Title: How do I know the trustworthyness of a new coin?
Post by: batdog890 on January 11, 2019, 07:10:15 AM
Hi people,
I am relatively new in this field. Having done some "trading" of alt coins in 2018, I would like to seek the opinion of more experienced traders and hopefully gain an insight as to how can I better differentiate coins with higher potential and coins which are basically crap.

Thanks in advance!

You need research more on cryptocurrency and how it works then after you will come to know about the potential of a coin. Without knowing anything don't Invest in any coin, if you want to invest give prior to top 10 coins of the CMC chart.

Yes presently there are more than 2000+ cryptocurrencies available for trading on the market. Each cryptocurrency have a different vision & vision targeting specific industry or sectors with their business model. There are few cryptocurrency which have similar missions and visions i.e competitive cryptocurrency example ETHvs NEOvsEOS etc. If you want to know the trustworthiness of  of a new coin then you will have to do little research on them. Before starting your research you will have to clear your basics first like
>how blockchain works???
>Difference between different kind of cryptocurrency such as Coins, Token (utility & security) etc
Then choose one cryptocurrency which appeals to you more or in the field which you are familiar with. Then start your research like team background, technology, community, how they are working on adoption of their technology by users, their weakness & strength, their competitors, their daily trading volumes on the exchange. This will help you analyse some coins or token.

Coins with potential are on the market (coinmarketcap). There is detailed information about each coin. So read, analyze and study. Usually promising coins are on the market in the top 20.

There is only one way for you to know, that is to spend time doing research. I will normally check on the team members, read the white paper, join the official telegram group to interact with the team members and community.

The new coin should not be too new if you want to know its trustworthyness. And some coins after one year disappear. Some coins don't completely disappear, but they are being traded very rarely.
You should look at the coin forum, reddit, etc... Look if there is more development or more work from the team to make the coin more known to people.
The more users a coin have, the more chance it can be trusted.

Basicall reseach is must, if you want to do a successful trade you really need to look for a coin you can look for its volume because it can be the basis for trading the higher the volume the good chance to have a good trade is.

Go with their background. If the team is unknown and doesn't have any good track record, I'll start going away with those coins. But if the team is known and keeps on working very hard for the progress of a coin, you should consider that coin. Why are you going with the new coins? it's good to stay with the coins that are already established. They may somehow expensive but the volume of these coins can give you the profit that you wanted if it moves even to a small increase.

If you're just starting out, you can check reviews made by other people on that coin to get a basic idea about it. If you're willing to put in the elbow grease, you can check the various features that specific coin offers like privacy or decentralization. You can check how valuable such features are by comparing them to other more popular coins. If the team releasing this coin has been trustworthy and released a few good potential coins then you trust the new coin as well. To be honest, the best coins to invest in are already on various markets top coins list. I would suggest that you invest in these established coins rather than finding very young and newly bud coins to invest in. I might be saying that cause I don't have much of a risk appetite myself  ;D

You can identify a cryptocurrency that has a high potential to grow in the future, if the developers and the team behind it are working hard to make progress on what is stated on their roadmap, if not then who will want to buy a coin that has no future improvements, right? But of course the coin should have a future use cases for people to adopt it, if not then it will be just like other shitcoins that are being pumped by short period of time then suddenly gets dumped that will be dead eventually. If it is a new coin then it will be hard, we have seen a lot of projects that has the potential but still failed and some just turned into scam. I also do trading but what is important to me is the trading volume.

You need to read updates, news, and other developments of the coins. You need to follow them through their website, social media pages, ANN threads, and other outlets where you will get them updates. There is no other way but to do this. Of course these are the fundamentals. You will also be gaining good strategies if you study and learn the different patterns of trading. That is, if you want to know the technical side of the rise and fall of prices.

At the moment, it is very difficult to talk about the real potential of a project. The market is very speculative. Those coins are growing, around which a lot of hype. Once this nonsense will end, but not in the near future ... That is the reality. The technological part of the project does not matter.

