Title: Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin?
Post by: rillater on December 04, 2018, 07:27:47 PM
Soon it will be a year since the bitcoin touched its maximum price, and after almost a year of downward trend, I would like to know if any cryptocurrency or any project has managed to beat the performance of Bitcoin. It seems that the decline of Bitcoin has dragged down the value of all cryptocurrencies, and regardless of how good a project was, its value has also declined.
Is there any cryptocurrency that is worth more now than a year ago?

Don't forget that the price of bitcoin goes a long way to determine the prices of altcoins as well. Thus a steady downtrend in Bitcoin also implies a a terrible price for altcoins as well.

There are quite few. I'm not sure how exactly you can check this specifically but I've had a quick look and it appears only one of the top 20 or so marketcap coins has done so and that is Binance Coin.

I mean that due to the fall of Bitcoin, the entire market has dropped in value. Although some cryptomonedas have endured better, I can not find projects that are worth more than a year ago, that means that the future of any project is very conditioned by the evolution of the market of large cryptocurrencies.

To be very honest with you there is no coin in the cryptocurrency that is as good as bitcoin and I really don't think there would be.

Yes this year is turning out quite to opposite for bitcoin as to last year but there is no doubt that bitcoin is an established coin and can pump up again

There are many interesting projects, but all of them are different from Bitcoin. All of them have their own advantages and disadvantages.
At the moment, I think that is too early to speak about the successor of Bitcoin. The king will be one for a long time.

But there is also the  fact that most alt coins always going down when bitcoins falls and going up when bitcoin is going up.
So pick the best time to invest in Bitcoin. Or maybe visit the altcoin section of this Forum ;)

Since bitcoin is definitely the king I think it rules the market. Where by other altcoins follow its foot steps I believe we have great coin out there one can buy in but to beat up bitcoin as a whole is quite impossible.

in short term:
of course, there are LOTS of altcoins that can be more profitable than bitcoin. for example bitcoin at best case scenario in the past has gone up about 30 to 40% in one week but there has been shitcoins that have gotten pumped 1000000 (1 million) percent in a couple of days. so they can be more profitable than bitcoin in short term.
but also altcoins are riskier because they get dumped just as much and lose that 1 million % pump as fast as they gained it. so you have to be careful to dump them before they dump on you.

in long term:
NO.
so far no altcoin could outperform bitcoin in the long run mainly because  altcoin rises are pumps and pumps can not last long without a dump. and when they get dumped they drop sharply and go down to their initial price or even lower.

I agree with you on this. Every altcoin depends on the value of bitcoin as well. If bitcoin is experiencing dips might as well affects altcoins' performance in the market. With the current bearish market, there's really no altcoin that can be more profitable than bitcoin. Maybe by next year there will be more promising projects that can give us decent amounts of profit in terms of its growth. We just have to be positive and wait for the bull run next year 2019.

You can check coinmarketcap if you really want to know.

It seems that the decline of Bitcoin has dragged down the value of all cryptocurrencies, and regardless of how good a project was, its value has also declined.

Shitcoins are worth less than Bitcoin, yes. That should be understood to anyone buying bitcoin. There are scammers pretending to have coins that are valuable to steal people's bitcoin. Nothing is as value or close to as valuable as bitcoin.

Is there any cryptocurrency that is worth more now than a year ago?

Bitcoin is worth more every time a block is solved. It's being sold at discount rates for the next few months.

After Satoshi Nakamoto created the bitcoin currency, he also created another cryptocurrency, and we used to call it alt-coin, even he had said that the purpose of alt-coin creation was solely only to correct the flaws in bitcoin. Therefore, alt-coin is the right answer to answer your question. Nevertheless, I did not conclude that each alt-coin was good, because in its performance only a few coins had the potential, for example ETH, EOS, ADA, LITECOIN, and there were still some other coins that I didn't mention.

Personally, I have never treated BTC as "profitable"..
For sure, other coins are more profitable..
BTC has it`s features and usefullness, therefore no need to expect profitability from BTC..

these are two different questions that you are asking here!
1. Is there any cryptocurrency that is worth more now than a year ago?
there was and still are a couple of altcoins that have a higher price than bitcoin. but that is not their value or worth. it is a manipulation. for example there is an altcoin named 42coin which has only 42 coins and because of that each coin of it has a high value which is a lot higher than bitcoin price. but it still is not worth anything.

2. Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin?
profit is a different matter. profit comes from trading and in trading how much you make depends on your strategies and your experience on how to ride the market. it doesn't all depend on the asset.

Until now, Bitcoin remains the parent of altcoins, every bitcoin movement can influence all coin tools. The market is always moving because the demand is always there and this continues even though bitcoin is worth falling but it can still make it better.

No doubt bitcoin is in downstairs now but it is a common nature for bitcoin because it could appear with its real power any time. So don't worry stay with bitcoin.

The price of many cryptocurrencies depends on the price of Bitcoin, often when the price of Bitcoin rises or falls, most other coins behave the same way. This happens because Bitcoin is the most popular and significant cryptocurrency at the moment. Therefore it's real to make money on other cryptocurrencies except Bitcoin. You can also follow on with new coins on the market, you can often make some money on them.

Bitcoin been the king in the market hasn't given way for other coins the chance to perform to its level. Although with the downtrend of bitcoin some other altcoin are gaining strength day in day out. But I think these few coin are profitable than bitcoin for a short while.

As the name suggest "Alternative coin" that is altcoin. it means bitcoin will always have dominium over other coin since no other digital coin is more accepted that bitcoin and even this can be seen in all exchange platforms that bitcoin is always paired with all other coin. Bitcoin is always having highest trading volume everyday. All these have made bitcoin more profitable than other coin. If the price of bitcoin decide to start falling again today then other altcoin price will also fall.

The US dollar serves as the global currency in determining the value of other currencies. The bitcoin being a pioneer cryptocurrency serves similar purpose. But it should be noted that  with the almost a year's decline in the value of bitcoin implies that it has finally conformed to the laws of Economics. As expected, the value of bitcoin has been declining in response to the decline in global GDP. Obviously, this may continue to first and/or perhaps second quarter of 2019 with consideration of global economic outlooks of major research institutions (the Economists, Bloomberg, etc).

The interesting stuff about all these is that with the aligning of bitcoin with the laws of economics is an indication that bitcoin and other cryptos have come to stay.

There is no cryptocurrency that is as good as bitcoin and I do not think it will be in the future. It will be impossible for an altcoin to be more valuable than bitcoin, considering that most other coins are influenced by the bitcoin price. If you are asking for a possible investment, I recommend that you not invest the entire amount in bitcoin, because the investment must be shared in several projects.

This market is under control. It does not depend on the news or the psychology of other investors. It only depends on the decision of the guys a lot of money.
We can make a lot of money in this market by luck. Charts and technical analysis will not work. Invest in the altcoins listed on the exchange. It will have very high chance of pumping because the price of ETH is quite cheap.

I'm afraid you can't find anything other than Bitcoin as a more profitable cryptocurrency that you ever find these days. As Bitcoin is on the top list of all cryptocurrencies and also the number one cryptocurrency that Satoshi ever made to decide the people to let them hold their own money instead of trusting it on the banks.

Other than that most altcoins these days are just following what does Bitcoin behaving in the market so your only choice is to stick to Bitcoin.

You can find several coins that have grown more than bitcoin in any moment in the market, as you may guess the real problem is to select and to invest in those coins before that happens, but you can do it if you are a skilled trader, but in order to do that you will probably have to dedicate all your free time just to try to find coins like that and it is not a sure thing that you will obtain profits out of your efforts.

All of cyrpto has oobviously been moving in a downward trend this year along with BTC. There may possibly be some that have increased in value, but the key thing to remember is that the lower you look in terms of marketcap, the more risk there is. Higher prices for the top coins reflect the fact that they are generally more established projects, and so less risky. Whilst all of crypto is risky to an extent, the questino is how much risk you want to take within crypto. It is very hard to know when a coin is about to rise unless you are on top of the rumours very early, and before the market as a whole becomes aware.

Nowadays many altcoins are more profitable than bitcoin but recent market is directly affected in majority of the altcoins so peoples are wrongly understand the current demand.
I think still some altcoins are good to trade because we will expect more profit in current trend. So who are really concentrate in trading they know how to make profit in all the situation.

