First off, just wanna say great list!!!

You may wanna add details about if its still possible to use the exchange without verifying their account, the corresponding withdrawal limit if yes and maybe you could also rate their transparency?

Great list, hope to see more exchange listed here.

Add also kucoin but for more reference: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/

Waiting to see your list with full info.

Are you sure about Bittrex and the KYC? I remember having an account there and I couldn't withdraw my funds, they forced me to pass identity verification which I refused to do. I think it became obligatory for some time now.

Correct. I just had another look at the page:

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/231701788

Seems like $3000 withdrawal without any KYC was possible before, but not anymore (basic verified accounts = e-mail verification only):

https://i.imgur.com/rp4BKdb.png

Thanks for correcting! I want you guys to keep an eye on the comparison (soon it'll be a comparison of more than 25 exchanges) and keep updating me with the corrections wherever/whenever applicable.

I think you should change the date for Blockchain.com because they haven't started exchange services until recently (for fiat it was January 2018 IIRC). People would assume that this service is good because it lasted since 2011 which is not necessarily the case.

I also believe they use Simplex for credit card buying, and ShapeShift/Changelly for the rest. It could be a good idea to write a warning at the bottom of the thread telling me people that their identity could be exposed to other parties.

Can anyone tell me the listing price on YOBIT?

It's in their site:
Listing type:
• Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee
• Premium - 0.1 btc - 4-7 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)
• Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 2-3 business days (no guarantee in case of compilation issues)

But I would advice you to stay away from it. It's buggy and reeks of bad rep, listing there could backfire at your token. Its also prolly why op didn't list it even tho infos are in public (i could be wrong tho)

Oh, and they require a topic here in the forum with images, but I can not put images, right?

Newbies aren't allowed to post images but you can avail copper membership by paying a small fee, info here: copper membership (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104).

Fatbtc has options for both free  (https://fatbtc.com/notice-detail?id=439)and paid listing  (https://i.imgur.com/iXc6ZKy.png)apparently. As for the KYC, I can't find much info except that someone on Reddit  (https://www.reddit.com/r/PayPie/comments/7wnan2/anyone_use_fatbtccom/du1ujel)had to go through verification to withdraw his tokens from what I understood, and also from bitcointalk  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4188233.msg38442076#msg38442076)that you can only withdraw 0.1 BTC per 24 hours on tier 1 account (which I assume you could only avoid by verifying your account). The exchange was established in 2014 from what I found on CoinGecko, abitgreedy, Quora etc.

Came by this list because I'm about to run out of options for fiat handling. Would love to hold forever but as earn 100% in crypto now, no choice but to sell for fiat to pay bills etc.

1. All my trades when liquidating to fiat is with Bitcoin on P2P. Earnings are diversifying into other major alts. But as am losing quite a bit of fees and time exchanging alts I do earn to Bitcoin first, have used options like BitPanda to liquidate other crypto to fiat (SEPA preferred), but as cannot verify being non-EU, I am hitting my max limit and need other places.

2. Bittrex is the only option listed, but I can't verify with them as they need TWO bills (I only have 1).

Any other option for international bank transfer when withdrawing?

I use Kraken and they are very sensible in terms of KYC which is tiered. It links to my barclays account with no problems withdrawing at all.

@Raja I wish I could, but the problem is I've not been a resident of my country for more than half of my life, working abroad for as long as I recall. Also don't stay long at places. So coming to KYC, they generally want a residence proof that is the same location as my passport, or resident card. But most places won't accept temporary residence cards, so I'm stuck on using my national ID or passport - which I can usually get ONE bill verified with.

I may be forced to try something a bit drastic, like maybe getting someone to sign me up for something at the address. Does anyone have good experience with Bittrex fiat withdrawal? Stayed away from Kraken after reading about horrible experiences there.

HitBtc does have KYC  (https://support.hitbtc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000709569-How-to-verify-my-account-)but It's very unclear on how they do it (I suggest writing it in red so people are aware). From what I searched and understood (From Reddit), It can happen anytime they detect some unusual (or so they say) activity in your account.

Okex has fiat trading  (https://www.okex.com/otcTrade) (only deposits apparently) using Bank account, Alipay & WeChat pay. Poloniex seems to have enforced KYC  (https://bitcoinist.com/everything-need-know-new-poloniex-verification-policy/) as well (applies for both old and new users).

Yes but will there be any chance for the people who lost their coin? I highly doubt. Either way they have to close the business.

Really hacked : How are they gonna recover all the loses to run the business?
Scammed: It was planned

So, either way the customers who lost their coins gets nothing.

IMO, Cryptopia should continue its services and recover the (hacked) coins through the profits they make. ::)

True; we might get to see a good Topia drama soon.

IMO, Cryptopia should continue its services and recover the (hacked) coins through the profits they make. ::)
Why would anyone do that when they can start over with those money they have with a different name, different brand may be. I am sure they made tons of money from all these years.

