Title: Is bitcoin investors more focus than altcoin investors?
Post by: CREDITPAY on September 28, 2018, 02:40:47 PM
Hi, I'm a crypto developer doing dapps and blockchain-related software products.
I have found some interesting difference between bitcoin investors and altcoin investors.
It seems like bitcoin holders(like you guys) are more focus when discussing news and crypto-related issues.
Altcoin holders are more...how do I put this....more impatient and cannot focus on any subject for more than 3 days.
What do you think of this phenomenon?

In a way, it's less about the difference between Bitcoin and altcoin "investors" and more about the difference between people who are invested for the right reasons and those who are merely speculating.

There aren't that many altcoins which will genuinely disrupt the more traditional industries or improve the world in any meaningful way for the average person.  Most altcoins exist primarily as speculative assets, so it stands to reason that "investors" (read: speculators) would have a shorter attention span.  Once the hype has died down, it's time to cash in and move on to the next shiny collection of buzzwords and gimmicks and pump that one instead.  The motivation there is greed.

Bitcoin fulfills an actual purpose.  Some people invest not just with their money, but with their belief and aspirations.  They invest their time and understanding, which are often far more valuable.  They invest in it for the ethos and not just the potential profits.  They recognise that freedom and privacy are important qualities that need to be preserved in a world that appears to be undermining them.  The motivation is a little more wholesome and genuine.  Definitely something to stick around for.

This is a pretty interesting phenomenon. Because Bitcoin has only one platform and has not been upgraded for years, it does provide a sense of security and investors only want to discuss its price. The altcoins always change quarter by quarter and that has created a special color in this forum. :D

Because crypto related news will also have an impact on the price of bitcoin, in this case, because bitcoin is one of the major pairs of all cryptocurrencies.
because basically between altcoins and bitcoin is a correlation that cannot be separated.

But in essence, most investors in bitcoin believe that bitcoin will have a good future and will still be able to continue to grow.

You have to see that Bitcoin has a greater number of users and many of them are big investors, so they analyze with more care the market trends or the changes that may occur, on the other hand, the altcoins still do not reach the level of participation high that is expected.

I think this can be said to he because of price values, difference and market dominance. As a Bitcoin holder, you know your asset controls the whole market to a high percentage. So you will want to keep an eye on it and follow every news and price movement. Altcoins holders are only waiting for massive price increase most times. So most people just buy and set a sell order base on the price range they feel it might reach.

Bitcoin investors are more about the acceptance and regulations into modern financial and real world use. Most altcoin investors are looking for the next big thing and are under the assumption that Bitcoin can be dethroned by any random altcoin.

Yes you are right in here. Maximum altcoin holders or traders look to BTC price and its characteristics also. They think that if BTC price up, alt price also will up. But last 6 months we see its opposite direction in market. BTC trades has not alternative options that they can depend on. They directly think for invest .

I too would sure focus in bitcoin than with Altcoins, Because you can be sure with bitcoin that is the first Cryptocurrency ever make to really make it big and even if you had traded with it in a longer-term you can be really sure that your investment will increase after a lot of years to past, I really don't doubt bitcoin and I would exchange all of my Altcoins for bitcoin that is for sure to really enhance even further the value of bitcoin, And to strengthen its potential.

Anyone investing funds in a project should be profit oriented, this includes regular research ant staying updated, technical and foundamental analysis.
Those (bitcoin and altcoin investors) who are not focused on the factors are likely going to lose out.

The thing is, most(definitely not all) of the altcoin investors are investing in certain coins because they're looking for the sort of "next big thing", hoping for some altcoins to reach the same price as bitcoin, even with coins like XRP without taking into consideration the huge circulating supply.

Bitcoin holders though? It's either one of two things.
  • 1. The holder is a realistic person and invested in pretty much the safest "investment" in the cryptocurrency space: bitcoin. Why? Simply because the other coins and tokens are no where near bitcoin in terms of security and adoption. Yes, not on speed. But honestly speed isn't the most important thing, especially compared to security and decentralization.
  • 2. The holder simply doesn't know that other cryptocurrencies exist.

