Most of the Altcoins have lost their major part of the value due to selling and the trend is continue perhaps it  is since long for over 10to 11 months . I personally feel that it is a very long period and the market is oversold now and there are chances of recovery in the days to come . Do you agree?

I think a lot of altcoins already reached rock bottom, especially the low marketcap coins, because there are so few sellers now and many buyers. I think high marketcap coins could fall slightly further but that overall the market is oversold and will bounce soon. But just because the market is oversold doesn't mean it will change quickly, sometimes it can remain so for months on end.

I hope so. This happened because the investors are leaving the cryptocurrency market. Partially, too rumoses and effect of SEC are harming cryptocurrency world. The recovery is definitely occur but in which level and how long. It's not easy to say.

First of all, since most of the altcoins follow bitcoin, the question could be translated into "Is the bitcoin market oversold?"

The problem is how to quantify an oversold market? Will you use RSI, or any other indicator?

I wouldn't t put much trust into RSI, but indeed it give us an indication of an oversold market.

Nope, in my experience dropping the price is much faster than rising it again. It would take some time in order to make the cryptocurrency be at bull again a good example is if a country that has a high volume of users legals the use of the cryptocurrency.

From this point a lot of users will going to buy bitcoins to meet their daily needs. Just think about that?

Nobody can predict how the market will develop over the next few weeks.
I do not expect that the prices will recover.

I'm agree, but very few projects will alive after this huge downtrend, some of them already spend their funds. I bet it will be a BTC, ETH, XRP and a couple more altcoins from +100 top of CMC, like Vite, Mainframe, NEX

no because there are still a lot of altcoins that are over-valued.

in a way you can still see traces of bubbles in many of the top altcoins and that means there still some dumps left to happen and price can continue going lower at least another 30 to 50% more.

in terms of recovery, I agree that it only takes a very long time because they all experience a very drastic decline, for the future all of us expect the best from all the altcoins that already exist in the market.

Yes, the market is over sold. The large whales have already accumulated a larger number of cryptos and are getting ready to push it and dump when novice investors starts jumping in the bulllish train. If anyone to make a profit from crypto, they should copy whales.

There's nothing as being oversold until there are people available to sell for a lower price. Though the real investors have started accumulating coins in a large volume which is both a good news for patient hodlers and a bad news for overall crypto adoption and future.

it is never easy to say. for all the past 12 months we have had some people who were speculating that the price at that time was the last of the dumps and the bottom. (they even called it oversold back then too)!
but each time we see the dump continue.

so all i can be sure about is that there is no pump coming yet and until i see the pumps i wouldn't start going in any altcoin.

If it was any other time fo the year i think we would see a recovery, but it is Christmas no-one has any spare money so the market is going to stay this way until January. I doubt it will drop much further but people need money for gifts

Yes, most of them might have fallen, there i have seen quite a number of good altcoins that are still soaring high despite the dip. An example of such is XYO. That not withstanding, the time of recovery is imminent.

Nope I think there's no time to bounce back again until the regulators give green light to regulate cryptocurrency world. Before that we will face a bearish market, just hold or cut lose your investment

I don't think there is any pump is coming in next few days or weeks. Maybe we will have to wait till next year to see whole crypto market rise back again. Although I know that we have been in this time for months but we can't do anything else but waiting.

No, I do not agree with you, in my opinion, we are now in the accumulation stage, which will last about 1 year of flat.

The fall of so many coins have reached their threshold, except for the newly listed ones. Even some newly listed coins have also dumped. Well, whenever something of this nature is happening and it is so intense, there is every likelihood for the market yo recover any time soon.

I agree with OP, the market seems to be oversold. Solid coins such as ETH, Neo and etc have fell to at least more than 10 times more than ATH. When market recover, rebounce is highly likely.

I don't think we have seen the bottom yet.
It is actually looking like we are going to go lower, like btc going down to $2500 or so.
There have only been very small rises in value but overall steady decline with the crashes.

A lot of people were hoping for an end of the year bull run, and now that the market crashed even more, people have lost hope.
Now everyone is hodling for dear life, can't expect new money to come in.

We will most likely see a stabalization in jan. and a prolonged bearish market throughout most of 2020.

I don't expect things to really pick up until late 2020.