It seems like I'll soon have to make a new entry of Binance DEX:

Binance’s Decentralized Exchange Is About to Launch for Public Testing

https://www.coindesk.com/binances-decentralized-exchange-is-about-to-launch-for-public-testing

The most interesting part:

Quote
Further, there will be a listing fee of about $100,000 for tokens listed on Binance DEX – a high entry hurdle that he said was set to reduce the number of “spam or scam projects.”

Since you've been posting about that exchange everywhere on the forum and you probably know a lot about that (new) exchange, could you please tell me some more details of it?

Like:

I wouldn't suggest adding ChangeNow.io to the list, this scam accusation  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4619534.0)made them lose any credibility even after returning the funds.

Thanks a lot!

It seems like it'd not be wise to add any such exchange to the list; if I do add that, I'll indirectly be responsible for scamming the people.

I'm sorry, @Ave_Maximus! I can't add that exchange.

If any of you have any suggestion(s) regarding these modifications, please lemme know. I'd like to know what I should add and what I shouldn't.

Cryptopia should be removed.

Now they had the 2nd hack and saying that,

The report claims that the exchange platform does not have control over their Ethereum wallets’ private keys and that the hacker is the one in control.

So, I am pretty sure that cryptopia is gone for good.

Removed it upon your request.

Cryptopia is now back on the list! :)

Huobi asks for KYC else they restrict the amount you can withdraw. These are the withdrawal limits: https://huobiglobal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000074411-Withdrawal-Limits

I don't think Cryptopia should be added so soon as they haven't enabled deposits/withdrawals of many coins including ETH. Etherdelta and Tidex should be added to the list.

Luno requires verification unless you're only planning to send and receive bitcoins in the wallet. You can stick to basic info but it there will be limits (https://www.luno.com/en/countries#levels) for both deposits and withdrawals.

Bithumb also has KYC/AML implemented since May 2018 (https://twitter.com/BithumbOfficial/status/998471585269874688). (I believe enforced for everyone).

Huobi asks for basic info  (https://support.huobi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019656052-KYC-Upgrade-Completed)(first name, last name, phone number, address, etc.) just like Luno and ask you to send other info such as Selfie, ID, etc. when you want to increase your limits.

Gate.io KYC is mondatory for withdrawal  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4460930.0)apparently (just put it as required because it's a tricky one, you deposit and then force you to pass KYC If you want to withdraw your money). I sent Luno an email about whether they accept listing new coins requests, and what are the fees/criteria and this was their response:

Quote
Luno does not provide details about the specific feature request or product at this time.

We are always exploring new products and features, and I will provide feedback to our product development team about your request.

The answer didn't make much sense to me but from what I understood, they are not taking requests, rather they study coins themselves (not based on requests) and list them.

I linked the tweet for Bitfinex just as a proof/reference that it's their real Telegram channel because I joined it, and it looks kinda fishy. I got instantly restricted from posting on the group, a few minutes later, someone (with very poor English) contacted me claiming that he's from the Staff so I suggest everyone to be careful there.

As for the ones you already listed, HitBtc channel looks abandoned, they haven't posted anything since 5 months now.

You have done a wonderful job. I actually redirected to this page from google. I will be glad if you can add features such as the estimated numbers of users on each exchange site. As we all know now that one of the important factors to consider before listing on any exchange is the numbers of active users because it gives indication on how decent is the exchange. So many exchange this day have few traders but provide fake trading volumes in order to deceive people and get ranked in coinmarket cap.

Interesting suggestion. I remember I thought about it once but then gave up as there doesn't seem to be any suitable indicator in existence that can tell about the estimated number of users on each exchange. The only good indicator I can think of is the Alexa ranking, but then again, it's not like that it's totally unmanipulable.

Any suggestions regarding this?

Yes!

In order to open a margin account on Binance, you will need to have completed identity verification (KYC) and make sure your country is not in the blacklist. It is also mandatory that you enable 2FA.

Guys, soon I'm going to replace the "BTC withdraw fee" column with a brand new "Alexa ranking" column. Moreover, I'll sort the exchanges by their Alexa rank.

If any of you have any suggestion(s) regarding this, please lemme know. I don't think that "BTC withdraw fee" column is of any use at all.

You can google something like "Binance (or whatever exchange) userbase" and that might give you decent results but it's hard to tell the current situations as some of the articles are old.

If you insist on adding Alexa ranking, I would suggest trying Similarweb.com instead where you can also do comparisons between sites.

Thanks for your suggestion! Wow, there seems to be a lot of difference in these two platforms.

