What is the next prediction about the market at the beginning of next year?

I think this is all a result of the increasing number of good news about crypto, in my country crypto has officially become an asset that can be owned by everyone, and I think many countries have considered crypto an asset

A "slight increase" doesn't prove that a bull trend will come.The Bitcoin price just stabilized around 3500 USD.It might go up,but it might crash to 2000 USD or even 1500 USD.Next month everyone is going to expect the Bakkt launch or the SEC decision,but the major bull trend won't come soon.

I think a good news is coming for us. For the crypto currency lovers, 2019 will be a very helpful year. Market is starting to recover now. Hopefully it will continue day by day. But still has a chance to buy with low price.

Hopefully it will continue to rise because as long as 2018 the market is really always going down it makes many people no longer believe in crypto. Hopefully 2019 will come new investors and make prices continue to rise

Its really nice that bitcoin is improving a bit , there are different predictions regarding bitcoin is hopefully rising next year. Maybe bitcoin is showing some positive result but let see if it continues never expect until it finally happens. Lets just be patient.

We have a lot market manipulation and speculation in the market, and many false news.
We need some positive, great news in order that trend can change and BTC price go up again.

That would be great, but the thing with steady growth is that we'll be seeing much lower volumes in general, and lower volumes mostly tend to result in a fragile market which eventually leads to lower prices.

We have seen that happen before already and it wouldn't really be helpful in the short term in the current market. We have to accept that most people here are chasing volatility and profits, and that it won't change any time soon.

Some times you really try to use it as money, but it doesn't really work well if you have the price working against you. Money should be spent without a second thought, which Bitcoin or any other crypto currency can't provide.

A lot of prediction will appear after the end of 2019 or the begin of 2019 and mostly I think it is most positive think compared this year most of them are negative so that's why the price of the cryptocurrency will rise or up again because investor are wait to start 2019 so they can buy again.

The condition of the crypto market seems to be stable but I dont think that implies the market to be in a good condition now because we currently in holiday time which I believe was the reason why the market is stable cause the market dumper have dumped the coins they needed to pay for their holiday merriment.
What I'm trying to say is that we have to wait till next year before we can decide the market condition.

With the help of technical analysis many people have discovered that market has already hit the bottom hence we never need to worry about further down fall below $3200 levels. Even bitcoin got any negative news to break that levels it will never hold below that price levels like it will bounce back sharply from any break of $3200 levels. That is the reason we have recent rally up to $4050 levels and today also bitcoin market is trading positive. Hopefully they will finish of this year positively.

Beginning of the year 2019 will be having sustaining price levels like it will be trading at around $4000 to $5000 levels but we can expect to have $6500 (previous strongest support level) levels within the first quarter of 2019.

I also think as you think, chances are that in 2019 bitcoin will be more stable and will recover gradually, and I think by 2019 bitcoin will be able to recover up to 7k.

There are predictions for growth and there are predictions that the bottom was not reached yet. Lately everybody predicts something about Bitcoin.
You know that we cannot know the future and anything can happen. Of course most of us simply hope for the best; for some "best" is a new ATH "tomorrow", for some "best" is to stop falling, maybe start growing a little.


Personal opinion: since there are entities that buy 1000s after 1000s of Bitcoin, I'd say that people that know finances better than me are expecting Bitcoin rise sooner or later. Technologically Bitcoin is developing nicely too. But if you are in doubt or you don't really have money you could risk investing into Bitcoin, simply don't.

Price of Bitcoin will mainly stay between $2000 and $8000 in 2019. It will go up and down through whole year. Lets hope it will end 2019 at higher price as it is right now.

I think there will be better results in 2019, and in 2019 it will be a year of recovery. And I believe the bull market will be seen in 2019, and the market will be able to make a high leap.

I wouldn't call it "stable", we've actually beeing going up and down quite frequently with massive swings in price, we might see the same behaviour for a long time until something big happens.