I think the team now can be faked by other people and it's hard to search how trustworthy this team because there are a lot of coin and also the team, for me I will see their code if they github is live but if they don't have (maybe prevent the copycat) I will see others aspect such as the website, whitepaper, and sometimes their partnership

In short, research.
You need to look at everything to do with the project: team, roadmap, white paper, etc.
You also need to look at any relevvant external factors, so competitors, potential legislative obstacles, etc.
Basically evaluate how likely they are to achieve what they want, and also if they do that, how much real-world demand there is likely to be for the coin.
If it is a coin that has already had its ICO, then look at how close they came to hardcap (i.e. how much demand there was for the coin).
Obviously if it is a live coin then also look at trading history.

If you're only interested in short-term trading then there are other specific trading strategies and tips to follow; the above is just for evaluating the overall long-term prospects of the coin.

Coins that are in the top 10, or even up to top 20 are sure coins that have long term potentials. These coins have already proven track record and capacity to weather the bearish crypto situation and will continue to do so. Aside from that they already have the solid community supporters that will make the coin on top.

If indeed you are a trader there is no need to worry about the quality of a project because you just there to make quick bucks and move on, what you need to do is to follow the news, hype and know how to read and study the charts, if you can get these things right then you should make money trading unless you are an investors

To get a worthy opinion you'd better choose a trader whom you will trust and pay him for a consultation. Here you'll get only useless pieces of advice which won't help you and even do harm!

Easiest option is to wait. I know if you wait that you will miss out on the possibility of making money but in the end you can still make money or even at least make sure its trustworthy. So, it depends on what you want to do with this new coin. If it is buying early and making a ton of money later is what you want than you will have to risk a bit because even if the coin is trustworthy and the people behind it works really hard to make the coin really high they might just fail because of reasons they can't stop themselves.

Hence, even a trustworthy coin project could fail. However, if it is only caring about a coins trustworthy than just wait couple months after the rounds close and than check if they ran away with the money or if they are really providing the things they promised, worst case scenario you will catch them at early road map and get in before they keep improving the coin.

Frankly, the trustworthiness of bitcoin and alternate crypto currency all depends on you

You own the coin, you trade then
You compare their differences
Compare the real world use case

And most importantly do your own research

If the coins are coming from the new ICO, I think that looking deeply at the concept and ideas of the project technology is a must. We must know what kind of projects that offer the coins, what we ca utilize it, what the future, and also the team that manage the coins.
besides, the coins must have the good volume and value on the exchange. We can see them on the chart without dumping drops.

Visit CMC sites and top markets, there you can see lots of potentially traded coins and find out also how they were born or when their ico was run, it would be more profitable if you have a lot of capital to buy all the coins that have potential.

It is necessary to constantly monitor all Internet resources in which the project participates, follow the news, updates, their development and implementation of plans, also interact with team members, and pay attention to the work of managers and administrators with other project participants.

This is a problem that many people work on. I think that today you will not be able to accurately determine the degree of confidence in the project. The fact is that the market today is a terrible situation.

This is very simple, but you need to more read about some project which bring that coin, You have to know about new coin you want to buy, then the project is run or development, and at last you need to know about the team that makes the project.

actually, if we want to become a trader the main thing you have to look at is trading volume. because of the volume of trade, we can conclude that the coin is in great demand by people and indirectly the price of the coin will be better than the coin with little trading volume.

A very hard question yet this is the most common thing on where investors or traders do seek on.Trustworthiness would vary on a certain project but by means of success any coin wont really
guarantee fixed future or the thing on whats ahead.
Believing on a project which do have potential is do really like a gamble. If you do search up which is an advantage but this wont really be an easy task for you to make a choice.

But also we need to make sure that the volume is for real, as pumpers can manipulate the market and create artificial pumped just to
attract traders and trapped them up as many possibilities can happen around the exchange, make sure you also study the project so
you have an idea if there's real community behind.

read their whitepapers or website and look for the roadmap if theyre on schedule or doing anything about the project. Some altcoins takes year to develop though. Its a gamble to buy and sell new coins.

It is very difficult to choose a good project, follow the news and evaluate all the risks

This is a rather complicated question considering what reputation the majority of coins use in the current market, however, the project partners will not allow to lie and they are an indicator of the success of the project, for me.

To me, it's very difficult now to know which coin has a great potential and which is crap. All you need do is follow the project closely, if you see anything interesting, then research more before making up your mind to invest.

its hard to find if the coins is trustworthy or not. maybe just take a look if the project is promising. how much they raised on the ICO? is the token is already on a good exchange?  already launched the mainnet? make a research before investing in new project.