According to SimilarWeb:

Bittrex's top visitors include (by percentage share):

https://i.imgur.com/d6uA3k9.png

OTOH, according to Alexa, Bittrex's top visitors include (by percentage share):

https://i.imgur.com/nHu0cRx.png

Same is the case with other exchanges (Binance, Poloniex, etc), and I think that Similarweb should be trusted more, as having Russia and Turkey in top 5 make much more sense than having India in the top 3. However, at the same time, Alexa's ranking can't be completely ignored as they've been working since April 1, 1996. (Wait, 1st April?!? Is that Alexa ranking all about making "April fool"?) :D

Anyways, what do you say about the usage of the sum of both the rankings divided by 2? For example, if Binance has an Alexa ranking of 752 and a SimilarWeb ranking of 958, we can just consider it to be (752+958)/2 = 855?

you might consider adding a column to indicate things like slow-paying, withholding withdrawals, or similar scam accusations. it looks like trade satoshi is having some problems: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/trade-satoshi/

Quote
We have received reports from the Safex and ColossusXT teams that user deposits are being withheld. Please be careful with your funds.

i think there are similar accusations against hitbtc and yobit too.

you might consider adding a column to indicate things like slow-paying, withholding withdrawals, or similar scam accusations. it looks like trade satoshi is having some problems: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/trade-satoshi/

Quote
We have received reports from the Safex and ColossusXT teams that user deposits are being withheld. Please be careful with your funds.

i think there are similar accusations against hitbtc and yobit too.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about adding those columns, as almost no exchange is perfect. Scam accusations exist for almost every exchange out there. However, what do you say if I add a column of "frequency of accusations at Bitcointalk" and list the total number of accusations received by each of the exchanges within this forum till now?

Moreover, that "slow-paying" column can get very confusing as well. Today, I literally received a withdrawal from TradeSatoshi within 60 seconds, while Binance took about 20 minutes to process my BTC withdrawal (resultantly, my BitPay's invoice got expired and I had to write a ticket to them about this delay); but I just cannot say in any way that TradeSatoshi is faster than Binance, because sometimes Binance processes the withdrawals faster while TradeSatoshi doesn't.

Nessie.io seems to be one exchange that is taking a small fee as well 0.1% and they look like they can do deals. Not sure of the exchange itself on volume because they are associated with Bitcoinrush casino, so there should be a few alts for trading there. What do you think?

Nessie.io is redirecting to a website titled "MoneyPot", and that doesn't seem like an exchange or a trading website. Are you sure that you've posted the URL of the correct website/platform?

A column if the deposit address is renewable would be nice.

bleutrade, coinex, btcpop, southx

it's a tricky issue but obviously some exchanges are more trustworthy than others. one metric could be trust flags on bitcointalk. for example, livecoin has a red trust flag with significant support: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=462136

but if an exchange is really small or doesn't have a big forum presence, they won't necessarily be flagged. the complaints against tradesatoshi (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5166287.0) are mounting. coinmarketcap has also begun warning about tradesatoshi: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/trade-satoshi/

at some point, one should stop recommending these exchanges at all. if they stay on the list, there should be some indication of the issues.

Moreover, that "slow-paying" column can get very confusing as well. i don't consider 20 minutes "slow-paying". i'm thinking more about withholding withdrawals for days, weeks, indefinitely---like mt gox and cryptsy were doing before they went down. keeping wallets in "maintenance" mode for weeks or months constitutes similar scam behavior. and i wouldn't have a separate column for slow-paying......just one column to cover all scam issues.

Thanks for your suggestion and feedback; I totally understand what you're saying. To tackle that issue, I've come up with the following solution:

-I'll be compiling all the complaints of each exchange submitted to the Scam Accusation section, and post them all in a thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168200.0) with a separate post for each exchange.

-From each of post, which will have the overall compilation of scam accusations of a specific exchange, the frequency/no. of total accusations may be extracted and used in this thread in a new column.

-The exchanges that have the most scam accusations will be colored as red.

What do you think about this?

A column if the deposit address is renewable would be nice.

bleutrade, coinex, btcpop, southx

Even though I know absolutely nothing about any of those exchanges, I'll still have a look at them and try to add them to the comparison. Thanks, mate!

They have been very reliable to me, I can recommend them. Anonymous withdraws are coins worth 500 USD every day.

Anyways, what do you say about the usage of the sum of both the rankings divided by 2? For example, if Binance has an Alexa ranking of 752 and a SimilarWeb ranking of 958, we can just consider it to be (752+958)/2 = 855?

I still think that it's unnecessary to add such a ranking (as it's mostly based on traffic), even though the formula you're suggesting is pretty simple.

IMO, it'd be quite cool as we'll get to know which exchange has the most traffic. If an exchange has a lot of traffic and has a very low ranking, it's a sign that the exchange is wash-trading.

Well, that thread isn't for all the users and it's only to keep a track of all the scam accusations previously (or newly) posted on the Scam Accusations section. You're not supposed to make a scam accusation there.

thanks for doing this. i appreciate your thorough approach.

a couple questions:

1. do you think there should be a merit requirement for the "major" label? it seems more important that there is proof of the scam, multiple corroborating complaints, high value of losses. i know these are more subjective though.

