Title: What will you do when the market goes down? This is my advice
Post by: tranthiky on January 10, 2019, 05:00:01 PM
I find that many people have a habit of holding ETH, BTC, altcoin for a long time and always hoping that it will rise again. If you are a trader, you will lose money for that. Set small target and sell them when you see profits. I only need 3-5% profit when trading.

If you see the market going down, stop loss before it's too late. You may lose 5-10% of the capital but when the market goes down you can buy more btc, eth when you hold btc, eth, altcoin.

Sell all ETH, BTC into Stable Coin when the market goes down

Easier said than done. It's hard to predict such small movements as we're seeing at the moment. It is a good strategy but you have to be calculated and strict about your decisions. If you aim to make 5% then take 5% and always have a point where you'll stop your trade and take a loss if the price is moving against you.

Usually stoplosses would have the ratio of 2:1 but still depending on your risk management on how much you would totally risk up for a possible profit target. Its true that these things are easy to advice when you do know on what you are doing compared to other traders which it is really very very hard to be done. Even pro's do still struggle on how this market moves.Basing on OP, he do active trades with minimal percentage targets. Going for shorts on time spans isnt bad compared on swing or long term.

Of a truth I regret not being able to sell my ethereum and bitcoin when the were both at $10,000 and $8000 respectedly but keep holding up till now.  Though one can not really tell when this market recover and get pump but we can actually reduce our loses by cutting it at the right time.  I spoke with a friend today that has been hedging his bitcoin to usdt and he told me that last year is the best year for him and he has made serious money from the market in 2018 more than any other years because of the secret he is using.

Not all the time. Still depend on the price flow and certain "trend".

If you see the market going down, stop loss before it's too late. You may lose 5-10% of the capital but when the market goes down you can buy more btc, eth when you hold btc, eth, altcoin.

Sell all ETH, BTC into Stable Coin when the market goes down

"IF YOU SEE" - still a wild guess so definitely not an advice.

A common and simple approach but at most of the cases, people can't just applied that way because not all the time a same scenario will happen. It's depend on how far a trader will hold their stand on that certain level. You can't just say "stop loss" etc. because sometimes the one that will happen is the other way around.

Generally, you just stated that easily because you already see what happened in the bearish trend. What if a trader is in the middle of 2017 hype. Will they just gave up their stand just quickly to care for the purpose of buying more at lower levels? People will say yes because they already know what happened in 2018 but if a bull run will happen today, there will be lots of things to be consider before a trader can complete a strategy.

This is called day trading but still there is no assurance that we can make profits unless the prices moves ups and down while falling for longer period.I don't suggest this to anyone other than who knows the risk behind day trading and have actual time for doing it.

It's extremely hard to do for people, because how OP makes it look like a potentially lucrative way of dealing with a bear market, it could just as easily backfire and make you badly regret your decision to sell.

I don't see why people constantly look for ways to do something when prices go down. Either do nothing, which you can be sure of that you won't lose anything other than virtual value, or buy the market down whenever you can.

If you time your entry points correctly, buying the market down also means decreasing your overall buying price. In other words, you will be in the profits much sooner when we have finally bottomed out....

Yeah, you can cut your losses this way, but do you really think that it is this easy to execute this strategy? What if instead of the price falling down after you sell, the price started to rise? You will be making loss anyways.
And when will be the right time to buy it back? The price might once again start falling after you buy back.

Everything you wrote is about cut losses. Of course, escaping with capital to a stable coin is a solution, but not in every situation.
I think that in situation that happened today (with price drops), such an escape to stable coin is not the best way out of the situation, because at any moment the price can jump up very hard, and if we stay with the capitalis in the stable coin, we lose the opportunity to recover losses.

You have a good theory but sometimes is a bit hard to choose some stable coins, as no one can guarantee 100% that a coin will be stable when the crypto market goes down. Anyway i will still get as much bitcoin as i can when the price is low and i try sell high.