To know on how a coin is performing you may need to get those information from coinmarketcap sites as every information you need about most of the coins listed there are available.  I got every information about most of the coins from there.

It all depends on what you want to do with this coin. If you plan to trade, then choose coins with a large daily trading volume and good price fluctuations. If you need a coin to invest, look for a promising project that has not yet had a pump.

I think it's not easy to know if a new coin is trustworthy or not. You'll have to check so many things behind these new coins like project, team, partner,....there are so many new coins have good team and also really trustworthy but sometime they're not good coins to invest in. You should know that trustworthy doesn't mean good to invest in.

You need to look at its trading volume in 24 hours, you need to count the number of dumpers. A new currency may have a price lower than the ICO price, but it still has a high volume of trading because there will be investors who want to own it. With a high volume of transactions, trust it because there won't be any bad things because its development team is enthusiastic.

Technically you cant possibly tell 100% sure that the token will be successful or not, because of the volatility of the market that the project is depending on. You can just try to invest to the coins that are trusted and listed.

A live and working product or at least an interactive prototype is always a good start, a large following on social media with regular engagement and updates from the team.  Also you could check to see that are a legitimately registered business...

As mentioned several times already, you just need thoroughly research and look closely into the details. How are they qualified? what financial backing do they have to support the network? etc. These are questions you should be able to find answers to if the project is legit...if not hold on to your pennies and stick to the top 10.

If you really want to know the worthiness of the new coin try to look on their platform and study if this coin will have potential in the future. Furthermore, I think it takes time to study if the coin will worthy to invest but if you want in a new coin try to check their website and the team.

Trading altcoins require good skills

Patience
Intelligence
Smartness and speed

Patience while doing your research
Intelligence to figure focal information about the altcoins
Smartness and speed to send tokens to exchange and cash out your profit

This is a question I have answered over and over again and will not stop answering it until everyone gets, you can identify the trustworthiness of a coin/token by studying the project behind those coin to see how feasible the project is.
We did not just jump into the purchase of bitcoin because we had faith that it would be worth a lot someday but because we read satoshi white paper and saw the feasibility of the project. So in one word, just do your own due diligence.

New coins won't make it into the top 100 of coinmarketcap but that doesn't mean they are crap. Cheap if the team is real and actively promoting the coin, also check activity on github to see how many commits they have done recently

For getting a trustworthy coin you have to research continuously. you have to stay with it always need to gather more information , data and analyse them. i think you will get  the right coin.
Without trusting other saying, you just follow yourself by research.

Basically the best thing you can do to determine which altcoin have a high potential to shine in the market is check first the white paper: this include their roadmap and how the project works in that case you can gain knowledge if the project have a strong fundamental to run in a long term. Consider also the team behind the project because in this kind of industry there's a lot of scammer in the market, if you do this step you can decide which altcoin have a potential and which altcoin is scam(shitcoin).

There is no good in investing new coins for me because most of it are down due to market trend. There are only few new coins listed that made a market price increase because most of it are down. Meaning investing in a new coin even if it is a promising coin is not a guarantee that you will get what you expect. But still if you will not risk then you will not going to earn also. It is very hard to decide in the case like this but if you are willing to risk and invest then do more research before putting your money into that project.

Hi people,
I am relatively new in this field. Having done some "trading" of alt coins in 2018, I would like to seek the opinion of more experienced traders and hopefully gain an insight as to how can I better differentiate coins with higher potential and coins which are basically crap.

Thanks in advance!

The basic tools one can use to detect or rather differentiate good coins from bad coins lied strictly on the problem the said coins came to solve, the prospect of the coins, team behind the project. These tools had actually helped me figured out the best project or rather the best coins that will produce great profit in the future, these are my personal tools as shared.

The most general rule for newcomers to evaluate the "trust-worthiness" of a coin is to look at its relative position (not immediately after a pump though) and trade volume on coinmarketcap. Most of the shitty coins are way down the chart and are bear bigger risks (also potential rewards though) when you buy them. You can then go further to find more about them in their various descriptions, as well as other external sources. You are likely to find some reddit discussion if you dig further. The integrity and expertise of the team is of paramount importance.

