Firstly,  I will like to congratulate all of us that started last year and today according to my country calendar we are in new year in health and prosperity.  I wish all of us traders well.
From all indications the cryptocurrencies market and bitcoin in particular has not seen to be in the bottom yet and the bears are more ready to pull down the price further.  We don't even know accurately were the bottom is and according to some speculators bitcoin might go below $3000 before we can see good recovery.
My question is this: were did you think Bitcoin's price will be at this time next year and What are your thoughts and technical reasons why bitcoin will not go beyond $3000? Your views will be appreciated.  Thank.

Let's face it, you,i and everyone in here knows that no one knows what the next turn is for the bitcoin,last year(2018),the prices fluctuated all year long, except for a particular period when it was stagnant for a while
The bitcoin defied all form of speculations and expert analysis last year and as for now it's impossible to speculate what the price will be by the end of this year
But honestly the bitcoin is still a long way off a bull run,it is still in its recovery process,which would surely take a while

So from this picture, 2019 looks not too good. However, second half of 2020 looks fantastic. I personally would look at this with a grain of salt, but perhaps it can be convincing for others.

As far as I am concerned, I like trading in the short term, mostly using the same old adage, buy fear and sell greed + TA but it does not always work.

Good news is I am sure we will see plenty of big fluctuations again this year. So again a lots of up and down which is great news for short term traders.

My views for this year is to lay low untill the markets gets better. But I guess you can still trade sometime and find a good trade from the market with this kind of situation.

Its also unsure what will happen  in 2019. There could be some changes if regulations are working already. There were news about it asking ICO to refund investors but these kind of news are sufficient enough to believe. What is certain though is that when price is bleedingly low, its time to invest.
If you have waited this long to for btc price to  rise up, 2023 would be that worth waiting for you too.

There are many predictions coming on different views but still no one can say what is going to happen,in my opinion the prices will be bullish in 2019 since the longest bear run in 2015 also have the same time frame so if we calculate on the basis of that means we can be positive that bull cycle will begin in near future.

In my opinion for the most part of 2019 BTC will be below 6k ...
I believe we haven't seen the bottom yet. I strongly believe 3k will be broken.
I think toward the end of 2019 we might see some signs of recovery... possibly by breaking 6k levels, and turning resistance into support at 6k.

No one is sure about what will happen to the market in 2019. So if anyone is saying anything rock solid, he is just speculating and nothing else. Speculations should not be taken very seriously so keep calm because you can't hold anyone accountable if his/her speculation is not met!

If you see the "speculation" section in this forum, you will find literally hundreds of threads with the same intention. So I would request you to take a glance at that section and you may find some useful speculations backed up by facts and figures and technical analysis. But consider them just as speculation and move on.

I personally think that we will see some more countries will open up their doors to the crypto currencies which will lead to a fresh round of merchant adoption and push in demand in 2019. I mean that's what we need to see organic growth of cryptos in 2019 and years to come!

I am still looking at this bear market stretching out during the 1st quarter or even the 2nd quarter of 2019 as there is still no signs of Bullishness in the market not even any kind of sign that a reversal will happen early. So let us expect that this bear market will still continue and the best thing about it is we can stock up our portfolio at this discounted rate, I know that you hear this quite often but that is the best advice you can get aside from shorting it if you think it will still go down lower than what we have now.

I totally agree with you are every one is only waiting for the price to move up so that they can sell it in the market, then think who will buy in high, so still the market is in bearish and this movement is temporary.

Maybe we should wait. Because we cannot reach a result by technical analysis. You can reach any result, but the accuracy will be minimal. Rather, with the main analysis, the price forecast may be close to the true but there is nothing about it.

Finding the bottom price is always like an eternal question for us traders since we have seen for countless times that Bitcoins price can anytime surprise us. Precisely
predicting its bottom is impossible but there are traders who do took the risk on setting up orders because they believe it is already the bottom price neither way it can only give
positive or negative outcome. Talking the price as of this year? Then no one knows but you should set yourself to be ready on what would happen next.

Well, to be honest, I'm not so sure about what would be the outcome this year but i kinda have a good feeling about it that we will be prospering some good news and Bitcoin will eventually recover from this bearishness of the market. So, for now, we will just have to wait for that time to come and what it is gonna be like when we reach at that point.

Merchant adoption is welcome, but the fact is that regardless of how fast or cheap transactions are, people treat their coins as an investment and won't spend anything of it.

