Title: Successful ICOs
Post by: btc_love on October 31, 2018, 06:11:52 PM
I’ve been searching around this forum for a while and see a lot of ANN threads here. But I’m very interested what ICOs and projects really achieved great results. Saying "successful" I don't mean these projects that just going to launch ICO. I mean projects that have already collected money and released product.

For example, this blockchain game. They collected good money and now it’s one of the most popular blockchain game. Here you can read an interview with it’s developer https://gameunculus.io/blog/96 (I don’t send direct link to their website not to make them advertisement)

And what projects do you know?

This board is meant for discussions related to bitcoin.
Your thread is more suited for altcoin discussion as it is about ICOs and alts.
You can move it using the option at the bottom left.

Edit: Now you've moved it.
There are a lot of ICOs which were resounding successes.
I like to weigh more the successes after the ICO and funds raised. How does the team plan and execute going forward.
One of my best ICOs for 2018 would be Countinghouse (CHT). Not so much was raised during the ICO, but the team were forward thinking and the project is flying high and getting lots of attention now.

not just games can have success on ICO field. I believe projects with real existing products can be successful too

Just open coinmarketcap and check for succesfull icos. It is the easiest way to see which one is ended good. First 200 should be enough.

I do not understand the meaning of the phrase "successful project." You say that a "successful project" is one that was able to collect the required amount of money and launched its product. I will be very happy if you tell me the projects that are now completely followed up on what was indicated in the white paper, which is fully functioning and is used by many people.

it seems you forgot about ETH ? because they did an IPO aka ICO a while ago and it can be considered as one of the most successful ICOs/IPOs project.
well, not only ETH there are ton of projects that can be considered as one either.
like NEO,Stratis,Waves,NANO,BNB and others.
if we breakdown it one by one, i am afraid it will take a lot of time to finish it. let's make it simpler, what kind of project that you are looking for ?

Nowadays is too hard to find the really good ICO project. Most of them are just trying to make money on us.
Do you know some ICO which we can believe?

If we realize that there have been hundreds of projects circulating that have achieved their goals (success), maybe that's what you mean. But it will make us even more confused when we want to choose. Maybe you should also look at Marketcap, there are many choices. Please try.

Today it is a huge rarity. and the fact is that when you invest funds into a project or if you participate in the company’s bounty of this project, we cannot know in advance whether the project will be successful and promising.

Some have already released their products but the sad thing is that nobody's using them. I have seen hundreds of crowdsales, loads of products but the majority of them are trying to solve non-existing problems. There is no user base, just token holders.

Many of the ICO's for exchanges have been very successful not only from a product release standpoint but also from the perspective of providing a very good return to investors. A lot of ICO's from last year were about building the tools to later create interesting applications, those ones are continuing to develope and we see them releasing products on a regular basis. The ones that have struggled are the non exchange applications who have had a hard time creating products that people want to interact with because the underlying infrastructure was just not there to create really dynamic applications.

This is not a small task to check for successful ones.. as I think it is the long run and how the team is going to deliver on their roadmap could make ALL the difference. But I see great potential in ARROUND ico. This targeting the augmented reality and blockchain tech..

Success of an ICO is seen from the final results or very large income, how can this happen? We can see from the way the team works in an ICO that must be responsible, diligent, smart, people who are in the team must have expertise in their fields and most importantly can develop an ICO in Successful.

If you do not believe in this market, why are you here? And why are you worrying about ICO success or failure? If you have lost your faith then you should leave it and do another job. Market is so bad and it makes so many people nervous and anxious

One of the successful ICOs I know is electroneum. It reached hardcap and is still above ICO price now. It is included in the top 100 crypto in CMC and most of all, the team is very credible and hardworking. There are some other hardcap ICOs that failed to deliver their promise like INS.

But not all projects come to the market without a ready product. Some of them have something to show before collecting money. For example, Robotina has products in the field of energy optimization.

