Litecoin was regarded as silver to Bitcoin. However, its performance is much worse than Bitcoin.
What's your view on Litecoin's future? Will it catch up or continue to underperform?

Worse as it is if you bought it while it was above $300 but just like bitcoin it is still higher than its past years price. Lee is highlighting it on his twitter account so I think he won't leave it and just abandon his coin though it was said that he sold most of his coins during the high prices. Litecoin isn't other coin, I still think this can be considered as a good coin for long term holding.

It's still in the top 10, so it's not doing too much worse than other alts. Personally I think it should be higher than Bitcoin Cash. They do have Charlie Lee who is one of the biggest personalities in crypto... however he seems to shill Bitcoin more than LTC.

Well if you look at the market then you will see that most of the altcoins have a really bad performance when compared to the performance of bitcoin. This does not in any way invalidate the fact that litecoin is a good coin with a very good future, it like all of the other altcoins are just waiting for bitcoin to bull and then we will be seeing new all time highs with all of them

In my opinion all currencies which could be used only for payment, except bitcoin, in the long term will become worthless. We need only bitcoin, some privacy coins and coins like ETH which could be running smart contracts. When bitcoin will solve its scalability issue, then I think there will be no any need in Litecoin.

Litecoin is about to be listed on Gemini exchange so that should give a small pump to the price.   I do like Litecoin though, has good liquidity and it's just faster and cheaper to send small payments with it.  I mainly still use it to send coins between exchanges.   On coinbase, there are no fee's to send LTC.   What you send is what arrives on the other side.

Just because of the recent performance doesn't mean it's not going to do well in the future. Silver hasn't performed as well as gold over time but that doesn't make silver a bad investment, same can be said for litecoin. The last few months will not define things, litecoin is still capable of achieving mass adoption as bitcoin is. Come back in a few years time and let's see if it was a wise or foolish choice to invest or not invest in to litecoin

litecoin is best after bitcoin. crypto is a huge space. so i think we should not focus on bitcoin only. also litecoin is faster than bitcoin. so i think litecoin will have a better future. even it will give better ROI than bitcoin

I think ltc is under the effect of overall bears in the market and as soon as market shows positivity and recovery we will see ltc growing back as well.

LTC has proved to be a very strong coin shows good liquidity and litecoin is a coin with a very high quality highly profitable future.

I am hoping that Litecoin can be able to recover soon all the ground it lost in this very bearish market. I am considering the year 2018 to be the bear Year and this is not just for cryptocurrency but even with other investment vehicles as well. The whole market is not very rosy for 2018 and as for 2019 we can only hope that it can be different and that the bull run everybody have been dreaming about can finally happen next year...as I already am resigned to the big possibility that 2018 can end without it. I still categorized Litecoin as one of my Top 5 cryptocurrencies with the most viable potential to go side-by-side with Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The thing is to always know when to get into a market and when you should be getting out and that is something a lot of people because they have failed to at least learn some of the things that would make them a better investor by knowing some basic knowledge about trend changes in the market, it would be hard for them to understand that.

Litecoin price is still in an uptrend when compared to the previous price as at early 2017, and that shows actually there is still prospect for it, as long as in the long run, the developers are doing all they can to make it useful, but one way or the other, it is still more like a clone of bitcoin, but like you said, for long term, it is actually not a bad idea.

Compared to Bitcoin, Litecoin has increased by 7,291% from the beginning of 2017!
while Bitcoin “only” increased by 1731%.

Why is this performance worse? As for me, he has a faster transaction than bitcoin and a low commission which is very good. For transfers between exchanges, litecoin fits perfectly. Yes, it is agreed that the update of its blockchain network has long been absent. But not for nothing that its creator is violently promoting it, I think it will take a while to wait.

Litecoin is also an awesome coin and is too undervalued at the moment. I really cannot get why people are investing in BTC and the price is at 6k USD and Litecoin, that is obviously better as a crypto coin, worth only 50 USD. I believe in LTC much more than in BTC.

I don’t really trust Lee after he sold all his coins on top of the price. However, I believe that the coin will still continue to develop, and perhaps it even has a future.

What is the bad performance of litecoin? I do not understand? If we look at the transaction speed, litecoin is faster than bitcoin. But if you question the price or increase that occurred in ATH yesterday, then litecoin will never be able to outperform bitcoin.

Litecoin is just another altcoin, but one thing with performance is that it cuts across board for most altcoins and you cannot be comparing litecoin with bitcoin. First and foremost, Litecoin is just a mere clone of bitcoin and as far as I am concerned, it is in the shadows of bitcoin.