It can be happened, but to choose an altcoin that really can give you a big profit compared to you investing in bitcoin is a little difficult. There are a lot of altcoins, and some of them like pump and dump prone you will always approach when choosing to invest in altcoins. So as you can spend a lot of time studying the altcoin price movements without following the price movements of bitcoin.

It seems that the decline of Bitcoin has dragged down the value of all cryptocurrencies, and regardless of how good a project was, its value has also declined.
Is there any cryptocurrency that is worth more now than a year ago?

If you follow the down trend of bitcoin history early this year all altcoin is also affected of the price dumped in the market, so do not expect that have an altcoins gives more profits than bitcoin at these recemt situation.

I dont think so any cryptocurrency which was here in December 2017 is at his ATH at present as the market is just 104B$ now and back then it was touching 800B$. The primary problem with most cryptocurrencies is that they all solve problems that don't yet exist. When a need to solve these hypothetical problems exists, then you may see a bull market resume in cryptocurrencies.

I think some altcoins can provide a lot of benefits besides Bitcoin, you might be able to see from XRP and ethereum and some other altcoins that can have the potential to benefit you.

Look mate, asking this question suggests you don't know the crypto sphere. You can make a 100x or more profit in a month. You can also lose 100x in a week. Depends on factors. Investing on ICOs made me a pile this year. So think about it https://ternion.io/?utm_source=bitcointalk&utm_newbie=bounty

Definitely, alts can be more profitable. From the current price, BTC goes to his ATH 5x. But for ADA, for example, it ATH more than 10 times. And I wait for a higher price for Cardano. Yes, I agree that it will not happen in this year. And at 2019 it will be very difficult. But alts has more opportunities to grow. It's a fact
Watch on the DACC as another example. Current price is 0.5x from ICO. If they will be listed on the big exchange I'm sure price will make 3-5 times.

Most good altcoins should outperform bitcoin once there is a strong bull run like late 2017 again. The problem is that the alts outperform bitcoin on the downside too so best to get out or take profits on alts  after a big bull run.

When bitcoin declines the price, most altcoins surely follows and we already seeing that every time there will be a price correction. Unfortunately, i believe that it was over a year now but we are still seeing slight recovery in the market. There are a lot of altcoins that have more potential giving you a higher return than bitcoin. You can check GO, ADA, TRON, TEZOS and IOTA.

It seems that the era of the superiority of Bitcoin over all other cryptocurrencies will end soon. But before that happens, we will suffer greatly.
do you believe if bitcoin will be destroyed? I myself still believe bitcoin will continue to survive, now things are really bad, but I'm sure the market will soon grow again. all of us who have crypto assets certainly believe in a market that will return soon.

I think all altcoins will bring more profit than bitcoin. If the bitcoin 10x in the bull period makes significant subcoins 100x. Remember.
for example, XEM fell from $ 2 to $ 0.1. but bitcoin fell from 19k to 3k only.
When the bitcoin is 50k dollars xem will be 5 dollars. did i know
xlm, ada, qsp, nano, wan, eth. they will make at least 50x.

As you said, if all the cryptocurrency price changes according to the bitcoin price movement then the fact is not there. Let's look at the market, almost all altcoins have experienced a drastic decline, ETH has dropped from the price of $ 1200 and now only valued at $ 97 and Ripple which has reached ATH $ 3 last year and is now valued at only $ 0.3 ... this indicates no there will be an altcoin that will exceed ATH last year.

If you do short trades you'll earn a few dollars depends on the amount of your investment. If you're lucky you can catch a pump and gain profit. This is the time of accumulating. Then just wait for the bull run. Your assets will double its value I'm sure of that. What I'm not sure is when the bull run starts.

In this market we have to look that which coin has a stronger project and which have a team of activity personalities and after that we have to look that among them which project coin is dump much then invest in that as that coin will again reach to it higher value.

It is only estimation of normal people that Bitcoin will reach to 5X as we think that it will reach to its previous ATH value while the expert speculate that Bitcoin will reach much higher than the previous year ATH price. So Bitcoin is also beneficial like other coins.

There are many coins with higher profits than Bitcoin, but Bitcoin is the safest coin. Although its profit is small, its fluctuations are relatively stable and will not cause you to lose a lot in an instant. Therefore, don't participate in other coin investments unless you have a better choice.

