A lot of people are worried.  I say worry not.   Eventualy the price will hit new highs beyond 20k, no question.   The real question is when, and nobody knows for sure.

Let the price fall, and fall it will, until people have given up.  Then, the price can start 5 wave moves up again.   This is how it always plays out.

I don't think 'believe' matters here. You can trust the technology and the process and support the goals and targets of this innovation.

That is easy for you to say but are you really not worried? The market is almost 90% down, do you want it to even go lower to 99% with your "Let the price fall, and fall it will, until people have given up"? Crypto could be dead if that ever happens.

Actually, you people are just worried about the price, all your talking are related to its price not bitcoin or even the technology itself. I wonder if there are still people who really support the technology, instead, they make the bitcoin as an investment means and source of income and don't even know how the purpose of the technology. Many well-known technical analysts are saying that Bitcoin will reach $ 20k by 2019, but many say Bitcoin will drop below $ 1000 in 2019. I do not believe in anyone. , I realize that these comments do not determine its tendency. I believe in what I see.

I agree with you.  People are obsessed with the price because they speculated or because they think the price validates the technology.  The technology will advance regardless of price.

People can't be blame if they dont want BITCOIN anymore as they bought at high price and been in misserable holdings until now.
Smart people will stay in this cryptocurrency as they know how to research and study before grabbing some coins.
Bitcoin may be falling now and still sliding but this will stop and will go high once again.

I agree, although a lot of people have dropped out, there are hopes and people who believe in bitcoin.

This is easier said than done. Remember that one key thing that often affects Bitcoin and Ethereum is social media that often lead to the wrong interpretation, which invariabley will lead price fluctuation.

You just cannot blame them. Bitcoin is known and reported as one profitable and rewarding investment and for underprivileged individuals, it can be an easy tool to ultimately escalate their way of living, nothing more. That's why they'll do anything just to own one. Thinking that somehow history [December 2017 bitcoin price] may repeat itself for a massive profit. I believe that bitcoin's price will recover again from it's shocking drop. It will recover again and it might be higher that before. We just nwed to wait.

The large drop in the price has caused a lot of damage to Bitcoin's reputation and investors will be less likely to jump in again, like they did in 2017. We have a long and hard road in front of us, but I am almost 100% sure that there will be a slow recovery and even some small spikes in the price.

As long we believe about bitcoin the value will really increase. One of the factor that can help us to return the price of bitcoin to its price is promote it and attract more potential investors so the demand will increase. And even we see the falling price of bitcoin it is not the reason to not believe in bitcoin.

Rightly or wrongly, I have seen many with tunnel vision when it comes to BTC.  It’s like blind faith really, I find that ‘hope’ is really what most people are hanging onto despite all the forecasts and graphs etc.  I too hope that BTC price recovers at some point but I also realise that indeed that thing called a ‘bubble’ by many others may have finally busted.  

The problem is not the price but the manipulation that happens, cryptocurrencies are supposed to be decentralized away from any manipulation.

Recently there have been a lot of manipulations such as the creation of lots of Hardforks and then manipulating them to achieve quick gain, adopting central platforms on stablecoins "those shitcoins as an alternative to exchange to dollars", control of trading bots, 1 MB problem,...etc

The fluctuation of the price for logical reasons is healthy growth and anything else happens just a manipulation.

Bitcoin has made this type of big decline 3 times. And after all of them, it again has rised quickly and greatly. So why don't we believe?

We are one in this belief. Let the price fall, but I will never move out my loyalty for bitcoin. I still believe in the great benefits it will bring us all, and I'm looking forward to the day it will completely transform the economic and financial aspects of each nation. Those who only see it as a way of getting rich are the ones mostly frustrated about its price. But try to look beyond it, and you will see what a precious gem it could be 10, 15, 20 years from now. With its current price now, there's no way it could goes anymore but up.

When I first got to know bitcoin, the price was even lower than now. So the current price is still good for me. And that's why I still have high hopes that bitcoin will last longer and of course, hopefully, the price will increase gradually.

Those who worried too much was not a smart investors. They just jump in and thinking that the price could multiply many folds, unfortunately, it didn't that's why they became so emotionally strain and just get out of the ecosystem because they're totally got burned by something they didn't understand.

I am a believer of bitcoin despite the deplorable price in the market now. Bitcoin will surely trend and rally back any moment from now. The indicators RSI is showing overbought and the bottom is close so the next move will be a reversal and the bulls will take over the market. There is good news coming from Japan, USA, and even China concerning ETF and projects conforming to the government requirements on cryptocurrency and crowdfunding. All these are pointing to a favorable move for the bitcoin in the near future.

The cryptocurrency market is always bouncing up and down like a ball. Was there ever a time when the lines on the charts are a straight horizontal lines? No. We should be more surprised when that happens. That means death to crypto already. That means there are no more traders who are interested enough to make something out of a market that rises and falls.