Bright strategy and tactic ideas, in a reality that's is difficult 10 percent of loses is huge amount then when you include the transaction fees another cut loss from the investment.
But of course we need to accept all this risk in trading it's because risk is part of the risk investment if they want to earn we need to gamble.

In this bear market, trading would likely to become gambling especially if in the middle of your trading, the price suddenly changes. For me,with this bear market i do not expect huge profits after trading.Once i see a little increase i still do trading and still end up a little profit. It's still good to hear that inspite of this bear market,we can still manage to make even small profits.

What you say is actually quite difficult to implement because we can only identify a downtrend clearly in a period of 2-3 months. It is advisable to sell all ETH and BTC quantities when the market is down. Trading with a profit of 3-5% is sometimes not enough for a trader 's greed, so we often lose ourselves to bigger profits. Knowing that playing by principle can help us get a more regular return. But For me to master my emotions is quite difficult

What happens if the price of stable coins also fell, you can see that coin like tether also lost its value because of bear market.I don't support trading for the people who want to save losses,if they want they can do conversion from btc and eth into USDT but not in regular terms which can causes the people to lose all their money if they don't know what they are doing.

I really thought that I can see a good advise, but just the usual stuff here. Stop - loss, hedging against Tether if the coins go down. This is just the basic of trading, but for noobs this might be a eye opener, but for the majority of casual traders, I'm sure that they are using this strategy quite a lot.

Yes I did this mistake many times in trading,  I also hope the price will be going up again after the price crash but finally the price keep down and down,  and now I loss too much money and I don't know when I can recover that loss. I should always use stop loss and trailing stop to lock the profit and avoid big loss.

if I'm alone when the market is down, all I have to do is keep holding and buying lots of high coins to hold until the market has gone up again, because with that we can get the desired profit

My friends told to me too that our profit target should not be high which mean profit less than 10% is good and they also told to me if the price of Eth or bitcoin gradually dropped then sold all of my digital asset to stable coin will avoid deep loss and honestly i have not try it before but it does cross to my mind to try it but i still don't dare to do so

A 2:1 ratio seems about right to me too. But it always depends on what the market is like that you are trading in. But too many people get caught up in emotions and fail to cut their losses. Either by selling a bad investment as it goes down or by buying back in on a pump. We're only human and we have to be willing to accept that sometimes we'll get it wrong through no fault of our own.

At least pick the closest one that almost reaches to 100%, I know it's hard to find a stable one but the closer you find a good one is worth trying for. Anyway, Bitcoin is still a great choice if you tend to hold it for now due to the bearish market. And since the market is a little unstable due to the fast changing of the price.

Stop loss is really a good strategy but it is hard to apply because we are not sure if the dip will continue or not. Most of us are not winning in trading because we set high targets due to our high expectations. It is true that we should really set small targets for us to not waste the opportunities to earn profit.

You have a point. Most of the new traders here listening to those users who always tell "HODL" if you're a trader you won't let your coins to be held in your wallet without assurance that the price might recover again right? that's why whenever you get a profit at least 5% you will now going to sell it and make a new entry again and whenever you've lost don't HODL just cut your losses and start again as simple as that.

Hodl which basically means hold on for dear life. Most investors bail out by selling their coins and actually suffer the lost. Correction is normal after huge surge in coin price. If you stay calm, you investment will return to normal and perhaps double. Diversifying is key to avoid mistakes. Study the coins and the team behind it and invest rationally

Same I would tell you to invest with multi coins when you see market is down and it will take time to increase. My advice is to keep holding as time to time everything will be normal and you will be happy for holding at falling. So there are so many options for you I advice you to start purchasing bitcoin it has potential to overcome faster.

Last year no body can predict it the price of all crypto will dumped hard and in that times a lot of trader and investor predict the price will keep going up.  But finally the price dumped hard even some altcoin going down to 99%. So we should be have risk management like use stop loss for every trade, even if we decide to hold for long term we should be use stop loss as well.