To get a worthy opinion you'd better choose a trader whom you will trust and pay him for a consultation. Here you'll get only useless pieces of advice which won't help you and even do harm!
Bitcointalk has spams but there are some experts are also available here,so if you can read all the repilies from the thread then there will be some useful news for the OP will e available for sure. But there is no secret to be successful in crypto trading you need to trust a project and invest on long term,I won't do it with new coins but definitely with bitcoin.

- Yes, white paper, project schedules and plans, these are really important things that we should check before we start investing in a new coin, consider it as closely as possible because these factors decide a lot about the future of the project. Make sure the developers and their teams complete all the goals they set, if they are delayed in the plan or receive many complaints from the community, that will be a red warning for us, we should stop participating in that project because the community's voice is the face of the project, the community is a place to show the credibility of the project

You need research more on cryptocurrency and how it works then after you will come to know about the potential of a coin. Without knowing anything don't Invest in any coin, if you want to invest give prior to top 10 coins of the CMC chart.

Top 10 are the best to look at they say but its the number 1 that you should stick to. BTC/USD is where to most volume is which is why you should also join the party. There is a bad side specially if you don't have much funds for the fees, if this is your issue go to XRP because trading fees are lesser than you can thing of. Now you don't have to wonder why XRP are good to trade while majority says its a shitcoin.

Search for the credibility of the team behind the project. If the project is having a professional team then it can be trusted but if things don't look that good then avoid the coin.

To trade, it is very easy to choose coins, you only need to pay attention to the daily trading volume for a particular coin and choose the most popular coins in trade. It is also a good idea to choose coins with good volatility.

Reliability of information always depends on the source of information, so if you choose a token for investment, you yourself are looking for all the necessary information about the token of its legality and other issues because your money.

I don't think relying on reviews is a solid guide whether a certain ICO/coin is trustworthy. We need to dig deeper and do a background check on the team behind it. Also, if the team's information is not shared publicly, then that would be a BIG RED FLAG for me.

But, that will be no guarantee that what we are getting through various sources are correct and reliable information or not. Because now a days, scammers are turning so smart and making up everything a perfect look like. In my experience, investing into new coins/tokens must be a gambling because almost we are investing blindly even after doing hours of due diligence. Because, this industry is turning like that and cannot be making sure that we are handling things under safer hands at any point of time too.

The only thing we can be sure about just having calculated risk like we are investing only with affordable amounts and we are ready to wait for months to years. Analyzing potential of the coin is becoming a too difficult job hence we need to act in different ways.

New coins won't make it into the top 100 of coinmarketcap but that doesn't mean they are crap. Cheap if the team is real and actively promoting the coin, also check activity on github to see how many commits they have done recently
No. New coins can really make it to the top coins in the crypto market only if the project is good enough to compete. Think about the early days of ETH and it was big enough to challenge Bitcoin within three years. So technology expands at the speed of light if the demand for it is immense but I think there would not be such projects around because it has been long people are loosing in the new projects which means the innovations are yet to come.

First step mate is to read their whitepaper and discern through it if the project is worth investing in or not, don’t also overlook the project team, get the teams involved and research more about them,  their lifestyle, achievement, their level in the industry and how business oriented they are, the last step to take is if they have already existing and not new or already entered exchange, go through their coin historical data that to see how far the coin has fared  in the past and also present.

Haven't trusted any new coins of recent because of my experience when i was a bounty hunter and also investor. Last two years to be precise i invested in a new coins that seem good with potentials but what i got backed was horrible as my invested went down to hell. Before i invested into the coin, i read their whitepapers, checked on their team members and their social media profiles did more under ground research but still end in the deep. After this incident i vow not to invest in any new coin again because there are much tendencies for those coins to be scam or shitcoins.

It is very difficult indeed to know the trust of new coins because in reality almost all new coins are scam and become a failed product, so that it is not feasible. To find out new coins that have potential is to do analysis. We have to wait for the development of these coins, usually coins that have the potential will have many investors. In addition, it also has a well-known company sponsor, because usually if have a well-known company sponsor the chances for success will be great. But this is not easy because even if you have analyzed it, it is not certain that the coin will be successful, the possibility of failure still exists.

A lot of developer and project scammer’s even go as high as passing personal review on the project on the top review sites.