Techincal analysis isn't perfect, and you can't exactly predict market movements so I wouldn't be so sure that we won't go down to those levels again, also, there's a lot of people that still think we haven't found the real bottom...you just never know what's gonna happen in this market.

I have a great feeling that it will continue to grow till next year. We will just have to hold our hopes while waiting and see while the bull market is coming. We don't don't need to hurry for it to come because i have a feeling that everything is yet to set to the right time no matter what we do. The year 2019 is a great year that most investors will start to show.

I think we are near the end of the bear market, and the current rally will form the top of the "accumulation trading range." That's the base that forms before the next bull market can emerge. We'll probably dip below the December lows eventually and will fluctuate between that bottom and $6,000 for many months.

My prediction is that it will continue to trade sideways hovering around $4000 until we get closer to the bakkt release date. When it is 100% confirmed we can expect a nice pump back up to the former stable levels around $6500

I don't think there is much to pump here, even when Bakkt is allowed to launch. It's just a matter of logical thinking that it takes time for them to build up and gain more use, which could be a process taking years. Sure, there might be a small pump, but if it isn't backed by anything, it will come down just as easily.

People shouldn't underestimate the $6000 level. What was once a strong support range, is now a brick wall we have to break through, and it won't be easy at all, and it might take several attempts. We're not only dealing with people who bought at current levels and look to cash out at such levels, but those who missed out on selling at $6000 will probably still do so when it gets back up there.

Be happy with the price, that's the most important tip, because it can always go lower.

100% agree with this. if we get up to $5500-$6000, it's a pretty easy sell. so many people bought that range for so long; of course people will jump at the chance to break even or get out with slight losses.

With the current state of the market I'm still very hopeful and positive that it can potentially get back on track in 2019. I think this dip is a market reset ready to skyrocket next year. This has been a normal trend and market was able to certainly recover at the course of time. Don't panic, trust, and believe that price fluctuation is part of market growth and in generating profit.

I expect a boring 2019 in which we go sideways and stay at a low price. Smart money will keep accumulating for the entire year before we go $100,000 on the next fractal cycle of bitcoin boom and  busts as usual. Too many noobs that don't deserve to hold bitcoin still on board.

Not really sure. Maybe we can see a few bumps here and there, but it will be very difficult to even touch the $5k barrier. It will take months and loads of money to break into the $5k-$6K again. We may be trading sideways for the rest of the year.

Sideways movements are much better than a falling down market. I believe in your eyes what we have had in 2015 must be seeming like sideways but I am not seeing that so. But in my opinion, that is the initial phase of another bullrun. Yes, we did not have any big rally in 2015 but considering the same thing to happen in 2019 I believe prices may trade around $10k which must be still a very good prices for many people here including myself. (in 2015 bitcoin had showed 40% to 50% recovery of then ATH).

I'm hoping for them to be successful but I recently read they are still struggling to finalize the license things. Let's hope for the better things in 2019 except that we do not have do anything to do as of now.

Normally every investors have some prediction so bakkt is conduct some contest in recently so too many peoples are predicted some value, But all the prediction is just a normal routine value. I don't believe these kind of future possibilities because most are expecting the huge pump but reality it is impossible to success in future. It looks like the crypto market will rise in 2019, and from market movements at the end of the year it can be a sign that the market will have new hopes in the coming year.

There's a lot of circumstances hanging right now which affects to the complete trend whether we are now in recovery moving up or just a bounce from the bottom and still having the biggest reasons of dumping is the regulations in crypto that might be a cause to dump again or pump. From this year 2018 and on past Q1 that is not good in a start of the bear market i see that we may seen it again and for my very own analysis we haven't reach the bottom yet i am not confident that we've bounce from here and we will go up increasing on this range high so i expect a hit from the hard support areas to test it before going to a full blown recovery.

2019 for me is definitely the right time for bitcoin to bloom again but probably not to much like the previous ATH record, 'cause it's very difficult now to achieve again due to some factors that always interrupt and manipulate the price suddenly.  But for sure in my view on this upcoming new year bitcoin will give us an opportunity again to regain our losses and to obtain more profits  .