2. maybe you could highlight the major ones in the compilation posts? for example, there are 3 scam accusations listed here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168200.msg52032250#msg52032250) but it's not clear which one is the "major" one.

1. I believe that if the accusation has some weight, it'll automatically gain at least some merit. Moreover, the requirement of having at least a little merit on the profile will prevent exchanges from getting fake users (with no merit) accusing other exchanges.

2. That's a very nice suggestion and I'll work on it today.

The exchange doesn't look so professional, to be honest, and they have a decent amount of scam accusations from what I've seen by googling.

I made an account, and I managed to get some info regarding the fees  (http://i.epvpimg.com/TWdYfab.png)(I wouldn't recommend adding them).

Nice list, but I am surprised with some exchanges listed like Yobit, Tradesatoshi and C-Cex. Against all of them, you can find a lot of scams accusations. They do not deserve any possible positive advertisements.

p.s. You can consider adding CoinExchange (https://www.coinexchange.io) I use them for a long time, and never have any problem there.

Hmmm... what do you exactly mean by the phrases "surprised with some exchanges" and "positive advertisements"? I don't think that I'm trying to convince anybody here that some specific exchange is better than some other specific exchange; I'm only providing a comparison here. Very soon, we'll have the column of "No. of major accusations" in the comparison, and only then you may say that I'm trying to separate the "good" and "bad" exchanges in the comparison. ;D

I have a bad experience with C-Cex and Tradesatoshi. For example, C-Cex just disable my account and I can't access to him, it is just my lucky circumstance and hasn't any balance there.
Any mention without "scam" "fraud" ... along his name can be called positive ads.
I know your true intention is not to praise them, but some beginner can read this and will not see the problem to begin to use them.

one thing though, c-cex exchange has been dead for a couple of months now. I remember last year they started deleting accounts from their website that steal their money and slowly run away.

I think that you should add CoinDeal (https://coindeal.com/) to this list. It's one of the fastest developing exchanges this times. They have really attractive fees and what's more interesting - the highest security practices and standards like for example SSL standards or mandatory 2FA, a user also gets email notifications about login attempt from different IP than usual. This exchange is also protected by CloudFlare security and funds are stored in cold wallets.

I have a request, can you do a bit extra work by categorizing it between KYC only and non-KYC exchanges for more knowledge to gain extra understanding on where we can trade without fear of withdrawals after KYC only?

And can you add a column with minimum deposit/ withdrawal in BTC only?

OP thanks for the list you have taken down here.

I have a request, can you do a bit extra work by categorizing it between KYC only and non-KYC exchanges for more knowledge to gain extra understanding on where we can trade without fear of withdrawals after KYC only?

And can you add a column with minimum deposit/ withdrawal in BTC only?

Hmmm I'm afraid that I won't be doing that, because:

-Soon, I'm going to put the exchanges according to their traffic rank (Alexa + SimilarWeb), so that people may know that which of the exchanges are mostly used. However, later on, there's a possibility that I make a few additional posts in this thread and sort the comparison in different ways in those posts, and then link those posts to OP so that if someone wanna see that which exchange requires less KYC or which exchange has remained comparatively more online, they may use those comparisons instead of the primary/main one, which is in OP.

-I'm already setting up the following thread to put an extra column of "scam accusations" in the comparison:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168200.0

...and because of that, I might even have to remove that "BTC withdraw fee" column. So the addition of an extra column (and especially the one which is not very frequently used) wouldn't be a very good idea, IMO.

Anyways, thanks for the suggestions! :)

- For mobile apps: Binance (https://www.binance.com/en/download), Kucoin (https://www.kucoin.com/download).
- KYC: CoinDeal (https://coindeal.com/legal/aml-and-kyc) (enforced for everyone).
- For Blockchain's exchange (the pit), here is a list of the 'selected countries (https://pit.blockchain.com/availability)'.

Thanks, updated! :)

First off, just wanna say great list!!!

You may wanna add details about if its still possible to use the exchange without verifying their account, the corresponding withdrawal limit if yes and maybe you could also rate their transparency?

Non-US BitMEX trader here.
A few leverage trading sites that I know are not actively banning US IPs RIGHT NOW & SO FAR requires no KYC:
BaseFEX
Quedex
KuMEX
The issue with Binance isn't US authority requiring KYC. It is some more complicated legislation which essentially requires all American leverage traders to only trade on US-based, regulated, taxable exchanges. But they don’t have eyes on every exchange out there.

Wow, I didn't even hear about BaseFEX and Quedex before. I'll soon be adding those three exchanges to the comparison, thanks mate!

