Just as always, no one knows. No one knows when the prices will rise, and no one knows when the bear market will end. There's no guarantee into knowing if bitcoin's going to recover next year. Who knows? We might have a multi-year bear market. It happened in the past, and it's not impossible to happen again.

Unknown factor.... bitcoin WILL survive but nobody knows id it will "recover". Although i think "recover" is not the right word here since there is nothing to recover. BTC is still doing strong.

with bitcoin there is only so much down you can go before you have no other option as to reverse back up and rise. and we have been at that point for reversal for a while now.
it is only a matter of time and some more accumulation before the rise begins. it can start at any time too but if we see some sort of ignition then it can shoot up suddenly.

No one can answer that question, it's like asking "Will I get rich when I get older?". We can speculate, analyze or make a research but no one will know on what will be going to happen in the next months or years. 2017 was a great year for cryptocurrencies while 2018 was not because of regulatory issues and more but we can't expect 2019 that it will be another great year as this year was not, we can still experience huge drop but there still a chance for a bullish market because it happened a lot of times before. But you can only find the answer as the year 2019 comes.

We have to many market speculations and manipiulation right now.
Also, still is unclear if sEC will accept futures connected with bitcoin, regulations etc.

In principle, one cannot say that Bitcoin is being restored, since it cannot be said for sure what its price should be at least approximately. Therefore, it is possible that the 3500 is its normal price. I do not assert, but only express some thoughts. I hope that the real price of Bitcoin at least 20K ;D ;)

No one can tell when it will return to its previous  price,so we need to be prepared always what's the outcome in 2019 if the price is still declining we need to accept that and move forward make another ways to get a income because declining of token prices is not a hindrance to earn.

The hype of crypto currencies has ended in 2017, so Bitcoin price slowly declined during 2018. It is needed to wait for May 2020. Perhaps the halving of mining rewards will have a positive impact on the BTC price. I suppose Bitcoin can grow to $10K, but I doubt that BTC will reach $20K in 2019.

We do not know if this coming 2019 the price of bitcoin will recover or even the market will be fully recover. No one knows for sure what will happen in 2019 at the price of bitcoin, because sometimes market movements are very far from what we want and can give us a surprise when we never expect it. But I see a few days now the market is starting to increase slowly, although sometimes a decline occurs but it is still dominated by increases.

My guess everything will be better this year. If we have another year like 2018 there won't be anything left by the way so i believe and i hope for a way better year.

I think that in 2019 bitcoin will not recover as in 2017, but at least in 2019 it will recover better than this year. I believe bitcoin still has hope and will be able to make a leap.

Bitcoin would not die even all the struggles this year 2018. Bitcoin has been there since 2009 and it did not go to zero value unlike altcoins that joined the hype of blockchain. Bitcoin will recover slowly and better buy once it is still cheap.

Totally a speculative point, it is impossible to predict if it's gonna jump or not and if it is going to jump then how much. Chances are there I would say, but people are dumping whenever there is a slight bullish movement on the greater side. So, bullish movement like 2017 would be tough and I think it is impractical as well.

A year is a very long time for Bitcoin and it's very hard to say anything. People who understand what Bitcoin means for the world finances will always be bullish. There will not only be a recovery but an ATH. I'm not sure if we will reach it in 2019 because it will depend on all the external factors like Bakkt and ETF but 10000 dollars is within reach if we go back into a bull market. We should be at 5000 already if people weren't in panic mode.

For some reason it seems to me that 2019 will be a year of a calm market. Bitcoin will finally gropes the bottom in the region of $ 2,000, then rebounds sharply. thats not completely true, the first part of 2018 was still very decent with extended rallies of different tokens and assets.
We have to have big chnage in marke tin order to see real change, governments should start to make regulations and then we can start to strive again.

2019 is full of positive events and it really causes positive thoughts about the market recovery. However, there are opinions that growth will be possible only in a few years. I believe that the end of 2019 may be the same as 2017.

Yes, at some point early this year when most cryptos were at their ATH the market cap got to over $800billion. But today, it is barely over $100billion. We are still in a long bearish trend since almost an entire year. As market's trends are cyclical, the history says that bulls will come back sooner or later, but nobody knows if this will happen in 2019.