Do you trust crypto? Do you believe in the future of crypto? If so, then you should wait, indeed waiting is an annoying situation. But if you can wait on the grounds that you have trusted a particular coin then you can make that decision. Some coins require time and when there is a process of dumping prices there will also be a pump price process. You can take advantage of the pump situation to be able to take advantage of momentum well, believe that the future of crypto is bright and for anyone who invests they will all achieve success.

Very good trick but which one is stable coins?. I read & watch many people say about stable coins but I see they in sideways mode not because have stable value. Coins need bitcoin as their leader, if bitcoin still goes down there's no stable coins.

Well as op stated, stop-loss would really come in handy in a time like this. And i think many people are alreadty utilizing this feature since it also can add up to the decline of the price if stop-losses keep on getting hit. Waiting for the bulls to return may take a very long time that most people can't afford to do.

Since I have lost money for a long time, I now trade and I can easily say that it is much more profitable than the hodl process. I've gained so much money from this time that I have started to trade with a low profit margin, rather than targeting a large profit margin, and I would have seen that even if I had stayed in the hodl position my main money would have dropped by at least 60%.

I prefer to hold on to my coins in a falling market rather than selling them, selling them could be the wrong decision considering how unpredictable the market is.

Every strategy can be good in the right moment, also any strategy can ruin you if you do it in the wrong moment. Trading is all about choosing moments for buying and selling, but if you are a serious trader than you have bitcoins and money, and gold and many other assets oh holding. People can`t understand one thing, you never trade with everything you got! You never gamble with everything you have, you need to know how much you plan to spend today and to have for tomorrow, and in case of market sudden turns you need to have other assets to cover some loses and continue.

If you see the market going down, stop loss before it's too late. You may lose 5-10% of the capital but when the market goes down you can buy more btc, eth when you hold btc, eth, altcoin.

Sell all ETH, BTC into Stable Coin when the market goes down
Logic works but markets are combine of both logic and emotions. Let your winning positions to go but having target requires to cut your positions after reaching limit. Stop loss doesn't work in crypto markets because of lack of liquidity. Forex market have the feature to analyze charts but applying same financial tools to this market is useless.

As we know, patient will be the key to help from not losing hard but we should not make it for a long term especially for a certain coins that are really affected with the dumps. We better to sell them and used to buy with other coins(potential), and we can recover those losses it made.

If there is one thing you shouldn't be doing in an overall crypto bear market, then it's buying altcoins. Altcoins tank harder than Bitcoin and for that reason will lead to more harm than good in terms of your portfolio value.

Regarding altcoins with potential, it makes no difference in the grand scheme of things. Ethereum and Litecoin aren't shitcoins, but they still tanked well over 90% in quite a short period of time.

The thing with crypto bull or bear markets is that fundamentals don't matter in the short to mid term, because people just buy or sell because they see it pump or dump hard. In other words, greed and fear rules....

That if said if one is a trader he will lose money for holding your Bitcoin for a long time when prices are going down. The best to do is to keep holding and not to sell because if you sell you are equally contributing to the downward trends of the market. So, I encourage people to hold and equally buy more to encourage market to rebound.

patient is not enough , you need to put action to it . patiently holding is the correct term to say and to do  .

but we should not make it for a long term especially for a certain coins that are really affected with the dumps

long term is actually the best solution to overcome such dumps because most dumps last a little long . short term is not beneficial and only limits your potential income .

selling existing coins at a dump and buy other potential coins may not be a good idea to do because you will only loose . why cant you just  wait first for the market to go healthy before you do your plan  .

While we are making any profits through trading we need to hold those profits because when the market is going down we need to grab those coins. Most of the people will buy the coin at higher price and it is impossible to collect rhe coin at low price sometimes.