I'm a representative of Quedex, let me clarify a few things:
  • We don't accept US customers.
  • We have a requirement to complete basic KYC during onboarding.
  • We've been just awarded a Gibraltar licence: https://cointelegraph.com/news/gibraltar-grants-first-crypto-derivatives-license-to-local-exchange, and strive to provide a transparent and orderly place to trade crypto derivatives - as this milestone has been completed, we are planning to continue improving liquidity and expanding operations.

Both BaseFEX[1] and CoinEX[2] doesn't require any ID verification.

I came across this website (https://withdrawalfees.com/), I think you should link it for the "withdrawal fee" column as it contains the fees for all the coins and not just BTC (some exchanges may not be listed yet tho).

Sadly TuxExchange has closed, so you can remove it from your list..

"Hello Everyone, Tux Exchange is terminating operations on July 6th 2019, largely due to unfavorable regulatory conditions. All funds must be withdrawn before July 6th 2019. After that time, we will provide best effort services via support ticket until July 15th 2019 when all services will cease. - New signups and deposits are terminated effective immediately. - Trading and withdraws will terminate July 6th 2019. - Support services will cease July 15 2019. It has been a pleasure serving the community and this was not an easy decision. Thank you for your support and loyalty over the years. Sincerely, Tux Exchange"

It seems very hard for new legit crypto projects to succeed without gimmicks and/or huge advertising budgets..
This exchange ran for a few years, never sought any sort of funding or investments, and as far as I know never lost anyones money, got hacked, or scammed anyone, so big props to them IMO for running an honest service!
I hope they atleast broke even on all the money they invested into this business attempt. I know they were paying for their servers and everything right out of their own pockets.. I would participate in another project with them in the future in a heartbeat..

First of all, it is a wonderful and such an unique system, great to watch and easily understand.
If you add best exchange of the year, best volume of the year, most added bitcoin in a exchange, it will also help the trader or investor.

Coinex doesn't support  (https://support.coinex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006026894-What-should-I-know-before-trading-in-CoinEx-)fiat trading. As for BitBay, you are required  (https://bitbay.net/en/helpdesk/beginner/do-i-need-to-verify-my-account)to go through KYC for withdrawing (both fiat and crypto).

I realize that you're going to add a column regarding the number of scam accusations against each exchange, but I still believe that Yobit should be removed from this list, it's with no doubt the shadiest and the most unprofessional exchange out there, they don't deserve any kind of publicity.

You can add https://exmarkets.com/ as now they are having a promo where no withdrawal fee is charged, neither for BTC, nor ETH nor any other altcoin token. Also, no KYC is required. Trading fee is 0.1-0.12% for popular pairs. Some tokens that are sold on the site during IEO have 0% trading fee.

re kumex's KYC requirements, they're the same as kucoin---up to 2 BTC daily withdrawal with no KYC. you actually just use your kucoin account on kumex---there's no separate login. https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin/comments/cbgfhz/kumex_user_tutorial_1_how_to_login/

this implies that unverified accounts have a global 2 BTC limit across both platforms. ie you can't withdraw 4 BTC daily.

I think that the "2FA" section is useless because pretty much all exchanges have a two-factor authentication of some kind.

Should I remove it completely?

Yes. Although apparently Quedex is still not offering it?

You might consider adding Bitcoin.com to the list. Everyone hates Roger Ver but you can withdraw "1 BTC daily or 5 BTC monthly without KYC." (https://twitter.com/whalepanda/status/1169916942108549125) They don't allow US traders but I assume I can squeak by with a VPN.....

I agree with removing the 2FA section and I also think you should take the DEX one as well.

A better way to do it would be to make another list for DEXs and separate it from the centralized exchanges.

Why the hell doesn't Quedex have a 2FA login in 2019? :'(

Bitcoin.com does provide a nice exchange platform and I'll look into its details right away so that I may include it in OP.

That's an interesting idea and I'll definitely look into it once I add at least 2-3 more DEXs (as of now there are only two DEXs listed). It'll also help in the cases like Binance, where you've got both, a DEX and a CEX.

2FA will be implemented soon on Quedex, stay tuned. To date we've had a second step of authentication based on PGP (read more), which technically is a two-step auth, but not two-factor. Proper 2FA is coming.

Apps: HitBtc (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hittechsexpertlimited.hitbtc&hl=en) (Early access), Indodax (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=id.co.bitcoin).

Regarding Exmarkets, I wrote to them, and apparently, KYC is not enforced as long as your daily withdrawals are not exceeding 10,000 EUR per day.

A couple of DEX'es to add:

- Paradex (http://Paradex) (an exchange acquired by Coinbase).U.S based, No KYC is required, officially launched (main net) in 2018, 0.15% fee. No withdrawal fees as everything is done P2P.

- Radar Relay (https://radarrelay.com/). It's U.S based as well, no KYC, no fees.