That is something that many do not seem to understand if a coin is more profitable than bitcoin that also means that the potential to get losses is also incredibly high and unless you have a superior level of skill when it comes to the markets than most of your competitors then you are going to find yourself losing money and not earning it as you thought.

It is obvious that during the last year there have been some projects that have been more profitable than holding bitcoin, the reason people hold bitcoin is not only for the profits that they can get, they hold bitcoin because it is the only coin that we know is going to survive for a very long time, even if you got great profits with another coin all of that would have been for nothing if you are still holding that coin when it crashes.

Profitability depends on the percentage of gain you can extract from a coin. So definitely there ate many coins which have been providing great returns during this week some of them were waves, Tron, Stratis.
But yeah it all happened because bitcoin gained over 800$ in the week and that gave the momentum to the altcoins too.

I think such a coin exists, but it is hard to find it. Such a coin may not have been born, and maybe it looks like a garbage now. But in the future, when Bitcoin takes off, it will become expensive and the profit will be higher than Bitcoin. But in fact, this represents a higher risk than Bitcoin.

Exponentially, no one has ever surpassed bitcoin and no signs of any other altcoin surpassing it is happening right now. Probably in the future, some could take over bitcoin but as of now, the bitcoin always dictates the trend. If bitcoin goes down, the altcoin goes down as well. And if the bitcoin goes up really hard, then every altcoin also goes up. The only coins that could actually surpass bitcoin in the future are Ethereum and XRP I think.

In fact, many projects have a multiple-fold rate, which is extraordinary because it can provide enormous benefits. Some projects also offer attractive investments, a price increase that significantly exceeds the increase in Bitcoin prices. But remember that most project tokens have a very high risk, in a calculation, maybe only 1 percent of projects will end successfully. When we want to invest in a project, we must be prepared to accept all the risks that occur. Choose according to our abilities and we will get satisfying results when we are right in choosing.

I think cryptocurrency is the result of bitcoin innovation, so it depends on whether you can see and search for what can bring profits despite the market decline.
it's true that bitcoin is very binding on the market, so its decline and growth will always affect all altcoins.

You need to forget about investing in new coins in this bear market, if you are very skilled there is the possibility that you could get profits with coins like that but the truth is very few have the talent to do that, it is better for you to invest only in coins that have been in the market for a long time and that have a very strong reputation among the community that way you will get some profits without risking too much.

This platform will have an arbitraging bot that will generate daily benefits and will be paid in ETH that you can instantly withdraw to your ERC20 wallet or you can reinvest in order to obtain more profits over time. It is also a good option to hold this coin as more and more investors will want to enter the trading bots and for this they will need to have to be holding EVOTs, in addition the unsold tokens will be burned, so it is very likely that its price will increase with time. Don't forget that the price of bitcoin goes a long way to determine the prices of altcoins as well. Thus a steady downtrend in Bitcoin also implies a a terrible price for altcoins as well.
That's why bitcoin is the main thing here for traders and next is Ethereum, though the volatility is very much higher and faster but it will never fail you if you do hold them as a long-term investments. Though you might be tired of waiting for the right time or the bull run to come but it is worth the wait.

There are many projects running underground and they already have investment funds for pumping tokens. We should invest in underground running projects to get future x3 and x4 profits.
Let's accept high risks to get rich faster instead of investing in BTC. An example is Banano.

If you look at the data, a lot of Altcoin are experiencing significant changes, right as you say that there are altcoins that have increased significantly. But the risk is quite large, Atlcoin usually has very fast fluctuations so that Altcoin can die and ultimately has no value. So for me, investing in Bitcoin is much safer than other coins. Especially for you beginners in the digital currency world, making Bitcoin as an investment can be used as a top choice.

Those are the only coins that I know of but if you are a keen observer you will know which token or coin will pump for short term.

No, i don't think so. All altcoins lost their value about %90. People who have altcoins have already lost a lot of money. The last bear market was a bad experience for all of us.

During this year, different coins have changed in price in different ways, but compared to Bitcoin, most of the TOP100 coins have fallen in price much more. Therefore, it is better to choose Bitcoin for keeping money during the bear market, but during the growth of the market it is better to keep altcoins, because they usually grow faster than Bitcoin.