That's right, it doesn't matter if we trade with small profits, but in this way we will avoid greed when trading. Because the average trader loses when they are greedy in taking profits and market movements do not support. And maybe what you say is true if the market conditions go down then we can change all our funds to a more stable coin.

What happens if the prices fell more and more while you holding the coins, you may not lose much of your capital but when you think the price will move so you just jumped from stable to bitcoin which results in more dump so it causes more dump so better to keep as it is when you are long term or just do trading of any of your kind to make profits.

Market that goes up all the time doesnt exist, every market fluctuate. Range of this fluctuations is other topic, some have very small range, while cryptocurrencies can change the price, in both directions, for 50 or more percents in just couple days, in money that`s a lot. While cryptocurrencies are risky to trade cause of this fluctuations, many people dare to trade cause profit can be incredible too. For some it is, while some people lose, that will always be like that on every market. In times of dips we need to stay strong with some investments, some we will need to dump to not sink even more, what you do with single investment you need to decide by many factors.

With respect to bitcoin, I do always keep buying at dips. But I'm having different strategy for different altcoins as most other coins are not good for continuous buying whereas we must give them a break before buying back. I mean to say we cannot have any general rule for all the coins in bear markets. Because, all the coins are not having a real potential and real life applications but they are finding ways to survive just by speculations.

Only bitcoin and some major altcoins are good for accumulating with long term targets whereas most other coins are not enough them to support by buying at dips. I do simply stay away from them until the crypto space will be bouncing back to bull trend.

The main mistake many people do when the market falls is that they start selling being afraid of loss. But actually by doing that you could only make things worse and accumulate even bigger loss. To my opinion the best is not to react at first and too quickly but wait for a moment and see how the situation will develope. Holding in such situations could turn out to be the best decision because market will recover sooner or later.
If you have some extra funds buy more coins when the market is down this is good for your own profit and for the market.

As I see everyone here suggest to hold and wait for further rise, I disagree this. OP is right, better to trade even when price isn't great for you because very often it's easy to predict small rise and fall. Also hodling isn't good for bitcoin, why to freeze money for a while? Money has to be in circulation to develop and improve economy, if you stop factory, nothing will be made.

Right. With this current downward trend,we should be more wise to wait atleast for a little good price increase in the market so that when we trade,we can expect a good profit. For now,i still prefer to hold my coins and even buy some new coins that i think have also great potentials.I know i will make good profits with them in the future.

Very obvious that if you are a holder of different tokens or altcoins, you need to decide fast if you will sell it or not. Otherwise, their value will gone down so fast you couldn't even blink your eye. But in terms of bitcoin possession, I tend to save it as much as possible. I believe that it will go up again.

It is very easy, you can take advantage of the dump and also make lots of profit. For example, you have 1 Btc which is worth $4000 and you saw that Bitcoin is about to dump, just swap your Bitcoin for USDT, wait for the dump, and when you think it has gotten to the pick, you can now swap your $4000 to Bitcoin which will give you about 1.3 Btc instead of 1 Btc which you had initially.

Wait until the market goes up...?

How do you know, with short term trades, how much higher it will go or how much longer?

The problem with short term trading (or swing trades) is that you go in and out of the markets, because in fact you don't believe that the specific crypto you are trading will be relevant for the long run. If you really believe in the bitcoin/blockchain story, you don't buy and sell immediately.

That's not investing, that's gambling. And if you're so much into gambling, check out Faireum.io

You'll make a heck of a lot more with transparent gambling and fair odds, compared to going in and out of the markets.

PS This is not financial advise ;)

We have different strategies thus if you think that is the best for you so be it. In my case I prefer to hold bitcoin, eth and other popular coins because its more secure and unlikely to become delisted in any exchanges. Moreover popular coins are well-established and less risky to invest in, especially if you are aiming for long term hodling and profit.

The good thing about it is even their prices are declining you are confident that they can recover back their status once the market turns green.