Like you rightly said, if an investor cannot get or find any meaningful information on the project developers or their core team members, one need to deeply think twice before investing in such coin, though this is not the only factor that determines if a project is legitimate and viable, other factors to be considered are out there for the investor to research. Above all, once should invest a certain amount of money once can part away with or easily let go if the project fails.

Do deep research. Read the white paper and it's well written and makes sense, look at their team, their advisors, even do reserach on their investors. I would then look at their social channels and see what the community is saying about them or in the news. One project that I really respect ATM is Ampleforth because they really hit all the marks on what a great coin will lead to

Small market cap coins also can compete with working products of dominant ones. Top coins have better value and strong points but this idea is not proper for finding new trustworthy coins. Delisting doesn't happen in a day and known exchanges don't simply delete trustworthy projects.

You have to know the team behind the project because this the only way to know if they are trustworthy.

You have written a detailed instruction for a beginner. I want to add that in the analysis, I also pay attention to whether large funds invest in it. This is a very significant indicator.

Basic and simple, try to use the crypto, trade it and invest it. You can see how good its transaction is, and then try to search and know its trends and news if there is more hype and community then people are trusting that coin.

Therefore, if you want to find potential altcoins. Then look at the top altcoin to find which altcoin has the potential to trade. Because if someone doesn't know how it works, of course it's very risky to take a new altcoin. It's better to have an altcoin that is potentially. Try to check the top altcoin.

There are thousands of altcoins and most of them are having a hard time because of the bear market. Just get updated on their communities and check for development and activeness of the team in marketing and project development. Also, check if the team is keeping their word on their promises to investors.

It is no longer enough to rely on the project whitepaper to determine if one should invest in the project or not though it will still help at least by 50% . First step is to fully know the people behind the project, most of them have their own personal businesses they have been running, look into their businesses and see how they are fairing, any right ICO will give you clue to this.

Also, look at the project they are offering, do you think yourself as a business minded person that it address the need of the society around and also entice them and finally, also look at other function the coin might be used for. Main advice from me, start looking for STO project because in few years’ time, this will take away ICOs.

Logically, do you really think looking at the coin volume is really a major determinant ? Let’s assume about 1000 investors comes on their platform today to check them out and all decided to invest basing it on volume, has the present volume not increased by 1000 ?

If same thing happen next day too, will the volume not keep increasing, in fact, this is one of the reason why people fall has victim of scams because they go into project because everyone is into it without checking the credibility of the project.

In my own opinion, the trustworthiness of a new comes in this form; when after listing or prior to listing, the team is already working on the product they are aiming to introduce or enhance. It is this product or services will make the team commited while the coin keeps appreciating in value which might not be instantly but will happen.

New coin usually not listed on the coinmarketcap, especially if its still on the ICO so its hard to trust new coins nowadays. There are ways to know if the project is scam or not, you just need to study everything and also ask the developer everything you want to know.

When you are trading then always look out for the top coins which these coins already prove out that they are trustable enough and it can really be seen on the rankings on which coin is being mostly traded.
The fact that they have higher volume which means they are more volatile which is the best place for a trader to utilize buy and sell and possibly get out some profits and about trustworthiness we cant really conclude
on altcoins to be trustable forever but as long they are on the top spot then they are still capable.

Also, the activeness of the team in this stage matters as it will show how effective and capable they are in staying true to their roadmap.

Hi people,
I am relatively new in this field. Having done some "trading" of alt coins in 2018, I would like to seek the opinion of more experienced traders and hopefully gain an insight as to how can I better differentiate coins with higher potential and coins which are basically crap.

Thanks in advance!

I will advice you to critically study coin market cap first before you invest your hard earn money so as to avoid loss of fund
Marketcap is not everything and i thought that you must keep in touch with the team directly and if they are trustworthy and then they will give you a good instruction and they will never fool you. This is working a lot.

Knowing the trust of a new coin will about 99% depends on the promoters or developers of the coin project. If they are experienced entrepreneurs, then there is great hope.

You need to check the ICO by yourself. First of all, I am usually looking at the website and trying to check the team members. Secondly, I am reading the whitepaper and trying to find if it was copy pasted or not. At the end, I am checking the community stats and looking at their MVP.