Trading bitcoin has reaped its rewards. But then buying into profitable ICOs have been a sure banker for monstrous profits, if you backed a pretty good one. We are talking of x100 profit. That being said, ICOs can tank heavily with a blink of an eye. https://ternion.io/?utm_source=bitcointalk&utm_newbie=bounty

There are always more profitable coins than bitcoin but main question is that; is there any coin more trustable than bitcoin, you can invest to any altcoin which rises faster than btc but you can lose money faster don't forget this.

Yes, I'm sure there are some, but it is often the case in a downturn that the smaller the coin the harder it is hit... which also means that when markets turn bullish, the smaller coins often rise more than the larger ones.
Of course this isn't always the case as plenty of alts aren't worth holding... but it does mean that many alts (e.g. ETH) look underpriced vs BTC at the moment.

Every single altcoin is more profitable only on BULLISH market. BTC has higher capitalisation, so it is easier to pump another low cap coin. That's how I see it!

There's a truth on this but I don't think by this coming bull run, every single of them will also get into this ride. Some will do but there will be unknown coins bound to dry out.

BTC has higher capitalisation, so it is easier to pump another low cap coin. That's how I see it!
Those low cap coins are very prone to pump and dump.

For long-term no. Bitcoin is and will always be the best coin to hold for long term investment. For short term investment and if you are looking to earn some quick money, then alt coins are the way forward as the fluctuation even without the influence of bitcoin means that there is more opportunity to make some money quickly.

Bitcoin is really important part of crypto world because if there is no bitcoin  probably altcoins will not increase I think. There is one altcoins who are better than and more profitable than bitcoin and the one only our favorite which is ethereum. We know the only altcoins who are the next bitcoin. I think they still have coins that we need to discover that better than bitcoin and maybe they still creating.

If you are talking about the strategy and that doesn't work on this traditional market and then the speculators can manipulate the market and that makes your prediction becomes useless.
Any coin can generate a lot of profits for you but that depends on how bottom you can take to get in.

It is unlikely that there is something that could grow in price in 2018. After all this year was a terrible for all coins. Many altcoins have a connection with the price of bitcoin and so when it falls, they also begin to lose the price. Of course there are exceptions, but in most cases this is exactly what happens.

Yes of course despite of this situation you can still gain more profits than bitcoin check " here " (http://https//coinmarketcap.com). But only for long term i guess, because mostly nowadays has no stable progress  because of volatility of market.  Which is be careful choosing a coin , much better to make a technical analysis first to assure you can obtain more profits.
The last time I checked there's no altcoin which is more profitable than bitcoin when it comes to long term investment or trading and most crypto million make their huge profit through bitcoin. However, most of the altcoin are usually manipulated and long term investment is not good.
It is true that if you see the growth of bitcoin over the years then no coin is even close to it in terms of the profits you could get but the biggest growth is already in the past this is why people keep looking for altcoins to give them profits because they want to repeat the success the early adopters got with bitcoin but now that is very difficult to replicate with the market as it is.

If you are willing to take more risk, you can gain more than bitcoin. Altcoins are worth to invest if you are looking for a passive profit but it will increase the risk associated with your investment. That's why I think you should at least hold 50% btc in your portfolio.

Title: Re: Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin?

The short answer is yes, there are more profitable coins, but the downside is that they come with increased risk. It's fairly likely that some coin somewhere in the lower reaches in marketcap will go x100 before bitcoin goes even x2 from its current price.
The trick of course is in identifying these hidden gems. It needs knowledge, skill and also vast amounts of luck. It also needs to be something that few other people know about, which is why its unlikely that anyone will share their hidden gems until they've fully loaded up.

It seems to me that any promising project can have opportunities to give good results for a trader and an investor. If you do not take into account the high cost of Bitcoin, then when you buy another coin, we will still wait for the price to rise 10 or even more times. In addition, with the help of the price difference there are great opportunities for making money with the help of a large number of projects.

You can create a strategy out of them, you see on what coin has the most loss from that day and you can buy from that. But you need to check if that coin has enough volume to pump once again. This was the strategy of most scalp traders, they just follow the biggest losers because afterwards it will be the gainers after a day or two.