I think that the richest people in the cryptocurrency are those who invest and do not cash until and unless their profit is the maximum.  They normally invest when the market value of investment is the least. So better follow this ideology and stay for as long as possible. Do not cash out even when the market is a bit better. Cash a part of your coins when you can get the maximum output.

My defense mechanism against going down is always buying more on the down side, when the price is going up I tend to not buy anything, I try to even sell my coins (I have multiple coins and if I see one of them go high too much I sell that, not all of my coins but just that coin) without really a bull look there is no point of keep buying during an increase, it is always smarter to just buy during going down and sell during going up.

So, if the market goes down that means time for me to buy more coins, if the market is going up then I sell so I will have capital to buy during the going down period. I wasn't always like this and bought while going up and sold while going down and I can testify that this new version is much better than the one I use to do.

Good advise and yes, when the market is going down, it's much advised to exchange any altcoin to USDT which is stable coin. Then when other coin values goes down, buy it with Tether.

As you said yes, set a minimum threshold of profits from 5 to 10 percent. Though it takes time and energy, it's much advised to do so. You need to be much patient.

No it is not good to sell even half at this time, price is on progress and it will recover very soon so not good to sell for now, hold your coin and wait patiently, as an experienced investor I would only suggest all of you to keep holding because it is on bearish soon bull will start moving, price will recover within few months but patience is key to success.

There was a good volume which caused the price to go up, it means that there was an offer, it continued to rise and it reached the point where the Strong Hands (Those in charge of raising the price, with Volume) Law of Effort-Result, according to Wyckoff, had to take earnings and profits was through a correction, since at 3800.3900USD, there was a good pull of liquidity ...

That way, it's like I personally see the market, now what I think is, it can go up a bit more, but there will be another correction, there are other pulls of liquedez for 3400-3600USD, but of course, the wisest thing is to wait, since the Volatility is what makes this exciting.

Yes I am sure about it and it will increase very high I think we will have to buy now for trading because price is really good but still after this bull start I only suggest you people to trade for long term as day trading needs allot of knowledge and some basic skills at the same time for current situation it is only good to keep holding one day it will recover again.

Each procedure can be great in the correct minute, likewise any methodology can demolish you on the off chance that you do it in the wrong minute. Exchanging is tied in with picking minutes for purchasing and moving, yet on the off chance that you are a genuine dealer than you have bitcoins and cash, and gold and numerous different resources gracious holding. Individuals can't comprehend a certain something, you never exchange with all that you got. You never bet with all that you have, you have to realize the amount you intend to spend today and to have for tomorrow, and if there should arise an occurrence of market sudden turns you need different resources for spread some loses and proceed.

When the market conditions are poor, I follow some rules. If the market is bad, I never become impatient. Because I know there will be no such situation in the market. Very soon the market conditions will be as good as before. So if the market is in bad condition then I stop selling the coins. Then I became more careful to buy coins. Because the prices of coins are low when the market is bad, then when the coins are purchased, the coins can be sold at a higher price later on. So I obey this rule when the market was down.

Thank you

If traders and investors are not light-handed (very easy to sell) when prices rise only a few percent. of course the price can go up high, because today's, many users will do panic selling when the price rises even with small margin, to take immediate profit. that makes the price still stuck in this position

Probability that there are already many people who are aware of it but in reality it is not easy to do that, make a stop loss before it's too late and continue trading to get a profit even a little.
Most people might choose to buy more and never sell back even though they have lost a lot.
this is my advice, save the asset in your portfolio and trade again without having to touch the asset.

Indeed when time falls it use to rise as well but waiting for right time is important too, at this time selling is just like letting the market fall even more than this, price has surety chances to rise so don’t lose your patience and don’t trade until you be sure about your profit, don’t hope for fast profit, patience heals everything.

As you said sell the ETH and bitcoin when market down, i also disagree with you, when market down then we sell them, we are doing double mistake. When market down just hold them, with a passage of time, definitely ETH and bitcoin give us triple or more than it profit. Now you could see the bitcoin price has started to go up.