People fear missing out on future growth, because let's be honest, your $100 that you spent today in whatever crypto currency may be worth $200 a week or two later. It's very difficult to have people spend anything with that in mind.

People are too lazy to buy back the coins they spend, and honestly speaking, why would they? It's too time consuming and requires additional steps that make crypto as it is today not an ideal form of money....

I feel that the market will start to rise very high this year and many new investors will soon join this market. Currently the value may still be falling but will soon return to the best growth stage and you just have to wait to see that price increase.

Yes we can still trade base on our own studies about every coin. I'm having a hard time to use TA in the past months since the market continues to go down but hopefully we can witnessed a great run this year. For now, I need to see the market to show some growth on its price before I make studies on it again. Always be ready for the possible outcome of this market, lower your expectation, set your target price not too much and enjoy waiting.  :)

From the technical analysis side there is still chances its going under the $3000, the support level beyond 3000 is very weak, so once its broken bitcoin might be in trouble, but we got the plus side, which is the bakkt and the etf so there is still hope that it can go up, the market now is full of manipulation and unsure condition

In terms of developement for Bitcoin and other Cryptos it has been a very positive year and 2019 should be better. However when good news comes out it doesn't always mean the price will rise.

Look at Bakkt for example. It was announced in the Summer and had basically no effect on the price. When the ETF got delayed, it lost like $1000 in about 2 days.

Both were positive news releases since Bakkt is good for adoption and the ETF being delayed is better than rejected outright. Basically BTC is struggling to find a fair market value, when it hit $20K it wasn't a fair value it was basically overbought and now we need to see where it will settle.

Issue is that most people bought BTC at $20K, or ETH at $1400 or some ICOs which are sitting at -95% losses and it gave them a bitter taste of Cryptos and they will probably not return. However it doesn't mean that Crypto is dead. Just like Charlie Lee said in the past "Bitcoin went up way too fast..."

There could be many technical analysis on why bitcoin will not fall below $3000 levels but I do believe this level must be a very strong psychological level hence even bitcoin will be falling down below $3000 levels, it will recover quickly. This is how the strongest support levels are working. When this support level will be holding stronger, we can expect bitcoin markets to be sideways in the beginning and then it will slowly enter into rising by the mid-of this year.

These are all just the speculations and if any highly intensive positive news will be arriving about bitcoin ecosystem, no one will able to block the bitcoin market from skyrocketing. People are expecting bitcoin ETF to be approved this year. I believe this will be the more than enough news for bitcoin to hit $20,000 levels again this year.

People have very huge expectation on this year because last year we have seen a complete downfall in terms of price and in terms of market cap. Everybody is moving in the positive direction whether they will get benefits in 2019 because there is much major news to be released in this year. So this year it is going to be very exciting which will help to reach the new desired targets in the market.

2018 is year of correction and i have no doubt about that and i'm sure most of traders aren't get decent profit last year because the situations were became very hard and my expectation on 2019 is all of cryptocurrencies market will be recover or i expect after new year since january there will be good news regarding the price movement and overall i wish on 2019 it will became an recover year for all of the market

I think volatility will continue in the price of bitcoin but I doubt if we will see big swing.  I am ready to catch in on these fluctuations as short term trader.  I believe Bitcoin is still good long term hold and price of bitcoin will shock everyone when the bull kick in!

For traders, I can tell them that this new year is hoping to increase the volume of the market to be successful and to grow their 2019 growth and hopefully the market price will be pumped back. and not just traders waiting for everyone to pump but also our bounty hunters who continue to look forward to the increase and we are still waiting for the market price rise this coming 2019.

Like someone said above that 2018 is correction year for bitcoin, i agree with that statement, but say that it will recover now is too soon, IMHO
I would like to say it after we pass the first quarter from 2019. Im sure the market will still bear, but sometime will happen bull run ( in the bear trend ). This situation will make profit for short time frame trader and daily trader.

For me on this year probably there's a slight progress of the market, but in my opinion not on this month.  Which is maybe mid term or before november because market still very stagnant and so tough, common reason why it's  still very difficult to predict where the next move

If the mass is preparing for a good 2019 just like how they expected 2018 to be a good year, I'll probably be better off lowering my expectations of the market even further.

I'll only turn bullish in the near term if we break the $6000 level, and as long as that isn't the case, there isn't much reason to expect any sort of increase beyond $5000. $6000 was what people considered very low before it broke, and now that "very low" level will form a massive challenge to break through. If we manage to do that, 2019 is what I consider to be a great year.

In the end, be careful what you wish for people, have more respect for the levels we're currently hovering around, regardless of how "low" they may look.