I don't think it has been around for 2018 because all growth markets are influenced by Bitcoin. Bitcoin is still a coin that has a very large selling value. And for Altcoin which is more profitable than Bitcoin, it doesn't exist yet. The crypto market has lost investor confidence because of its falling value. So that to give confidence to investors has difficulty.

I believe that the existing of the altcoin can help us to gain more bitcoin by trading and I think that there are many altcoins can give us a big profit in one year. Although the altcoin price will always follow bitcoin price, once the altcoin can rise, it means, we are making a profit in bitcoin in a large amount. And this will happen too with bitcoin, and if bitcoin price can increase higher, then it means, we can make a profit in fiat. But we cannot expect that it will happen in one or two years because it will depend on the situations at the market and of course the news will take place to make people panic of the negative news.

Take the lowest price ever of some coin, check the price of that coin in this moment and you will have clean
calculation how much profit would you earn if you bought in beginning and waited until now. You can try with
ATH prices too, from beginning until ATH.
Bitcoins is the most profitable, individually it depends in which moment you bought your coins and until when
you waited to sell.

There are a lot of altcoins that can bring more profit to you. BTC can only vary from 5-10% to be the highest. Because it is big altcoin and its value is not easy to jump.
Factom and BTC Diamond are altcoin that you should pay attention to because I find that its value is always fluctuating quite strongly and it is on the rise.

Digibyte for me before is good but it's a very underrated coin.

I didn't pursue my money of investing there instead I focus more bitcoin and few altcoins like Ethereum. Last 2017, bitcoin was the most profitable coin. If you invest early of 2017 where bitcoin is just around $1,000 and you held up to the end of the year, your gain was around $19,000.

Exactly, a lot of altcoin can be very profitable in a short time but profits always go hand in hand with risk, it can increase 10 times, it will also be reduced to 10 times, even more, so people often invest very little money in these altcoin, most people focus on bitcoin when it is considered as a stable investment and can bring profit in the long run. But unfortunately, the value of bitcoin also collapses like other altcoin, it no longer maintains stability and creates terrible damage, until now, investors are really disoriented and do not know what is the right and safe choice for them

ALl the legitimate cryptocurrencies are profitable, but the timing is important since pumping of each coins are few to happen,it depends on the demand and the trust this community might give so if you are looking for investments make sure you are ready for the shaking of the market

i cannot think of a certain altcoins that was able to match the success of bitcoin rather than ethereum, although just very recently, ethereum has also dragged down and not because of the decline of bitcoin but because of its own strategic ways and many sees that as liability thats why many crypto people jumped out of the ethereum and abandon it temporarily.

For me,theirs a lots of cryptocurrency that worth it as of this moment.Altcoins are  small amount of capital than bitcoin because in altcoin you can buy more alternative  coins, some coins goes down you must hold it and some coins goes up then sell it for a profit. In bitcion you must have big patience because the price was not in stable, especially now the price was in low.
In any case, we understand that it is Bitcoin that affects the entire cryptocurrency market and the pricing of all cryptocurrencies depends on Bitcoin. To date, the rise in Bitcoin prices is a big question and it is very difficult to determine the real prospects for the near future.

Yeah I agree that it's really difficult to determine, because of an unpredicatable changes of bitcoin price and currently the market movements wasn't showing fast rising trend yet. There were more profitable crypto coins that's also been affected due to btc downfall, but I still believe it will also recover in sooner time as btc pumps again.

When people consider investing money in any coin, they should consider the two option, risk and profit. If you are not willing to take risk, bitcoin will be the most profitable coin for you. But if you prefer to take risk, there are more profitable coin in the market. Just analysis with some good potential coin and invest in any if those and I ensure profit will be better than investing in bitcoin. The only problem is altcoin are risky to invest.

the problem is that bitcoin has become the benchmark price for all crypto below, so when bitcoin goes up and down it has a big impact on the coins below it. but this year it looks like bitcoin will experience a pretty good price increase

There is a dependence of the entire market on the dominance of Bitcoin, and so far, unfortunately, the entire movement is directly proportional to the recessions and raises of Bitcoin. But still there are a dozen alts for good investment.

