As we make our way through Q4 2018, based on what has been seen among altcoins such as development, innovation, security, real-world use cases, and plans for the next year, what altcoins do you think will be big in 2019?

I think NEO will grow up again, and will replace ETH for 2nd place.
and I saw new little coin will grow up into giant coin.
LOKI, loki is new project with great development, they have good funding.
and already listing on cryptopia if next year loki listing on big market like binance,bitrex or coinex I think it is will be good investment place.

I think LTC will regain his spot, Monero will distance himself from the other privacy coins and $WAVES can do big things as a platforrm.

For coins outside the top50 my pick is $XSN - Stakenet, with a ever growing team, lots of innovative and new functions (like TPOS, Trustless staking, or Masternode as a service, and much more).

I think it deserve a spot in the top100 of coinmarketcap, considering that is not listed in any big exchange yet.

In fact, everything seems to depend on Bitcoin's development. I don't think there will be a big improvement in terms of price until the bull comes.

My prediction for 2019 is the year for altcoins that have private blockchians. the era where altcoins made from smartcontrac will end because they see coins like this are difficult to survive in the market and even their trading volume is not large.

So many people recommending $500M+ mcap projects which have little room for growth unless the market as whole goes up. All you talking about ETH, EOS, TRX, etc boring snooze fest. Wow they might do a x5-10 at best, x50-100 is where it's at.

If you want to make money you buy solid/undervalued low mcap projects that have the possibility of huge growth. This bear market has reset the playing field largely and I fully expect some of the underdogs that were overlooked on the last bullrun to swoop in and take some top spots if they have been making solid progress buring the bear season.

For next year Altcoin will rise most likely, that's Ethereum. Because Ethereum has many requests even though the price is currently down. But next year it looks like it will rise.

There are so many coins that have the prospects for next year. We all have our individual presences. Also, we can only know based on what we can see. I have some coins i already did some research on and i believe will be huge come 2019. Some of those coins are XYO, OMX and BOB. All these are altcoins that have usecases, not just based on hype. Their present prices are not their real worth, but i believe in them.

For me it is really hard to tell as this market is very unpredictable and even with good or bad news in the industry it is really hard to see price movements unlike in the forex and even though that there are time there are no news that is spreading there are big movements that are happening. All we can do is speculate and put investments to coins that have potential and with the hope that it will make it big next year.

EOS has grown so much with a lot of tokens using its platform, they may not be here in the forum promoting it but its getting huge and there are list of it in https://eosprojects.org a lot of it has its use case.  This is the kind of platform that scammers may not have a place for. Surely, in 2018 altcoin in the top 100 grow ceaselessly and they have achieved some very good results. And soon we will see the market with altcoin will recover. 2019 will be a great year for altcoin but these shitcoins will die completely in 2019

           I think NEO and ONTOLOGY will be ranked in the top 5 on the coinmarketcap. We have to keep in mind that in 2019 there will be other altcoins and they may overtake others. But at the top of the hierarchy, there will be Bitcoin and Ethereum, because they are too powerful and they influence other altcoins, so they can not be overcome. The market is unpredictable and we hope to bring us many surprises early next year with massive growth.

Like you suggested all the coins you have mentioned will grow and have a bright future ahead also plan for XRP as well this is growing fastly when compared to other altcoins, as a centralised coin I never expected people will give priority to this. In my opinion, it’s too early to talk about the year 2019, because we don’t even know how this year will end!

Perhaps alt altogether in 2019 can rise above the price now, altcoin is now reduced and can be reduced very deeply, thus making investors quite afraid. So they are patient and waiting for the market to recover.

I think it is Pundi X but until now I dont have it. I'm keeping my faith with the coins that I'm holding right now so I wont purchase new coins until I get profit with those.

We all know that its hard to predict which coin will raise next year.But for me I'm hopping that ethereum will be bounce back by next year. I'm holding it  for too long because I'm afraid to loose my investment.

Next year some new leader will take over the crypto market I guess. I don't like to speak about "sleeping giant" but such coins as Modum, Stipend, Alqo, SafeInsure, BitHost, Nuls will surprise investors and traders.

There are a lot of amazing altcoins that will moon in 2019. Among them are ETH, NEO and IOTA. These tokens have so much perspective and the prices are now too low for them. They will show us their potential in the upcoming year.

Many people underestimate the WAVES project. Also I keep my crypto portfolio Qtum and NEM and recently bought some UChain.

I think the most underrated coin will be BITDEPOSITARY. The just got listed a couple of weeks before it got sold out. I believe they sold around $25 million USD and reached the hard cap before they even finished the ICO. The product is very solid and the demand is at its highest since there are a lot of investors waiting for the coin to be distributed. Check it guys, it's worth it.

In my opinion, I can't predict which coin will get the top spot in 2019. Looking at the history from year to year I assume that Bitcoin deserves to be the biggest and top coin.