To be honest no one could exactly predict where is the bottom of bitcoin. As well as wee seen the bottom of 2018 is almost 3K. And yearly candle closed on 3.7K zone. In my in my opinion this bottom we will not see again on 2019. Every trader's have own opinion and calculation. But I am not expecting anymore that bitcoin will touch 3K. I am expecting a revolution on 2019 same like we have seen on 2017. Not very much investors entered on crypto market on 2018, its my own observation from last years. That was the reason dropped price bitcoin price. I am expecting new investors will enter on crypto market again and we can see something good on this year. I agree with you mate I think everyone should wait for this time to come and to see the market of bitcoin recovering the fall. It takes time is surely only patience will work out. I am very hopeful that same as 2nd last year 2019 will be the year of bitcoin and we will see changes for good. As for now people are investing which shows investors are hopeful this year.

Yes.As traders,we should always be hopeful and never stop investing and believing in bitcoin because once a bull run will start,we will all benefit from cryptos.My views for 2019 are very much positive so as early as now,i want to have a good mindset about crypto trading.I'll still keep on investing and will be willing to add them in my portfolio.

Happy new year to all of us and this year 2019 I don't think it will go down to the value of $3000 because this year is all coins is posibility to become high the value.  All people here in cryptocurrency needs to be positive to all time so that it will up the value.

We know bitcoin is now getting more and more attention and there are plenty of places that started to accept crypto currency but I hope there will be much more in this year starting to accept as well. I want ethereum to keep growing and use their blockchain in many more places. I want bnb to give us more than just transaction fee advantage.

Basically I want coins to have a way of using them instead of just buying and selling. I will not be using them that way but at least I will be capable of buying a coin that has utility instead of buying a coin that has potential. I am tired of investing into "potential" of the coins I buy, I want to invest into current stuff not future stuff in 2019.

I see a hope in 2019, after 2018 we have only got something so bleak. When in 2018 almost the majority of coins experienced a tremendous decline. I see an increasing trend at the end of 2018, and it turns out this has an impact on the positive in early 2019. Hopefully this positive improvement will make the market in 2019 more passionate and have an extraordinary transaction volume.

Yeah, its too early for that good reviews but I hope it will start to pump maybe next month or in the 2nd quarter of 2019. I’m planning right now on how to trade well, and what strategies that i’m going to use in order for me to generate clean profit. I’m also planning to hold more bitcoin and eth, its quiet less the stress compare in trading.

ETH is showing a great price for us after we saw bottom, hopefully it will not correct now to see a more expensive ETH.

This year will be better than last year trading altcoins that are just coming on board. The bearish market affected so many good projects last. At the beginning of last year, so many projects pegged their ICO price between $700 t0 1000$ for Ethereum base project, but before they could finish selling their ICO, Ehtereum was falling beyond control and some project couldn't meet up to even reach their soft cap. Those that managed to sell their ICO are still far belonged their ICO price in exchanges and to trade with those ICO is very difficult and the risk is very high. The new ICOs that are coming on board this year has already taken precaution base on the market situation to peg their ICO price very low so that they can survive this year. Trading with new good altcoin will make a lot of sense this year. You need to do your finding before you trading on new ICO.

I initially thought that we have reached the bottom at $3200, but who knows, the market is based on speculation and anything can happen. I will try to remain optimistic this year though, but if the market condition worsen, then we need to adjust and be flexible.

I believe we are the only one person here who is talking about "stable". I'm sorry even in 2020 you cannot find bitcoin will be stable. It will always fluctuate and most people here are concerned about on which direction it will fluctuate and never bother about stabilizing. As per the history and on my own technical analysis that we are going to have sideways markets in 2019 and it may have rising market also but there will be less possibility of seeing bitcoin prices to break $20k levels in this year.

You do not need to be proud of this action. But I'm seeing that you are missing out a very good lifetime opportunity to enter into bitcoin markets for cheaper levels. Yes, it may turn as your lifetime mistake also as you may never get chances to buy lesser than $4k for ever if you will not dare to buy right away.

Alt coins are now on recovery as there are many coins that got better rise in price same as those many coins bitcoin is also one of good coin. ETH is also improving but a little time will be taken.  But still the best coin to trade with is bitcoin only. I prefer it to trade for long term because this makes me feel safe to trade with bitcoin but it’s just my own thinking according to my experiences.

Thats expected because the market corrections and blood bath badly affected alot of coins this lead to some coins loose there utility and potential. Therefore, only coins with huge and stable community support will survive once the market is stable or bullish.