Anyway, I expected this, the bear market was too long that many people couldn’t wait to see the bull run, the little bull run they saw today, amazed a lot of people who invested when price was $3k and saw it as an opportunity to take profit which was a wrong idea, but I do hope that they will reinvest again to push the price back up.

With the current situation that we have? I don't think that there are a lot of sellers at this point. Just look at the volumes, steady at $20 b at day. The situation has improved a lot so If there is a good advise now, that is to continue to hold and wait for the price to go to 5 digits again.

We have seen the market go down countless number of time that I am getting used to seeing dip already, I joined the crypto community in 2014, and ever since then, I have seen Bitcoin dropped countless number of time even up to 60% loss, but we would always see a rise in price, yet a lot of persons don't want to learn from the past and hold strong to the crypto market, instead they just give up on the market and believe that nothing good is going to come out from it, when will people learn lesson from previous report.

Stability is required for Bitcoin at this time. If the value of Bitcoin can be stable in the coming time, we will see more volatility and it will certainly trigger an uptrend in the market. It may be difficult to raise prices, but if everyone has the best optimism then it will only be a matter of time before things start so be patient and choose a good investment right now

I think this perfectly works in a bear period. Everything is under uncertainty so you are much safer if you sold early after seeing it dropping between 3%-5% in a day. The price will always go down after gaining because the major sentiment of traders on that period will always be negative.

Traders always take little profits along the way and that is some how quite different from investors.  I believe those that are saying we should hold are investors and not traders.  Those that buy bitcoin when it was around $560 in November 2016 and did hold since then till December 2017 when bitcoin went as high as $19000 and sold has really make money from the market.

You should not quit easily from trading because the more experiences you have gained, the more chances you will be a good trader someday. Failures are only there to motivate us to be more firm and strong, and if you can survive through the tests of the market, you can be a profitable trader in the next years to come. Just be patient always.

On the contrary, given that the vast majority of cryptocurrencies are called to be forgotten over time, this business does not seem to be conducive to those who like to accumulate items for years, waiting for a large increase in the price that makes them rich overnight.

Perhaps holding is only recommended for a few reliable and long-lasting cryptos such as bitcoin and ethereum, but in general terms it is not applicable to the market in general.

Sometimes the price drop can be just a simple manipulation and if you put too small a stop loss, you can skip the growth. Therefore, in each case, you need to make a decision depending on the situation.

Lol, you are not cursed bro, all you need first is to take time of trading market, use that period to learn more about trading, especially how to use technical analysis to determine the entry and exit time, get exposed to more trading strategies and during this time, instead of leaving completely, have some coins for the purpose of holding, that one is easier, you don’t have to get yourself worried about the time of selling because no matter how, it will always yield you a good profit if the project is a good one. It takes more knowledge, practice and believes to really succeed in this trading.

maybe to get a small profit when market prices experience a slight increase can only be felt by daily traders, in contrast to long-term swords they certainly can take advantage of market conditions that are always decreasing by buying more potential coins to hold, so they can get bigger profits and of course it can minimize the risk of losses because they believe that some of the coins they have will increase in value in the future

You can always set a stop loss whenever you do trading. Not knly when the market tends to go down but in 'every' trade whether in binance or in bitmex, they had a stop loss features. Yes, it may save up your huge losses if ever. Anyway, we must remember that we shouldn't buy any altcoins but we have to choose wisely what we should invest.

It can save you up losing more as it's the real purpose of that feature, knowing how to play with the market and what will be your set target goals, day trading is a tough unless you are really willing to take chances and risk your investment, many traders who succeed from this venue learn from their previous trades and adjust to make things favors them.

That is wise thinking, I must say, trust me and thank you for sharing it. I think that it is very possible because Bitcoin is volatile and has been rising in the market lately. However such thoughts should be taken into considerations when it is a bear market like we had couple of months ago because only then you have the maximum profit margin when your initial cost is low.