Its true that 2017 is much better than 2018. Bitcoin price drop more than 80% in 2018. I am believe 2019 will be a good year for bitcoin and cryptomarket because from what i am read, it will traded in Nasdaq and BAKKT

do you know the saying " history repeat itself " ?  if ever that happens , well there are two instances . the price can still become dump just like what happened this year or the price can pump just like it did on the year 2017  .   

however , i heard recently about bakkt thingy where it can greatly influence the value of bitcoin .  as well etf/sec approvals  .  so with said ,  i think there is a huge chance that the market will boom on 2019  .

Totally impossible to say about bitcoin future! but I think bitcoin will can do rising up it's value again! it's between possible and impossible both!

Guessing on 2019 is going to be very difficult. But if the Bitcoin price isn’t going to up to 8k or 10k in the next 6 months.  And the crypto world isn’t going to see a new cash inflow. Then we will see a series of lay off in the crypto world, and old ICO selling even more ETH and other crypto holdings.

You are right mate we heard a good year in 2017 with lot of profit .2018 bear market was also fantastic if you continue to trade on a short position you would have accumulated much profit.one thing is sure a trader don't really care about whether is bull or bear run but care about profit. As for 2019 is going to be a tremendous year for crypto to experience upward trend movement, many whales have accumulated much from the dip , just know when to sell a long side with the whales that is what is important.

It may look terrible to many specially those who bought when BTC hit $18,000 USD last December 2017 but to others, there's a lot of opportunities this 2018 that helped them earn more coins. The market in 2019 is hard to predict. Any expert can't be convinced. The only thing we can know is that crypto's performance in 2019 may be improved. I mean, compared to the 2018 market, 2019 will be more better. But this is only better than 2018, it does not mean bull market. If I have to wait for the bull market, I think it will be after 2020.

If we will follow the same path we had during the cycle in 2013-2014, then we may have still another year af flat prices around the current bottom before the price would take off again. A time needed by many for accumulation. But, of course, future is unpredictable. So anything may happen.

I also do the same.Despite of all the negative events this year,i'm still hopeful that in 2019 we will make good returns already out from those coins we bought during dump days.We know already how volatile bitcoin is so we cannot expect bitcoin to be always at its lows,surely its price will soon to boom again.

There is no assurance if the year 2019 will going to full recovery but I hope it will be better than this year. The present year is has been dubbed by some well known crypto analysts as "correction year" or "year of the bear" because of almost a year of declining prices. It seems to be quite normal when you think about it logically. 2017 was a booming year, and these periods are often followed by a period of bust. 2018 was that year when pretty much everything was down except for tether. 2019 will probably be something in the middle i.e. slow trend upwards

Yes 2017 bitcoin made a lot of surprise things and get a lot of attention, then 2018 comes the huge correction that made a lot of frustration for the investors, and there are rumors that said the market is full of manipulation, in 2019 there are bunch of great news, but until now there are still no positive sign that we are going to have a bull run, I think we still going to feel the effect of the correction, I don't think this year we wont see hype like in 2017

I had a not-so-good story in 2018. That was a rather sad story for the entire year. It was not really a big deal, though. On the overall, there is nothing to worry really. I have had a good story about my Bitcoin experiences since the day I hopped in. I always had a good feeling every time my year ends. It was only in 2018 that its end was not the kind that I wanted. It's really hard to tell but from at this point, we just have to wait what is going to happen. Welcome to 2019 now. To be honest, I dare not to say it will recover on 2019, but what's for sure is it will be different in 2019. Because I find that many people who work in the industry believe in 2019 the market will make some essential progress. Which is, investors and developers will aim at technology but not only price, technology is more valuable than price.

Every cryptonians believe in bitcoin capacity to recover but the only question is when,and that you called SOON seems to be so long,better not to expect earlier but instead extend the patient and continue trusting this number 1 cryptocurrency

No one knows when and all we have to do is wait because for sure there is a recovery though it will take long. Still we do not have to let go the chance of investing now that it is low because even the market do not bull when the price increase from the time it invested, you can gain from it. There is no impossible as long as it exists and being use.

which makes the condition of cryptocurrency prices in 2017 has a very high price and can soar probably because there is good news that makes a lot of people want to buy it, but now it seems that a lot of bad news is circulating and makes the price of other bitcoin and cryptocurrency fall.

