Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold??

Bitcoin is one of the most popular crypto currencies.  Yes you can say that bitcoin is digital gold.

 if we are going to put basis on its value we can say that it is considerable as gold. Because the value of the bitcoin is almost like gold it is becoming more precious like gold and it is amazing because it is only a digital a numbers we cannot even touch it but it's price is amazing. So then I believe that it is considered as digital gold. You could say that, a digital asset that has valuable value on its fluctuations. can also be used as a medium of exchange to make transactions.

I agree with the author that bitcoin is not digital gold. But I think that in the near future he will be able to claim the role of the digital dollar. And this is a more important role in the economy.

Bitcoin has all of these same characteristics, and more. It has limited supply (only a specific amount of Bitcoin exists and will ever be produced). It can be made into smaller units without losing unit value

NO matter how you look at it, bitcoin is becoming more of gold than currency since people are basing it's price on supply and demand and scarcity. Given that bitcoin is being used as payments, currency doesn't go up in price like that.

Yeah, i agree with you, bitcoin isn't digital gold. Because the “monetary policy” of gold looks nothing like the monetary policy of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has no market dynamic governing its supply.

If we will base on its value, we can say that it is big enough as gold. Because the value of bitcoin is almost like gold, it becomes more valuable like gold and it's amazing because only our digital numbers can't even touch it but the price is incredible

After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

We can say bitcoin is digital gold if we base on the value of bitcoin reach same like gold but the value of gold is stable  in the market and the value of bitcoin flactuates everyday.Bitcoin has its characteristics to make a digital currency in the future.

Perhaps other people consider it digital gold because of the price of bitcoin? Buying bitcoin is not cheap after all, also probably because of the idea that mining a gold can make you rich, therefore if you mine bitcoin you will be rich too?

No, I don't think so. Bitcoin is only cryptocurrency which people trades it in the Internet. Bitcoin is not visual currency and they can not hold by hand. But gold can be done. We can not compare gold with bitcoin. Nevertheness, Bitcoin is even more expensive than Gold.

I don't agree that BItcoin is a digital gold. At least, Bitcoin is only a digital currency. Everybody all see that gold is very valuable, but most of people don't know what Bitcoin is. Thus, Bitcoin is not popular all around the world. That making Bitcoin become a digital gold will lead the currencies take risks. Noone can guarantee that BItcoin will exist for a long term.

I think  this topic just makes better attitude for bitcoin. People have right to wait a new better future in Bitcoin. Perhaps, the Bitcoin price can raise again in a short term.  However, it is supposed that it is too difficult for Bitcoin to become a digital gold.

Yes actually we can say that.. The bitcoin is decentralized currency for me. The gold is the same.. Decentralized funds is the most powerfull ones i think and that's why i believe it. I hope the cryptocurrencies and the Bitcoin will spread all over the world and everyone uses this system..

I think at this time bitcoin can't level the gold, for how many years gold is the strongest investment ever. But if bitcoin continue to the higher price, time will come we can considered bitcoin as a digital gold.