Whether or not you think investing in altcoins is stupid or not, there are definitely good traders out there making huge gains on short-term investing on altcoins.

Most of the altcoin investors are bitcoin investors too they invested on altcoins when they want to make some short term profits then they will invest their profits ampunt into bitcoin again to make the long term profits. There are differecnce between bitcoin and altcoin investors such as most of the altcoin investors were invested on that for trading purpose but there are some bitcoin investors who really want to spent their bitcoin.

It seems like bitcoin holders(like you guys) are more focus when discussing news and crypto-related issues.

This is because most of the people who invest in bitcoin have noticed that the price increases when there is good news, that is why people pay a lot of attention in the news or, rather, people pay attention in the news channels.

Altcoin holders are more...how do I put this....more impatient and cannot focus on any subject for more than 3 days.

Altcoins has "owners", people who hold lots of coins and who decide the direction the project is going to take and as if that is not enough altcoins have many investors who have invested in the project and expect a profit, they demand immediate results and when no immediate results are given, investors leave the boat, see cases like LISK, Siacoin and STRATIS

What do you think of this phenomenon?

The key words are: profits and investments

yes, because they (altcoins) know very well that altcoins are only supporting coins that have a period of popularity not like bitcoin.
most people who talk about bitcoin are very serious and very enthusiastic because bitcoin has a good future that differs from 180 ° to altcoin.

It is true that bitcoin investors want more than the altcoins because they are considering the price but dont forget that altcoins investor are wise investors. Bitcoin is only a base currency for most altcoins including ethereum. Altcoins have more potentials than bitcoin because it will continue to grow but altcoins growth will be more sporadic than bitcoin.

in my opinion, cryptocurrency investors will choose to take advantage of opportunities that will get these investors to gain profits and what cryptocurrency investors might be able to survive with just one coin

Of cause the holders of bitcoin are more of the focus than dose of cryptocurrency investors because the market of crytocurrency is very weak the dip in the crypto market gets investors panic

Title: Re: Is bitcoin investors more focus than altcoin investors?

it all comes down to the main purpose of each of these cryptocurrencies.
bitcoin's main purpose has always been to become a decentralized payment system that doesn't require any middleman, in short a currency. and people (even those who invest in it only) will eventually see that true purpose and want that too on top of the profit they are making.

but the main purpose of majority of altcoins, specifically the ICO tokens, have been profit making. so everyone who gets involved with them will eventually only focus and care about making profit. as a result all the discussions will also be focused on making profit.

for example you can visit altcoin board and even search about altcoins. you rarely find anything technical about any of them and the discussions are never about anything but price. but searching about bitcoin you can always find hundreds of topics, discussions, videos, wiki pages,... dedicated to technical discussions.

Timing also has some influence on the behavior of some Alt coin investors. The thought about this is the time when you entered the Bitcoin scene. The early investors is in no rush to make massive profits, because they already made some good profits with the last ATH in 2017, so you will find that they will dabble in Alt coins, but not aggressively like some new Crypto currency investors.

The majority of the new Crypto currency investors are all over the place, because they also want to cash in on a ATH and that is why they are scrambling all over the place, to find the next "Bitcoin" in all the 1000's of Alt coins.  ::)

They can't take it if they see their altcoin portfolio falling.

Bitcoin investors are more experienced and patient than the altcoin holders. And day trading usually happens to the altcoins though there are more with bitcoin with its daily volume but its more applicable to the altcoin investors.

It all depends really as many Bitcoin holders are altcoin traders and they play with altcoins to increase their miltipliers and grow their Bitcoin stash. I do agree to some extent that those who only play with altcoins have a tendency to be impatient but it is also this younger generation that feels entitled in many ways and have bigger expectations than say our generation had when we were young. Now many people want fast money and Lambos without putting in the work and effort like say we were told to do when we were in our prime.