One of the most successful ICOs of all time just has to be NEO.
I remember that during the early funding phases, tokens were worth just about $0.05 and the value just skyrocketed after they launched their blockchain.

Now they're still worth around $15, but were over $100 at one point.

For me, there are lots of successful ICO's out there, gained a desired amount of capitalization and has been in the exchanges, but what i see this time around is that most of this ico's failed to continue their roadmaps and has changed in direction, for example cryptassist, they have gained such amount of capitalization but lately they changed their plan.

Yeah crypto kitties was one of the best example of a really successful ICO, hoping i can find another one and participate maybe the ICO.

And this is a big problem. Most projects have solutions to problems that are not relevant now, that is, ideas are not used, and therefore there is no need for the project, all this leads to the fact that the project token falls in price because no one needs it.

"Successful ICOs" until now the most successful project I've ever seen is ETH, and projects that only sell enough money to run and reach the floor are barely alive. They only draw projects to sell money and exchange lists. is not responsible and then the project is dying gradually.

There's a lot of successful ICO's on market, but only few of them has a real usage since mostly of the coins are being created for collecting money from the investors, for me, only ethereum has a real usage because a lot of the projects now are using their technology.

Most of them created non sense idea and i have seen that so many times when there was a project was creating an ico to solve irrelevant problem. These guys must learn about how to discover the real problem and try to search the best answer to fix it. One of non sense idea just like decentralized VR and what will be fixed by the project that created decentralized VR? that's a joke

we must support only promising projects and those that will be in demand in society, they help to produce empty ico companies that will only litter the cryptocurrency market.

With some pretty due diligence there are so many of them with great success which have actually managed to develop or build on the existing product over time, although, it is still understandable that there are more scam ICOs than those with projects.

At least, there are the likes of COSS, KICK or if you are looking for the safest place to want to invest, just do some diligence on the top 100 coins, and then try to put your money where your mouth is as this at least gives you some level of guarantee that this is where majority of investors have decided to put their money but all in all, never make the mistake of not doing your own research.

Just look at the top 100 crypto currencies. 90 percent of them had an ICO and the other 10 percent were hardforks. But the problem is that the majority of projects still do not have any working product. In my opinion, it is pretty bad for the whole industry.

Not a small task at all, and there is actually no point asking here because what seems successful to some people may not be successful to some, what is important as an individual is to at least try as much as possible to cross check vividly what you are investing in.

There will be more projects though coming into the market that will most definitely be able to make some impact product wise in the long run, from current ICOs, but to be on the safest spot, I will advise the OP to start from the top of the market cap and do some diligence on at least the top 50, while filtering out the one he feels he would want to invest in for the long term.

Now it is very difficult to choose a successful ICO, so that he could then collect the necessary money for this. ICO can be really successful, but due to the small course of the ether, the campaign can not collect even the software soft cup. Therefore, it’s better to participate as much as possible in ICO

Identifying a successful project is not as easy as it may seem since the conditions that you are giving are not enough, the developers could just release a buggy product and in theory they will fulfill the conditions that you specified, some others will define success if they made money with a coin but that is not enough either since there are many coins that skyrocket and are scams.

IOS Token was a very successful ICO where the ICO price was only 0.01 dollars but it went all the way till 0.06$ and a lot of people actually invested in that. It is also listed on almost every website.
Now, I am hoping a similar return from Fiiicoin since it is already trading above the ICO price and with other sales coming in future, it will only improve further.

You can still find a lot of good ICO projects. Just check the total funds raised during campaign, and the future plans of development this project.

the projects that ICO reaches Hardcap are currently very few, reaching Softcap alone is very lucky, as well as if all have finished contributing to all parties delay. all projects are very frustrating at this time even though the project reached Hardcap

I think that it is difficult to say how successful the project is. While the project does not have a working product, it cannot be called successful. In the current market, the price does not reflect the level of development of the projects.