I recently used this exchange to trade a small amount for one of my hodlings.
I contacted (TG group) them to know about their KYC policy before depositing and they told me it is not required for the amount I'm willing to trade.

However, yesterday I made BTC withdrawal which took a long time to confirm (I went to sleep but maybe it took at least 15 hrs) because they paid 2 sats/byte. This is the only thing I didn't like.

If you are interested then you can add this one to the list with further research.

Code:
Name: Catex (https://www.catex.io/)
Launch: 2018 (3rd Quarter)
Trade fee: 0.1% most probably
Listing fee: ?
Btc withdraw fee: 0.0005 BTC
Leverage: No
Mobile app: No
Headquarters: ?
Fiat: No
KYC: At a certain point, not sure about the amount.
Dex: No
2fa: Yes

Regarding Okex, while googling about it, it seems like the company is based in Malta now? also, the KYC link is leading to a dead page.

This is absurd. I remember they had a nice support desk system at that URL; now it's all completely removed. They should've at least added some sort of redirection or something. ::)

It's so confusing. According to Wikipedia (and OKEx's official Twitter handle (https://twitter.com/OKEx)), the company is based in Malta. However, their support team calls only include the phone numbers of Hong Kong and Canada. OTOH, according to the following URL, they're based in Malaysia:

https://www.okex.com/pages/company/contactUs.html

Do they even physically exist somewhere or not?

it's the same as binance. they say they moved to malta but really it's just a business registration and an office. okex's real base of operations is hong kong---or maybe belize, depending who you ask.

in reality, i'm sure they have a physical presence in a handful of different countries.

Mercatox only requires  (https://mercatox.com/fees/index?page=6&per-page=25)KYC if you're withdrawing more than 0.5 BTC per day.

As for Catex (based in China (https://www.cryptocompare.com/exchanges/catex/overview)), it seems like it's mandatory. From their privacy policy (https://www.catex.io/privacy):

Quote
To comply with global industry regulatory standards including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know-Your-Customer (KYC), and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), Catex requires user accounts to undergo user identity authentication for both Personal & Enterprise-level accounts. This entails collecting formal identification.

I used it without KYC and I asked about it in TG before using it.

They said I don't need KYC for the amount I wanted to trade and the amount was pretty low. But I don't know from what amount KYC is mandatory.

I'm not really a fan of exchanges, but thanks to quite a bit of development over this year affecting how I'm able to trade out my Bitcoin (previously, P2P was my major, almost exclusive choice), I've had to try a few, and since last year been impressed with one based in Austria: BitPanda.com.

They don't have orderbooks (there is a new trading platform but it's separate) so it's more of a direct exchange at the rates given, and I've found them to be better priced than most other options (except P2P), and with no fees for withdrawals to SEPA, hard to find fault. They also have PSD2 licence, which is more than most other exchanges can say (seriously, I'm surprised how many don't have it), can verify most countries in the world, and have multiple fiat cashout options.

It's been really great with support too, and if I were forced to recommend one exchange, this is the one I would.

Trade fee: 1.49% (buy) 1.29% (sell)
Listing fee: Not sure, their token trading platform is new.
Age:
Mobile app: yes
Options: credit card, NETELLER, Skrill, Sofort, GIROPAY, Amazon.de vouchers (only payout), bank transfers.
Currencies: USD, GPB, EURO, CHF.
2FA: yes
HQ: Vienna, Austria
Since: 2014
No KYC limit: 30k EUR cashout lifetime.

Sorry if this sounds like a shill!

I did trade today. I even withdrew some EOS coins without any troubles. HitBTC is the least favorite of the exchanges i use thou due to its abnormal withdrawal fees.

LOL! Hitbtc's withdrawal fee system is just rubbish. I also ignore this exchange as much as I can...

Once I invested $300 or $350 in a shit token and got 34808 +/- of those tokens.
A few months ago when I logged in to withdraw that shit token to my wallet for safety, the fee were above 28000 (34808 - 28000 = 6808). I was very angry and left tokens there.
But after seeing your post, I visited Hitbtc now and the current withdrawal fee of that token is 173913 and I even can't withdraw the tokens, hopefully I'll never be able to withdraw that token. Dead never comes to life again.

Sorry if it is little bit Off-topic.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. Back in December 2017, I uploaded a little amount of BTC (about 0.007 I guess) to buy DENT; bought them and then saw their fee which was actually something like $40 worth of DENT. ::) Unique way of scamming, LOL.

Just like my suggestion regarding DEXes, I think that BitPanda and any other fiat exchange should be put separetely. The table fields are also not going to be the same, especially that there should be a mention of the payment methods accepted (for deposits and withdrawal) by the exchange, etc.

Yes, that makes sense. I'll work on that once I'm done compiling the list of Scam Accusations of each exchange. Bitpanda, however, should be separately covered in both type of exchanges (fiat and crypto), as they do have a very nice crypto-to-crypto exchange platform as well:

Regarding HitBtc, unless the KYC limits that you added are disclosed on their website, it's probably a bad idea to keep them on the thread.