Most of the alt coin investors are only focus on the profit and not many of them care about the development or adoption, this makes them only think alt coin for short term investment, but for bitcoin most of the people are focusing on long term, so they really care about news and the adoption, bitcoin also is the core of crypto that got important role, so most people really update their knowledge about bitcoin

I believe that this behavior is more dependent on the investment strategy. Those investors who invest in long are calmer, they do not follow the price at all now. And those investors who invest in short-term - always have cause for concern.

what you and most answers in this topic are missing is the fact that "altcoin investors" are not different people in a different  category! they are the same people as "bitcoin investors". you can even say they are a sub category. in other words every altcoin investors is a bitcoin investor too but every bitcoin investor is not an altcoin investor.

with that in mind everything changes. it is not the behavior of different people that is different. it is the different market that demands a different behavior from them.

Altcoin holders are more...how do I put this....more impatient and cannot focus on any subject for more than 3 days.
What do you think of this phenomenon?

Based on what I observed and see in price changes of cryptocurrency, the most negative impact are always on altcoins where I can say that half of them already wiped the price for over -75% starting from june. Same goes with unlike bitcoin where it only reduced the price less than 70%.

With that said, altcoin holders are more impatient and dump their altcoins most of the time when the market is in red. Most investors preferred to hold bitcoin for long term because we are always looking for that prediction where it could reach more $100,000 someday. Altcoins was just an alternative to multiply their funds where it will be invested to bitcoin when reaching the target profit.

I think yes because many bitcoin investors over atlcoin.
because many people trust bitcoin with the guarantee of their money being restored or more of their money money. Because not all of the altcoin my prisons are in the market and only some are worthwhile. rather than bitcoin when you invest in small The prize and your long standing before you sell high in price will definitely double the return.

Yes of course the altcoin holders cannot focus, i think it is normal because when you just hold bitcoin, you can focus on bitcoin only.
But if you are owning the altcoins, you must not focus on only 1 coin, but other coins as well because there are many altcoins to choose currently.

No i wouldn't say that, i think you have to follow a strategy for bitcoin but for the altcoins it is totaly different. There are thousands of altcoins and every new day a new one borns. You have to buy or sell your alt coins sometimes Daily or hourly. Also there are many ICO's that you can follow too. But for the bitcoin you have to HODL and wait.

Nope investors nowadays are not only focused on bitcoin instead they are also aiming to get high profit with altcoins. There are altcoins in the market that went well in terms of its market price volatility. There is no wonder about that because all of the investors has seen it through coinmarketcap.com. Though there are few investors who were die hard also for bitcoin and that is only normal for bitcoin is the most trusted crypto in the market.

Cannot say Bitcoin investors are more focused but they are more calmer as altcoin investors are more in panic as they aim at earning profits in the short run and do not invest in altcoins for a longer period. It all depends on how much investment one has made and on the market. Bitcoin is perceived as a more safer investment than altcoins.

I think they are the same, even this should be reversed, altcoin holder is the one who is more patient in holding their assets which of course most altcoin fluctuations in prices are more common than bitcoin. On the other hand, a person's mentality is different because it is a mindset of themselves, not because of the type of coin

not all investors are more focused on bitcoin, this is a matter of taste, those who like bitcoin I think they are pursuing big profits and do not like challenges, but if they are happy to be in altcoin investment. I think they are running changes and using Altcoin to get profit.

We need to focus on any investment. But I think altcoin investors will focus more than bitcoin investors. They need more information and knowledge before investing in altcoin. Most altcoin investors usually invest short for a certain altcoin. They must focus on the highest level possible to make a profit.

Well, it's all relative. But in General, the remark is quite interesting. It seems to me that investors who trust bitcoin rely more on long-term investments, and investors who prefer altcoins participate in shorter-term investments. In any case, you should not be emotional in trading on the market, in whatever currency you invest.

I wouldn't say that because of the fact that most people in this market do not only invest in one coin knowing that the key to having success here is diversity. As much as many invest in Bitcoin, there are surely a lot of people who tries their hands on altcoins too because both coins have different growths, and therefore, they both present different opportunities when investing. I would also say that both require focus in terms of watching over your investments because you'll never know when something might come up that would need for you to either change up or do something about your investments.

be patient and don't be in a hurry. the most important thing is that you start investing when the price is below, so you can easily make a profit. I will convince you that investing in bitcoin is more profitable and makes the heart calm because the value of bitcoin is the most stable among the altcoins.

