Well, I dont think so . It's is like end of the world , We all dont know when it happen and what happen on that day , We must wait and see but i hope it has a higher value 5 years from now.So that, many of us benifits on it specially for those bitcoin strong holder 😊😊.

As cryptos are highly volatile, we cannot make a solid prediction. Even then, we can assure that 5 years from today, bitcoins will have higher acceptance world-wide. The worth of cryptos, especially bitcoins, and the number of projects based on blockchain technology will increase enormously. Regulations on cryptos might get tighter but there will surely be higher acceptance of bitcoins. Society, in general, will prosper by blockchain's implementation.

In fact the most important 2 things your questions are also hidden! More acceptance and price increase (mean volume increase). If the two of them happen, the next period will be very good. I don't think it'il last five years.

if the bitcoin survive for next 5 years i see a higher value of it, because the potential market of crypto will increase  as a result the prices will also be increased.

If you look at the history of bitcoin prices from the first born in 2009 until now in 2018, the price of bitcoin has soared so high. The price of bitcoin that continues to increase every year. So in my opinion, in the next 5 years history will be re-created, namely the price of bitcoin will always increase.

It is way ahead in the future and I think it is too soon to think about it right now, But there is a lot of possible things that can surely happen with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, And in my opinion, All of what you are thinking have possibilities, It can be regulated, and can have a higher value or can actually be popular and in demand with most consumers, But I think we should all think of the now and be thankful for what bitcoin had to achieve.

More acceptance? Yes in 5 years because the acceptance is already growing

Society in general? Yes, more than 10 years .Is going to take a longer time before it will become a general society acceptance because fiat too was accepted differently in countries.

Of course, specially with the next halving coming up, the price could pick around that time 2020 and probably hit ATH again.


On the contrary I see projects popping up like mushrooms in the next 5 years.

5 years from now is a long time to forecast the crypto future. For the crypto market fluctuates at highly volatile rates, you never can predict the next move of the market. But in the coming future I do hope:

Do you see higher values:: Yes! I do. Actually the crypto currency market can never be stabilized and as for 5 years are concerned, i don't see an exact value for bitcoin, because future is very uncertain.

Do you see less projects:: Not really! Increasing number of people are taking interest in bitcoin market and so are the new projrcts coming up to cater the needs of these rising bitcoin population.

Do you see a merger of many projects:: Maybe or maybe not!!

Tighter Regulation:: For tighter regulation, or in fact regulation only, there need to be more acceptance for bitcoin, especially on universal scale.

Society in general:: It is for the bitcoin community to make certain efforts on their part to improve acceptance of the crypto market and also to spread awareness among all others who are not aware of this revolutionary digital era.

I believe in the Darwin theory for the crypto world. There are currently too many cryptocurrencies out there and only a few of them have something new. People will get tired with the useless coins and they wil stop to jump on each new coin they find on coinmaretcap.
Only the good altcoins will stay and the other will be abandoned by people and/or the team

Actually all of us has a lot of questions in our minds but unfortunately it is really hard to answer because there's a fact that we cannot predict what will be happen in the future therefore for now the only thing we can do is to be focus in what are happening in our present or current times. Make a better choice and do better decisions so in the future we can be much successful and ready for the possible things that will be happen soon.

Hey no one can give you a correct answer as no one knows it, Crypto industry is a very volatile industry where nothing is fixed, it's constantly evolving and changing. I believe crypto market will follow the rule, survival of the fittest, the coin who keeps on giving good returns, scarce in value and with a potential for growth will survive. In all scenario bitcoins will always be there. It's difficult to say what kind of regulation if any will come in effect, with the society growing digital we can see more adoption for cryptos.

My thoughts & prediction for the next 5 years are the following. . .


As we all know in 2017 was a breakout year for Crypto-currency every body in their mother was in on the action.


Crypto in general has a real chance of being our future world currency and with great reason to believe one day the GOD father "himself" --> "Bitcoin" the price per coin will surpass to $100,000 per Bitcoin.

In 5 years from now I see much less bullshit ICO's, much less projects/ coins overall and a mass adoption of cryptocurrencies.

First of all i am sure that the scamming problem will fade away in 5 years with the new projects. There are some great project about it. I follow cryptopolice ICO and i am sure they will have success and they will find some solutions about it. And also i can say that the daily marketcap will be more than $100 billions of dollars. There must be some regulations to control new ICOs every minute, currently many ICOs are playing fraud which are required to be traced before they play any foul play, with tight regulations confidence of common people will grow in crypto which will its wider reach, with high demand value of crypto is expected to rise with time.

In 5 years maybe everything already changed too much, because supply bitcoin which is less than now, halving, some regulation from a country, they can make it legal or they can banned bitcoin. No one can actual predict what future of this coin.

It's really hard question to answer cause crypto market is still unstable and unpredictable. But i can say something about blockchain technology and decentralization.
Both of them will be the future of world, if  the crypto involves the system properly , i can say that crypto market can be more higher.

Five years from now is definitely be different the way we are now most especially in crypto. Maybe we can see some changes in the blockchain technology and there would be more acceptance in the community. And maybe we could see the other way around. Who knows, we don't have a crystal ball to predict the future.

I foresee better days with Cryptos in about that five years to come in the sense that Bitcoin especially would have gained more famousity here in accommodating and welcoming more investors that would trigger the more the values of these Cryptos. But would still not have been generally or globally accepted at all in my opinion.

Five years from now BTC will hit around 50K and people will start to invest into it. Governments will now start to accept it as a form of payment and it will also be accepted worldwide.

5 Years is a long time to happen any big things or worst things. Crypto market has changed significantly in a year. We see a bottom to high, high to bottom. In the next 5 years, this high- bottom game will be running continuously. I am not sure about 2023, maybe Crypto will be very high at that time, or crypto was in high place in 2022, not in 2023  ;D Anything can happen actually! I think bitcoin will hit 40K USD and ETH will hit 5K USD, EOS can replace Ripple's place.