What is ahead in its future is something I would expect time to determine as no one can know, but without real life usage and bitcoin actually hitting a huge growth in the long run based on adoption and usage, that would really affect litecoin, but like I said, it is best to leave time to tell.

Litecoin performance is not as good and fast as bitcoin, but this needs to be considered for the future, because the price is still quite good, indeed it has deteriorated recently, but it does not rule out the possibility, will be more stable next year, seeing market predictions be better next year

I am sure that 2018-2019 is the Golden years for cryptocurrencies in General. I think that Litecoin, like other currencies will grow very high, so it is worth it to buy and store in your wallet or play on the exchange.
Definitely litecoin will rise in price and it is necessary to invest in it.      

It is one of the better altcoins. It is not the best out there but it is certainly not the worst.

Litecoin has good potentials as we see that it still is in top 10 altcoin list. Although it needs some polishing but it has a great mind of Charlie Lee behind it.

I would say it's not that bad as you think. Crypto market is going through a rough patch and lite coin is no exception too that. Don't lose hope for now.

We never know what will happen in the future but of course Litecoin I don't think there will be a significant development, even though Litecoin belongs to the top 20 coinmarketcap ranking, I see that Litecoin development can be said to be slow and maybe that's what hinders them from returning to highest price

It's performance may not be as good as Bitcoin but it's not that bad. Still it's considered as a great developing crypto and it's showing the worth in the market.

Litecoin is one of the most trusted coins. It is the silver of the crypto currencies market and I hope one day it will overcome Bitcoin and be the most trusted crypto. LTC is faster and safer than Bitcoin and I cannot get, why this coin worth only 50 bucks right now.

I think future of this coin isn't really good compared with another alts in top 10 cmc, it's become more sad if someone bought this coin when LTC price above 300$  :'(. I don't think this coin can rise more than 300$ anymore.

Because you are comparing the value of coins now to what is the prices last December 2017 .so the mindset is looking for too much .but if you will compare the price of litecoin before the bubbles happen for sure this is not your thinking.litecoin will recover like every legitimate cryptocurrency

Litecoin too is a promising coin buddy it rallied to $300 k last year this shows the significance of the coin. The market situation is very worsen that's the reason for unstability . I believe LTC has a bright future ahead.

lightcoin is an interesting coin but it seems to me without the essential actions of the team the project at best will just stand still

I think litecoin doesn't really bright for its future compared to other coins that provide with more and more features right now. I mean we are in a bear market but whenever there is a bull market people are going into a new coin and increasing its marketcap and making it go beyond litecoin, it was first ethereum now there is eos and stellar and ripple and now even bitcoin cash is bigger than litecoin which seems like a joke considering that coin is basically a joke coin kept alive by the creators and noone else (maybe also trading bots).

Litecoin is at 7th today and I honestly believe if it doesn't change its shell soon it will drop further and further in time. Doesn't mean it will drop in price, it may go up in price but if it goes up in price less than others go up during a bull run that is still considered a bad investment.

From what i see in the market, Litcoin's price is decreasing significantly. and it seems the dropping wave still going deeper.
Can't really predict when will it goes up again.

I am currently seeing a lot of changes happening on the Litecoin, it is capable of being an advantage by having litecoin and support for its growth. In addition with the presence of Litecoin being able to make a major influence on his future.

Yes Litecoin is not on top, but at the time when the market went down,it showed itself on the good side and the fall was insignificant in percentage terms compared to other coins.Litecoin has a good future and is in the top 5.

Myabe is not good if you keep and hold your litecoin for the future investment, maybe you can try hold ethereum or ripple because both coin is more potential for you getting much profit, why have lost your money at not potential altcoin.

I don't believe in Litecoin, in my opinion, its price speaks for itself, a very weak draft, just very popular. I was disappointed in it last year and I don't think he's gonna live he's got a lot more sophisticated competitors.

I think that Litecoin is one of several coins, which will continue to exist and able to survive the cryptocurrency market crisis. Also it has all chances to become one of the biggest payment way, after Bitcoin of course. LTC is not some kind of scam, it's a fact

LTC with outstanding features is good liquidity, faster and cheaper transactions to send small payments. Technology, community and value of LTC also make it a good ranking in the potential currency charts. I think not only LTC, with many other currencies, despite the high potential rankings that these currencies do not try and improve continuously, their future is not a promising coin.

Litecoin seems to me to consider long-term investment. During this period. Its performance is relatively stable. If the market gets warmer. It will exceed the expected increase. So don't hesitate.