There are many dapps running on altcoins network. Altcoin can be used for other things aside as a currency. That's why altcoins investors can focus on several things.

I think bitcoin investors is not to worry with their investment because bitcoin price will not spike like 20% or more in 1 night.
So, bitcoin investor will do a long trade before they got profit (this is IMO)

It is specialities of bitcoin, it can't get pumped and dumped so hard like altcoin in market, maybe because a lot of users and not controlled by 1 dev or a big communities like an altcoin do.

Does answering this question prove anything? If we compare Bitcoin investors to altcoin investors, the later will in general be more inclined to trade and sell their coins for a small profit. Bitcoiners are more of a long term holders. You will come to a similar conclusion if you compare Bitcoiners to stock traders. Bitcoiners are more attached to their investment.

According to me, the bitcoin investor are more focused than other altcoins investors and I think they are the only responsible for the success of bitcoin, the success growth of bt is because of these investors, bitcoin has gone through a long journey in this decade as from millions of haters to millions of investors, bitcoin has gone through many ups and downs and faced many difficulties and it is the investors who made bitcoin so successful and popular that it is now on top most positions on crypto ranking.

I think that the number of investors in Bitcoin is a lot bigger than any altcoin's investors. Bitcoin is still the best cryptocurrency and the safest one, and it is more profitable in many ways.
In the other side, there are some altcoins growing up fastly too, like Ethereum and Waves.

This AltCoin's public you mentioned is very similar to Ponzi HYIP schemes public. They want fast profit, probably to double their money in few days, benefiting themselves from the fast pumps some coins offer (and definitive dumps rigth after). Then yes, they are very impatient and think that is how Crypto world works.

However, there are many exceptions, not all AltCoins have the same goals and serious investors can have long term interests on these currencies too, depending how serious the teams behind these currencies look like and how solid are their proposals.

I think you're mistaken as this is not a difference between bitcoins and Alts coins it's between the mentality of different investors at different intervals. While in my case I'm more inclined towards bitcoins, I do like to research and read into it a lot, at the same time I don't like alts however if a alt is promising I'll be more focused on it too, as diversity is sometimes important too, however my major investment will be in bitcoins.

I think altcoin investors are wise investors, even though bitcoin investors want more than altcoin because they consider prices. Bitcoin is only the base currency for most altcoins including ethereum. Altcoins have more potential than bitcoin because it will continue to grow but the growth of the altcoin will be more sporadic than bitcoin.

it is very difficult to determine between focus and not because the situation as it is now looking for investors who believe in what is invested is very difficult in my opinion they are looking for a few coins in their investment

That' the problem and really big difference between, with how bitcoin already proven things for its investors most of the alt coins investors wanted to duplicate that in a short period of time, hoping that developers can make some miracle and fulfill their dreams, but serious projects needs time to fully developed and achieved real intentions for being created as end users are need to be convince for long term success.

Bitcoin has already established its position in todays modern world. The world is just waiting for the adoption of bitcoin to take effect before the world will fully recognize it. So, the focus of bitcoin holders are just the prices and news of innovations and applications. While altcoin investors, aside from the alt prices, worrying about how would the technology behind these altcoins will do in todays world. Do these platforms and technology will have significance? They're thinking of these.

I suppose that people who make informed decisions who are don't hurry to get it all at once invest in Bitcoin more.
At the same time, those who prefer altcoins, first of all, buy them because of the desire to make money fast. And I can attribute this quality to impatient people who find it difficult to concentrate on one thing for a long time. Also, such people put their minute desires above the global goal.

I didn't want to offend anyone.

Bitcoin investors believe in bitcoin because this is the first crypto and has been tested for 10 years. Many become millionaires from bitcoin throughout the world. I think bitcoin investors are more focused because they believe that one day bitcoin will become a digital currency used globally, while altcoin will fall due to a lack of investors. This belief arises because the popularity of bitcoin and the price of bitcoin tends to be corrected naturally.

This still depends on that certain investor.