Still, many altcoins are showing big dips to accumulate them now. For example, ethereum is not kicking start along with bitcoins whereas BCH was flying with bitcoins, hence it is time for buying more ethereum rather than bitcoincash. But, personally I rarely touch altcoins as I do fully focus only bitcoins for long term.

I think it should remain silent when the market is down. You should wait patiently if the market goes down. Because we know market conditions will not always be the same. Market variable The market conditions can be better once again. At any moment the price of cryptocurrency can be increased again. So I would say we should be tolerated when the market conditions are bad or if the price of cryptocurrency decreases further and the price of cryptocurrency should be wait for the increase. Because once the price of cryptocurrency increases. Because this is the rule once price will decrease once again.

Thank you

it's a good time to buy when we taking a dip when bitcoin pump to 5k, almost all alts having a red candle. What I do is buy some dip, because i think the profit flowing from bitcoin will go to new assets like an alt, my bet at that time was a btc-sv and celr. It has a nice recovery after taking the hit from bitcoin pump.

Bitcoin and ETH use to move along with each other and most of time they rise in price just at the end of the year but this time still the price seems to take much time for huge recovery, so buy more when the market goes down we will have to keep patience and wait honestly with your investment, never panic just keep holding and buying more at low price.

Already tried this but trading is really not for me. I have been cursed I think. When I try to sell when market is down, it bounces back again leaving me behind and a little bit of loss. So I never tried on trading again, it is really not for me and for some folks out there. Talent, Analytical Skills, Hard work, money and most of all LUCK.
If you are going to try with luck, gambling will be a better choice. If you have knowledge, experience, timely behavior, luck will be in the background. Or if you can not do it, you should take a break until you learn.

Sell all ETH, BTC into Stable Coin when the market goes down
Well this is true I have some friends who didn't do this and when the market crash they couldn't do anything but to cry one of them lost almost 70% of his investment.
Back when I was holding some alt-coins I would usually set up a goal when to sell them .

I think that at the level of market speculators, everyone will follow the downward movement and benefit from it, at some point there should be a correction, which will affect all the altcoins, because when bitcoin corrects, all the other currencies go down, and if You are an investor, you should be clear that at this time despite this rise in the market, it is best to hold until the bitcoin changes to bullish trend, it does not matter if it goes down, you do not have to sell, just wait as long as necessary.

Thats why  when i make a sell and dont keep seeing the charts. Because i tend to get anxious, and getting anxious can be bad for the rest of the day. At least that happens to me.

We cannot predict what will happen to the price or the value of the coins as of now, the movement of its value is normal. By the way, my advice to you is to HODL them and wait for the coins to rise again and grow.

There have been several factors why market seemed to be very volatile, it's regulation is just beginning, it is still progressing- it's brand new. Price drops unexpectedly, but I can see that it has been its normal trend and market has so much potential to recover. One of the most applied strategies is buying cryptocurrencies and holding on to them for a substantial period of time. Don't panic, stay patient while staying strategic and informed in dealing the volatile field of cryptocurrency. Volatility is part of market growth and in generating profit.

When the market goes down I don't feel panicked and don't feel disappointed and because of its fluctuating nature and must be ready to accept it, not only enjoy when prices rise and benefit.
and what I do in cryptocurrency is investing in the long term, which is not always a problem when the market is down, because I'm sure where there is a decline there will definitely be an increase in the right time.
and my advice when the market goes down tries to calm down and holds a coin that you hold tight not to do the wrong thing or sell at the wrong time, and make a purchase when the market goes down and hold it to wait for the market to bounce back.