How will they achieve stabilizing? Maybe there will be limits but I don't think that is gonna work. Because I want to use my money as I wish. Even if there is a daily limit of 1k, volatility will not stop until price be 100k(100k may not be correct).

Anyone can't predict what will happen, I say this because the bitcoin movement is only influenced by various issues and comes suddenly.

Prices of some cryptocurrencies started to go up in the first week of this year and and in the coming weeks, there will be events that may help the prices to go further. But I still believe that the possible market growth for this year will be better that last year or more price pump than declines. No one can really predict what will really happen in this year but if there are positive developments that will take place this year then the market will going positive too.

The year 2019 is not a great year for us traders and also to those who bought at its peak on 2017 ends up selling most of their tokens at a low price. And that results to more loser in the market instead of winners. Lucky for those people who bought at the bottom then sell it at its peak. It will be very difficult to accept Bitcoin but I believe this can happen in the short term because the demand for investment in this market is increasing and people like the speed and safety. I personally hope many big countries will accept Cryptocurrency and ETF funds will soon join this market.

I don't think BTC's price is always too low. Its price will recover in 2019 and it will increase to $ 6,000. Because if the price of BTC is too low, other manipulators will be set up with a larger capital, they will buy the BTC and will kick the old whales out of the market easily. that is the nature of the decentralized market. so whales will not let the BTC price too low.

Predictors/speculators or technical analysts are just a method that we cannot make as a definite reference. I don't believe the price of bitcoin will go back down to $ 3000 at the beginning of the year because that hasn't happened yet, it's just a false method. That important news will make bitcoin prices improve this year but I can't confirm that the bear season will end, it looks like the end of the year can only touch up to $ 10,000 and this is not a bull run but a gradual bull.

I don't see any good thing right now, specially until February. Every strategy fails, money management create stuck and gambling makes me poor. First the price of bitcoin will always be unstable due to fluctuations, and in my opinion 2020 will not be stable due to the halving factor that might make prices volatile at that time, and am I sure the price will stabilize anyway.

This year might be a good one. Before we got into 2018 I already knew that last year (2018) was going to be bad, and that’s why I withdrew everything. Last year I didn’t take trading so serious and what I earned wasn’t much compared to that of last two years. But I believe this year is going to be better. Why I didn’t anything better last year was because I didn’t expect bull run to happen twice straight. So this year should be good.

If we pay close attention, precisely on the growth that occurred two days ago, it seems that crypto prices are always trying to grow, and at that time there may be among you who see the price of bitcoin growing above 2%-3% ($4.000), ethereum growing above 10,4%, and hundreds of coins others also experience growth. Base on what I observe bitcoin will not down again at $3000 this year. After 1 year dumping of the bitcoin value lets time to shine again the value of this coin.  Traders will be better because as of now market have stable and we are excited to see the value of each coin increase. Your observation resulted to your prediction but there is no guarantee that it will not gonna go down anymore, we might think that bitcoin has already bottom but who knows what will happen in the future. Though I really think it's not gonna go down also but I've prepared for whatever happen, I'm not worried about my holding, I'm just worried on what will happen to the market again when we will hit downward trend again.
We should be active in monitoring the market so when the bull run will arrive, we will be on time to ride it. (just hope it will not be a bull trap)
There is a significant growth that happen during the last month period but I'm sure we didn't feel it because what we have witness is a bigger significant dropped in the past months.

In my opinion, the price of Bitcoin will increase in 2019 and there is no reason that can prevent it from growing. Although its technology is not developed, it has a huge fan community and they make money through transactions. The whales are always willing to pump the price of the BTC so that they have a huge profit from manipulation. so its price is never stable or below $ 3,000.

The prices went too deeper last month but now it somewhat recovered and showing a small percentage f growth in the weekly time fame so we need to get in now to ride it.

Another newbie trying to declare BTC dead and saying good bye to btc. Just for the information, 2019 will be a good year for bitcoin and those who have given up btc and are out of it, will surely regret it later.

I am actually both a altcoin and bitcoin trader. Last year was not really good for us though. I am hoping that this year will be prosperous for us, traders. My prediction is that the price of bitcoin will be higher than its price last year so that I can already exchange my bitcoin to other cryptocurrency.

I can't say 2019 will be a better year or a great year, I can not see the future but I can tell you just one thing for sure and that is all these people keep saying "good bye btc" are quite wrong. It is as wrong as saying earth is 6000 years old. There is literally nothing you can say that could be as wrong as that in crypto.