It seems that btc has been in this market dip for quite sometime which is currently below $4k again and again. I think that many desperate investors are now really in doubt whether btc can recover back to it's usual price at $6.5k in the previous months wherein there has no sign of any recovery. I think it's not just about believing but most likely it's how the people still trust during this market crush. In my opinion, though btc had suffered this huge dip, I am still hoping that it could still rise back fro it's fall and people  should not lose their hope and just have to wait for quite sometime.

Yes even I believe the same as the market will gear up and come harder this time, despite having a hard time for cryptocurrency we need to wait for few more months until it recovers.

The people you're referring are called panic sellers who'll dump bitcoins every time there's a fluctuations in the market, they're obsessed with the price rather than the technology behind it. I believe we have witnessed the exit of panic sellers, and from now will only see holders who understand the technology. I'm not sure if 20k is coming but with Bakkt and Nasdaq bitcoins futures launch, we shall witness large investment in bitcoins which may just trigger another rally.

Yeah, we are going down to 3k I can see that may be lower and the bear market winter will be really long. What I feel sad about is that the bear market rekt me totally so when bull run comes again I am afraid that I might have barely anything to hodl anymore and then not make anything in the bull run. I do hope I have some bitcoin b then. I do still believe in Bitcoin and hope one day that it will get better and more people will start believing in it again. For the betterment of the Bitcoin, we should believe and trust Bitcoin at first. We should buy more and hold it. Besides it, we should support Bitcoin at the low price to improve the price condition also.

Its easy to say that but the reality is many investors are worried right now with the recent plunge of the price of Bitcoin. Those who bought at $20,000 who are patiently waiting for another spike are now crying with what happened right now.

Price manipulation is one reason of this. Spreading news on the internet, creating hard forks etc. These are their ways to manipulate the price of cryptocurrencies. Anyway, I believe that it will have a slow recovery but I'm a bit worried too.

The technology behind bitcoin is superb and trust worthy, this has been my focal mindset while i choose to journey with the said bitcoin. Bitcoin price set aside, the technology will eradicate many obsolete or trash technology to give the masses what they all want.

When prices decline like this then we must provide support for Bitcoin, without support, prices will continue to decline. This can be said as a factor of demand, that is, as more people use Bitcoin it will have a positive impact on the development of Bitcoin in real terms. Never leave Bitcoin because that will only worsen the situation.

Personally, I think it should not only be Bitcoin but various other cryptocurrencies. Already through various news, it is confirmed that cryptocurrencies will be the future of the financial transaction system with blockchain technology. Price of bitcoin will go down until 2800-3000 USD. This is my estimate. Then it will stay at this price for 60 days - 1 year (2019-2020). Then it will start to go up to 400 000 - 600 000 USD. This will happen very probably in 2022-2023.

Well in terms of potential, i think a lot of coins can actually match btc since many have proper uses like eth and waves who serve their own platforms. But i don't think this price drop defines bitcoin at all. Yes this probably is the lowest drop since the time that btc got significant but there are a lot of factors to believe that btc will again go back up

Patience is the key, everyone who has some knowledge about crypto will know that the market always recovers bigger than before. Bitcoin will spike to 50k and then die again like it always does

I am also sure that the price will again rise back to $20 k levels or even above with time. We just need to be patient for now and not sell as it will push prices further down.

It is completely understandable for people to be worried, the investors are different with a different starting point and expectations. I completely understand some poor guy out there that invested when the price was 12k e.g. and wanted to make a better future for his kids and he held to the coins even when the price reached 20k and he is looking at this 3.5k now. And that poor guy puts the money from his kids college fund or something and now what? I am making up some semi realistic situation for you to understand that we are not all the same and that the situation can and is horrible for a lot of us. For me personally as well, even though my story doesn't involve kids or any fund. I don't believe that BTC will ever reach 20k again. We may expect some steady but slow rise and some 13k or even 15k max. The steady, calm market can be expected in summer, not before that.

Yes obviously we believe in bitcoin. Price Falls is always there in the market but this year it is going below $4000 which makes lot of people in panic condition and many people sell the coins due to the low price of BTC. But the market is going to be back very soon with great results just be calm and hold the coins to be benefited.

The point is a lot of new people will have to come in to make the price soar.  And I can't see that happening.  Too many people have lost money.  And why should new people come in to make money for others.  It's beginning to look more like a pyramid scheme to me.

It seems strange to me that people complain about the price falling down. Yes, the crypto market experiences a downtrend, but the price drop is normal for highly volatile crypto. I have no doubts that it will recover.