Pretty much every alt becomes more profitable than Bitcoin during good days. Bitcoin's advantage is that it loses less value during bears, but then again, tethering up is a better idea for bear markets anyway.

Well xrp has been making noise lately especially when eth is having some challenges getting back up. Though i'd add trx if it's for short/mid holding or probably for the rest of 2019. It seems that alts ARE more profitable than btc at the moment.

Today there is practically no such coin that can compete with the leaders of the cryptocurrency market, not to mention Bitcoin. Now there is no point in comparing Bitcoin even with Ethereum. In short, if Bitcoin is used as a means of payment, it will definitely affect the entire cryptocurrency market, but so far in this regard there are no changes.

But for now, we all agree that bitcoin still leading the cryptocurrency and become the number one in the market because of the value and the benefits.

It seems to me that Bitcoin is still in trend due to the fact that many cryptocurrency users hope for a good price increase and that their investments will not only double, but multiply by 4. But we must understand that only real Bitcoin can increase its rating and value ..

If bitcoin price can't grow well then no other currency can give you a good profit! It can grow within a week or day! Bitcoin's price is now declined, but still, it is dominating the crypto market with 53% ratio.

But they are certainly more unstable and more risky. They are manipulated and can gain a lot of value in a short period of time, but lose their value very fast because of thoses manipulations.

Even investing in bitcoin can be very risky you just need to ask all of those that invested in bitcoin in December of 2017, so this is not only about in which coin you invest this is about the moment in which you do it which can make a huge difference in the profits you can make, so if you want to become an investor then you need to learn all you can so you can be more effective and do not lose money in the process.

If you take into account the Bitcoin capabilities that analysts are talking about, then the users who store, therefore, they do not have their portfolios, can achieve very much. It is possible that 1 satoshi can be equal to one cent, and this can happen when Bitcoin is used as a means of payment.

On my end, I've proven and tested it that there's no other coin that's more profitable to bitcoin. The past bull run (2017) there were comparison's that said there were other coins that's more profitable to bitcoin. But understanding the fact that it's all due to bitcoin's move why those coins gained that much, you can comprehend that bitcoin was the one who gave positive charts to those altcoins. If there will be an altcoin that's going to be profitable to bitcoin, it's just for short term.

Yes this year is turning out quite to opposite for bitcoin as to last year but there is no doubt that bitcoin is an established coin and can pump up again
true if seen from the highest crypto currency at this time the crypto currency is still the bitcoin as the highest coin, but all changes and possibilities can occur without being able to know with certainty the future growth later

The bubble burst and it has left a lot of people who started to think negative about bitcoin. But it is just starting to shape bitcoin and those type of people is what bitcoin doesn't need.
Bitcoin's still profitable and I don't think there will ever be an altcoin that's going to be more profitable than it.

More profitable than Bitcoin, there is no, because the simple fact that Bitcoin has a life of its own, the altcoins depend on the movements of Bitcoin ... You can choose some altcoin with good returns, in the finalization stage of accumulation, which can be profitable while bitcoin is stabilized or in an uptrend, if bitcoin suffers a fall, the altcoin will also suffer.

There are lots of crypto currencies on the market that are pretty good to invest, which of course has advantages and disadvantages, but it must be remembered also that Altcoin is created solely to complement their parent, Bitcoin, so the conclusion is crypto currency what's more profitable is Bitcoin, because all altcoin price controls are in Bitcoin.
I think a lot of things are more profitable than Bitcoin, in crypto trading. However, all are incidental, not permanent, meaning that today certain altcoins are priced well but at other times the price drops. Or vice versa.
I see Dash (DASH) and Ethereum (ETH) have good potential for investment other than bitcoin, especially long-term because developments in the market are very good.

I think that today it is very difficult to evaluate any projects that may be better than Bitcoin. At least the projections to which exist for this period, the growth of the price of a coin has not a single project, like forecasts, which Bitcoin has.

I think comparing the kinds will not be a good approach by the investor because Bitcoin is in the topmost cryptocurrency ever but it need huge investment to make your profit more higher but the other altcoins are not as huge valuable but profitable so it depends upon how you can invest and how much you can invest will made you to decide which is the best investment.