You can say bitcoin will be 10 dollars or 10 million dollars each and both would be more sane than saying bitcoin will be gone. Bitcoin has been here for 10 years now and this is the best year we ever had if you look at what the lowest it was, if you look at highest it is still one of the top 3 as well. Hence just looking at the drop with a blind eye is a very wrong approach and it will be the end of some traders to be honest with you. Hopefully we will have a better year and all these naysayers will be gone by then.

This kind of people are not the real crypto enthusiast, within 10 years of existence in Bitcoin we encounter different price movement and Bitcoin start with nothing value and now the value is folded many times through years passed then, you say that Bitcoin is dead and goodbye. I don't think so what are you trying to say here.
I'm not a trader, I am a bag holder, as of now I don't have seen any good signs that the market will fully recover at this year but at least we've seen now a little progress and hopefully those coming implementation will help the market grow the ETF and BKKT.

That is not good to say good bye to bitcoin because 2017 according to me was really a good year for crypto and that time bitcoin gained its real height. At the start of 2018 I know bitcoin was not good and it made a little downfall but year after year it gets better and now after fall time to recover and enjoy profit leaving now will be foolish decision.

Now after which, in case you see what it's miles lowest, it is the satisfactory year for us. i think market  will recover this year but not so early. many people say that market will recover in this month but my thought its need more some time. may be it will recover after middle of this year or end of the year.

My biggest tip is never sell your whole crypto bag thinking you can buy in cheaper.  I've seen many people make this mistake only to be left behind when the real bull market begins.  I won't be trading much in 2019 because I'm mainly a holder when it comes to these markets.

Exactly. If you are a bag holder, there's no sense of dumping all your stash in just one sitting. Yes you can dump a few in you feel like but its better to hold on to something as a backup plan so that in case something good or bad happen, you still have some coins in your wallet. As for 2019, I will wait till the market bounce back before resuming by trading activity. Maybe just a few coins here and there, but I won't devote as much time as I did in 2017.

Crypto space is somewhat difficult to predict since there is no control with the price. Though bull run won't showcase again but there is no worries to have cause it surely recover and not for dying.  We found btc for 10 years ago and it's price now is so far by then. So if we imagine, bitcoin is greatly growing up and it is spreading globally.

For the first week of January, trading looks profitable because the prices fluctuate nicely. For experienced traders this situation is great and for sure they are enjoying trading.

From the fundamental analysis alot of big thing will coming in this year that will bring institutional investor to enter to crypto market so the price of Bitcoin has potential to going up again to the highest price in 2017/ to the $20K in the end of 2019. Beside that, stocks market crash and many trader will move the money in to crypto. Crypto still stay here, and soon or later bull market will coming. 

In 2019, we might see some positive in the cryptocurrency industry due to because adoption kept increasing and there are many approvals from different parts of the country. So it is always good that 2019 is going to one of the best years that many companies will show interest towards this blockchain.

So basically there is a strange trend that we see pretty much every year in January, we notice a drop in the price of Bitcoin. That is in no way a "solid" info but just some extra thing to consider before placing your orders this month, maybe you should wait for next month.

I was an active trader in 2017 but now I have turned into long term trader hence obviously I am also will not be spending big time for my trading in 2019. Most probably I will be right with my decision but it took long hours of frustrations and big money to take the decision of being long-term trader rather than trying out on daily basis.

I have already started to buy bitcoins and few other altcoins as I feeling that this must be the right time to buy and hold even market will be reacting on its own way. I will be ready to hold for years so I will not be bothering about what is going to happen in 2019. If market will be rising I will keep buying and if it will be falling down then I will wait and buy. Moreover, I am expecting market will keep rising in 2019 it may be completely different from most other people as they are speculating about mixed trend for this year.

I see no significant development in the changes in bitvoin prices at the beginning of 2019. Therefore I see that bitcoin will slowly grow this year. although all possibilities can still occur.

I expect that the market will become bull again in this current year. The trust between users and the cryptocurrencies are now expanding. The demand is noe currently increasing so we should expect that the market will be green again.

How you are saying the demand is increasing right now ? Because we are just one week passed in this new year and I'm not seeing anything drastically changed in this last 7 day. Still, I agree with the you but it will take more time for the market to become bullish. We cannot expect market to reverse immediately as it will be taking more time to convince a lot of investors to get back so that market will perform like what we had in 2017.