The best way yo know the trustworthy existing coin is through the maturely level of the involve in terms of providing the correction the community need, following the roadmap and level of community support.
For new project, the genuinely team involving information provided, the concept of the project, the project supporter (either private company or community) and the rate of the team attending to blockchain summit to advertise the project which is as a sign that the project is their number one priority.

Do a research about the coin that you are interested in. Get as much information as you can. Find out who it's creators, what they have created before, analize that and then decide about it's future. Does it have a possibility to grow up? If so then buy it.

If you are in for trading, I will suggest you get a reliable signal group where you can get which altcoins to buy and trade per day. But if you for long term trading, then try as much as possible to investigate the projects that you will be investing on if it will worth the wait or not, restrict yourself from investing on tokens having huge supply.
I wish you all the very best in your journey of crypto trading!

Lol it's easy to determine which is the untrustworthy coin if that was a fork coin. Any fork coin is a scam right now and i should not discuss it a lot because we all know that fork coin is a scam.
It's difficult to determine the trustworthy ico coin because you must do a lot of research to get various information.

If the coin increases the number of users and is actively working on its development, then the project is probably good. Therefore, we first check and study the team. Then we check that the team cares and supports its product, and check the overall activity of the project on official channels and on social networks.

I always have doubts when the team conducts pre-sales or some closed sales. And the very form ICO too often causes concerns. I like when the project is simple and open. When the team does not ask anything from users and develops the project on pure altruism. as for example in the project Sound Money Coin.

I think the best approach to this or nay other thing at all in life regarding to investments is to make proper findings and research. When it comes to investments, it's not all about seeking opinions from people which most do but going into indebt research, reading about the project or establishment, then following personal instincts.

This field of trustworthiness comes with a tedious work and a precious time, you need to spend time reading the coins whitepaper, check their social media handles and interact with the community and most importantly, do a vivid check on the team behind the project or coin. These research will surely help and prevent you from being scammed.

If indeed you are a trader there is no need to worry about the quality of a project because you just there to make quick bucks and move on, what you need to do is to follow the news, hype and know how to read and study the charts, if you can get these things right then you should make money trading unless you are an investors

I do not think this is right not trying to know the true state of a coin before buying it whether you are a trader or investor. Everyone should research the coins they want to buy, trader or investor. With this you get to know the content of whatever investment you are making. An investor is also a trader because he has to sell before he can make profits too.

Thus, only trustworthy projects will list on a good exchange while working on their project to offer what was promised.

I beg to disagree, it is not the trustworthy but rather the one who have the fund to be listed on that exchange.  There are several worthy projects that were not listed on good exchange since they lack funding or do not want to spend millions of dollar to be listed on that exchange.  On the contrary scam project will do their best to be listed on "good exchanges" (high volume) so that they can dump their token the first time it pumps on that exchange.

To be able to know if the coin is trustworthy, you should check the team member.  The era of anon devs is already over especially in the world of ICO since they are asking for a fund.  Trustworthy coin is transparent, they present their developers and show their milestone and activities, they are also open for an audit if investors requested to.

You can check Upcoming ICOs (https://cryptolinks.com/ico) list on Cryptolinks, I’m using it for almost every day thing. You have to make research on the team ( their past experience ), analyze the WP, roadmap, the vision behind etc.
Their supportive community is also very important in the success of a project so follow their social media activities
and look for some insights.

But if you want to find reliable projects by researching yourself, you should gain experience. So, this is not something you can learn by reading an article. For years, you will get experience by recognizing good bad projects, and you will see when something is wrong.

New coins are even the sweetest and fastest way to make money, every coin that enters an exchange newly seriously has the chances of getting pumped within few weeks, once you can invest in them before the pump, you will be lucky to make huge profit after the pump once you can catch it, though not the safest means but still the surest means of making quick money.

At the same time, when it comes to investing as long term, it is sure not the best way to get engaged in new coins except the project is a very good one that the investor can really vouch for.

You can start by looking at how the team behind it, whether they are working hard for the coin and how they will be taken and of course you can see their track record. It's a little difficult to know which new coins have the potential and can generate profits later, it takes patience to continue to observe coins that we think have great potential.

The price falling of a coin usually reflect that the coin is not keeping up with the promise and also have very poor development progress that making their holders just selling their token because they now that the future is not bright with that. I kinda know what you're meaning in this one.