Well, in 5 years from now in cryptocurrency, I do see a more regulated and standard market than it is now. I see lesser projects and possible collaborative projects in driving home a more solid project. I see the influence of blockchain being imbibed in the banking and other functioning sectors of living.

There might be a huge changes in the world in over 5 years of existence, so does the crypto too but i don't find what's new in it during that period because it seems to vague to see the future from now. Less project, yes. Even now ICOs are already dropping due to the high amount of scam ICO. People must be tired getting scammed/loss from ICO. I defiantly see higher values, in a nutshell this will coincide with block reward halving, profitable mining and global adoption. Unfortunately I don’t see less projects but I do see less shitcoins being allowed to share the same oxygen with good projects. My opinion would be tighter regulation = more acceptance but it’s a yin yang situation as it would contradict in many instances the very ideologies that brought this space to life. I forsee a revolution taking place in the cryptocurrency space, through government regulations of the crypto space globally this will result into more acceptance of the space,the use of digital currency as a means of transaction online globally, also there will be an extinction to unviable project without a real service to deliver, ICO will rela product/service will increase in value.

Due to numerous ICOs project trying to re invent the wheel by offering same products and services, it will reduce the value investors place on ICO and might lead to less project having access to funds through ICOs. For governments interventions into crypto is likely to happen but can say it might end up in positive move.

It all started with the news that bitcoin allegedly has a vulnerability in the code, and that hackers allegedly hacked the transfer system on the Gox and stole a bunch of bits. Then he announced that Hoxa alleged problems with the translations.

Maybe bitcoin already hit a new ATH by that time or maybe a big downfall too but one thing for sure that bitcoin is still alive 5 years from now. I also think that many more ICO projects will come and most of it are all scams and shitcoins so it will have a bad effect to cryptocurrency. More people will be joining crypto or maybe many will quit so we don't know what will happen.

My resolution: BTC will still remain of first place, its price will be higher than now x3 minimum (you can look at BTC`s price graph for example).
95% of current projects will disappear. Crypto will be a regulated asset in most countries.

My prediction for cryptocurrency after 5 years is that we can use it on our everyday lives and its price will go up to 10k dollars, and I think there are a lot more new altcoins.

Currently, i am investing in an Icos that has a timeline of 5-15 years. I am really sure that this crypto will be like bitcoin in the next decade.  I have this feeling that crypto in 5 years will go boom compare to previous years because maybe half of the people in the world knows what crypto is and how it runs and most of these people might investing in crypto.

It is really very difficult to predict what would happen for the span of next 5 years for the reason that five years can change a lot. I'd like to see BTC price over 50000 USD in five years, it is very achievable given the price history of the bitcoin.

When ever I try to look into the future of cryptocurrency I am always hopeful that the world is going to celebrate this great invention very soon, the entire world is going to adopt cryptocurrency as their secondary currency and the universal currency of the world cryptocurrency in five years from now is going to witness a lot of milestone progress and general acceptability.

5 years from now, I think the best coins will survive the best security guaranteeing everyone to secure transactions using crypto, maybe that will happen

Five years is pretty a long time to make a change especially in the digital field.

I believe there will a general progress (success) of cryptocurrency which would translate to higher value and price for a few serious projects.

I also think the will be less projects because many today already are scam, and it is unlikely that the trend will continue because people will have a deeper understanding  and insight about how things work, and shall endeavour to base their judgements accordingly guided by past experiences. In future, only serious genuine projects may stand the chance of success.

The aspect of a merger of different projects in future or 5 years from now is a probability. But in my opinion, the chances of an occurrence may be 15% or less. This is because a merger of cryptocurrency projects is unlikely to change positively the outcome.

The proliferation of "husk coins" with little or no value at all, but only intended to reap unjustifiably hard earned investors' funds through scam ICOs and similar crypto exchange sites may necessitate government regulations not directed on crypto coins but in most exchanges, as it is being practiced now. Only that the practice may grow strong.

People shall come to accept crypto, one way or the other. And this is projected to grow with time.

The society wouldn't just all at once accept the cryptocurrency era. This will be a gradual process.

I except a world of the cryptocurrency after 5 years. Cryptocurrency will get more acceptance over the world and crypto will be used in many sectors of every sphere of life! I honestly do not know where cryptocurrencies are heading five years from now because I do not see a huge acceptance of it as a whole. It has remained quite stagnant although its values are tempting to some economic brackets. I guess its being decentralized is one reason huge investors do not really gamble on it. What we see now is due to the influx of middle classes who try their luck in investing onto something they think will give them their money's worth. They are otherwise the economy of the crypto market.

It is a well-known fact that many projects offer similar ideas - so why couldn't they just be merged together to reach their goal in the most efficient way? I'm not sure how this will look like from the point of view of tokenomics (it must be tough to decide which of the 2-3-5 circulating tokens should be left), but the final result could be really surprising.

Although, it is sometimes difficult to predict trends in the world of crypto, I believe the future of blockchain technology certainly look great. It all depends on a lot of different factors. The prognosis can be both positive and negative. If as before, tightening of regulation continues and countries begin to ban cryptocurrency, this will have a very negative impact on the price and popularity of the crypto.

It is matter of some time that btc will not only survive it be major currency be used for transfer or making payment etc. Their will be high demand of such coins unless government creates their own coin for the country and promote that coin only to be used. It's quite tough to predict what will happen after 5 years. As a matter of volatility of bitcoin difficult to predict but, I think crypto will be more acceptable and volume of crypto will be increasing by this time. People will adopt more bitcoin and invest in different project as well.