There are a lot of types of investors and most of them are obviously, serious with their investment. The thing is that most of them are not really focused on one investment since if they will be doing that, they will be missing other investments or cryptocurrencies they can invest into. We should do the same, there are a lot of fish to catch so we should not focus into one.

Altcoin and Bitcoin investors have similarities as well as differences. I think this is quite logical, since altcoins are sold much more often, and investors need to get rid of them quickly enough to have time to earn. On the contrary, bitcoin is more used as a long-term investment and the whole decision to sell it is carefully thought out.

yes of course we have to pay attention to this matter because investing in these two coins is very important and there are lots of coins that are profit. if we are just careful, I think it's lacking, we also have to stay focused on the coins that we hold so as not to lose or lose, so be careful and stay focused we must prioritize.

This might be the case because Bitcoin is more valuable and you could lose more than with altcoin. I know some investors that invest in altcoins as a some kind of hobby and Bitcoin is their primar interest. They choose few altcoins they think are promising to invest but in small amounts so they are not so burdened if this will be profitable or not.
But to my opinion you have to pay attention on every investment you make, everything that you put your money on because this should be precious for you.

Altcoin prices can go up and down without having to be influenced by the price movements of bitcoin.

In calculation, Bitcoin investors need more funds so they try to make bitcoin a serious investment. Unlike Altcoin, altcoin investors usually lack a lot of funds so they try to speculate to try to make a profit if they sell it later, usually Altcoin investors will look for coins from ICO projects that have various attractive discount offers. That is in my view, but I will have other responses because each opinion is of course different.

Altcoin investors most of the time are traders, unlike in bitcoin most of the people who has good knowledge about bitcoin will just hold no matter what happen.

I prefer altcoins much better than bitcoins

At this moment if bitcoin price go dowm It can't be unstoppable and it will depend on the price of the market.
So you are saying that altcoins is better than bitcoin right now.

An investor is someone that wants return on his or her investment, so much concerned about maximizing profit, that's the only thing an investor crave for, weather bitcoin or altcoin both investors are focused, profit minded and emotional too. So i don't think there is a more focus investor from both sides.

Somehow, yes as bitcoin is the main topic of cryptocurrencies place. However, investors are also interested to other sources that can possibly give them enough profit. Altcoins with good platforms can attract the attention of investors. Whether bitcoin or altcoins investment it is the same business which proper strategy matters.

Bitcoin investors seems to have more focus , patience and strong will , belief about cryptocurrency too.

A long understanding of the crypto currency market, every investor believes the bitcoin price movements affect altcoin price movements. So as when the price of bitcoin rises or decreases they will decide the same thing to sell and buy against their investments in altcoins. This is way, why do you see bitcoin investors more focused than altcoin investors.

yes because bitcoin is more serious due to the fact that bitcoin has a higher base value . you better decide carefully on your decisions because once you already process a transaction , you cannot revert it anymore  . while altcoins on the other hand are more cheaper . thats why its not really a huge loss if ever you have done a wrong move  .   when it comes to double type investors  i guess they were more foccus  than compared to a single typer   .

Yes I believed bitcoin investors have a reason why they invested on Bitcoin aside the profits aspect which is the main aim of most Altcoin investors. Bitcoin is the highest cryptocurrency today because the people who invested on it believe in it a lot to the extend of not panicking even when the crypto market is unstable, not like altcoin investors who always go panic and dump any time the market go down a bit.

We cant blame the altcoin investors of being panicker’s because they are not that confident of handling those alts since they are buying those just for easy money or quick cash

WHile bitcoin investors specially we as holders are confident and have a good trust for this number 1 cryptocurrency

This is because bitcoin is more important to people. This is the first cryptocurrency and it is very promising. Among the altcoins, few are worthy of attention. Therefore, bitcoin is valued more than altcoins among investors.

Yes, of course, when somebody starts to speak about the cryptocurrencies, all think about Bitcoin first of all. Only the guys, who work as the crypto traders remind the other altcoins, such as Ethereum, Monero, etc.

most people, especially traders, think more about short-term where they prefer altcoin as their source of profit. But they will return to bitcoin if the trend is indeed possible to return bullrun. There is a temporary cycle that continues to rotate, so I'm not sure if at present the majority of traders are only focused on bitcoin.