I find that many people have a habit of holding ETH, BTC, altcoin for a long time and always hoping that it will rise again.
Mainly because they're just scared to risk their money since they knew that they might lose. Oh! "scared" is a harsh term, saying "playing safe" is better :).
If you are a trader, you will lose money for that. Set small target and sell them when you see profits. I only need 3-5% profit when trading.
Of course because that's not a proper strategy for a trader, that was applicable for a hodler. Traders, whether daytraders or occasional traders, should be more aggressive and always keep an eye on the trend because if they're not then poor outcomes could happen, it could be either you lose opportunity to get profits or get losses (money below your capital).

Sound advice for someone trying to make day trades. I think day traders need to practice this first and keep it at heart. You won't make 3 to 5 percent profit everyday but make that amount by majority of the month and you'll end up with good profits. Some people just aren't up for that kind of active trades.

First of all I will do my best to endure that frustration to gain some money and if that won't make it work I think the best choice is to sell of your money and start a new investment in which you also gamble. The thing is no matter where you go risk is always nearby there are always risk especially in investing money on crypto's.

Every time the market goes down, we usually have regrets of not selling our coins when the prices are still high. But if we're into this business for a long time, we would be able to do the simple rule to gain a good profit no matter what the market situation is. Let's just take advantage of every market situation. Just buy more when the market goes down.

It seems easy, but in reality it will be very difficult. In fact there are no coins that can really stabilize when the price of Bitcoin or Ethereum starts throwing at the market. Because the decline in bitcoin will have a big impact on altcoin and can make panic everywhere.

It is how every newbies starts their journey in trading field. If the person really needs the profit they will buy the coins at the low price and have the trading experience cool. They need to have the mindset prepared for any thing and choose the right by analyzing the candles where the price turns up and where turns down.

Right.Seize every moment in crypto market. If the price is in bearish, then start buying potential coins while its price is still low.And once its price increases and your target selling price has been reached, you can sell them and make profits.Sometimes holding for so long is not good at all.Atleast you still make consistent profits even if its not that huge.

Fake News: This problem is everywhere. The news is like gossip. It may take a long time for them to destroy their reputation and rebuild what they destroy even without the truth. In sensitive markets such as Crypto-Currency, false news can cause huge damage, so we must always be vigilant not to let them degenerate. I don't think there is any need to worry about the so-called short-selling plan!

Your "advice" is quite normal and it is done by many people. Whenever the market goes down, it is advisable for you to store your BTC and alts to USDT for you to be safe. It is served as your "safe-haven."

This is only advisable for stable coins or coins that is not so much in demand or dos experience lots of fluctuation, but for a coin like Bitcoin, it will be a very advise you give yourself to sell them off no matter how low the price maybe, and no matter how low, there will always be a picking point to the moon.

Every time there is a price drop in bitcoin should not be a point of withdrawal for us or point of selling off our assets, but should be a motivating point to buy more to add to the existing us, in future, we will surely see the positive effect of such action on the value of our investment.

Instead of converting any one of the the ethereum and bitcoin that you have make sure you will do your best to add more the coins with cheap price.

Not everyone are ready to take risk so they just stick with holding rather than doing trading for increasing the capital amount.BUt when someone have enough skills and time to trade then they should be definitely have to day trade or short term trade.

You are right, if we can follow this strategy, we will be able to balance things and not have much gap between win and loss. I have been following these strategy too but I don’t do it often which could be tied to greed somehow.

Because, if I am fortunate to have the price seriously increase, it looks to me as if the 50% I left aside is a waste and would have done something better to give me more profit, but it’s true that we have to learn to trade smartly, it’s better to have something aside that we can use to balance up, since the market will not always go in one direction.

USDT is the last shelter in this market and we can secure our assets when the market falls. I have been looking very close at the market since long and I understand very precisely that if you are in the down market, you should make use of it by investing as the cost of investment is a down market is considerably low.

If you do that, you would be very able to maximize your profit once the market starts recovering. So, what I plan to do the next bear market is to speculate in Bitcoin and ETH. Keep analyzing about perfect buying points will help anyone to make use of falling down markets.