You really think we're only going to $100,000 next time? Now that we've had a yearlong correction (which will probably extend another year like you say) I think we can set our sights higher. The 2017 bubble topped 16x above the 2013 bubble. I figure it should be closer to 10-12x or higher next time around if we continue on a logarithmic growth path. If we're looking at an S-curve path, it could be much, much higher than that......unpredictably so.

The rise from the MtGox 2013 all time high of $1300 from $20,000 of last christmas was an increase of around 1435%.

If history has to repeat itself, it would be way more than $100,000 since $20,000 to $100,000 is a %400 increase, so it would be pretty conservative. Once $100,000 is crossed massive FOMO will kick in. So we would need specifically a price of $317,000 to repeat the same % increase.

We always hope for a better crypto market, and of course, there are many who want more positivity. The market movement of each coin is different so that the movement is in accordance with the development team in its creation. Crypto trips every year will be different and learning about market movements in 2013 gives us an idea to be able to receive it.

We have the same hope. It could increase higher if the situations and conditions are like this and bitcoin is not increasing and decrease too deep. But once bitcoin is moving deeply, then the altcoin needs to adjust the price and sometimes, if the bitcoin is down, the altcoin will down too deep, and it makes me worry. Well, I think the market price is increasing slowly but its a good sign of increasing the price and I feel that Bitcoin price will recover soon. 2019 will be another bull year.  The following is a pointer to this: bakkt future trade,  ETF's sec approvals and institutionalized investors coming into the cryptocurrencies market.  Any of the foregoing even  is going to lunch bitcoin and  others cryptocurrencies in the bullish directions.

By thinking so you'll only disappoint yourself as time goes by, because it's based on nothing but empty hopes. Remember what happened last year with people's bullish expectations? The market hedged it.

I'm sure that we'll get Bakkt to launch this year, but even if they are of any value, the impact will be felt over a period that will take a year at the very minimum. I know that people love it, but nothing happens instantly, accept that.

As for the ETF, that's something we might not see the SEC approve even in the next 5 or so years, and why would they? They aren't in place to have you sell the moment the ETF goes live. People only want an ETF to sell the news.

We have reached 2019 and I want to congratulate everyone because the market conditions are in a very good situation. the price of the digital currency has increased and altcoin like etherum has improved so well, we are just waiting for the others and I hope the price of bitcoin will increase too. when the price of bitcoin increases, it will automatically provide an increase in prices for many other digital currencies.

maybe by the end of 2019. you have to consider the "time" aspect of market cycles, not just the price. the only correction that took this long (1+ years) from top to bottom was 2014. after hitting the bottom in january 2015, it took nearly a year before the next bull market began.

By considering the cyclic aspects of crypto markets, I believe that most probably we are into the last phase of down fall markets or in the beginning of rising markets but definitely not in the mid of down fall markets. This is the hope I am also believing into. Like many people are suspecting this year may be a year of sideways which means there will be no possibility of new ATH. At the same time, there will not be any possibilities for big crashes too.

Compared to bitter falling down markets, I also believe sideways are somewhat good to have. Expecting end of year prices to be above $10k levels which must a good level to have as I will be into profits with my all bitcoins.

I wouldn't rule it out. I don't think it's going to happen, but if the $3K level fails, there's no major support level on the charts until $900-$1,200. So it's anyone's guess where the selling might stop.

I'm in the "2019 will be a year of sideways" camp, but I'm starting to worry this theory is getting too popular. The market doesn't usually do what everyone think's it'll do.

Same types were calling for $100k Bitcoin a little over a year ago - it's all noise...

I do believe the assumption of nothing below $3200 and nothing higher $20k is actually quite valid. People assume just because we are close to $3200 that means we can go below that number but being close means nothing if you do not have the proper sell off. We were at $20k at one point and did it take nothing to make it $25k ? No, it took a lot to make that and we didn't manage to get there, why would it be any different for $3800 turning into $1200 or whatever people assume ?

