The Sharp fall in the market is so fast that it obvious bitcoin may not rise to the amount it close last year 2017 with because of the correct market condition. But the fact still remains that the market is going to recover as time goes on.

Stock market dipped pretty badly. I wonder if that is the cause for BTC dip as well.

The current Bitcoin market is unpredictable. I do not think it has such a sharp decline. Bitcoin has stuck in place for quite some time at around $ 6,000. It is too low compared to the price of about $ 20,000 as of 2017. There have been many predictions that Bitcoin will come back, I also believe in that. But now it makes me lose faith.

Did you actually hope that bitcoin is going to close at the similar price band as of 2017??

The stock market around the world (except few countries) dipped badly. Even though it doesn't have any apparent relation with the crypto market, but it seems like that same sentiment worked here as well.

I am unable to find any proper reason for this dip because all cryptos have fallen drastically. Did anyone find any proper reason why it is happening??

well, BTC is really riding the rollercoaster this year. But if we see, it has been trying to stay in the 6000$ mark, making it more stable at some point. Of course it can get worst, but the price is not fluctuating that much since the crisis of start of the year, that just plunged down the price of BTC. I believe this was a year of trying to hold the price to make it a little stable, so it wont just go up till 20000$ to drop more that 100% of its value. It might even grow till there in the next 5 years, because it is still being adopted by so many people. So, trade, hold, I believe crypto has come to stay!

I don't see anything out of the ordinary. The 2019 bottom still holds, the 100 Billion market cap is still there. We get dips like this one every 2 months. Bitcoin did a very similar thing on 2 September. Don't panic and don't do something that you will later regret only because in your current view the price is falling like crazy, which is not true. It is moving within acceptable boundaries.

The present condition of bitcoin can be summed up into a big bag of falling cement. To be honest it was quite unexpected but there goes to show how unpredictable the cryptocurrency world is

If the resistance in 6k is broken and it doesn't recover in a time, I don't think price will resist too much. Because no one expected that it would fall below 6k, so if panic sales already begin and there is no power to cut it, it will go down even further. We all know the price will recover, but the decrease may delay it.

Yup im with you on this, ive seen bigger dips and the market always recovers.
Im sure a lot of people have suffered from some FUD relating to BCH fork .....

I thought bitcoin is already on a steady mode, but the sharp fall that made bitcoin price to fall to $5700 is something to concern with. Efforts are being made to shift the market from bearish to bullish, but this update suddenly happened. Just as the other are saying, nothing to worry about. Not much of the fall. Let's see what will happen in the coming days.

Maybe this is another chance for investors to buy bitcoin at a discount to already a discounted price. A repeat may happen just like November 2017 when the price of bitcoin experienced a sharp fall. Then 2017 bull run was th highlight in December 2017. Are we seeing the same scenario for 2018? Nobody can definitely assured of the furure.

This video representing the falling of bitcoin that this year is the year of falling and no bull run happen like what happen last year. Right now I am not assuming that before the end of this year does have a bull run but we hope even this year is a year of fall we assume that next year is the year of bull run and we need to promote bitcoin for that happening on next year.

There are some strange things happening with the BCH fork, We have some large actors, that might be willing to sell their BTC/BCH to aqure funds for the upcoming hash war?

If bitmain and the other people associated with the different sides of the fork chose to sell, (they would have close to if not more than 2 000 000 btc) could that cause a global market dip like we are seeing now?

There is also things happening with the mining pools, where the bitcoin.com pool is diverting all its hash to BCH (without the consent from people having mining contracts on their hardware) Could the fear of the possibility that bitmain might do the same be a factor?

Bitcoin might not be associated with BCH, but some large actors (Bitmain, Craig Wright, bitcoin.com etc...) associated with BCH are relevant to BTC, and that's why I wonder if todays drop could be related to that...

This is not going to happen again, at least, not during this time.

Maybe we are going to see another bullrun in a few months from now, in a few years, but not on this situation, there is too much fud and deception over the market.

I don't think so, hopefully, you are right but I don't think it will rise this December. Some say it is just calming because of the big change to bitcoin but I don't think it will gonna happen. We just need to be ready at this point and accept the possibilities.

We all know bitcoin is high volatile fluctuations eventually nothing to worry about that another dip of bitcoin, but the sadness here is people will expect price play up and down at 6000$ to 6300$ until end of this year.
Hoping before end of the year bitcoin will up again their value and stay back the price.

First of all, but that picture is giving me a good laugh specially sipping my coffee this morning and I'm thinking, what the hell, we're all REKT and the doomsayers will be having a field day today. Believe me, they're going to crawl back in this forum again creating another doom and gloom scenario.

However, we need to be careful not to be swayed by those speculators. You guys need to settle down as this might be related to the incoming Bitcoin Cash for all we know. Why not take this opportunity to continue to accumulate more bitcoins in our wallet and let the course of the price goes naturally next year. And after what all been said and done, and when everything settles down, the price could quickly bounce back in a week and we're back to the $6200-$6500 range again.

Bitcoin is now like ride a roller coaster and now the roller coaster position of Bitcoin is at the bottom (Bitcoin price down), so we only need to wait for the position of the roller coaster from Bitcoin to glide at the top and that means the price of Bitcoin will increase very high, so I recommend to hold your Bitcoin and wait until the price increases (don't panic sell).

Well we already experienced this before. It's pretty normal in the market to drop quickly and recover fast because of it's volatility. I understand those who bought bitcoin at $6000+ has some sort of panicking but trust me bitcoin will recover soon. We have no clue why it fall that fast might be because of bch fork or it might be another reason. But on top of it, there is no need to be in panic.