What you have said is still the best way of making choice of investment, to look at the top and look at how long they have stayed at the top but my problem with top coins is that for new investor, they are quite too expensive and you know that quantity also matters in this game mate, I understand that whatever little one can buy is still something, at least it will still give profit.

That is why I still make research on quality projects that would not cost much and still have the tendency of making me so much profit in the future, although the safest investment to be a part of now is Bitcoin which I also believe a time will come that 1 satoshi will cost much too to get.

First and foremost, a new crypto coin can be considered as a coin with high potential when the coin is actually backed by a working product that has a specific aim in providing solutions to the gaps since in the world and the crypto space. New crypto coins with no specific feasible aims have the tendency of becoming shitcoins. I will encourage that you spend some time researching and reading more about any new crypto coin you come across before taking any action. This will help you know whether the coin has a good potential of becoming a great coin.

The main key is to do your own research. One good thing is to ask in the forum which you already did so you know where to start. Second, get a complete active list of coins and do background check. Check also the trend of that coin. If there is enough information we have gathered, we need to compile it and make our top list of coins.

You dont need to trust anyone. You trust the code. If coin is not opensource you ditch it. If is open source then anyone can check what is in it. So everyone can see what it does. And if you believe that is what you and other people needs then you buy some.

You really can't 100% trust anything. That's why it is very risky to participate in a new coin. But there lies the rub, it is the most profitable period to accumulate it if it becomes successful.

The best way is to research on the background of the main developers. Anonymous devs don't cut it anymore too.

It seems to me that it is very difficult to study each member of the company's team, since we cannot find reliable information about all the participants in a particular project. Who can not every company has a reputable people in its composition. this is one of the factors that i usually look for in every project. but even if they have working app or product already, check for the number of users and their feedback. usually you can easily see their feedback if it's an app. also, check the legitimacy of the project, if they have license to operate and where. most of them are using estonia or other countries with loose regulations in terms of crypto, you need to be careful with them. it means, they can easily get away from their responsibilities in case something goes wrong. read their terms and conditions also.

Altcoins that are usually vague and funded left by investors cannot be trusted at all. Trust only an altcoin who are already established, who offers solution to the problem. Also, do not eventually easily trust with those top 20 altcoins, mostly they are just being on top by fake volumes.

- I don't think the information you ask people to check is useful for determining the credibility of a new coin in the present time because this information can always be counterfeited in great detail, although we may be experienced in analysis but the project can still trick us. And so, instead of looking for opportunities and successes in the new coin, maybe we should still focus on the old products, the development of these products is more stable, and reliability can be said that it has been identified many times in the past until now, the profit may not be too high in the old coin but very safe

You can't. Basically figuring out the trustworthiness of a coin should going to be start on, figuring out the best that the project can bring to the market. How well that market is implemented, and how strong is the team supporting the project. In that case, the strength of the marketing will determine the strength of the coin in the future.

so many new coins that appear and believe in new coins is only a little trust, because most new coins don't have the power to develop.
it's not all bad so if you want to find a good one, you have to find it by researching every coin and knowing about the work team.
New coins have the opportunity in the future to grow but require a long enough process to make it happen.

i am not a trader but i see some strategies of long term traders who make a deep analysis of a projects coin before they make a bulk buying and usually they do it before the coin became popular to many users.

Check the volume of that coin and you can determine if they are crap or not.

This is a very an effective method that will surely work for an already established project, but for new coins, volumes might not be enough to distinguish good ones from bad ones, especially when the coins are new, that is when they get enough volume from traders that are very smart, they buy these coins very much and wait for it to pump and dump them.

It is during this pump waiting time, that accumulation becomes so high making the volume of the coin go high, and that might be the time an investor who took your advice comes to make investment decision. Volume is good but not to be the only determinant factors, we should only take volume as part of our many parts of decision.

You need a very thorough study about a particular project since reading or investigating into a coin may not be enough. Its quite difficult to know the trustworthiness of a coin.

Short-term traders don't use fundamental analysis. They usually just play with the charts to predict which coins will be pumped, even sometimes they will read and follow some coins's news. Also, they don't really care bout fundamental things as shitcoins can be pumped as well sometimes.

So, since the market efficiency is still in a weak form (I believe so), just pick the coins in a big exchanges that have been too long in a dip, wait them to be pumped then make some profit from them.