Hence, I think it will be a year of $4k-$10k levels testing each other constantly and we staying somewhere in between for months without moving. That is how you know you are in a stable market and considering people are tired of doing chaotic things on bitcoin, stable is where we are headed for now.

Just people got excited too much about the bitcoin so they went to invest with the intention of withdraw their profits very soon but the bear market grabbed them.The prices now looks practical and will increase gradually and at some point it will reach $100k too.

Why ask an infinite number of times who has any predictions about Bitcoin next year? Is there anyone else who doubts that its price in 2019 will be much higher than now? I think it should be clear to everyone that after such a long fall, almost a year long, Bitcoin should regain a significant part of the positions lost during this time.

I just do not like to listen any prediction for now because the current trend is still on 50/50 for bearish or bull run. As we all know that many has predicted bull run for 2018 but many failed to it and instead of bull run the investors or the holders has faced bearish market to which many are whinning and that includes myself. LOL. I just do not trust the market anymore and diverting another strategy for crypto investments.

No one can really speculate as to whether the bull run is about to begin, whether it had already started or whether it will come this 2019. All we know is that prices is at stability and less volatility the previous year of 2018. Everybody hopes that 2019 will be a better year for cryptocurrency and all the stakeholders. One year of no hope is too much for eeveryone. If I am about to give my prediction, BTC at most for Q1 will just be slightly over $4000ish . There has been a pattern of false pumps and a whole lot of bad reversals for year 2019. So better study the trend first before placing in any investments.

I doubt it will stay at 4 thousand to be honest with you. Bitcoin is too volatile to have a 4000 avarage when its already there. I think it will definitely go up but I can't promise anything hence what I am definitely sure is that price will "change", maybe up (hopefully up) maybe down but in the end it will change. Q1 has a lot of stuff going on for it and right now we are waiting for the Nasdaq deal, SEC deal and BAKKT deal, if all of them happens than there is no way bitcoin stays the same, it will definitely go above 5-6 thousand if not even more.

I think with any of those getting done it will move forward. However if none of them happens its quite possible the price to go down. Hence, I doubt it will stay at 4 thousand. When you are trading or investing into bitcoin you need to realize it is a volatile investment.

I hate to predict analytically, because even how expert you are in the prediction still you're guessing by then. In this year 2019, I don't have seen any signs that make Bitcoin will increase. Why we always asking or predicting the market? Hence, we can go with the flow by the market price, if your profit was not there then hold as much as you can. Time can tell about what will possibly happen in the future, so now, we must patiently wait for the recovery of the market.

I think we can have a grow in 2019 and i think it can be a good year, more good than 2018, and i will hope for a new ATH regardings bitcoin price. Anyway i will still hold and wait for a better market even if this will not happen in short time.

Wow, there is 5% rise in price today and what I like here is that this rise was almost instant. As I see on coindesk (website doesn't matter much) bitcoin become 4K at 21:00 and keeps this price as for now. We haven't seen 4K for weeks, possibly this can lead to rise, I think if rice will be good tomorrow, we will soon reach 6K and from this point, rise will continue again, otherwise we will stuck in 3K price range.

The rise will happen this year but we never know how much it will reach.
A little rise really makes us happy because we barely see any rise anymore, what we see is a big dump after a little rise.

Bitcoin market had showed some positive trend by the end of last year and now again into sideways movements. It is not yet breaking its support levels of $3000 and that is the main thing I am always looking for this year 2019. I mean to say I'm not bothering about how high bitcoin prices will be doing in 2019 but I am very much concern about it should not fall down further. As long as this support level will be holding, I'm sure bitcoin will find new ATHs on its own way.

The first quarter of this year will be boring as we cannot expect anything big. Hopefully, bitcoin may remain within $10k levels through out this year as many people are speculating about sideways movements. But, I am sure bitcoin may have new ATH in 2019 as anything may happen in this crypto space.