Finally, it's happening. We are in less than $6000 and now we are at $5,872, the last time I check the price. At this moment, I think it is the best time for the new investor to buy as much bitcoin as they can because the price is down too deep (again). They got the big discount to buy bitcoin in this year and if they don't use this as the best chance, then they will regret it later. I was shocked to see the price now but I could still stay calm while I enjoy my day and just see the price is up and down at the market. I wonder when the price can going to go up after the down of the price.

Yes, there is no need to panic because this kind of situation has often happened, you have to keep believing and don't need to say crypto will die, because we know crypto is still growing and we know that fork continues to occur which indicates that crypto growth continues to increase, with the current market falling at least I personally believe there will be an increase after this incident.

I suspect the investor has realised buying coins isnt smart, coins are intellectual property, why not create empty wealth with your own coin? with the right marketing you can print money and swap if for real crypto with firm foundations, hell you can plkay with free money and run riot?

Could be this dip the effect of the bitcoin cash hard fork that will happen in less than few hours? This what I observed on last 2017 of November BTC price dump down to 700$ before the hardfork.

Bitcoin is now on its last phase of price correction which was bloated last year. Expecting the price range since June this year. The price will be in for a long haul before another bull run may jack up the price for another ATH.

For me, the meaning of this unexpectedly falls means the next days it will gradually increasing its price.We did not expect this quick fall but its better to be more patiently waiting rather than panic selling all of your bitcoin. yes, at this time there is no need to panic and sell BTC because hardfork affects the price of Bitcoin and after it ends we will see the price of Bitcoin rise again. The BCH fork caused the dump. Investors and speculations are what moves this market. I just hope regulation comes in fast. These fast pumps and dumps are making potential investors scared I must say.

I am agree. I am still optimistic bitcoin will recover again. Its really shocking when seeing bitcoin price recently because the price drop more than 10% in just one day. Its lower price in this year but i am believe the price will recover again

i think by the bitcoin falls rapidly its price, some other altcoins shines its price in the market like the ripple coin, investors starting to buy ripple now for future investments. although it is also good to buy bitcoin in its low cost but you are entering at risk, there is no assurance yet that bitcoin may rise its price, also some other investors says that it is critical time to invest at bitcoins now.

There is still a slight chance that Bitcoin might skyrocket again just like what happened last year but the chances are really if we expect an organic growth. The Bitcoin hype last year is really strong unlike today and it seems like a long bear market will occur if the price fall still continues.

I didn't find any bad news or FUD against Bitcoin recently and still, a free fall happened. Maybe this is a part of those manipulators group that when they all have the chance to earn a huge profit they will do an organized dumping activity that will cause the market to crash drastically just like what happened 2 days ago. Just like other people, I do believe that there are an organized group of whales behind this free fall. I don't think we will break $5,000. On that 10% or so chance that we do $4,000 should be the absolute floor.

No way in hell are we going near $1,000 again. There are simply too many people that got in over $10,000 and will double down on anything below $5,000 like mad men.

Bitcoin is currently not what I expected, I had hoped and predicted that Bitcoin would rise dramatically like at the end of 2017, but in fact it dropped, I hope to stay calm and not sell at cheap prices now.

I think if bitcoin goes down this only temporarily, it seems that there really isn't any bad news that is happening, so this is a reasonable decline and still hope that this condition won't last long.

indeed, many predictions are wrong, don't be discouraged, this guy hasn't passed the end of the year, we hope there will be an increase, I think this causes people to panic in the current decline, so prices fall.

No matter what happened this past night came, the biggest concern that bitcoin's value dropped by less than 6k$ it was feared by other holders and traders that its probably the end of bitcoin that has fallen as far as which is not really the case. We only just need to be strong in our beliefs and increase our lanyards at the right time to sell the coins we hold that can get a great deal of profit later.

You might think it's time to invest, buy a lot of bitcoins to make a profit, as current prices are falling ;D. Right now, collect as many Bitcoin coins to stay there, then be patient to get unexpected profits in the future. Just my idea. :)

yes the dropping price on the November 2018 is the second worst in this year, the first time is on march from $11K to $7000 and right now the price of bitcoin is drop again more and more

Hey the recent crash took place due to the civil war of Bitcoins cash, if you remember prior this bitcoin prices were stable for few months, it had found good resistance at 6k levels. I believe that bitcoin prices shall bounce back to 6k, and above levels very soon as the after effects of the war is slowly fading away. While it's true no one can predict it, we can be optimistic that the prices shall rally upwards soon.

Not just Bitcoin decline that seems crypto entire crypto market decline. The value of Bitcoin at the moment makes many investors gradually lose confidence with it. I do not think Bitcoin will reach $ 10k later this year.

You're Jr.Member, I do not know if you have a lot in this crypto currency because I do not know you, but I assure you that it will not be like that in a month. The market is the same as last year, the same as ups and downs, it is repeating itself.

The sharp dipping of Bitcoin is unexpected but inevitable because of it volatility. Even the the stock market fell deeply which is a clear indication that Bitcoin has the potentials to crumble our finances and equally can uphold the finances of any country if consider as a currency. Investor who are afraid of the sharp fall panicly sell off their asset (Bitcoin) to the whales, remember Bitcoin price will spring up again, HODL don't SELL. 

I think the market this year with a different year ago, we know that in the last year at the end of the year it was clear that the price was already high. but this year it was very difficult to rise even though it was nearing the end of the year. bitcoin is very difficult to predict the price, bitcoin can also change its price every year.

Apparently, this year is really a bad year for crypto. But for me personally, no matter how bad this year. I remain optimistic, sooner or later. This condition will turn around