I realize that you've added them based on Logfiles review, but that's not everyone's experience. In fact, If you google, you'll find plenty of scam accusations (Twitter, Reddit & Bitcointalk) regarding HitBtc closing accounts and asking people to go through KYC even though the amounts these users were trying to withdraw were not that high.

The blockchain.com seems to have introduced a brand new exchange system inside their platform and I'd love to know more about it from people around who've used it:

https://pit.blockchain.com/

It'd be better if the blockchain.com exchange (in opening post) is replaced by this new platform (pit.blockchain.com).

Crypto-Bridge is shutting down[1][2] (not permanently) and will be coming back (not sure when) with a new exchange.

For Blockchain.com, adding the PIT (which launched a few months back actually) is definitely better because if you're listing any service that uses ShapeShift and Changelly, you'll have to list other wallet providers (Exodus, Coinomi, Atomicwallet, etc.) as well.

Oh man, that's bad to hear. Most of the coins which paid for Crypto-Bridge listing are low-cap and can't afford repeated listings. This sounds quite bad for them.

Funny, this was supposed to be a DEX.

Crypto-Bridge removed.

TBH, this looks like a seriously neat exchange.

Free token listing on Tradence Exchange. Be the first 10 tokens to be listed for free on our exchange. It’s a limited time offer; hurry and fill-up the form (at the bottom) to stand a chance to be listed for free.

I will add Tradence to the comparison, but this thread ain't a very suitable place to announce such a free token listing promotion.

Bybit now has mobile apps both for Android and iOS. I downloaded it recently and used it to trade a couple of times. Personally i liked the UI and notification feature.

The link to download the app on your mobile device appears automatically when you visit Bybit on mobile.
Here is the link: https://app.bybit.com/download/en.html

Not that it really matters, but Kucoin/Kumex are headquartered in Singapore, not Hong Kong.

https://www.linkedin.com/company/kucoin
https://www.techinasia.com/singapore-crypto-exchange-kucoin-nets-20m-investors-idg-matrix-partners

Singapore must be pretty lax in terms of regulation. Kucoin, Coinbene, Bybit all offer unverified accounts with high withdrawal limits. Wex.nz was also registered there.

Thank you for creating this topic.
I was looking for something like this.

I see that Coinmarketcap website added a bunch of new unknown exchanges,
and they are reported as having largest volume! I think this info is false and I don't trust CMC at all.
Maybe there is some legit exchange in this list:

Most of these exchanges on the pic you're showing have scam accusations on the forums. I do agree that CMC should do a better work (maybe more requirements to get listed there) but IMO it's the user's responsability to do research about the platform he's trading on, you should not assume that a coin/exchange is reliable just because it's listed there.

Looking at CMC, exchange with most adjusted volume is LBANK ?!  ::)

I would like If OP can examine them if he can.

I have used this list for a long time but now I have another suggestion. Can you remove Hitbtc from the list? This is a fraudulent exchange and is not giving lots of people withdraw their money. so getting rid of this list will help newbies who don't have to choose HitBTC and they will be safe.

Hmmm... Well, I did remove YoBit because of a similar reason (being so scammy). However, instead of removing HitBTC as well, I've added the following in the opening post:

re the warning, excellent idea. a lot of people see these list/comparison threads and probably assume they are "whitelisted". it's important to remind everyone to do their own research before trusting an exchange with their money.

i'm fine with yobit being on there. a lot of people around here still use yobit, and i've personally never experienced any negative issues as a customer. (i also wouldn't risk depositing too much money there either!)

BTW, personally, I've never experienced anything bad at Yobit as well. However, I only use it once or twice a year for 0.01 to 0.10 BTC worth of alts buy, so my opinion on Yobit shouldn't carry much value. I've been doing this for the last 4-5 years I guess, with the same old account.

The PIT: trading fees vary  (https://pit.blockchain.com/fees)depending on your volume and it's not fixed to 0.24%/0.14%, there are no fees  (https://exchange-support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030874812-Deposit-Withdrawal-Fees-Crypto-)for the withdrawal (crypto ones at least).

As for Graviex, then according to ForkDrop (https://forkdrop.io/graviex), KYC is not required.

-headquarters: either estonia (https://nomics.com/exchanges/crex24) or cyprus. Raja_MBZ, you've been trading there? what's the deal with KYC? i can't tell from this page (https://crex24.com/aml) whether it's required or if they "reserve the right" to request it.

IMHO they made that,to increase traffic, and be acceptable for regulation (my opinion)
but they seem presently attached to keep a DEX character for users.

With the high number of nodes, public Github code, and Keeper wallet, I guess it'd be better if it is categorized as a DEX.

