Title: Why was my account blocked?
Post by: Vita86C on October 18, 2018, 10:43:16 AM
Good day! My account was blocked without warning and explanation.
Link to my profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=246998;sa=statPanel

Please explain why I was blocked?

Copy and pasting.

Can you give me proof? I don't understand how this could happen.

The post that was reported has been deleted, but this is what it apparently copied:

Currently, bitcoin successfully serves as a means of accumulation, so it is often called digital gold.

I still don't understand. I never copied the posts. Everything I wrote was my own thoughts.

Is that enough?

Copy:
Bitcoin, in fact, is deflationary, since there is a strict limit on the issue of coins of this payment system. The total amount of issued crypto currency will be 21 million digital tokens. In the case of Ether, we are talking about inflation, since the annual release of these funds reaches 18 million coins. Thus, if we consider this money in the long run, the price of Ethereum coins will fall, and the demand for Bitcoin will increase.

I think we should require money being put in escrow once users claim they "dint do nuffin wrong". If it's found that they did in fact do something wrong the money is given to charity or something. Tired of the lies and wasting my time trying to find the post that they've copied and pasted.

I know the rules of the forum and never copy other people's posts. All information was taken from one information source. Only the user of CryptoBitCoins copied more information from this information source than I did. Please unlock my account, because I really did not copy the post of this user. Give me a chance. Paint the trust. Please!

So if you copy from the other source is OK, only if you copy form the user is plagiarism??
You don't know how things work here, right? If you copy it from someone, no matter who ( even if your mom posted it yesterday) and post it as your text, this is plagiarism.
If you don't use quotes or post a link to the source and you present the text as your own work, is plagiarism.
The penalty is permaban and it is irreversible.

Some will say, make a new account and start all over again. NO! The bans are personal and if you do this you gonna break another rule ( ban evading is forbidden)..
Just give up.

Is this another lie? Where is the original source?

It's a lie. CryptoBitCoins took the text from here (https://cryptoboom.com/articles/technology-news/ethereum/will-ethereum-overtake-bitcoin) and made a small rewrite. And you have copied have him the text one in one.

BTW, CryptoBitCoins also deserves a ban for not specifying the source.

All of the following are considered plagiarism:
turning in someone else's work as your own
copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit
failing to put a quotation in quotation marks
giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation
changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving credit
copying so many words or ideas from a source that it makes up the majority of your work, whether you give credit or not (see our section on "fair use" rules)
https://www.plagiarism.org/article/what-is-plagiarism

From the above definition, Forum is currently taking account of first 2 points only for permabanning user. If we start enforcing the last point, then I guess we will permaban all useless shit poster who are just posting content then the link.
Even examples discussed in this thread "https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5051292.msg46960198#msg46960198" will also fall in  plagiarism

Whether you copy or copy and translate. You have to cite the source in the post. Otherwise it is plagiarism.