The falling price of the market is not the valid reason I think for us to get panic so easily. This is the problem of most community here in the forum where they never learn from the very start, isn't hard to understand that crypto and bitcoin are both volatile and the market  is also unpredictable. I understand the skepticism and I respect anyone who cashed out when the price dropped to 7k or 6k. But all of us that held until now and are considering to sell at this price are a bit crazy. If you kept your coins through the last couple of months and you are one step away of reverse, there is no place for discussion or any doubt. If it is easier for you, forget about everything and come back in 2 months to see the progress.

Not all the time we've been in patient and we also have our own decision to help keep on standing from being down. It sometimes we diversify our investment for the seek of not losing it. bitcoin is indeed a pretty good technology on the internet. even though the price is unstable, believe me, the prices currently are better compared to 2014. well, maybe because the current price is a little higher and of course there will be more developments.

Hey while it's difficult to predict where the prices will end, I believe bitcoins prices have fallen really low and it's a good time to accumulate them at every dips. I believe we should be seeing upswing in bitcoins prices in the quarter 1 of 2019, as the launch of Bakkt and Nasdaq Bitcoins futures is confirmed. Also if sec were to approve bitcoins etfs on 27th February 2019, we shall definitely witness a bull rally hence i feel it's good time to add bitcoins to your portfolio at current levels.

According to some technical analysis that I've got into, it shows that the market will continue to fall down to the lowest bottom before it recovers again and this kind of pattern already happened in the past and there is a chance that it might happen again this time according to those people who are good in TA. Looks like this kind of history paradigm happens and happen over and over again even in other kinds of trades not involve with Crypto Currencies.

I totally agree with you because it is because the speculative atmosphere of the crypto market is too strong and far exceeds the concern of the technology itself, which led to the collapse of the market. In a way, this is not because bankruptcy of crypto technology , but the overestimation of technology caused by blind investment, and this overestimation is used by whales, creating a huge bubble at the end of 2017.

We cannot blame other people if they are worried because we have different mindset and they invest money in BTC,and I agree that there is a price increase soon but we cannot predict when it will happen the important here is don't stop believing on the potential of this new technology and be positive always.

The recent activity is just temporary occurence in the Bitcoin, it will rebound back as the price value is a bit stable at the level of 3300 to 3400. this maybe the new resistance level as posted in the market. You can believe or not it is all up to you, because we can't really know about it. I don't think that so many people did believe that the price would come to $3000 lines from $19500 in just one year. That was surprise right and lots of people lost big ammounts of money. I believe in BTC too ofcourse but i wouldn't hodl it with all my investment. We have to spread our risks because we would never know what will happen in next day or in next hour.

As a trader, im also can't stop myself buying those altcoins at a double digit percentage price dump because that will surely turn out to be a profit after 5 to 7 days, depending on how the buyers react. I really do not see why the price should change anything when it comes to having a positive attitude towards bitcoin, even if the price is low compared to the all time high the crash that we saw was caused by the massive bubble that speculators and late comers created, bitcoin as a currency has not changed and it is still the best coin in the market, all of those variations in the price make people worried but those movements have no effect on bitcoin.

So people need to learn to see something besides the price, even if the only reason they are here is for the money they need to look at more than that if they really want to get the most out of this market.

Of course I don't feel worried about bitcoin, because bitcoin is more likely to survive and will return to jump high. Even though the condition of bitcoin is deteriorating though, but I believe bitcoin will be able to recover its price again.

I also prefer to believe that it is only a matter of time before the bitcoin price is restored to its previous value. And while there is no reason to doubt that prices will not rise again.

Of course I continue to believe in price recovery. This is not the first drop in prices, so this time should not be an exception. We must now observe the dynamics of bitcoin development and believe in it.

The reason why we are continuing to believe to bitcoin even its price falls is because it is now proven that bitcoin has potential to regain its normal price. We should not overthink for us to continue to hold and not to sell our bitcoins.

It's a game of who will not give up and a firm believer, this is how whales made a lot of profit, they are buying lows and selling high, last week Bitcoin was trading at $3400 and look it is now over 4000 that's a big leap and profit from those who bought at $3400 level.

I feel much disappointed due to price fall as most of my funds are invested in crypto but i consider this as a no give away amount withdrawing the money even price falls down because it is expcted most of the year end. Hope coming years will have more traffic.

Price falls when people are scared of the bloods but many do understand right now if that's the situation, it's the time of getting more of it. While many are scared of it, this is what most like to happen so they can have it at the cheapest amount. We've seem a lot of panic selling all throughout this bear market and i think many have already chosen to take the loss and be rid of their coins and start over. Yeah I was quite amaze that even in the biggest fluctuate there is still hope that bitcoin market price go up high again. This is what investors would want to happen but it seems that the market is really being controlled by a team or a mafia. They had let BTC fall down so that when the baseline of the BTC market price determine they can actually invest so let us just say that they are holding huge BTC now at the bottom line of all the investors money investing in BTC. Quite amazing how they earn money so easily.
