin won't dissaper until the miners stop mining it.

Negative people will never run out for one, and two because competition will always try to defame and look down on the other platform so the get even or take a leap of popularity. True investors wont believe on things just being said by other people they test and put themselves to experience first hand. Bitcoin will stay no matter they like it or not.

Some people are very disappointed because they have lost thousands of dollars. They have no more trust in bitcoin and that’s why they say that bitcoin will disappear from the market. Investors will withdraw their money from bitcoin and invest in Altcoin or any other regular business. When the market cap decrease the price will also decrease and finally bitcoin will disappear from the market.

These people are aiming for short-term profits, usually in fiat currency.

Best advice is that you aim for long-term, and stop checking the price every day.

I think the biggest factor that makes them say that bitcoin is disappearing because of the many negative news about bitcoin, as we know that this year there is too much negative news that makes users doubt about the future of bitcoin.

If they hate cryptocurrencies so much perhaps they should not be here in the first place because other people who might be new to crypto might get disheartened. What do you think?

It might be a useful tactic for altcoins and tokens supporters, but for bitcoin seriously :-\
Bitcoin will never disappear till the Internet is working.
Long-term holding is good but the best option is to sell whenever it is high and buy with your profit whenever it is low.

It's just a rumour created by the frustrated people who lost money, or some party tried to manipulated the price, Bitcoin won't be that easy to disappear, some countries already legalized crypto and with darkweb using Bitcoin, I think we still able to say Bitcoin will survive for a long time
They're wrong bitcoin can never  disappear because no one can control it there's no way to destroy or take it down. Just leave them and concentrate on your invest.

Those are some FUDs if ever you come across to it, if you see satoshi moving his coins that will be the alarming part I suppose. You'll see bitcoin disappearing on 22nd century, by now don't be afraid of that kind of drama posts that mostly on newbies in the crypto space.
In my opinion it is totally fake news and the facts are something else. With the passage of time the value of bitcoin will increase in the market. People will put their money in it, market cap will go up and thus the price of bitcoin will also rise. Don’t be panic and be optimistic about the future of bitcoin. Build your trust and don’t give attention to such ambiguous news.

I think that is not true and that is just false news, this bitcoin will never disappear, bitcoin will probably disappear if humans have disappeared which means it is a doomsday, bitcoin will be a treasure that is very difficult to solve because the encryption of bitcoin is so powerful it won't be easy to disappear.

This is the start of FUDs for bitcoin. There have been countless times wherein bitcoin is being the target of fake news and negativity, but BTC has proved to be resilient and if it has been adapted by the public due to its unique features which will be innovative in the way we transact with crypto currencies, there is no other way for its price but to go upwards.

If people are saying because the price is falling let me remind them that bitcoin is still alive and the price is still up where they were when the price was below 1000$ ?.

And it is that short term profit mentality and the idea of wanting to get rich quick that has made so many people to miss lifetime opportunities, or probably make the wrong market decisions. People will say anything negative as long as something is not going the way they please and as long as they have no understanding of the general market and the fact that downtrends are normal entirely. This is the reason why they will always panic sell most of the time, and then blame whales for an actions they have stupidly made. Any long term holder surely knows the reason why they are targeting the long term. Something a lot of people find hard to know.

Bitcoin can still be used and bitcoin can still provide benefits, so it's wrong if they say bitcoin disappeared. They say bitcoin is lost because they fell because of a bad market, they can't overcome their frustration and say bitcoin is lost.

They might not know really well BTC, we might only after the price not by the benefits. Thought the price is quite frustrating but that's how the market goes there are times the price falls.

It is not like they are haters, they are just some frustrated short term profit makers who are looking for a quick way to get rich and since all the promises they kept in their head of bitcoin mooning, and probably, bitcoin hitting $100million at some point, and they would get extremely rich is one of the reasons why they will always end up saying that a market in a downtrend is disappearing because people like this are always bound to join FOMO and as long as they keep buying the peaks and seeing the bottom as a problem when they should be doing the opposite, they won't change.

Any long term holder surely knows the reason why they are targeting the long term. Something a lot of people find hard to know.
Long term holders have opted for that, only because of they are not having any doubt on the future of bitcoins. If you suspect something which may last only for short term then you may come here for asking similar to OP is doing. Believe into the new things that bitcoin has brought to us then you may avoid such questions.

Bitcoin has fallen more than 50% this year, but I don't think it means death or end. On the contrary, I think the bitcoin price drop will attract more investors, and the bull market will come sooner!

I just heard this, there is a missing word meaning missing here means that it disappears, it can't be used up, we see bitcoin is still running, people still use bitcoin, the problem of price reduction does not mean that bitcoin will disappear or it means bankruptcy, the price decline is common not just bitcoin, another currency can go down, feed prices go up and down.