There are many projects who are working hard at their MVP and some that have already released a product to the market.  Pundix,  robotina,  and recently Swipe.  Swipe is yet to finish it's ICO campaign before they release  blockpost app that feed you all the happenings in cryptocurrency!

It is a self-drop type of ico and is owned by a team with a working product that will rival uber. You can check them out here. https://pikcars.com/ (https://pikcars.com/)

And what projects do you know?

to assess a project's successful ICO takes a lot of time and people will not be willing to give the project a good ICO. In this market, we should learn everything ourselves and not trust anyone. I think I know a pretty cool project that is WPP. My next tip is that you should learn it yourself. ;D

This is exactly why i am not going to try it :D

Successful ICOS has a lot of factors, good marketing is one of the biggest factors, simple and understandable idea and much more. There is not one success formula.

Usually ICOs with products and utilities are quite successful, if I'm not mistaken Venq and EOS started like that and are platforms that use their tokens for different activities, so it is possible to have a successful ICO, of course, those were other times too, now if I were a developer I would think twice before investing in this volatile market.

Today it is a huge rarity. and the fact is that when you invest funds into a project or if you participate in the company’s bounty of this project, we cannot know in advance whether the project will be successful and promising.
Yes, I completely agree with your opinion on this topic. Nowadays its very hard to predict about the projects success before making investment in it.

I can't remember last when I saw a successful ICO like as you mentioned in OP. Well, there is one named something like bob's repair or whatever. They are successful with their project and also doing well in the market. Another one is profish, although we can't say it's a good one because the product which is still under development and I doubt they can provide what they had promised.

but which side do you see the potential of ICO that is said to be successful. if seen from its success in returning investor capital, perhaps some ICOs have done it, but if the project they make is successfully used by the world community, maybe only a small part and I think I have to determine the average return to discuss ICO successfully or not

We have alot of successfull ICO with a working product, such as  Iconomi, Sigularity, Bancor,Neo,  This are some of the ICO I research with a working product and giving relevance to the cryptocurrency community, several ICO came up in 2018 without a solid foundation relative to the objective state, therefore most ICO will not survive the real world.

There are not really a lot of projects out there right now that people can vouch for and say that they can be sure that the coins are going to do well for the long term which is why when people are investing in icos and new coins they are always making sure that they are not investing more money than they can afford to lose in case the coins crash

yeah indeed if the project that supports the game platform is indeed the possibility of success is very large compared to the others. but all of that still depends on the funds that they can collect in the specified period. so the success of the project really depends on the initial concept of their project, and the game is always the first choice.

the problem is to find the new coin that can do a big % of price grow...we must look for coins that are not ico or bounty but people are too stupid for this....I regret I did not get bought coins like litecoin, vertcoin or viacoin when they were very very low in 2015...there is a good dose of luck of course, but you must always do your own researches...for example watch Elicoin in livecoinwatch , is not an ICO or bounty... it's a coin with low mc, low supply, PoW whit cpu, no premine, active dev...only trading it on CREX24 for now...do you own researches in the thread in bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3028302.0... people are too stupid for DYOR and got scammed by ICO or bounty...just my 2 cents...hope it helps...cheers

Irony is that all of them are worth less now than during ICO. The bear really hit hard, even decent devs.
Most successful ICO in terms of price AND developments might end up being Ethereum itself  ;D

I think it will be really good advertisement for crypto in general if we can manage to create a huge list of ICO-s that didn't scam and projects that are ICO-funded and are changing the world for the better.
One day when regulators start claiming that it's all scams we can just point them there.

The dawn of the popularity of ICO enthusiasts every now and then predicted how this format of raising funds for business projects will press IPO. In the pluses he recorded simplicity and lack of need for any regulators.
But very soon the number of cases of fraud during the uncontrolled launch of cryptocurrency and digital tokens began to grow rapidly, and today almost every ICO is suspected of intending to deceive investors. The market of the primary placement of "coins", in fact, faded away. ICO companies will be replaced by STO.