It is too early to comment like 'no changes in bitcoin prices' as we are still in first week of this year. Yes, bitcoin will slowly recover and then grow; it means this year will be a different year for sure. I'm not sure what are the possibilities you are referring but I am also optimistic about all the possibilities which are positive.

On a more detailed level, no one can really tell the time we will begin to see a bull run and a sustainable growth again. Everyone hopes that after bello $3k that the price of Bitcoin will surely begin to rise, but the reverse might be the case and nothing will still happen. And for where the price will be by this next year, it's too early for such guesses and predictions.

Personally I think that the price of bitcoin during 2019 will have a more mature and more credible trend .. during 2018 the price did not react to the fundamentals that instead have grown a lot creating an interesting ground for the entrance of the institutionals and for the adoption. During 2019 I expect a positive price reaction but not a speculative bubble as happened during 2017.

If we expect a lot from trading then it will not came for us then we cannot make interest to continue so don't expect much more work more then get what you are doing it will be the right way for doing trading.

We started the year with no declining scene and it is really good to see.  Showing such thing is an indication  that there will be huge increase in the coming days. We don't need to be hurry anyway cause it will come to us momentarily, only we have to do is to prepare and buy more coins as it have still in low price.

I find this to be the right time to buy altcoins at the lower price expecting good return long term. Because the price of ethereum seems to be recovering slowly. In this start of the year many of altcoins get pumping already slowly but lot of them also stock what on their price right now so it's good to buy until the of it not already pumping up.

If it's slow and steady, I would be very happy but seeing it back again, that's a not sense pump because it's most likely a pump and dump scenario and it's destroying the will of the potential investors while making the manipulators richer. What we should see is a dominant uptrend movement, that would make us more comfortable in holding and those investors who are willing can come at the right time.

Hopefully this will happen soon in 2019. Things have become very bad at this time and there hasn't been any steady price increase in the last few days. We cannot confirm what will happen to this market but I hope in 2022 everything will be different and we will have more choices.

Its going to be stay this way for a long time again. Pumping and dumping is also a way to make investors play the game after all the game will just take time, they should just participate in the accumulation. The market has been this bear for so long and right now its starting to kick back up so it a positive market that it had been stable for weeks now.

Let's see what new year will bring us. I personally don't expect so much from the change of calendar year but anyway this psychological approach has it's own pros and cons. Nobody can really say what will happen in 2019. In trading, everything depends on demand and supply. If the market will boom, it depends on the regular traders and the long investors. You know what I mean by this when there is scarcity the demand will be high and the price will go up. If the market continues like as it is in this January investor will confidently come back to invest. Some investors are no more investing base of what happened last year. Believe that this year will be far better than last by the grace of God.

I really have no idea or words to say. I was very hopeful until the last days of 2018 and now this year 2019, I'm just preparing what worse things that will come. Even though I'm still hopeful but to reverse everything, we really need a big help from influential people to be on our side.

It is now 8 January 2019 that bitcoin prices are fluctuating at 3k5 - 4k. I think this is an optimistic signal that could bring warmth to the crypto market. Maybe after the hardfork of eth ends on January 18, it will show more optimistic signals of the market, signs of bitcoin's recovery without bears. I think the trading will become more easy in this year than last year. Last year, the trading is so hard because the price of all cryptocurrencies arw dumping. Their price have abnormal movement whete you cannot predict what will happen to its price.

I don't think icos are going to do very well this because of the ways many of them has scam investors and some of them have abandoned the projects completely.  I invested into jds last year and for quite some time now no single update and the same developer is working in another project now.

In my prediction Bitcoin will going up around $4000 to $15k until in the end of this year,  but some altcoin possible to going up to 5 times. The crypto market will keep growth in this year although not like in 2017.

At this time we are in january 2019 so no lot of trade news for now but some of altcoins get pump right now. But ethereum's price get pumping right now for its price.

The market shows early recovery but not as much as it shown in 2017. I'm not a very optimistic person but I do believe crypto market will go higher this year but not in the way that it could reach another ATH. I'll be just satisfied if surpasses $8k, it is good enough to cover losses last year and it could catch investors again.

i don't think it go down beyond $3000.  the market has been very unpredictable but still, it has not  gone down below $3500.. so i would like to believe, it will still go up.

In my opinion in the end of this year price of Bitcoin will reach ATH again to the $20K and others altcoin do the same thing because in stocks market crashed so only in crypto market will be the place to earn money.

I think 2019 will be a good year for crypto because altcoins are always trying to raise capital in the market to survive. Bitcoin, too, will no longer be at $ 3000, it will grow and rise to $ 5000 in 2019. There is a lot of momentum to drive growth in the crypto market. Cheap price of altcoin and bitcoin, it will attract many investors to the market.

