I see this post all the time, people who keep saying that bitcoin will soon disappear or we are about to see the end of bitcoin. I read somewhere that the price of bitcoin this year is not the lowest since bitcoin's inception. It has dipped lower before, if I remember correctly, it was 80% drop. With that in mind, how could people say that bitcoin is about to cease existence? If it can survive an 80% drop, surely it can survive the drop this year, right?
What will be the reason for bitcoin to disappear as this is the leading cryptocurrency with a huge volume everyday? I think those people are not the real investors that really understand the nature of volatility. Only those weak hands will get panic in every dumps of cryptomarket as this is just normal in a speculative investment. Every dumps will give us the opportunity to buy bitcoin at lower price as not as always this will happen.

People keep saying that bitcoin will extinct soon from its creation time and these kind of news will get spread when there is price drops and now the price of bitcoin dropped more than 60% from its all time but still it is hanging at the good range where miners can make some profits so the bitcoin won't dissaper until the miners stop mining it.

Negative people will never run out for one, and two because competition will always try to defame and look down on the other platform so the get even or take a leap of popularity. True investors wont believe on things just being said by other people they test and put themselves to experience first hand. Bitcoin will stay no matter they like it or not.

On Bitcoin Discussion you'll see at least one of these post appear on the front page. Most of them comes from newbies and rarely from people who passionately hate Bitcoin. how could people say that bitcoin is about to cease existence? If it can survive an 80% drop, surely it can survive the drop this year, right?
They're exaggerating with saying Bitcoin is disappearing. As long as we have miners confirming transactions Bitcoin should be far from over. If they meant the price, altcoins would go first before Bitcoin. Some people are very disappointed because they have lost thousands of dollars. They have no more trust in bitcoin and that’s why they say that bitcoin will disappear from the market. Investors will withdraw their money from bitcoin and invest in Altcoin or any other regular business. When the market cap decrease the price will also decrease and finally bitcoin will disappear from the market.

These people are aiming for short-term profits, usually in fiat currency.
Best advice is that you aim for long-term, and stop checking the price every day.

I think the biggest factor that makes them say that bitcoin is disappearing because of the many negative news about bitcoin, as we know that this year there is too much negative news that makes users doubt about the future of bitcoin.

You're right. If Bitcoin can survive an 80% dumped in price than it will definitely survive this current situations. With that been said, I believe the FUD news you heard about bitcoin was the act of two group (market manipulators and cryptocurrency haters). The best thing to do is to never mind their negative news but hand shake the opportunity it open up for cryptonier.
But if there are group of haters here in this very forum, I have no idea why they joined in the first place? If I hate something I do not seek them to only spread hate. If they hate cryptocurrencies so much perhaps they should not be here in the first place because other people who might be new to crypto might get disheartened. What do you think?

It might be a useful tactic for altcoins and tokens supporters, but for bitcoin seriously Bitcoin will never disappear till the Internet is working. Long-term holding is good but the best option is to sell whenever it is high and buy with your profit whenever it is low.

It's just a rumour created by the frustrated people who lost money, or some party tried to manipulated the price, Bitcoin won't be that easy to disappear, some countries already legalized crypto and with darkweb using Bitcoin, I think we still able to say Bitcoin will survive for a long time
They're wrong bitcoin can never disappear because no one can control it there's no way to destroy or take it down. Just leave them and concentrate on your invest.

Those are some FUDs if ever you come across to it, if you see satoshi moving his coins that will be the alarming part I suppose. You'll see bitcoin disappearing on 22nd century, by now don't be afraid of that kind of drama posts that mostly on newbies in the crypto space.
In my opinion it is totally fake news and the facts are something else. With the passage of time the value of bitcoin will increase in the market. People will put their money in it, market cap will go up and thus the price of bitcoin will also rise. Don’t be panic and be optimistic about the future of bitcoin. Build your trust and don’t give attention to such ambiguous news.

I think that is not true and that is just false news, this bitcoin will never disappear, bitcoin will probably disappear if humans have disappeared which means it is a doomsday, bitcoin will be a treasure that is very difficult to solve because the encryption of bitcoin is so powerful it won't be easy to disappear.

This is the start of FUDs for bitcoin. There have been countless times wherein bitcoin is being the target of fake news and negativity, but BTC has proved to be resilient and if it has been adapted by the public due to its unique features which will be innovative in the way we transact with crypto currencies, there is no other way for its price but to go upwards.

If people are saying because the price is falling let me remind them that bitcoin is still alive and the price is still up where they were when the price was below 1000$ ?.

And it is that short term profit mentality and the idea of wanting to get rich quick that has made so many people to miss lifetime opportunities, or probably make the wrong market decisions. People will say anything negative as long as something is not going the way they please and as long as they have no understanding of the general market and the fact that downtrends are normal entirely. This is the reason why they will always panic sell most of the time, and then blame whales for an actions they have stupidly made. Any long term holder surely knows the reason why they are targeting the long term. Something a lot of people find hard to know.

Bitcoin can still be used and bitcoin can still provide benefits, so it's wrong if they say bitcoin disappeared. They say bitcoin is lost because they fell because of a bad market, they can't overcome their frustration and say bitcoin is lost.

They might not know really well BTC, we might only after the price not by the benefits. Thought the price is quite frustrating but that's how the market goes there are times the price falls.

It is not like they are haters, they are just some frustrated short term profit makers who are looking for a quick way to get rich and since all the promises they kept in their head of bitcoin mooning, and probably, bitcoin hitting $100million at some point, and they would get extremely rich is one of the reasons why they will always end up saying that a market in a downtrend is disappearing because people like this are always bound to join FOMO and as long as they keep buying the peaks and seeing the bottom as a problem when they should be doing the opposite, they won't change. Any long term holder surely knows the reason why they are targeting the long term. Something a lot of people find hard to know.
Long term holders have opted for that, only because of they are not having any doubt on the future of bitcoins. If you suspect something which may last only for short term then you may come here for asking similar to OP is doing. Believe into the new things that bitcoin has brought to us then you may avoid such questions.