You really don't have to much attention to bitcoin it is already done and only those forks from it are the only thing that makes new improvements. And also in altcoin which is not even close to the product that they promised to offer their investors and take note that traders hold several of them.

focus on one place will be more profitable.

So they should be really careful when they are investing on altcoins and new projects since it might a scam being directed by scammers.

Every altcoins have got a direct or indirect connection with the bitcoin. Bitcoin investors try to keep up the trading volume without sudden fluctuations. This is a must with other altcoins as well, but some altcoins were funded by limited number of investors and the same will let the asset grow gradually, while with some the investors suddenly move large volume of funds to bitcoin or other digital currencies letting the altcoins fall in no time.

I do agree. In terms of hodling, btc investors are more passionate and serious since they knew that the coin they're holding has a very bright future and they don't want to miss the opportunities it could bring. While on the other hand, alt investors tend to pump and dump only like what you've said.

But in terms of trading I think the opposite happens — alt investors are more focus than the other. Alts are less stable than btc so they really need to exert more time and effort in order to make profits

Well, firstly, the Bitcoin community is far more solid and huge as compared to any altcoin community. If you consider the overall altcoin community, you cannot expect them to be that consistent and united because altcoins are composed of more than a couple of thousands specific projects. And each of these projects have also their own smaller communities, a world smaller than Bitcoin's. Aside from that, Bitcoin is a tested and proven project whereas most of the altcoins are not. And in fact, those that came rather late are not as committed or pure as compared to Bitcoin and other early altcoins. Many of them in fact are scams and trashy ones even if legit.

The nature of altcoins is what caused this, bitcoin has been around for 10 years and it will surely be around for many more years, but when it comes to altcoins you do not know when the altcoins in which you have invested will disappear and so you need to always be on top of everything that is happening to that coin so you do not lose your money.

This is not surprising. Alternative cryptocurrencies appear and disappear every day.
People have too many sources of information and investment opportunities. The process of investing in alternative cryptocurrencies speaks of the desire for quick (and not stable) earnings.

Of course, bitcoin investors are more  focus, determined and dogged on bitcoin more than altcoin investors. The reason is crystal and categorically clear. We have seen many altcoins vanish with no one to hold accountable. We have seen many altcoins that were among the top coins for past five years vanish, and no investors will like to see his money liquidated.
Many investors know that bitcoin have been subjected to intense bear market, but at the end of everything bitcoin keeps on waxing stronger.on the other hand bitcoin is paired with many cryptos and that alone gives bitcoin an added advantage.interms of massive adoption, bitcoin have a greater percentage of being accepted by the world and companies compare to other Cryptos.so,there are many reasons bitcoin investors are holding onto bitcoin than altcoins investors.

I think their attention is just scattered. They have to study many currencies at once, which are constantly changing, have some problems, or even turn out to be fraud. It's quite difficult and I think that's why investors in altcoins are so nervous.

Altcoins are more prone to fluctuations, events with altcoins occur much faster. And so such investors need to be able to respond quickly to changes and study a large amount of information in a short time. This is how they differ from bitcoin investors.

Title: Re: Is bitcoin investors more focus than altcoin investors?

Perhaps this is really caused by a greater concentration of events in the world of altcoins. But I think it depends on the investor himself. Very few people invest only in bitcoin, many also have a few other coins. And they are quite cope with a large flow of information about bitcoin and altcoins. Basically, investors in altcoins and investors in bitcoins are the same people.

Bitcoin investment can't be compared with other alt-coin, mostly for a short time investing, therefore bitcoin is number one crypto currency on every exchange platform in crypto industries, secondly investing in alt-coin has a very high risk, because alt-coin can be fall, by price drop for a long time.