With the conditions of the market right now, I believe it can grow in this year, and I hope although it cannot increase higher like in 2017, at least if the increase can reach 50% from 2017, it will be fine for me. I still hold my coins too as you because I still waiting for the price to grow higher so I can come back to make a big profit. But we still need to be careful because of the market still unpredictable, and it makes us check too often, and if we can see the price getting a pump, we need to sell it fast.

I believe and speculate that 2019 is going to be better than 2018 but we should not expect too much mericle this year as the year seems a correction year. Investors especially the institutions one are waiting for some powerful financial information before investing into the market.

Remember when the price had stabilized in the 6-7k range? Many people, me included, thought it was where Bitcoin belonged to be for the time being. And what d'ya think, it crashed over 50% (i.e. more than two times) within a couple of weeks or so. Personally, I don't expect Bitcoin to crash substantially below 3k and if it will, it will be a flash crash. But I thought the same about the previous "bout" of stability in basically the same way, so who knows

Once again Bitcoin has shown how easy price can change and how unpredictible can be latest almost sudden price rise. Still, this doesn't proove anything and it doesn't mean that will continue and last for longer period of time. So I would be very careful in predictions and wait for a while before naking some conclusions.
It's good to be optimistic and I am but at this stage I don't expect too much of 2019 and I don't share the opinion with some that we will see 10000$ soon.

This rise is so meaningful for everyone, we can start the uptrend now because of this but of course its too early for that. Bitcoin will take this one slowly, but it will always be a sure uptrend for bitcoin soon. Keep that hopes in you, don’t stop from holding because someday that patient will lead you to a bright spot of this market and have more money.

now we are entering in 2019, but the market has not shown significant growth, I think it is very difficult to grow back to its original state like in the end of 2017, so I don't think there will be any great growth this year.

Market is going green again but the resistance is really hard for now.

Who could even imagine somewhere in February or August of 2015, when Bitcoin had been trading at around 200 dollars per coin, that in a little over two years Bitcoin will cost 100 times more than that? I suspect not many people could even dream of such a price, and if asked, they would likely bring forward quite a few plausible arguments why it simply couldn't. One of them would be like yours, that Bitcoin crashed from 1100+ to 200 dollars a year ago and there was no way it could reach 20k in not so distant future. And it was an entirely new territory back in the day, which is not the case today (while 200k definitely is)

2019 will be a bullish year for cryptocurrencies,  coins without use cases will be eliminated and will be the start for other coins to be on the top 100.

No one can be sure of what the likelihood of the market would be this year as no one can obviously predict what the future holds. A lot of people or investors still feel the bottom has not been reached yet, while some tend to think we might be consolidating through out the year, but however the market would end up, only time will tell us. However, we have the trend to guide us in most situations anyway, so that is basically the only friend we have right now.

There is certainly no assurance in the present condition of the year at this point in time. We might end up having some relief rally probably towards $6k, but that will only be known with time but as it is, I would not expect so much this year anyway as we might possibly dwindle in between $3000 and $6000 throughout the year before we end up seeing any likelihood of a new uptrend. Just on the sidelines looking at how the market would be fairing for now, while taking some little advantage of the short term opportunities.

Growth at the beginning of the year gives new hopes. I thought that the price will rise and overcome the mark of $ 5000 but today bitcoin went back to the bottom. I think that now bitcoin will trade in waves and gradually grow during 2019 but the historical maximum can not be overcome .

And it is not completely impossible if we are going to make a couple new lows. Until there is a significant surge in demand caused by major events and market sentiment change (which may take months), all we are going to see is bouts of volatility driving prices in both directions for a short while. So if you are trader, your only option now (other than staying away from the market altogether) is trading range, i.e. trading within the recent highs and lows (but beware of possible breakouts)

I think that the year will be positive for cryptocurrency. Perhaps not at the beginning of the year, but throughout the year the market should please investors, otherwise you need to invest in the long term for 2-3 years. Each person chooses the point of entry and is responsible only to himself ! Be careful friends.
