I have 200 dollars and I want to know if I should place it in XRP or ADA. I have both so spare the split 50/50 talk :)

Just want to mention that xrp is not a crypto. Those are centralized tokens made by some banking guys. But sure the profit does not have a name on it.

It is nice that you have money, but you dont know how to work with money. You simply cant invest into something what you do not understand.

I suggest you that you should place it in Cardano (ADA). Cardano is a good invesment, it is founded by the co-founder of Ethereum, Charles Hoskinson.

both of these altcoins are very good, but I suggest not to buy now, wait until the market is fully recovered. if you buy it now, it could be lower prices. so to reduce the risk of loss is better to wait.

I do not like Ripple and I think that people should not support this token because of its centralised structure. I mean every altcoin or token is better than Ripple. I would recommend to stay away from Ripple and buy ADA.

ADA!!! for longterm hodling, if you take XRP you will allways look when the price would be right to sell it, and since it's ripple, the big rip off in cryptoworld, it's a high probability of gaining money quick, but to have xrp is like a bet, you're betting on people stupidity.

Both XRP and ADA are good and promising for a bright future, i recommend you to divide your money to half, 50% use to buy XRP and 50% use to buy ADA.

In my opinion, you should invest in XRP. Because I believe XRP has enough potential. Investing in XRP will give you enough profit in the future. ADA is also good and it has also some potential. But if I were you, then I would invest in XRP.

For $200, I will split into two parts which I can use to invest in xrp and Ada. I see that xrp can be back to the higher price in the short-term and long-term and Ada can increase again as xrp so investing in xrp and Ada will worth for you. And it will better if you can get both xrp and Ada at the lower price, so you don't have to worry if the price moves to the low rate. Besides that, xrp and Ada are good for scalping trade to increase the amount of that coin and bitcoin too.

If I were you I would put 60% of my investment in Ripple and 40% of my investment in Cardano. Having ripple as todays ranked 2 in coinmarketcap makes it one of the most promising coins in the market like Ethereum and etc. I can see a much higher potential of XRP compared to ADA. That is why you should exceed the percentage of your investment in Ripple.

Hi. XRP is probably a safer investment considering that Ripple has more worldwide support, connections and name and is more actively developing and trying to get the big guys to back it up. Cardano might have more potential but is probably a higher risk. I would take both but a bit more XRP.

I think Ripple (XRP). Because Ripple is a best friend to banks  :) And at the moment has a good infrastructure. And also has many partnership agreements.

Both coins are profitable so you better not put your funds in one basket. If I will only be given a chance to choose one, it will be hard for me honestly but based on what I see, XRP has more haters and praises are in ADA. In terms of holding, I prefer XRP for short term holding and ADA for long term. Owing to the fact that my interest is more on cryptocurrencies and not just any centralized coin that is owned and controlled by some set of bankers, then i would go for ADA. If i am more concerned about immediate profit, then i will go for XRP and i believe that is what will attract most people to it. Also, there are so many other coins out there that can give more profit than XRP and they are decentralized in nature.

honestly, I don’t like both projects. I would recommend other things. but if we are talking about these, I would have invested $ 150 in a ripple and 50 in ADA.

Well, I think you don't have much money, anyway, you need to take in account that XRP  is centralized coin baked by a real company and many banks trust XRP and can adopt it without problem, but ADA is a full blockchain coin backed by its own community and strong developers team.

You've been on the forum for a while and so I'd really appreciate a response on evidence that XRP is centralized?  Can you show me current XRP ledger statistics that demonstrate centralization.  I'm seeing the exact opposite in that Ripple only control 7% of validators on the network.  Additionally, their control of UNL's is now down into the 30% range and dropping.  Also, the XRP that Ripple have are locked in Escrow only to be released at 1% of total supply each month for institutional sales.  In the past quarter institutional sales of XRP have gone up 400% indicating that customers are choosing to hold XRP for utility on the network.  Are my facts wrong?  Please show me where because the evidence I am currently looking at show that XRP is significantly more DECENTRALIZED than both BTC and ETH.  Ripple has created totally open source projects including the InterLedger Protocol.  XRP has no built in advantage on this ILP but Ripple knows that XRP will be the preferred digital asset used because its 1000x faster and 1000x cheaper to transact in that BTC.  Any other cryptos that offer comparable speed have ZERO liquidity meaning you can't actually buy and sell a meaningful amount without price slippage (nano, XLM, etc...).  Please help me understand the flaws in my conclusions.