The best way to determine how promising a coin is and does not depend on bitcoin is to see how it will behave in a falling market. When bitcoin goes down, many coins follow it, it's true. But there are those who go against the market. At this point, I've noticed that Binance coin does exactly that. That's why I'm watching him now.

obviously the two types of altcoin that you mentioned have very good potential for the future, because both types of coins are able to be in the top ten in coinmarketcap and many investors believe in the growth of Ethereum and Dash. both for short and long-term trading, these two types of coins have very good potential in the future

Don't forget that the price of bitcoin goes a long way to determine the prices of altcoins as well. Thus a steady downtrend in Bitcoin also implies a a terrible price for altcoins as well.
indeed, currently bitcoin is still the best crypto currency and has very good value among other crypto currencies and it can be said that bitcoin is a guideline of the price and value of altcoins too but in the future everything can change and the possibility can occur

Yeah I admit that bitcoin is the top of cryptocurrency. but for which is more profitable, of course there are still many other crypto. You know there are a lot of altcoins that have much faster price movements than bitcoin and you certainly have seen the price of an altcoin can rise by thousands of percent in one night right?

you are right. I think all altcoins have the same potential if you use them well. even now, I don't use bitcoin, but altcoin. it can benefit me better now than using bitcoin. maybe because the altcoin is more than 1 coin.

Until now there are no Altcoins like Bitcoin. Actually, the coin that is expected like Bitcoin is Ethereum. But Ethereum also can't grow like Bitcoin. As long as the market has not happened Bullrun, we cannot find a good potential coin.

From my observations, it appears that a very large part of altcoins has dropped in percentage since the last ATH much more than Bitcoin. Logically thinking, with the upcoming price increases, jump from the bottom, for them, should be stronger and bigger than for BTC.

That's the reality, bitcoin is the coin that moves the market more compared to all coins combine.
During the last bull run, it was BTC who dictated the tempo and altcoins are rising, they even rise more than BTC did but they also fall hard during the correction. Monitoring the market is very important, but focus your attention much on BTC than altcoins so you can make a good prediction for the future.

You must try to check about how much profit that generated by any major coin and then just use this site to do that https://icostats.com/
Even bitcoin was holding the coin with the best ROI but so far another altcoin can do the same thing too.

There is no other crypto that is profitable and has performance like Bitcoin. Bitcoin is crypto which has a very good development. Moreover, the average crypto price is influenced by the price of bitcoin, so in my opinion bitcoin is more influential than other crypto. Until now there is no crypto that can compete with bitcoin, I am sure that in the future bitcoin will still be the best.

There are coins whose price has risen during the time that the price of Bitcoin has dropped several times. The projects did not stand still and continued to develop all this time, due to this they were able to attract investors and increase the capitalization of their coins. There are not many such coins, but they are there. For example, XYO for the year launched the product, and their coin increased its value about 4 times and this is just one example.

An analysis of this requires caution because Bitcoin is above any speculation with fiat. So there will never be more than 1 BTC for 1 BTC. Their only way to increase is to buy Altcoins which provide values in addition to of the BTC and fiat. When thinking about fiat profit, there are currently more profitable cryptocurrencies because you can hardly go 10x with BTC in the short term for example. So, with some Altcoins it's possible! LTC in the last 3 months was above 2x.

Seriously dude? It's the most expensive yes but a lot of coins are proving to be more profitable so far, trx and bnb are good examples. I guess you have to look at alts now if you're looking for quick profits because i doubt if btc will make another run like the one it did to end 2017.

Bitcoin has the highest marketcap in cryptospace so percent moves in it are almost always going to be smaller than other smaller marketcap coins. Despite tis, it is the safest crypto so great to hold some for long term.

In any case, you need to pay attention to the capitalization of a project, as well as to increase its number over a certain period. In any case, this is an indicator of the relevance of the project in society. Based on this information we can draw conclusions, What investments are best to do.

It will be difficult to find the right one among them. Yes, finding potential ones will provide good profit. However, more likely to lose, because it is hard even for those with enough experience.

There are coins who are on that position so i think trader should look for this kind of coin. Bitcoin is not moving high right now, so its good to look for an alternative especially if you are a trader. Always go for the trade that you can generate income as much as possible.