Most shitcoins I think were not totally destroyed yet. It will take months before it will show signs of support getting stronger. Its not going to bounce back as quick as possible, that would be giving away money from the hands of those who wanna pump the market. This bear market will keep testing the weak hands over and over for probably more than 2 years again.

Not in the long run, it seems to me that most altcoins will never recover. They have lost not only their value, but also their trust in crypto, especially altcoins.
Even the top 10 altcoins that I had hoped for most were not really satisfactory.

I think so too. The prices will bounce back as soon as the market becomes stable. The recent spike had brought most altcoin in it's ATH and the dump that is happening right now is a major market correction. Most whales must be taking out their profit and waiting for the market price of crypto to reach the floor before buying back.

If it's not already the bottom, where it is then? I'm not saying that all the altcoins will go up from their today's value, but dozens of them will surely do. You see, the fact is that people weren't abandoning crytpo this year. On the contrary, the adoption of crypto currencies has risen two times during 2018 and the effect should come out sooner or later. If it weren't whales selling their coins by dozens of thousands per day we would already witness the rising. Yes I agree,down thrend this year is very long. Fud and other factors resulted in no movement improved. Everyone will certainly hope all ends quickly but we can't do too much. Think of it as natural selection and will be leaving the best people.

Some coins cannot be oversold as they're such trash they shouldn't have value in the first place. LTC and IOTA come to mind.
But the rest of the top 20 are pretty oversold IMO. We'll see a reversal at some point

Key indicators suggest the market is over sold there is no doubt about that but a recovery isn't likely to happen over night as lots of confidence in cryptocurrencies has been lost and it will take some time to restore it as more reliable investment products become available

the market rose up quickly I think not. that just happened is a small pump that can deliver results but can also trap. about bull run or rise to the recovery as a whole I don't think it will be realized quickly in the conditions like today. so don't be easy for interested in green for a moment.

Many of the cryptocurrencies and tokens are already oversold but it doesn't mean their price will going up soon because itis still up to the investors and current market demands. Some well known coins like ripple, xlm and dash can go up even bitcoin ig going down so it is not to focus your investment on single but also on the other coins also. Bitcoin can also go up along with that coins but for short uptrend.

First of all, I don't think this logic is correct. Not all oversold will lead to a rebound. This is related to market trends. If the cryptocurrency market bull market, then this is the truth. But if the cryptocurrency is a bear market, this may make you lose a lot.

If you have observed in the past, how a market usually react after a heavy dump then probably you will agree that a bounce back will happen in near future. That is the right, a price rise is always related to market trend but when prices are lower, more people will come into buying that is the only reason we are all expecting for a bounce back right now. All of the cryptocurrency markets are into oversold zone so bouncing back may happen at any time, be preferred.

It may help to find out the right dev teams among many reputed coins too. But, this alone will not be a criteria for your future of a coin as it is always dangerous if you go for investing a one coin without proper analysis. I would agree that the market is currently oversold, but as yet I am not convinced that the bounceback is going to happen immediately. Everything about this dip has been drawn out and I think the same will be true for the start of the recovery, I think most likely late on into Quarter 1 of 2019.

Bitcoin falling over 80% from its 2017 highs and most major altcoins dropping 90% or more, my personal opinion is agree with your point and I think most of the cryptoccurency are currently oversold from a fundamental standpoint. Never forget that the market is irrational, the price of 20000 dollars for each bitcoin was not deserved but a price below 4000 dollars was not deserved either, so while I think a recovery is inevitable that doesn't really mean that is imminent, the recovery could happen tomorrow or in two years and independently of when that happens you still need to hold your coins and if possible you should increase your stash.

I believe that will happen because looking at the development history of the crypto market we see that before 2017 the price of crypto is really low only until near the end of 2017 their prices are just awake. IMO, the crypto market seems to be oversold atm. Many altcoins fell to 5% to 10% of their ATH prices. This is saddening but also a good opportunity for all of us.

Yes i agree that market will bounce back soon, i think this is the reason why market was oversold because of this predictions and believed that bouncing back is coming to soon and also for the belief that crypto is for the future.

Well based on my own opinion and technical analysis bitcoin is still in the bearish stage we saw a little increased in the past few days above $4000 but right now the action of bitcoin is in the downtrend.