Discussing crypto investments will not reach a point of mutual agreement, because some of them want to focus on technology and other parts want to get instant profits. Investment in bitcoin and altcoin is like speculation that has no end because speculators definitely want prices to go up even though in reality their technology hasn't arrived at the function that many people want. So, in my opinion. if you want to invest in bitcoin it's good and for altcoin it should be used as a short trade.

bitcoin is only single but altcoins have a lot of different types/kinds therfor i believe many people will invest on altcoins  .

altcoin is basically very interesting, but the risk of altcoin is much higher.

altcoins are not highly volatile compare to bitcoin therfor they are less risky but you must be careful on choosing them because as i said earlier there were many kinds of alts  and some of them are unrated  .

investment in bitcoin is much more attractive and now the number of places that accept payments via bitcoin has increased.

theres no difference at all between alts and btc infact alts are more attractive imo because they are cheaper and have a lot of varieties to choose from  . however btc might be popular because it is the first and the main stream crypto  .  soon alts will also be included in major payment systems  .

If you have observed it, it could be because altcoins refers to more than just one digital coin. Which could be a factor why people do not have so much focus and because bitcoin is the leader or first coin then probably all eyes are set on it. We can always see that when values of bitcoin drops a little, other altcoins follow immediately which means that bitcoin serves as a reference for pricing and on analyzing market movements for cryptocurrency.

Crypto investors always keep abreast of profitable price developments, not focusing on one coin.
They buy coins that provide benefits, both short and long term.
When there are those who think investors are more focused on bitcoin, because bitcoin is the first and most famous coin.

Bitcoin investors are quite different from every other cryptocurrency investors as this set of investors invested their time, understand and belief. While some are just here to make profits going from one crypto coin to the other once the profit is out they go to the next available coin which they hope to get some profit quickly just like that.
Some invest based on hype those set of investors usually run at lost because they invest based on what they hear not what they know about that particular coin.
Bitcoin is not just used in the decentralized system but also has real world usage which are the best quality that liquidate any currency, which makes it the KING and the leading coin in the blockchain industry.

There is in fact a line, there are many investors that do not invest in anything but in bitcoin and they see almost every other coin as a coin without any merit and when you see thousands of useless altcoins is difficult to argue with them, so make no mistake there are those that will never touch an altcoin and while they are missing in some great profits they are also missing in many of the losses that many investors got.

Personally, it seems to me that this is a stereotype. Fanatics are everywhere. It seems to me that focusing on Bitcoin alone is also not entirely rational. I keep both bitcoin and some altcoins. If something goes wrong, I will be ready for it. Those who put everything on one cryptocurrency are at great risk of losing some of the money. Although the likelihood that something goes wrong always remains 50/50

I think the focus for bitcoin than altcoin's comes naturally due to bitcoin's demand, popularity and high value because when the commodity becomes more and more valuable and gives a good return on investment investors naturally tends to focus on it than focusing on less beneficial once and that is a major fact why unlike altcoin investors bitcoin holders and enthusiast are very serious when discussing regarding market matters and other related news

Bitcoin investors are more focused as the price of bitcoins is higher compared to altcoins and there is good potential for the price of bitcoins to increase 10x times more than the current in a years time whereas that is not the case with altcoins as altcoins are following bitcoins pattern and the price of altcoins is determined by the price of Bitcoins.

Right.Bitcoin investors are full of determination and focus because they know exactly that bitcoin has full of potentials that will give us huge income once the market increases its price again. With altcoin investors, they are more dependent on bitcoins knowing the fact that altcoins are only considered followers of the path of bitcoin.

It is often to know that bitcoin price change will bring the entire market into another phase. It is obvious that more people were on bitcoin side than of altcoins cause of its potentiality and gaining factors.
Altcoins isn't totally a followers to bitcoin as not all of them rises when btc pump, some of them remain at ease cause it only depend on investors choice that lift up any Altcoins in the market.

Since Bitcoin is superior to altcoins and has a high market cap, it gets almost all attention. Altcoins mostly have a small group of people who are interested and to get more attention for them is a difficult task. Also, bitcoin investors speds more time on the net.

We only focused on bitcoin if we hold some bitcoin but if not then why focus too much on bitcoin? I think this will just depend on you, base on your holdings and the style of your trading. Some altcoins traders/investors also looking at the price of bitcoin because it can affect the market when its price pumps and dump.