Cryptocurrency market has grown quickly over the last year and has continued to do so in 2018, litecoin price rise from $5 to more than $400, current price still have $55, it's not bad right now, there are many predictions that say litecoin growth will be higher than that of bitcoin, nobody really know what will happen, I still hold litecoin because price don't mean anything, people call litecoin like silver, it's have more value in the future

I think if Litecoin continues to promote and develop its platform to a better level, Litecoin prices will increase. Litecoin uses smartcontract itself, so to improve it needs to work with other coins.

I think Litecoin is a very old Altcoin and still survives to this day, it's a legendary coin. He has the potential to increase prices again, but I think it's only for long-term investments, because Altcoin depends on the existence of Bitcoin prices. If bitcoin rises the price will be followed by other Altcoins. So it remains positive in everything.

Litecoin is having a tough time like all other cryptocurrencies but I believe it will recover . They are I guess building lightning network as Charlee Lee said on boat cruise and soon it will be available with also implementing's of atomic swap . Future is bright no doubt

In my country, Coinbase is the most popular wallet, Yes, it has been using as a wallet. After Bitcoin, Coinbase added Ethereum, and then Litecoin. From then to now, I always believe Litecoin will be a big thing in the future. Though It passing the bad time as every coin are the same! I think that Litecoin kept steadily and analysts are predicting him only growth. It is easier than BTC, which will soon make Bitcoin give up positions. Litecoin easier and faster can be exchanged for money.

Although Lee said that he sold all his coin, he also mentioned that he will continue and actively supporting Litecoin. I actually don't believe that he sold a his coin because he can buy it anytime he wants and keep it a secret.

Litecoin reputation is really bad in this situation but we should not say it will be died in future. So we need more supporters in this year then only it will grow well in the market. I hope next year we should expect some positive response in Litecoin.

In my opinion, the Litecoin will point a good position in market for next years. It would be about top 20 coins, I think. And will happen so soon.

Remember, just last year you could buy Litecoin for $4... so I don't think $50 per coin is doing so bad ;) It's been around for a long time and I think has a bright future.

Litecoin is cryptocurrency silver. On this coin there are not enough news and not enough advertizing. Bought 3 Litecoin.

Litecoin will always reserve that glorious title of silver to bitcoin so far it is not abandoned and will continue to be developed. Many other top coins out there are also performing worse than bitcoin. It's still profitable for those that acquired it at the very low price stage. Investors that bought at ATH will just need to wait for an exciting market to return.

I was always not very good opinion about Litecoin, as I always considered it a Chinese copy of Bitcoin. I do not think you should expect from Litecoin something outstanding.

I really like litecoin. It is mined very quickly and easily; it does not require much power. It is fairly stable and has a strong platform. I am sure that in the future he will show himself.

Sorry to differ my opinion mate, but litecoin is already in the list of top 10 coins and it did really good last year especially from the month of November to end of December and then it started losing it's value just like all the other altcoins. I hope it will come back stronger this year.

Well ll. I don t really know about lite coin. It wants to be like bitcoin, but bitcoin has much more value. It wants to be faster than bitcoin but there are tons of other coins that are faster than lite coin and bitcoin. There are tons of altcoins that are newer faster and better, even so that they have more recent technology and a newer blockchain. Litecoin it is just a rip off of bitcoin, in my hopinion. It will never go to 0, as long as bitcoin has value, but it will never be worldwide used.

There is no exemption with the current period of drought, even Bitcoin suffer a lot of it. Litecoin is also suffering in the same way because most of the altcoins are dependent on the price movement Bitcoin, though it was observed that there are no improvements with regards to its technology but that is not the reason for the deficit, it is really because of bear period.

Litecoin is a very good coin, having in the top ten on the list in CMC is not bad enough, though their value is falling a lot in a bear market but it is not worse as what you said because all altcoins are also taking a battle to regain their value. I believe that Litecoin still belong in the elite coins when the bull period is coming.

I think Litcoin has had a lot of positivivity with upgrades from the Bitcoin technology but I think it will just take some time until it climbs up to the giants its supposed to mingle with. Its a matter of time.

Litecoin is one of the prominent coins i have seen to have a slow growth in the space. Despite this, one one the things i like about it is that it is not one of those shitcoins that come and just disappear. I still believe it has the potential to rise. At least, there are still very good numbers of its holders.
Also owing to the fact that it has a good legal status, it will continue to have relevance and will still be in use.

Not sure about that will regain its ATH. at this moment bitcoin is enough scalable and we don't need litecoin to be the alternative payment system to the bitcoin. It might very useful when bitcoin gets a lot of problem to replace a lot of transaction and the block was not getting improvement but this time looks so different.