I can say that it will recover this year. Another user can say that it will not and will continue to go down. Anybody can speculate with what can happen to Bitcoin but there is no certainties that it will happen.

For me, I think it will recover a bit this year but I don't see that it will reach its highest price at $20000 unless the buyers will take over for a long time against the sellers.

My hope is that in 2019 Bitcoin will recover and the price will rise again above the highest price at the end of 2017. 2018 is a long wait for all of us, where from time to time the price of bitcoin tends to experience a sharp decline. but I see that bitcoin still has great strength and there are still many people who are hoping for bitcoin. For that I am sure that by 2019 this will be a year of joy for all of us and bitcoin will definitely be able to give us happiness at high prices this year.

Hopefully Bitcoin will recover. hopefully in 2019 bitcoin will achieve the highest price again. not only bitcoin, but the crypto market including the altcoin price will also recover. the market has been declining for quite a long time until now.

I'll agree we all have to be positive that this shall be the year we see improvements in bitcoins prices, I'm hoping mass adoption is one the key reason we see prices increase. Also it's pertinent to note many traders are accepting cryptos as payments, and some countries are even accepting it as part of their tax payments. I'm not sure if we'll see 20k again, but I do hope we can touch at least 10k levels soon.

The recovery of bitcoin would not happen all of a sudden as many people are anticipating and not that i don't want to see Bitcoin rise but with this massive decline in the value of bitcoin it is going to take quite a longer time to reach a new time high. But it would definitely rise with time so let's be patient and keep buying at this dip.

Since the fall of Bitcoin (and all crypto currencies) was long, I assume that the recovery will also be long. I don't expect that in 2019 all currencies will restore their previous maximum prices. But I'm confident that in 2019 a positive movement will begin towards the recovery of the market and prices. And now I see 2020 as a more real year, for a full recovery of prices and subsequent growth to new heights.

Exactly.Patience is still the best virtue after all.I know there will be more positive things to happen in this year 2019 and this will really give a great impact to the market making it rises slowly.We cannot expect that the recovery process will just happen immediately.Of course it might take more months before we can conclude that the market is really in a good condition right now.

I think 2019 may be the same as 2017 because a lot of positive developments are expected. I want to believe that it will be successful, but we must also be prepared for the fact that nothing will happen. Full recovery may take longer.

Bitcoin cant be forever head in lower lows im sure that the bears will get exhausted and the bitcoin price will hit capitulation when that time comes the crypto market should see a nice surge and possible comeback. Because 2017 the price was oversold it needed a correction and that's what happened in 2018. This year we should see some fireworks.

Surely prices will rise, but it certainly depends on a number of things. if the market is not supported by interesting news or issues, of course demand will not rise high and prices will not recover, we need pumping demand, something like make people insterest to buy bitcoin, so that the market returns to crowded and 2019 will make bitcoin price recover

but the question is that how can we attract investors if there is no interesting news about cryptos ?  the price will only remain stable or it can decrease more  .


yes that is also what im expecting and i think almost all of us are assuming for that to happen  . yet there is also a chance that are expectations can failed us  .  most importantly , full recovery can take a lot of time because the current price of cryptos these days are totally damage  .

I am not really sure about this year. Although many people say that this year we will all be happy, but so far I have not seen any positive signs on the market. So I am still waiting for when that light will come or maybe it will even stay as dim as last year.

The recovery of the market might depend on some factors like the anticipated launch of bakkt and the positive view on the investors' sentiments. The market need some positive developments related to cryptocurrencies to boost prices this year and avoid another major price decline. I hope there will be more price uptrends this than decline and more positive news for the full recovery.

I think that 2019 will be a favorable year for BTC , even if it will not increase at it's value  from 2017 but at least it will recover at its normal value because as the current price, the market doesn't go in a profitable direction.I really hope that in 2019 things will get better.