I think this is natural. indeed, bitcoin investors with altcoin investors are different. it is more hard working for bitcoin investors. because until now bitcoin is harder to find than altcoin. so it takes a long process and hard work for bitcoin investors

I agree it is natural. A lot of times the rate of investors only seeking profit is higher for altcoins than with Bitcoin due to the different potentially future uses Bitcoin can bring and also having the highest potential towards mass adoption in the future.

Also getting Bitcoins is not that easy like you said, since no airdrops around now and mining is being pretty tough right now and will only halve in the rate Bitcoins are mined over time.

Also only the main ones will be accepted at first and Bitcoin will always be inside there.

Honestly I am not looking on my altcoins investor frequently, it will just upset me every time as my altcoins investment is going down.
But I never loss my hope because I have seen many times that altcoins drop but it still recovers, I would say thanks to bitcoin as it's the one who always initiate the rise first and then altcoins will just follow.

We see a lot of news about the blockchain that tells about bitcoin, while the stories about Altcoin are just a few that many people can find. In addition, when talking about crypto currencies, most of them will lead to bitcoin instead of seeing others, besides that bitcoin has also been more widely known to many people and they believe that bitcoin is able to provide big profits to them. Maybe that's what causes Bitcoin investors to be more focused than Altcoin investors.

Well I guess they get more familiar and used to bitcoin rather than in any other coin such as Alcoin, they thought bitcoin is much more easy to trade in or more profitable than altcoin and also many investor wants bitcoin rather than altcoin, for they they will have better profit and more larger scope they would have rather than altcoin who need more to develop.

Bitcoin is very known currency but we cannot tell that investors in Bitcoin is more focus than Altcoins investor's,because every investment has a money involved so all the investor's is focused on the investment they made and every investor's have different strategy how they earn profit of their investment.

There are different types of investors. Most of them form portfolio which consists of Bitcoin and altcoins, so they just manage their portfolio. Some of them are hodlers, other try to trade. And it is difficult to say exactly who are more focused... Seems that it depends on personal features of character and the amount of invested funds.

You have to see that Bitcoin has a greater number of users and many of them are big investors, so they analyze with more care the market trends or the changes that may occur, on the other hand, the altcoins still do not reach the level of participation high that is expected.
I agree. Bitcoin is most popular and many investors are focus on investing with it than altcoins because its potential is already there where nothing to worry for the success of it. They believe on bitcoin rather than altcoins because more of them never gain success unlike bitcoin that every improvement give it a success.

Some investors like myself are not only based on bitcoin or altcoin alone I combine the two. So if I where to be focused on one I would also focus on the other but statistically bitcoin investors are focused than there altcoin counterpart
I am not sure what you mean by focus between investors  ??? if someone is shelling out their money they will be cautious, the only difference i find is that people who invest in bitcoin knows it is the focal point of the entire market but the alt coin market is wildly speculative and the risk of loosing out is really huge and risk factor is more compared to bitcoin, majority of the alt coins just have big words and promises and nothing fulfills anything but that is not the case with bitcoin and that is the difference i find.

Bitcoin investors are more focus because it has a vision and that's to decentralized the way money is been handle while the only vision most altcoin has is on how to be the next bitcoin. Altcoin are not worth your time because 99% of them will fail in the next 2-5years

I don't think there is a set investors who are just Bitcoin centered and another set who are altcoins centered. The market is made up of crypto investors which means a Bitcoin investor may also possess different kinds of coins in their portfolio. Every investor is in for the profit, hence follows every project capable of yielding profit at the end of the day.

Don't know. There are actually not so many people who are focused on one coin only. Usually, investors create portfolios consisting of altcoins and bitcoin at the same time.
Perhaps, you've got such an impression, because of the fact, that BTC is considered to be a serious investment and usually people who are interested in crypto, try to follow all the aspects of it and they talk more about bitcoin etc
But it does not mean such people reject altcoins :)

To buy most altcoins you need to hold bitcoins, so it's not easy just to have altcoins. I think most altcoin investors who just hold altcoins on exchanges, will sell there altcoins if they can see profit in there trades.
I think most bitcoins holders who are active traders also trade altcoins, the really big swing trades are done in altcoins.