I expect that many more altcoins will lose its value in this current year. Last year, there are many altcoins that have been died because of low support from cryptocurrency community. No it’s not good to wait because now price is getting high and we should try to buy as much as we can.  Some of my friends has come to me and they asked me the same so I suggested to buy now and n not to be late any more. As much as I love crypto I would never see it as safe as it stands now. I would own bitcoin & ethereum but I think those are the only “Safe” ones and only a fairly small amount compared to my overall assets. Hopefully this all changes in the near future.

Every year price remains different and it changes I think last year went worst so 2019 will be good and it will make this market better than before now. According to my prediction this year price will rise higher than $10000k till end.

It seems like I agree with some speculators who say the price of bitcoin will fall below $3000 to recover, at least the range of $1000 is the value that will be touched before bitcoin actually recovers. Bitcoin prices are currently at least stable and only move in the range of $3000 which is the same nature when it was at $6000 before. If the increase will take place immediately without falling lower than the present value, then I will only be surprised and may feel grateful but must be admitted if the price drops lower then it will make the situation worse. So my view is that there will be no improvement at the beginning of this year, maybe we should wait even longer to see positive movements in the crypto market.

Everything right now is still in the red. But news and everything keeps on predicting that there will be a Bull run, everyone says that 2019 will be a very good year, and I also think the same (never thought the same for last year, my thoughts were negative through out) this year is going to be something positive. I think 2019 still give new hope for traders because now the market is at the bear market and it's the right time to buy more and more. But you always need to analyze the coin before you buy because it still hard to find the good moment for the coins to increase. I believe that Bitcoin will strengthen its positions in 2019-2020. It is not better to trade altcoin with the lower market capitalization and hold BTC. This year, I am planning to combine day trading and holding.

The bottom range is in already the past two months. I have no idea if the price will break down below the $3100 December low, but I'd give it a 50/50 change to occur during the first half of this year. Generally I see 2019 as looking pretty good, being the transition year in between bear and bull markets. I expect the price will stay in the 3000/4000 range for the first half year or so, considering much of the market seems to think it is definitely going lower, which means many people are all too willing to sell in the 3000s.

After a half year or so of stability in the 3000s/4000s (with a possible dip at some point to 2000s, though likely brief) I think enough of the market will be convinced that selling in the 3000s or 4000s is a very bad idea that we'll see the price start to rise. It could occur from events like whenever BAKKT opens or an ETF approval or other Wall St firms opening up their Bitcoin services like Fidelity and whatnot, or it could just be the natural turnaround of the market without any news events. But I think roughly this summer the turning point will begin and we'll start to see the start of the next bull market.

For trading I'd say right anytime it dips to mid or low 3000s is a great time to buy and look for 5-10% trades. There is plenty of volatility in the 3000 range to get in good trades.

I think it could get up to $8k or so by end of year as the next bull market slowly starts so trading by end of the year should be quite easy.

In my own observation on the price of bitcoin, it will not progress or go up in a year or two. So basing on our understanding, there are still some forks to expect and the price would definitely drop even below $3k.

My view in the middle of 2019 bull market will start because crypto market already tired after long bearish. Since crypto market born bullish and bearish always changed and bearish will turn in to bullish just in few month more. With more mass adoption and more institutional investor come in to crypto , this market will be huge and boom.

My thought are and will be that bitcoins will not pass the 4000k price mark this year. we will keep on fluctuating between 3500k and 2500k. there is an indication that the price will still drop down to 1800k but lets hope it will not get down to that price. it will also move up to 3900 or 4000k if the analysis is right.

Hi friends I think BTC is in the Accumulation Phase, specifically in the Spring zone (According to Wyckoff), my analysis is based on it and in the way Livermore thought, for those who can buy in the accumulation zone it is good time, it is not ruled out that goes down to the 2800-2900 USD, but it may rise quickly to 5k, we are in that phase and only the Strong Hands are the ones that estimate when it will rise ... Remember that the millionaire portfolios barely go in 62%.

Well altcoins goes back to normal at this time as you see they all back that they price in 2018 and continue to fall those altcoins that under top 100 in cmc.

Based on my perspective, the sideways patterns in altcoins will continue until the year ends. Thus, this will make coins to become more likely stable. We are also open to the possibility of coin offering becoming boom again just like 2017.