Actually the spread of bitcoin occurs from many things. positive news will bring mass adoption, but without the news though the spread and adoption still occur, even with a small amount. but to make high demand needs a lot of things to support it right? hope something big will come

I am not optimistic about btc price in 2019., definitely we won't see old good 20K. But John McAfee is very positive about it, so let's hope he is right, the guy is more than enthusiastic by predicting btc price around $1 million by 2020.

yeah 2017 year was the last time for trader lovely smile. but 2018 year i think that, all bitcoin holder feeling tension and long time wait for good situation. as a result was not good. actually we are don't know bear market future prediction. what can to do rise or fall down. just we are hoped that, 2019 year long time after bear market eth, btc, can do growth. so if come any chances must we can do recover our capital and earn some profit is possible.

No, it's not like that. Recovery would take time to process and it will be another tough year for us, I'm expecting a slow movement for the first half but we just can't be sure of where it can potentially land.

In 2017 I saw bitcoin increase far more than I imagined, and 2018 I saw it decline far more than I imagined. The next bull ride will probably be the same. Unimaginable ATH, rinse and repeat.

This is the bottom. Too many people are on the sidelines cashed out, waiting for that 2500 price that will never come. They only sold because they think it will go lower. They will eventually FOMO back in, and the ride from 5,000 to 10,000 will come quick. I think bitcoin can recover in 2019. If SEC approve bitcoin ETF trade and BAKKT start launch, it will be a good start for bitcoin to recover. There was a time same like this a few years back, people are sating that bitcoin along with the other cryptocurrencies are gonna end, but it looks like cryptocurrency just took time for its peek, then at the year 2017 most if not all cryptocurrency went flying, and I’ve read people who said bitcoin is dead went rushing and getting their hands on bitcoin even if its price are very high, so I believe that bitcoin will survive and once again be the talk of the year.

I am afraid that analogies with past years may end badly. The fact that BTC repeated its development path every year does not mean that it will happen again. Maybe it will happen. But what if not? What if BTC does not regain the previous maximum for this year? I see several ways of development of  BTC and the crypto world. But I hope that the market will return.

Actually there is no guarantee that recover will occur after the year ends, or in other words yesterday was bearish, then the following year bullish, not necessarily like that. price changes depend on the condition of that year, and hope there are many positive things this year

It will happen this year, the recovery is on its way, the price is stabilized right now, however no one knows for how long this will stay this way, but I am pretty sure that it will recover, if it ain't January then it is Febraury for sure, let's just hope for now that it does not go down anymore.

It is hard to predict the perfect time the market recovers, but there will be some movements and rallies in a couple of years, if you take a look at the worst slides in the price, it usually takes a couple of years to recover and that is expected this time too, but i am hoping for a rally when the halving happens and if you look again at the history of bull runs, these happened after halving and i do expect another all time high one year after the next halving.

Let's not get carried away here. I don't think it will be worth 20k+ and I don't think it will go down to 2k. Look at how flat BTC was between the last two peaks. Could be a while before we get any "exciting" highs/lows.

We can hope bitcoin will recover in 2019 but we need to be careful because of the bear market still happen, and we cannot deny that bitcoin is getting hard to increase. But I see bitcoin still have a chance to increase, and even the chance will become bigger as the new investor will come to bitcoin and the time will come for bitcoin to break the higher price. I think we can wait for what will happen in the next month and if the situations can get better, then it means, bitcoin can go to the higher price.

only time can answer this question. no one can predict exactly what the crypto market will look like in the future. all we can do is predict and it can be wrong or true. cryptocurrency is decentralized so it actually runs itself without anyone controlling. so we must always be ready for market changes. always optimistic not easy to give up is the key to successful investment in the crypto market.

Every year there will be different movements and we must be able to adjust, besides that we must learn more about market developments. Crypto explosion in 2017 has had a good impact, but in the 2018 period it must struggle to survive and this year it is still being tested with low conditions.

I think it's going to be hard to flip the favor back on our sides again. The SEC still see bitcoin and altcoin a way to make criminal activities and it's very hard to regulate. So I really don't know if XRP is the only who can save us from this deep hole because it's centralized.

In term of price who knows what can happen, I expect calm year. It would be great to see 5 digits again, in crypto things happens fast, who knows what can happen and in days one single event can push the price very high. Earlier today I saw some post about how many people use internet, more than 50% of population, that`s more than 3,3 billion people, crypto use just 0.5%, imagine that future when we touch 1% and later 5% and 10%. Think about future, maybe that future can come this year, things on internet have ability to spread fast, but if not this year in next for sure.