That does not rule out the possibility of other altcoins that can grow up in 2019 like EOS, NEO or ETH. Even though Ethereum has fallen until now, but maybe in 2019 the ETH will rise again above $ 500.

I want to believe so many altcoins will get big in the coming year, but one thing we cannot tell at the moment is which one would actually get the biggest in terms of either the increase in price percentage or will I say the increase in all ramifications.

I am actually expecting NEO to make a strong move in coming years anyway, but there are also some low capped coins with great products that I am really waiting to see how well they will move once we get to see a recovery in the market. At this point though, there are so many coins on my mind, considering the volatility of the space, which I believe will grow extremely big.

I think 2019 will be a good start of innovation for the altcoins in terms of their value. Where Bull run will reign on this year(cross fingers) :D But anyway, Etherreum are possible to reach 2000$, then Bitcoin can become 15K$ up to 20k$, also Nem will reach 1$, then Waves can be multiply x5 then also Neo either.

Every coin will have their chance to grow bigger in next year. however, in my opinion, those coins that will grow faster are those that have more than interesting concepts. There should be a very recommended and promising products or utility of the token or coins. You should see how Dominium offers it. That is exactly what I was just thinking. Looking at the way development in this space is going, we might actually get to start seeing 2019 as the year in which a lot of coins are going to get washed up the market somehow.

We can see the possibilities of regulation kicking in, most exchanges with reputations beginning to delist shit coins and I see it in a way that in coming years, there would actually be some chances of seeing the market generally get more matured, and a lot of coins will go down the drain. I guess we just have to wait and make sure we are holding the strong ones.

Yes that is very right that we cannot say anything in advance that which coin is going to boost or will drop its value, but I think that still it is too much important that we must study the road map and the whole project where we are interested to invest our money.

That is the thing, as I believe there is a huge changes coming into this space, and we may likely get to see the space becoming more matured than it is now, with concentration being on the projects with products. We all know the rate at which most altcoins have dropped anyway and we also know the chances they could have to the peak side, when the market recovers generally.

I think zilliqa will be really big in 2019 . Because their project is fascinating. and team is really good.

Well i think there are so many altcoin that really drop today . I believe it is all because of the crypto market huge dip, maybe altcoin has become more affected on it. The competition as platform is now more stiff . NEO, stellar, rootstock, ethereum, NEM etc. will join the rivalry. Ethereum advantage will still be it advent into the space early. These platforms are improved versions though do not have that big communities like in ethereum but time will distinguish them. I lost my confidence in the steady fall of ethereum this year without resistance except when XRP dumps it from the second position.

I think that now you need to buy altcoins with small cap. For example, Zil, icx, aion. These products are quit good and team is very strong. I wish these tokens will make x5 in 2019.

I think Hedera Hashgraph will be the next big thing in 2019. It's something new and there is lot of hype about this one. It will easily make it's place on CMC top 10.

Altcoins may actually be the future of cryptocurrencies rather than Bitcoin for various reasons including transaction speed and fees. As Bitcoin is priced really high, entry is hard for those new to cryptocurrencies, and altcoins are much cheaper alternatives.

Personally, I prefer buying tokens of exchange, as no matter who gains or loses, exchanges always make a profit on commission on every trade.

The ones that seem really solid at the moment are Litecoin and Ripple, however, the best way to identify the good ones is do some research or purchase someone else’s research.

Not more than a month ago, the tokensale of the BitDepositary project ended and its BDT token has recently been listed on the HotBit exchange. There are too many possibilities for every coin that could increase higher in 2019 because right now, all coins start to lift the price and compete with the other coins. 2019 is going to be a very exciting year for Cardano. Decentralization and PoS (Ouroboros Proof-of-Stake Algorithm) is planned for the first quarter of 2019. Moreover, stuff like sidechains (which will enable scalability), BLISS signature scheme (for making Cardano so-called "quantum-proof"), etc is all planned for the year. You are predicting that ripple is going to remain above ethereum for the whole year of 2019? Because that seems very difficult to me, even if the price of ethereum is not going to reach its previous all time high during 2019 that doesn't mean that we are not going to see a recovery during the next year and if that happens then ripple is going to go back to the second place where it belongs.

If market return back, I expect x5-x10 from most of the top100 coins, ethereum must be 2000+, neo must be 180-200+ and all coins like that, so if market return back all of them will be altcoin of 2019.

Did you really think it will? But my guess is that Bitcoin will hit a new record of ATH. Maybe $30k or beyond at that point and Ethereum will not be going to be able to hit that mark of $2000+, i would say lesser than that. Though this is just my speculation but i feel that it will be like that in the future. Hopefully etherium will rise up again this 2019 , because i still believe that etherium will be the next to bitcoin , in teems of gaining more profits from a long term investments , just like bitcoin that it is for a long term gaining of profit.