I think this year 2019 will still remain as bear season base on my observation, and 2020 is really the beginning of bull run. So this year, will gonna be hard to earn a huge amount of token whether altcoins/bitcoin in terms of value and flow of the program of the token in the market. I actually do not care what the upcoming 12 months will do. I have my long term holding that I just hold for the next 3-5 years. To make my daily living I do day trading. I make money when market is bullish, bearish. for me to make decent money every day it doesn't matter what the prices does or is. For my day trading I have 2 accounts. one that I use to increase my holdings in fiat as much as possible and the other one I use do increase my crypto balance as much as possible.
So for me I dont care what price will do. I will make money in any way.

The market in this current year is better than last year. At the beginning of the first quarter last year, we saw the signs that the crash will happen. In the beginning of this year, we now keep seeing the signs that the market will recover.

I thought that the price would keep rising and would be around $25k - $30k at this time but little did I know it would be 10x times less at this point of time.

Bitcoin price needs go under 3K USD to start a good jump from the bottom! I have been hearing this prediction/speculation from November 2018! I think this is not false! To start a new journey, we can expect bitcoin may go to 2300-2600 USD in the coming months!

With a big falling wedge im bullish at the long term if bitcoin manages to bounce off below 200 weekly MA then that could signal a confirmation that bitcoin has truly bottomed out and we can finally see a bullrun in the next coming months. The price may have a one final drop before it bounce off so i wouldn't be to eager and let it play out.

I don't have any views for 2019 and my concern is for bitcoin is to please not just go falling below $3k. I can imagine half of the marketcap getting wiped out if ever that happen. I will only give time for my views if things go right again.

To attrack new retail and institutional investor the price of Bitcoin should be going up after long bearish and big dumped. And with cheap price of all crypto alot of new investor will interesting to invest in crypto, so my view in 2019 will be start for next bull market and that can be start in Q2 or Q3.

We aren't surprise since  from the start of this year and seeing crypto prices fall again but I know it is not the end of crypto( were too far by that). - I don't think so, the situation of the market is constantly fluctuating and with such conditions, doing trading daily will be an appropriate choice because with small waves in the market, we can ride on them and get a lot of profit if we have enough skills and experience. Institutional investors like bakkt has already delayed their entrance in crypto. ETF is also been withdrawn. I do not see any massive rally this year which will make bitcoin price rise like before. I think we need to wait for Mid 2020 where halving will take place and bitcoin will start rising up exponential at that time.

I'm still positive towards the market situation and I believe that there will be positive things coming our way this year. Bull market would approach us and we will all gain the profit that we all want. I will keep my fingers crossed and believe in the capability of the market.

My view for this year 2019 well of course I'll assume good signal anyways crypto in my own prediction price pump up in the middle of the or at 3rd quarter not rapidly but they gives better sign to get good profits.
Early this year crypto gives good s sign and hope this good sign of price increase is the chnace for early bull run of crypto market.

Some indicators wont work for short term so i think most of the traders now are looking for a wide range of the chart, the first quarter of 2019 might not give so much pump on its price, but I also believe on the third quarter it will start to boom again just like the old trends.

Hello I think that now the market will have a prolonged lateralization, it may reach up to 2900USD or 2800USD, I do not think it will go any further, and depending on how the purchases in those levels will start again the rise of Bitcoin and recover the entire market.

In my opinion 2019 the trade situation is slightly improving, because the market experience in 2018 is sluggish because all HODL prices are weakening.
Now the trade has a passion because bitcoin users realize without movement there is no price increase. So, be smart in doing trade so as not to lose. But I am optimistic, 2019 prices will rise.

I believe that bitcoin price will not go down below $3000 because as you can see the month of January until now still $3k+ and $100 more to go the price of bitcoin would reach $4000.

Well it seems likely that we'll be at that 4k level by the end of the first quarter. Today was a pretty good day and most coins we're green with btc and ether leading the gainers. Admittedly I'm one of the traders who did experience some problem but I was able to get out of it though I did not solve it.

I don't really think this year can be regarded as a bull year except if you want to compare this year with that of 2018  which the Bitcoin market value never return to$10,000 .  Although, we may see Bitcoin market value around $15,000 before the end of this year if all things remain equal.

We can't be lost such of being optimistic but even that, it is not enough to help for the market to grow. The market is still relying on the demand and how the community gives support for this. It seems to me that you need to rest.  First, spend your capital on long-term investments in good coins and go on vacation for a while.  Personally, I can no longer cope with myself because of the results of my trading and therefore I make such a decision for at least a few months.