XRP has a greater support from the community and some jurisdictions. ADA has so much potential, but their project is still a work on progress. Both of these coins are quite good. They have powerful blockchains and community. You can buy both of them and hold for long-term. As for me, I hold only XRP. I use it for fast transfers between exchanges.

I would prefer XRP in terms of investment. But in terms of development ADA I like more .

I think both of them are good. XRP is working on payment protocal and they even ready for the market many banks all over the the world accepting this technology where Ada is a platform based token and in development for a long time. So in term of present condition xrp is better but ripple is not decentralised that's the problem. And in upcoming future maybe they will be backed up by banks. So it's hard to make profit from xrp maybe. But in other hand Ada is not launched properly when they come we will see a hike up. And if they succeed we will make great profit from Ada. I prefer both but a little bit extra Ada for me.

To answer the OP's question its clear XRP is the more logical investment.  The team at Cardano doesn't yet have a working product, where as XRP is a critical tool being used by enterprise customers today to solve a trillion-dollar problem.  Also, XRP has just been touted the best decentralized digital asset for settlement by R3, an independent firm that will be using XRP to settle cross-border payments with their 200+ global customers.  XRP is the clear winner.  Faster, less expensive, more scalable, decentralized, 4 years ahead in terms of product development, best team in the industry.

They both are very different from each other. XRP is a banking based crypto. And the problem is it is backed by banks and it's too much centralized. And I don't like it and I don't think it as a crypto currency. But as a investment xrp is really good and they are getting bigger day by day. In other hand cardano is a platform based token . They are still in devlopment stage and they were in devlopment stage for last 18-20 months maybe. They are not published yet so they have a greater chance of growing more than xrp. So if I have to choose a crypto currency to invest I will go for cardano.

I have no doubt about that. Ripple is one of the most promising cryptocurrencies thus far. Good fundamentals, solid community support and plenty of partnership which should spearhead mass adoption for Crypto and blockchain as a whole. For ADA.... Mehn not so much. It was one of the most hyped projects in 2017 and did really well. 2018 just wasn't it's year. But It's yet another solid project. In all, both are good but I'll still with XRP.

Talking about ADA and XRP, I think both coins are very much good for investment. But I personally prefer ripple. I like ADA much more than XRP. But we should into consideration their history. Cardano is about 1 year at the market while Ripple is around 5.5 years old. It doesn't mean that ripple is better, but there is a room to think about.

From investment point of view I would split your sum between the two coins. From crypto philosophical point of view I would choose Cardano because Ripple is heavily centralized and probably supply manipulated coin.

You should be able to split your investment on the two coins and  not only on one. It will help to reduce the risk of losing.

How good you are to buy Cardano. Cardano prices are still cheap. You can hold it, in a short time if Cardano price starts to increase, you can sell it. Cardano is also one of the coins that has good potential.

I cannot hide how much I love ripple. Although it has many flags as some people say, it has many legit partners which is each for me to hold ripple than having 5000ADA which is not up to ripple's fame. I am also very optimistic about the way ripple will rise fast when we get to the bull's season.

I'm afraid you did not guess not with one coin. Ada is a dubious coin. HRP is not a cryptocurrency at all, but a banking tool. And more recently, there was news about frauds with him.

XRP is growing now and lot of people like it so he overtake ethereum in top2 in coinmarketcap so its nice to see those people switching from Ethereum to XRP.

My opinion is that the XRP platform has a lot more potential as a development and profit, I myself prefer to keep this coin as a long-term investment, and therefore my vote I give to the XRP coin. i havent searched about ada so much but i can speak about xrp. xrp is not as useful as it is known. the banks that use ripple project are not going to use xrp coin. xrp coin is overpriced only because of manipulations.