The launch date on the second column may be misleading, as it doesn't tell anything about the history of the company.

If you consider Poloniex, it was the greatest exchange up to 2017, when its creator sold it to Circle. It changed owner again in 2019, and moved its HQ from Massachusetts to the Carribean, then to the Seychelles.

So the 2014 launch date is correct, but today's Poloniex is totally different from what it was 6 years ago.

Maybe it would be better to state the date when the company last changed hands? Great initiative, though.

This is a very good suggestion. I guess I should rename the current column to "initial launch date" and right next to it, add another column labeled as "changed ownership?". Under this new column, the link to the details/date of the change in ownership may be added.

What do you think about this solution?

It's a good suggestion but my worry is whether it's possible to gather all that information about all the exchanges in the list  :D

Maybe, You could just make additional notes below with links of details of exchanges that have changed ownership (i believe it's just a few of them that are very old and have changed owners) otherwise the table is going to be super large with more columns and it will be hard to follow up a row while scrolling across when one is trying to read through info about a specific exchange.

Hehe, well, if I put all the details in a single column, it'll obviously ruin the alignment of the whole table. However, what I meant was a "link" to the details of the ownership change. That link may lead to a post/thread/web-article/etc.

Under this new column, the link to the details/date of the change in ownership may be added.

I guess I should've been clearer with my words. :D

This is actually horrifying; Binance controls a hell lot of volume and if Binance gets shut or if CZ (somehow) gets jailed, crypto might temporarily face a big decline.

Crex24: According to this tweet[1], KYC is only mandatory for EU citizens.
The pit: If your trading volume exceeds 1999$ per year (ridiculous), you'll have to verify your account:

Also, I'm not sure who suggested Tradence, but I think you should remove it. Hmmm, well, I'm not so sure about removing an exchange that is currently online and working. Even though they may have a very low volume, but that's not supposed to be a reason for disclusion of it.

Godex.io added to the comparison.

I think I'll have to split up the table now, as it seems like I've hit the limit:

Crex24: According to this tweet[1], KYC is only mandatory for EU citizens.
The pit: If your trading volume exceeds 1999$ per year (ridiculous), you'll have to verify your account:

Thanks for this information! I'll update it right away. Sorry for the delay.

It is official but it seems in reality not quite like that. I am from EU, I remember when they informed all of us about mandatory KYC but I never tried to pass KYC on Crex24. Even if that, I can't see any restriction on my account. Still, I can maximum withdraw 31.5BTC.
When I going to fiat withdraw(USD/Eur), there is only Perfect money as options, and it says clearly "No verification needed". I have not tried this.

Due to the above issue, the addition of new exchanges will be in the second post of the thread. The second table (which will be added in the second post) is currently in the making.

Have you tried to withdraw though? I don't think that the 31.5 BTC limit is related to your account's verification level because I just tried to withdraw 2X2 and it said the maximum amount is 10000000000 which is equal to 6700BTC

Due to the above issue, the addition of new exchanges will be in the second post of the thread. The second table (which will be added in the second post) is currently in the making.

I think I suggested this a few months ago... I think you should consider splitting the list into three categories: Instant exchanges, Centralized exchanges and DEXes. That would make it much easier to browse. Also, feel free to use my list (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218464) to add more exchanges.

Divided the table into two parts. The first part is in the opening post while the second part is in the second post of the thread.

That's a nice list that you've created; good job!

I think I should first add all of the instant exchanges that you have in your thread, and then classify DEXes, instant exchanges, and centralized exchanges. The only reason why I'm hesitating in doing that is due to the huge percentage of centralized exchanges. Not many DEXes and instant exchanges are around, most of the exchanges that I've included in my table are centralized exchanges.

Hello! Tell me what exchanges are now easy to list at low prices if the project is not a Scam, but an honest one?

Please have a look at the "Listing fee" column in opening post.

Centralized exchanges are in general difficult to get listed on, and that also includes the ones that doesn't charge any fee. I suggest you reach out to DEXes[1][2] instead.

I've received several requests of less-known exchanges (who'd like to get listed) in the opening post of this thread; I'm trying to explore them one by one.

I'm sorry for not being able to keep this thread updated on a regular basis in the last few weeks!

Hey @Raja_MBZ Longtime no see!
Just wanted to provide you with a few updates of the platforms I use.

1.  KuCoin did a rebranding (https://land.kucoin.com/brand-upgrade-program?lang=en_US) from KuMEX to KuCoin Futures (https://futures.kucoin.com/) which is plausible because the KuMEX name kind of looked like an imitation of BitMEX

2.  Bybit introduced a fiat gateway that allows traders to buy crypto using fiat directly on their platform including Visa And Mastercard. 20 Fiat currencies supported (https://blog.bybit.com/updates/news/introducing-bybit-fiat-gateway-buy-crypto-with-ease/) so far.
